Joo Jin Mo plays the adult character and he does it soooooo well. From his sultry looks to manly voice, anyone would swoon for him. The emotions that have been portrayed and the acting done by him is absolutely fantastic. You can feel every emotion he is going through - brilliant! If you haven't seen this series ... please watch it

I have never seen a Korean movie or a drama serial of the same here in farthest north of this Island of Ireland, but “Empress Ki” got me reading the history back again. Superb acting of JJM has got me searching for his other movies by him. Best wishes to this humble actor, n wonderful person. I’ll look forward to see him in more forthcoming serials n movies.

I started looking for more of his movies and tv series. The more I saw his performance in frozen flower, woman in a suitcase and currently just finished Bichunmo (the dance in the sky), the more I admire JJM as an actor. Hope to see him in a more current or new movie and series.

I have watched over the years many films and series, but Joo Min Jo absolutely lived the part and obviously studied his character so well. Such an emotional roller coaster. I would rather have him alive in my mind. I just loved his character soo much and what a voice he has and what a brilliant actor he is . I had never watched any Korean series before but now I will watch all his movies as I have become his huge fan . I wish empress ki had preferred him rather than the the emperor it would have even more interesting to watch. Wish to see him in more movies.. ( I love Donald Sutherland ‘s beautiful voice) Now This my first time noticing him. Will be rooting for his movies. I often transit in Incheon airport. Would love to meet him but it is a pipe dream. I had many Korean friends who used to be my neighbors in England whom I taught them English and taught them to drive( I am a lousy driver) They drive better than me! I lost contact but I think of them a lot as I watch Korean movies! I can even speak a few words. I am old enough to be JJM’s mum. My son is similar age. I am on episode 31 and I have not use my remote to fast forward.any second .Great plot! History makes one think of how cruel life was in olden days and even to this day. Love all the characters! Great portrayal of characters. Keep up your great work JJM! You look better JCW though I love him too! I live in a small house and lockdown with cast of Empress Ki has been wonderful! Thank y’all! Virginia Jul 18 2020 2:54 pm I love his role as Wang Yoo in Empress Ki. Although he was dethroned twice in this Kdrama he continued to portray the true values and image of a true king. That is why I felt so bad that he has to die in Episode 50. Anyway, that is a period film and we cannot change the real story. But after I finished watching Empress Ki I googled JJM and found this page. Just want to let him know that he definitely is one of the best Korean actors I have watched so far. His face is so perfectly handsome and the emotions he threw in the role he played are very real I could feel them in my heart. I love you JJM and hope to see more of you in the future. Then yesterday i watched 200 pounds beauty and find the actor is so handsome. Not realizing it is the same guy. I went on googling and came here. Is very surprised to find out it's the same guy with empress ki. Wtf. No wonder he looks familiar but i can't put a finger on it. I guess he is one of those guys that looks more handsome as he gets older. Also he seems skinnier than when empress ki. His facial cheekbone is more prominent in 200 pounds beauty.

Anyways, his transformation is great!

I will be looking forward to watch his other works ... and I do hope there is a sequel to My Love Eundong.

j Jul 30 2016 8:48 am Joo Jin Mo is one of the few Korean actors that is naturally handsome. Look at his past photos and you will see that he looks the same, just an older version of himself. It's not a secret that some Korean actors undergo plastic surgery to enhance their looks. I'm not against that, but it's just my personal preference to admire actors who appreciate their natural looks. It just so happened that Joo Jin Mo is born handsome that he doesn't need surgery to alter his looks.

He is also a great actor that it only took me a single drama, Empress Ki, to be a die-hard fan of him. His acting is powerful that it affects you, his joy and pain becomes yours. I will never forget his Wang Yoo role because that is when I became a fan of him and never looked back since then.

My first experience watching a Korean movie with sub-titles. I will hope to see more movies with Joo Jin- Mo starring. Better talent than most American actors and much better looking.

He didn't get any cosmetic surgery unlike maaaany actors, singers and so on, he's naturally handsome, I have nothing against surgery and people who have one or two or more, but you know it's always a delight to know someone is naturally good looking . I have read comments from overseas viewers (out of Korea) from time to time regarding why Joo Jin Mo has not become well known in Asia in terms of his outstanding acting skills,charisma, and handsome look. I normally dont comment like this, but youre performance along wtih the other main characters and almost everybody in Empress Ki gave justice to the drama series. It did not only entertain but gives the viewers lots of values epsecially youre role, the Empress, the Emperor as well as Tal Tal's role.

I love the values which shows humility, love of the country, not being greedy for power, fame and money. A good values that I hope to be practice by all people all over the world.

Joo Jin Mo's acting is so credible and brilliant - so effective that when his character, Wang Yoo, dies in Empress Ki, that episode ended the drama in EK and should have been the finale. Joo Jin Mo's acting stole the show. Wow. All the actors were believable and they portrayed their roles well. The writing and directing of EK were brilliant, too...but, Joo Jin Mo - WOW!

And because of that his death in EK was so devastating. I can’t imagine other actors playing the role. He IS Wang Yoo, Wang Yoo is Joo Jin Mo. You can’t distinguish them anymore, it’s like they are one. I am hoping for another sageuk drama from him, but a better ending for his character. I didn’t know this actor before, but because of the series, I became a die-hard fan. I cried for his role. That’s how effective he is, affecting the viewers by being an awesome actor that he is.

His acting skills are totally unmatched and exquisite. Meeting him in person and shaking his hands one day would definitely be a dream come true. ivana Nov 16 2013 10:53 am I watched Frozen Flower first and fell in love. I watched Bicheonmu and was convinced that he was one of the best actors out there. There was so much difference in the persona between the characters, and his many layered and nuanced acting in Bicheonmu itself had me sold on how he gradually grew up from being an inexperienced recluse to a tragically hurt commander. I then watched his Cdrama Flowers in Fog. He's not the main character in this drama, but he is definitely the one that stole the show. His scenes were electric, especially in the first half of the drama.

The salient & sole reason behind my wishing him so well is that i have developed a genuine crush for him right after i ended up watching the not so romantic triangled commercial flick ''Wanee & Junah." His gesticulations, expressions and other intricate nuances was worth tempting. He was incredible. Mahn, the more i see him the more tempting and irresistible he gets. I know i'm good but only a best chick in the world can match up with the superlative stature that he inherently holds in the South Korean industry. I don't know i am an appreciator of his not so good smile, i am an admirer of his expressive ever curious eyes and last but not the least i have been captivated/enchanted by his cute looks. I antagonized as well as envied the stupid Wanee played by Kim-En-Sook to condone Junah's presence as still she was unsuccessful in overcoming her past incest liasioning with her obsolete kiddo looking step-brother. I wish i was there in her place i would not never have lost Junah. His gracious looks are eternal.
