Michael Karlin Jan 19 2022 10:53 pm The great man passed away on October 2, 2012, aged 87. His movie career began in 1952 and his last role, in the 2012 film Dearest, earned him a Japan Academy prize for Best Supporting Actor (Japanese equivalent of an Oscar).
