gori sama Apr 11 2026 10:15 am I just watched kdrama in 2025, I fell in love with her talent, when she was in the drama my golden life. then I followed some of her dramas, I felt the 2017-2021 drama of her, it was very good but somehow the following years I didn't feel the same feeling as 2017-2021 in her dramas, I feel like Netflix drama.

Then, in Still 17, she stole my heart, and I confess that thanks to this healing drama and the performance of this incredible actress, I was able to begin to heal. Still 17 is a drama everyone should watch; I highly recommend it.

Chey Oct 08 2024 9:10 am I was on the fence to watch My Golden Life when a friend suggested that I bingewatch on it for I started kdramas a tad late way back 2017. After The K2, Healer, Empress Ki, I did gave Shin Hye Sun a try thru My Golden Life and boy, oh boy, how much I loved her to bits! Then, I watched Angel's Last Mission, loved her mysterious character in Stranger 1 & 2, but she definitely nailed it in Mr. Queen!!!!! ????

And as they say, the rest is history!!!!!

She's so amazingly good in this drama, Dear Hyeri. I hope is status during until their final episode. Also, I'm falling in love with Lee Jinuk soooo much in this drama!!!! My ovaries are bursting at its seams! ??

She isn't afraid of working with rookie writers and directors instead of sticking to working with popular and established ones not that I have anything against other actors but it says a lot on how Haesun trusts the material and she does characters that will diversify her repertoire. I just really love the fact that a top star like her, best actress of her generation, will fearlessly take a lead in debut works of creative minds that just started their journey in the industry.

If you were ever looking for someone to raise the level of your production to new heights, Shin Hae-Sun is the actor you need. She sets a very high bar. Mr Queen really allowed her to showcase her physical acting and unsurprisingly is great as a serious fighter in Brave Citizen. Even watching her pound on a punching bag is realistic. She can transform from sweet and cute to a sweaty boxer with black eye and puffy face and totally watchable either way! Def my favorite actress and too bad she doesnt fall on so many 'best Korean actress' lists (which are often more like 'most beautiful actresses' with their very limited standard of beauty) He upcoming series she will play a person with multiple personality disorder, daebok! If she pulls that off she will certainly finally get a big award. In the history of cinema it's has been very difficult to pull off that kind of role but if anybody can rise to the challenge it will be her. I think she chose this role to specifically challenge herself.

I know it's not good, but I keep comparing every character other actresses portray and I keep on imagining how Haesun could've possibly portrayed if she was the one on screen. Most of the time, I think my God Haesun could've done this so much better. I mean not to shade other actresses but she set my standards so high on acting, I can only see her and imagine her onscreen it's crazy. Now I wish she stars on more movies and dramas because her talent is a force to reckon with in the industry. I'm so excited for her and I feel like crying because what did we do to deserve a talent like Shin Haesun. I always say this but it's brings me unimaginable joy to see her act. Plus I agree with user @Mar below, what a grave injustice that her talent is being overlooked by award giving bodies. Like hello? She didn't win anything for that goosebumps-inducing portrayal in Innocence and don't get me started with Mr. Queen when its a fvcking cultural reset! Girl deserves her Daesang and more!

Markus from Germany Jan 21 2024 2:21 pm After watching "See you in my 19th..." and "Mr. Queen" and now still in "Welcome to Samdal..." on Netflix I have to say that I'm impressed by her skills and versatility. She really owns the screen and has something special. And even when I (a german) have to relate on subs...it's her play and emotions...sometimes goofy, funny but also very dramatic and real and you can see it and don't even need the subs to witness it. Only few really good actors or actresses have this ability. I hope she can also speak english, because someday "Hollywood" might call, haha. ;) Anyway great korean acress and I'm eager to see more of her in the future.

She just sweeps me of my feet, so incredibly convincing, heart rending, captivating is her acting, just stunning from beginning to end. Every production she does is better than the previous one. Shin Hye Sun is the best actress. Sadly her recent drama was a miss. Could have worked if she had a different ML.

That's why am excited for Welcome to Samdalri because both are good actors. I hope this time she gets nominated and get that award she deserved.

Jookyung Jun 18 2023 11:25 am Mr Queen is the first drama I watched from her and all I can say her acting is sooooo damn great the way she playing 2 roles in one body. The way she make Jang Bong-Hwan and Kim Soyong very distinguishable despite it is just her must be quite hard but she truly got that from the way the dialogues spoken, the gestures, and so many more.

Definitely will watching her new drama but I will do it later after it finished considering i like to binge watching

When I watch Mr. Queen, it warms my heart especially after having a difficult day when I need to feel “less heavy” or just need a great laugh. Working in the health field, I found so much of my colleagues enjoying Kdrama that I do so much.

I can feel the passion, the hurt, the betrayal, the disappointment and the great love in Angel on Mission she portrays in her character. I love that she even enrolled herself in a ballet class to fully understand her role.

My favorite character she played though was the series from Five is Enough. Here you see her growth and the ability to play a passionate and naive young lady learning about true love. Her male counter part is also one of my favorite actors. Great chemistry is in Five is Enough which is a wholesome drama which comforts me because it conveys the every day real life situations of a blended family and life’s awkward moments, struggles and amazing joys.

I started twenty years ago with my mom and it’s a passion we both share. Through time though and life events I didn’t watch it continuously until now.

I now look forward to more of her in the coming decades. Thank you for sharing your talent to the world.

Since then, I have watched most of her previous work including 17, Angel, My Golden Life MGL and Innocence. Her work in MGL was incredible. She displayed such a huge range of emotions that I found myself drawn to her. She made me smile, laugh and cry almost at will. She is now clearly my favourite actress, both Western and Eastern, and I hope to see her in many more shows in the future.

I recognized her in Still 17 and found out that she was sooo really good in acting. She's so good in every dramas she portrayed as if she's done it in her own life. Then, I was hooked in her acting in My Golden Life. The emotions were all burst out and everything went soo perfect plus they have so much chemistry with her leading man there. Especially now in Mr. Queen, even in a romantic comedy, she really fits well, she slayed the role and gave us pure entertainment and she doesn't deserve every critic she received after the issues about their recent drama. And now, I realized I was wrong, she's incredibly beautiful in her own way and I am looking forward for her next dramas and the roles she will next portray. And really without a doubt, she deserves every awards she receives and one of the best leading actress in the korean drama world.

It's really frustrating how I cant justify her talent enough with words because I think it transcends beyond what I can describe... If you watch all her works especially her dramas... just be prepared to be mindblown. She's not a typical actress because her ability to understand her characters, her ability to digest them fully, and portray them onscreen exceeds expectation. She's an acting genius if there is any way to put it. Mr. Queen gave her wider international following, but I pray her next works will stream on netlflix simultaneously so that more people will recognize what a gem she truly is...

She’s not just a lovey dovey girl next door actress. I knew her first in Stranger, now I’m loving her in Mr Queen. It’s as if the character was made for her, I can’t imagine anyone potrays the Queen except her. She deserves Baeksang Award for this role. I really hope she shines more and more, and potray more challanging roles in the future.

She caught my eyes because she was so cute and sweet and later on I was so impressed by her acting talent. Then I watched Stranger and My Golden Life. I watched her other dramas like Legend of the Blue Sea but I only watched the scenes she was in because for me those are the only scenes worth watching!!! It is crazy!! Anyway, I guess I'll just leave a comment here because I absolutely had to share my appreciation for Shin Hye-Sun somewhere, and if it is going to be among fellow fans then all the better!

I happened to have seen SHS in other roles, I just didn't really pay attention! She was in minor or supporting roles so I guess that's why. My focus must have been elsewhere, but when I watched My Golden Life she just floored me. I fell in love with her! What a wonderful actress she is, and her performance in that drama was top notch.

I'll definitely be looking forward to her work in the future.

Sunrise May 04 2018 2:33 pm I have discovered that SHS was in drama FOREVER YOUNG as a manager for a rookie idol. She was so young and cute there, she had short hair. Anyway the drama is captivating right in the first episode. It's about young people life, dream in a share house. The scenes are in Seoul and also in famous beautiful places in Viet Nam. It must watch among a forest of dramas.

I like her when started watching legend of blue sea then followed by five enough and now is my golden life which breaks the rating up tp 40. A good point. Another Great Actress Nov 21 2017 1:01 pm I accidentally watch many dramas with her and always love her acting. She's a very detailed actress. She really know how to deliver her lines and make the scene come out the best. Sometimes there isn't a script for her in that part and the camera didn't even focus her but she still act in her character and it gives a good background. I always feel satisfied whenever she shows up on the screen, regardless of the role she's playing. She really did good job in every role she played.

It wasn't until I watched Legend of the Blue Sea and saw her role of the mean Cha Si-A that I finally started to notice that I've seen her somewhere before. I have to say, Shin Hye Sun really is underrated for her side roles, amazing acting!!! Keep it up!
