Dan is an angel. He is also a troublemaker and also an optimist. Yeon-Seo is a ballerina who does not believe in love.

Dan then receives a mission. If he succeeds, he can return to Heaven. His mission is to find true love for Yeon-Seo, but Dan soon falls in love with her.

She might throw tantrum every time, but it's understable by looking at her history. The male lead, he was cute, but a little bit exaggerating, but it's okay since that was the character he was trying to potray. Then sometimes I got boring in the middle but still I love the ending. Probably gonna rewatch it sometimes later.

Lee dong gun as ji kang woo. his acting is marvelous!! he pulled off being the creepy guy and amazed me by his acting. i've watched many of his drama. he played lead roles as well as 2nd lead roles. he skillfully acted in many different characters. such as "queen for 7days, Marry him if you dare, sweet 18" etc. he's a very talented actor and he's my favourite. i am in love with his acting skill. he can pull of any type of character . please make many many dramas starring Lee Dong Gun. he's really amazing.

Decided to watch this because of Kim Myung Soo but fell in love with the acting of Shin Hye Sun! Kuddos! Thought she won't be able pull off a lead role but I was surprised in her versatility!

euju Oct 17 2020 12:22 pm Usually i have a lot to say after i watched a drama but this drama is really perfect. There's no room for criticisms at all. Everything is so perfect like the casts, their acting, the storyline, the production, the osts and just everything. Idk what to say, just watch this drama if you haven't. I immediately became shin hyesun's fan after this drama. Just a reminder, always prepare a box of tissue before you watch this. You'll definitely cry when yeonseo cries. I've rewatched this drama multiple time, i already knew what's gonna happen but i still cry when danyeon cry, smile when they're happy and feel like i need to kill nina's entire family when they did things to yeonseo. Like Chicago Typewriter, this drama is so perfect that i don't even have anything to say.

I loved the plot, the ballet dancing, the acting. Everything about this drama is brilliant. It's not the typical cliché storyline. It'll make you laugh and cry at the same time, so prepare a lot of tissue.

Kudos to the writers, directors and actors. They all did an amazing job. I rate this 100/10

Matthew Jul 26 2020 2:07 pm what a masterpiece! thank you for everyone whose were involved here. Those Cinematography, Choreography, OST, were delivered picturesque. They create many BGM and songs (32) just for the drama itself.Eventhough the happy ending was quite short of time, I think it should be atleast 10 minutes specially for it, but yeah overall awesome drama that really itchs my heart and mind. I wonder how i can find simillar drama somehow in the future.

this drama was so romantic and heart wrenching and it really just tugged at my heartstrings. shin hyesun and kim myungsoo's chemistry was so good and they portrayed their characters so well. The story line was amazing and I really just couldnt get enough. Easily one of my top fave kdramas! must watch!!

My favourite character by far was Keum Nina, she stayed true to herself throughout and had brilliant character development. The chemistry between the main two leads was amazing too, especially the female lead!

This is a lovely must watch!!

Naz May 16 2020 6:07 pm All of a sudden the girl's attitude changed towards the male lead. I won't hate on the actress but the writers should've created a gradual development and not a complete flip. She became cutesy and clingy from frigid and stoic in maybe an episode and a half. Although she has a good heart, she went from b*tch mode to a nice girl with a snap altogether. Story lagged at times, ballet director was creepy and his storyline ending left more to be desired. I also think leaving the main character blind would've been much more interesting while showing her struggles with dancing and stage presence.

Rosie Jan 20 2020 8:17 am I'll give the drama ctedit for the acting skills and osts but I didn't understand at all how Dan suddenly became a human. It didn't make any sense.The last episode was way too rushed. There was no explanation for anything. I thought we might be able to see Hu again but even that part was left unexplained. So the ending kinda ruined my opinion of it.

Ayrx Dec 25 2019 10:58 pm This drama made it to the top of my list. There are very, very few dramas I make it through without issue and this is one of them.

Shin Hye Sun played a character with a difficult personality which is something I feel like you don't see too much in lead characters and I loved it. She made her character empathetic for the audience while still maintaining the character's integrity of who she is. As for Kim Myung Soo, the role he played seemed to have been made for him. After knowing the character Dan's backstory, Kim Myung Soo's portrayal of his character was perfectly executed and lovable. Both actors performed beautifully and you could really feel the chemistry between the two through the screen.

What I really loved about the story was the level of desperation you see in the characters later on when they're backed into a corner. Despite the fantasy setting, it felt very human and believable. I can't recall seeing this level of desperation in previous dramas. There are a few repeated story elements you see often in asian dramas but I felt there were enough unique elements in it to set it apart at the same time.

Overall, watched it twice and I feel like I could rewatch it a 3rd and 4th time easily (and this has never happened until now.) My husband watched it with me during my second time through and even he liked it and said even he could rewatch it a second time through. Both of us teared up and had our heartstrings pulled. And I think that says something (esp. since he's not a romance buff.)

I hope other's continue to give this drama a try. Beautiful settings, fairytale-like story telling and innocent characters plus noticeably fitting OST.

Cheri Oct 31 2019 1:52 am I love this drama. There were many many times where I was mad at Kim Dan for making Lee Yeon Seo cry. Kim Bomi was so precious in here. I feel like 2nd main guy didn't fit, he was just too damn old. L and SHS are such a cute couple. Ost is beautiful. SHS trained really hard for this role, which I appreciate and love her even more. Overall I'll give it 7.5/10.

Kimmy Sep 25 2019 3:22 pm The first episodes made me fall in love with this drama so much..but then, the episodes after just felt flat to me. Characters just changed, it felt like the story was all over the place. Lee yeon seo suddenly became nice, Dan suddenly became too serious and they were suddenly too in love. Also, for a fantasy drama about angels, the angels seemed too clueless and had so little powers. Even Hu the archangel, couldnt understand anything at all. It just wasnt exciting. But the music and the acting was good in my opinion. I love L and Shin Hye Sun as actors. I loved the show but just not as i expected i would. And i loved Geum Ni Na and Ji Jang Woo together, they would have made a lovely pair but the writers disappointed me on that part. But anyway, its a happy ending for the leads so...

Mira Sep 07 2019 11:04 pm (pt. 2) After some thought, the right word to describe the drama is “sentimental.” It’s not your typical romantic comedy fantasy, it’s really full of emotions, both happy and sad; you can really “feel” the characters’ feelings. The trailer doesn’t even reveal a lot, which I guess is a good thing to intrigue people. There’s so many more exciting twists and turns in the drama itself.

Mira Sep 07 2019 10:54 pm It’s been 2 months since I watched it but I can’t move on. Usually my PSD (post-series depression) only lasts 2 weeks, but the feeling this drama left me was really deep. It takes a lot for me to feel that way; it’s kind of nostalgic but also melancholic, it’s hard to describe how it feels when you finish this drama.

Seriously, if you haven’t watched it yet, you need to watch it. Not only is the acting, plot, and chemistry great, but the OSTs are also superb. Each episode had me yearning for more, which is why I’m glad I binged it. Also, you will probably cry a lot and smile a lot—my emotions were everywhere. Both Myungsoo and Hyesun delivered their character very well.

Kind of spoiler, not really:

Long story short, it’s a happy ending, just in case there’s people here who don’t like sad endings.

I recently watched a Chinese drama with the angel theme too called Love is in the Air....also good. This ballet theme is different and appreciated.

SeoDa Jul 30 2019 1:57 pm "Holy F**cking Cow" I was rendered speechless after watching this amazing masterpiece of a drama,prior to watching it,I was skeptical due to the fact that I was not really into fantasy drama but I decided to give it a go because of Shin Hye Sun and just gotta say I was definitely not disappointed one bit . When I started watching it,I wasen't expecting it to be this great,enamoring,captivating and addictive and to be my best kdrama 2019 and i definitely wasn't expecting to be hooked up on it,from the perfect acting of the cast,to the sizzling ? chemistry and the catchy OSTs. I laughed a lot at the funny scenes and cried a lot too at the sad scenes. Well enough rambling but just gotta give a complimented Kudos to the cast and crew. Definitely rated 11/10.

Daisy Cat Jul 28 2019 12:38 am I had a hard time with the first 2 episodes (4 if I count with their new format of 30 minutes). I just couldn't really get into it for some reason. I'd pick on everything that didn't make sense and it completely took me out of the story... Needless to say I had no motivation to continue. But I did ! And oh boy I don't regret it ! The entire OST is a treat, and the actors are so good ! She is an amezing actress, truly. I already know her but was still mindblown. He clearly wasn't on the same level, and sometimes you could tell he was a bit... "lacking", but I was still very impressed with his acting. I mean... I don't know if it's just me, but the way he looked at her... It can't have touched just me ! A forbidden love done right is a always a win for me, and this one clearly is. I don't keep "official" tops of the dramas I watch (I watched too many) but this one is up there for sure ! mini Jul 27 2019 12:31 am this seriously shot up my list of best kdramas, probably taking 3rd now after healer and i am not a robot. the acting is brilliant, the plot was well-written and not too cliche. the chemistry is perfect and hyesun is very good at showing her emotions. myungsoo has great expressions and made me laugh and cry a lot. just expect your emotions to go on a roller-coaster because not everything is what you will expect! highly recommend to watch especially if you're into romance/comedy/fantasy :)

It was such a nostalgic yet wondrous drama I've ever watched so far! The main cast and supporting actors and actresses did their character in drama, well done! And the OST songs for this drama is superb and have a connection to the story. Every time I play those songs, I felt like I want to cry because I remember the scenes of this drama.. My heart were so touched by those OST songs.. I hope it will be the "Best OST" and also I hope they will receive an award as "Best couple award", "Excellent Actor/Actress", "Best supporting Actor/Actress"..

I have watched a lot of kdramas for the past years. When I actually heard about this I was thinking that this might be another cliche drama where there is a boring plot and simple romance. that's when I had the time to watch this drama. The first episodes gave impact already. Mr. Jo's death made me cry for the first 2 episodes.Shin Hye Sun's acting was very great. I felt her character whether her scenes are sad or happy. I love L's portrayal of being an angel. He's funny but at the same time, pure and loving. I admire Lee Dong Gun. whenever his scene with her lover is shown, i'll really cry my heart out. He loved someone with all his heart and it was taken away from him. I cried for the last 3 episodes where Angel Hu died just to give Dan some time to spend with her love. WHAT A GREAT STORYY.. and also,their ost made us feel the story more. Klang's Pray was the best,whenever it is sung, I always cry.

I think Kim Myung Soo’s acting has improved and was good too especially certain emotional parts and some funny parts. Reading the comments that he can’t act (below) actually made me critique/evaluate his acting in the later episodes. but before reading those comments I thought KMS nailed it as Kim Dan. He’s so good looking and cute lol Plot of the drama is interesting and still keeps me wanting to wait for next weeks episodes! Hoping for a satisfying ending!

But, i do agree in some cases where he acts awkward. The scene that I was bothered the most was where Kim Dan was crying on Yeon Seo's shoulders in the garden. That scene could have been better. I didn't see any raw emotion or vulnerability from Myung Soo's acting on that scene.

There is a lot of people who like the romance i think only people who are not bother by KMY can like it. Its because Seung Woo/Dan wanted to become an adult when he was young so he can protect Yeon Seo but because he died, he couldnt. So God made him an angel and for his last mission, He lead him back to Yeon Seo so he can finally fulfill his promise to her.

- It wasnt because he saved her thats why he should be responsible for her, that would be plain and He could have easily just punish him and make him dissipate because it's not the first time he has interfered with lives. But it's because he was clearly connected to her, that's why He sent him to her so that he can have his peace (he died too young) and know the truth behind his death, its also a way of reconciling him with an old friend (Yeon Seo) who who would have never known he died if it wasnt for Dan bringing her memories back to her by sending her to perform near the beach.

Its All About Connections Folks So Stop Complaining.

Gosh, why cant people see the details on the story. It would be easier for them to connect the dots than complain like a jobless person who doesnt know what to do with their time so they just want to hurt other people by saying the storyline was boring even though they dont even know how a story flows. Go write your own then and see how it works for you.

Here's another question. If they cant use the childhood friends storyline then, How will you explain Yeon Seo feeling Dan next to her even though he was clearly not on his human body?!

Nobi Jun 20 2019 5:51 am the drama is so good even though its plotline is predictable for me (i tend to see even the small details and connect them even before the story unfolds them so i'm not easily surprised). i love shin hye sun's character so much. she really is a good actress because she portrays her character so well who has been sheltered all her life and just now bravely coming out of her shell. the struggles and pain of losing people she love can easily be felt because of her tears and expressions. i also love how detailed she is when it comes to showing how child-like her character really is. i really love her character development as well, she's no longer the greenhouse flower but a flower in the field who must compete with other flowers in order to bloom.

Couples are really good in acting! they should get an award..Hye sun is really good in acting and Kim myung soon too!!!!!! Myungsoo's acting is really good, he's good in every character from all his dramas but I prefer his acting here. He is more manly when he acts funny, I hope he will get more roles like this! His role really fits him. Also Hye Sun I am not surprised with her acting because even before she already got a talent. She is very realistic, it seems that she is not acting.

Kim Dan probably was in the hospital, comatose and his soul is wandering around and doing good deeds and now doing his last mission to enter heaven if he dies. But his last mission happened to be Eun Soo and their encounter would make him struggle to want to live and be with Eun Soo.

Also, this connection may have something to do with their relationship being "valid". For instance, if Kim Dan was never really an actual "angel" to begin with since his childhood shows that he was a human while in the drama, they showed that a dying human do es not turn into angel and angels are entirely different beings; thus, making both the MCs relationship possible

And on this drama, I realize that Kim Myung Soo do his acting more naturally. Better than his role before. I suddenly fall in love with him. I think, he is really fit to act as Kim Dan / Angel Dan here. He does not look "playing a role", but looks like doing something he always do by himself. Great! For Lee Dong Gun, your acting is always good. I hope I can see you playing a role in a romantic comedy again someday. I hope it will be a good end for Yeon Seo, Kim Dan, and Ji Kang Woo. Fighting!

Anyway, I decided to watch this because of the two main actors and it exceeded my expectations. I mean, unlike others, I am really impressed by the childhood storyline part and the end of episode 8 left me so curious. (Never saw that coming)

And being a Christian, I like the part when they are referring to Bible verses.

Forget about other angel dramas!You must watch this! It is unique and special!

Its another "childhood connection" line story, which already much circulating in Kdrama lately and its become boring with this childhood connection. Why cant find another relation beside the childhood connection? Or make it that they dont have any relation at all in the beginning. Im really excited at first because the story is about an angel and a human. but because of this, im really disappointed. Not worth to watch again ?

He gets wings when it rains because i think its either he died when it was raining or because his first interaction with yeon seo was raining or that time when they were kids and yeon seo saved him from drowning and it was raining too. But yes, he will dissolve if he doesnt finish his mission of finding true love for yeon seo. It could be anyone but of course its kim dan. The handkerchief glowed when they kissed so i think it was a sign that he already found one for her. But its not possible right? Because he's not allowed because he's an angel. But no, he's entirely not. He was a human. I think he died when he was a kid. Remember in the bible that children who die early become angels so that must be why. She was already introduced in the first episode where the dead secretary was videotaping her performance when she was a kid and she doesnt look anything like her mom. Also, kang woo's lover bled to death in his arms so its impossible for the girl to be yeon seo's mom. I think i'm right that yeon seo is a reincarnation of the girl. Or that someone who has a similar face with her because they say you have exactly 2 persons who look exactly like you so its possible. And its not yeon seo either. She did not forgot about him because you can see that she's not an angel or a deity who doesnt age. She was born and keeps aging. You can also see her interaction with human kid Dan who got beat up and she saved him from drowning and even SPOILER AHEAD danced for him in the beach. Kang Woo doesnt know anything about yeon seo except for the facts that he got from a detective. Remember how kang woo called someone and asked for Kim Dan's info? Yup, he has connections and does detective work for him. Also, SPOILER AHEAD the girl and yeon seo are two different people. Kang Woo got confused and told yeon seo she gets fever when she gets cold but yeon seo told her she doesnt, the girl was. So that alone proves that yeon seo isnt kang woo's lover

In the episode, Dan’s sunbae told him the story of an angel who chose to love a human over the Diety. He also said that the event occurred about 15 years ago. Yeon Seo obviously looked different and younger. I was thinking that Kang Woo’s lover might be Yeon Seo’s mom because I remembered that there was a scene where the lover was bleeding a lot, which obviously shows that she was in an accident or obviously she’s dying. I also remembered that Yeon Seo said that her parents died in an accident too.

And that is to choose between him turning into dust or erasing her memories of him because he is an angel and committed a sin of falling in love with a human. Im sure he’s been watching over her and trying to find the person who caused her to be blind..that’s just my theory :)

I should've seen it coming. The way he talked and called people, humans like Kim Dan. He must be very angry towards humans and call them selfish because she died because of them. And I dont think he's a very good angel but he's good for Yeon Seo. He's willing to sacrifice everyone for Yeon Seo, selfish that may be. And everything from getting to car accident and the window accident arent really a coincidence. I think he knew it was gonna happen. And he has been planning for everything from what i see on his board work.

Shin Hye Sun's acting is A+ for her amazing potrayal of her character who lost everything but still secretly wishes to have someone by her side. I believe she never lost her inner child within as you can see her cranky side like a spoiled kid but also has the wonder in her eyes as she gets to know Kim Dan more. She really got me sobbing when she cried after being called heartless. I could feel her loneliness and want to be just hugged and reassured. I am truly amazed by her character. It's either so well-written or Shin Hye Sun is really an amazing actress who can pull off anything!!

Best example is "My lovely girl" drama. 98% fans wanted Main actress Kristal to end up with L. That's not happened though.

The pattern is always the same -- L is cast, there are negative comments and disappointment, then glowing reviews of his acting when the drama ends. Most people are multi-talented. Just because you are a singer, does not mean you cannot act. I look forward to seeing L in this part.
