Hi Director May 10 2026 7:54 pm Most fans prefer Season 1 of Welcome to Waikiki because of the strong and natural chemistry of the original cast: Kang Dong-gu (Kim Jung-hyun), Lee Joon-ki (Lee Yi-kyung), and Bong Doo-sik (Son Seung-won). The comedy and chaotic situations in Season 1 were also more memorable, making viewers more emotionally attached.

In Season 2 of Welcome to Waikiki, most of the cast was changed and only Lee Yi-kyung returned, which resulted in a different chemistry and comedy style. Season 2 feels fresher, but for many viewers, Season 1 remains the more iconic and beloved version.

I only started watching K-dramas about 1 year ago.

The first drama I watched was Birth of Beauty.❤️ Honestly… I loved it so much! I really liked the cast, and after that I kept watching more dramas.

Then the second drama was Agency. ❤️ I didn’t expect that you were also the director. I was so happy! I really like corporate stories, and this drama feels different from what I watched before.

Now, I just finished Man to Man. ❤️ And I was so surprised again… you made this too! You are really amazing ^_^

I want to give you a big applause. Very good drama!

It gave me mixed feelings. I laughed, I felt annoyed with the villains, and I even felt shy during the cute scenes. It was very entertaining.

I also became a big fan of these three actors: Park Hae Jin, Park Sung Woong, and Kim Min Jung ?

Please stay healthy always. I really hope to see another new drama from you, especially I want to see just the actoors & actress in three kdrama I mentioned above.

I really miss seeing them together in a new story.
