Been watching him in everything since Thank You (2007) with Jang Hyuk. Glad he got over Covid though I read he was hospitalized from it at one point. Thank God he recovered! al Jun 20 2022 5:51 am I am leave a comment here again after a year. The actor reallly have many improvement within a year. Now, he is the mc for ocn variety show. Also, he appears as Jayden Lee in Doctor Lawyer. The viewers need to guess wheter he is good or evil. It's really match with him. I hope you get an award for this role. Not only appears on tv, he will get back to the stage. He will star in musical Elisabeth as Der Tod(Death) on August this year. Now, I am curious wether the actor will take another drama role this year.

You got a handsome hair style and unique persona. You are good either as villain role or protagonist role. I see some of your musical video, you sing well at musical count of monte cristo and sandglass. I rewatched a lot for "I will be there" song. I've watched more than half of his dramas and he seriously does so good in all of them, he deserves so much love!

I keep telling everyone he should play Edward Rochester's character in a sageuk version take off on Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. He has the Vulcan looks for it. Set it in the Joseon Era, it would be a HUGE hit! I don't know why the Korean entertainment industry doesn't think of it! He'd be perfect. The story is in the public domain, go for it, Korea! Favorite shows of his: My Love From Another Star, Thank You, The King's Face, Liar Game, Trot Lovers, The Last Empress, On The Way To The Airport, Vagabond.

It's just too bad he's so good at playing antagonist he might be continously typecast as such. I'm sure he can be a great protagonist even in action roles so hopefully, he does get a good break soon.

He plays non evil people really well too, but his villains are so good that they make me believe he is really evil and that the protagonists should be fearful because they may actually lose. It takes hard work to develop a character that well.

Like for real he must be some kind of superhero to play all these memorable characters in such a short amount of time and back to back. He would do EXCELLENT in a Romantic Comedy as the LEAD Character as well. Directors, you better get him in play. Shin Sung-Rok is Ready. "Fighting" ;-)

Dawn Jun 17 2014 10:03 am This might seem like a rude thing to ask from others point of view, but has anyone ever thought that Shin Sung-Rok and Sung Joon/Sung Jun (I Need Romance 3, Flower Boys Band, Gu Family Book....) look like each other. I could almost swear they are twins, depends on how the lighting and camera captures them.

Wouldn't it be so could since they do resemble each other so well, if they did a twin drama!!!! Just saying.

Both men are handsome and have a charm about them...that would be great on-screen. Hopefully a writer/director reads this and gives it some thought.

It is funny how Korean drama works, the pretty boy is the good guy and the masculine man is the villain which is totally the opposite in English drama. I think this what they called cultural shock.

Before he was just interesting. I thought when he was volunteering at the animal shelter he had a redeeming character until I realized he got off on euthanizing the sick ones. Like the dog he stroked and than smirked when he knew he would soon get to put him down. I thought..."hull...this guy deserves an award for best villian.' lol

The split personality...I like it. One second you have a tad bit of murderous rage and then the next you are all compassionate and stroking a sick and dying dog....wooooah. This is great acting. I just watched episode 6, and I so feel like you are gonna kill your brothers love interest because of the conversation she said she heard...I was really scared for her and so relieved when your brother showed up...but that doesn't mean she's off your hook yet.

Anyways, keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing what you will do next....good luck to you.
