I randomly tried a series called Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and was blown away by its quality on every level. I did not realize what K-dramas were. I never expected fo find such sophisticated storytelling as this. But what I most want to share is how deeply moved I was by Lee Jae-Wook's subtle, moving and heartbreaking performance, especially from an actor so young. The entire cast was absolutely charming and top notch but for such a young actor like Jae-Wook to carry a series as lead actor with such sensitivity and maturity was mindblowing. I hope somehow this token of my deep appreciation for how very much joy Lee Jae-Wook's performance and the humor, charm and depth of this wonderful story has given me. I was an actor myself for many years and I know that this accomplishment is no small thing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have watched this show 3 times over in ful with great pleasure and I will never, ever forget this K-drama series. Thank you TC

I wish we had more English translations as i often struggle with subtitles.I think Jae Wook is a Korean Keanu Reeves(Matrix)would be right up his street well done but remember you can only drive one car at a time, keep up the variety of roles as this will stretch your talent good job

He is an actor with a most tender eyes fitted to be a nice guy like a shining armor whom most girls fall in love with cause they are all princess at heart. He could also be a badass cold hearted guy whom other girls will choose cause they are mysterious. With his tender eyes and strong cool charisma, this man can conquer any type of audience if he will stay focus.

Though I was rooting for Rowoon as Haru in that series, I can't deny the fact that he have stolen my attention for a while. While Haru is a softie, Baekyung has this charismatic aura. Then while scrolling netflix, I saw Alchemy of Souls not knowing that he's the lead actor. I watch it then boom! I was hook by his acting once more and now I'm officially a fan. At a young age he has established himself as a good actor. The way he acts, his tone, everything about him makes me fall harder.. Haha.. And while waiting for another episode of AOS, I have watched DoDoSolSolLaLaSol. Been watching clips of him in youtube. I hope that he gets more lead roles and more recognition coz his acting is superb. And Alchemy of a Soul is so far the best among his dramas. Fighting Jaewook-ssi.

Chuchu Jul 16 2022 12:19 pm I love Jaewook. He’s such an talented and charismatic actor. His looks are amazing but to be fair, quite easy to pigeonhole him into tough/bully/antagonistic roles given SK’s preference for delicate, flowerboy type men in the genres he’s worked in so far.

Also, looking at his filmography, I just realized that when he was 19/20, he had to pair up with someone 13 years his senior. Even now, Jung Somin (33YO) is 9 years older than him (24YO). I’m not sure but this age gap would’ve been weird (though, possibly still normalized) when reversed. In a (twisted) way, Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is actually revealing of Jaewook’s actual real-life experiences and people’s perception of him.

Turtleesh Apr 04 2020 4:15 am This is the first time I'm leaving a comment on this site. I can not help but look for Lee Jae Wook other works after seeing his stellar job in Extraordinary You. As far as I could remember, I have never root for a second male lead this hard before. I usually find them annoying and almost pest-like. Well, I just dislike love-triangle in general, okay? It's cliche, it's trope-y, it's boring. If you want to create conflict in a budding relationship, there are Million Other Ways You Could Do It. Overall, in my honest opinion, the existence of a second male or female lead, whose sole purpose is to be the "obstacle" for the main pairing, should be demolished. But boy oh boy did this guy manage to be the exception. Dang It! So this is how the second-male lead syndrome feels like? Gah! I've never felt this amount of sadness for any deuteragonist (the closest one is probably that guy from Orange, but then again I don't really like the later half of the manga, so... yeah) ever. This is so effing frustrating! Congratulation for your amazing performance! You manage to make me feel emotionally attached to a fictional character, to the point that I start disliking (and almost hating) his love rival. Well done.

C S Feb 13 2020 12:58 pm I watched him in Extraordinary You recently and even though he played such a jerk I really found myself rooting for him. His character had the most depth and complexity in character and his expressions of anger, disdain, grief, conflict and joy all were so skillfully done and of course loneliness!! I then learned he was in two other dramas I had stopped watching midway because life! Now I'm watching those even though there's hardly any time because he is THAT good!! In Search WWW as Seol Ji-hwan, he is SO different but when it comes to his actor scenes, when he transitions from angry Minhyuk to soft Minjae to Softest Ji-hwan, the transitions are so amazing to watch, you can see it in his eyes and body language!! I can't believe he is only 21 (slight heartbreak of being 23, not sure if I can thirst anymore lol) and already so good at bringing so much dimension to his roles!! I haven't yet reached his entry in Memories of Alhambra but that character looks vastly different too and he has already proven how versatile he is so I am really excited to watch him!! And to see him with Park Minyoung and Kang Seojoon in the new drama!! I hope he keeps soaring and soaring and gets to play more varieties of roles because he can definitely do justice to any character he gets! I hope he receives all the recognition he deserves!! I am totally a huge fan now!!

He was really good at acting to the point that you can't only feel his emotions but you can almost read his thought. I can see him getting more popular and getting recognition for his acting in the near future. The scary and hooligan act as Marco on Memories of the Alhambra also left a deep impression too.
