Hye-Won (Park Min-Young) is an ordinary woman with good character. She has played the cello since she was a child. Hye-Won began her social life with her ability to play the cello, but, during that time, she was hurt emotionally by others. Due to that, Hye-Won does not trust people and she has closed her heart to others. Hye-Won becomes sick and tired of her life in Seoul and decides to move back to her hometown Bookhyun Village. There, Hye-Won meets Eun-Seob (Seo Kang-Joon). He runs the bookshop "Goodnight Bookstore." Eun-Seob's daily life is simple. He wakes up and drinks coffee, reads a book and writes on his blog. Eun-Seob's daily life begins to change after he meets Hye-Won.

Erika Jul 24 2024 12:13 am The romantic moments in this drama between the leads are very sweet, cute, and drama free. I loved the way Hyewon expressed her love through touch and sweet clingy-ness.

However, I have some issues. I'm a huge fan of Seo Kang-Joon (Eun-Seob) and he was beautiful and dreamy as always, but as slowly as this drama progressed, why does it feel like hours of his character development got left on the cutting room floor?

His reaction to getting the literal girl of his dreams was entirely too subdued. If I'm supposed to infer that he has issues opening up due to his childhood, I would have liked to see that explored between the 2 of them. When she falls for him, his demeanor barely softens and really only when she's being extra flirty with him.

As mentioned in other reviews, by the end, not a single character had really worked out their issues other than, say, the 2 moms (her mom writing the letter to her and his mom feeling safe enough to love him as much she wants even if it's the most)

The Best Character In The Show Is The Little Sister! She didn't quite look like a 19/20 year high school student but her boy crazy antics were so relatable and funny.

The side romances were sold very short. Either give us some substance or leave them out. That last second kiss was so overdue I actually just rolled my eyes. What a waste of Jae Wook.

Lastly, I hope we've seen the last of the final scene being the 2 leads staring each other from 20 feet away from each other. If they end up together, roll the credit during a final kiss scene. If they don't end up together, just show a split screen of whereever they end up! I'll bet the novel version of this was better.

Park Min Feb 27 2024 9:05 am I liked the stories involving the female lead, her mother and her aunt, they kept you anticipating for more. However, the other side plots were really not that interesting to follow and ended up being just a white noise. From reading the synopsis and watching its earlier parts, we got to know what the female was going through and why she moved away from the city. Clearly, she had issues she needed to work on, however, despite her issues with trusting people and being hurt by others, her romance went against her character. She had a very easy and quick romance with minimum communication for a drama that meant to be driven by dialogue. She started a relationship in a short period of time before scratching the surface of her issues. It would've been much better to replace the romance with the people of her town, it would have had created a much better environment to work on her issues. In fact, the resolution and progress on her issues ended up being half-hearted, not much was accomplished by the end. On another note, I didn't like that the characters past stories were based in high-school, there was a gap that couldn't be translated to their adulthood life. If they were to switch the past events and have it be based in university for example, I think that would create a better connection, relatability and meaning to their adulthood issues.

Park Min Young is amazing in this, love her. Not seen Seo Kang Joon before, but he has a good presence and I like him. He is not a tall skinny beanpole.

Paul Hopkin Jul 09 2023 2:24 pm i don't understand at all why people keep referring to this story as healing. Literally none of the characters face the reality of the various traumas they experience in ways that are healing. By the end of the series, Hae Won wants to avoid the personal shame of the "murder" scandal returning to her life, thus exposing her lack of comprehension of what actually happened to her mother and aunt. She is more concerned with her own projected expectations of condemnation from neighbors than she is in the very real life threatening attacks and abuse experienced by her aunt and mother. She wants her aunt out of her life because her presence reminds her of the trauma. Her aunt internalizes guilt so completely that she remains unworthy of treatment for debilitating glaucoma because she has to pay for her sin. She became suicidal because of the impossibility of living with her guilt unanswered, but decides to continue that debilitating life because Hae Won says it would hurt if she turned herself in. Her mother never recovers enough that she can see her presence in her daughter's life as supportive, dynamic, and mutually beneficial. She clearly blames herself for the entire trauma because she had the misfortune of having an abusive husband. Hae Won and Eun Seob dive into the relationship though they can't actually address the trauma they both carry. Hae Won never mourns the loss she undoubtedly experiences when she has to undo her fondness for her father as she learns he was such an extreme abuser. Eun Seob stays after his uncle tries to force his hand to the blood obligation, but there is nothing that indicates he becomes healed from any of his past. His father is deeply unstable because he doesn't trust that the relationship he has with his adoptive son is stable or even healthy. Eun Seob's mother seems to view her nurturing relationship with the desperate and abandoned Eun Seob as virtuous, but seems to find care for her husband and daughter tiresome. The fact that the love story is the focus of the ending doesn't make the story a happy ending. All the characters are still carrying the aftermath of deep trauma, and all still remain in the lala land of internalized guilt for things outside of their control.

Even the sub plots mirror really unhealthy ideas. Bo Yeong continues to minimize her actions and begs forgiveness without ever actually doing anything to care for Hae Won, nor address the aftermath of her actions. She only insists it was one mistake and that because she keeps engaged and begging for forgiveness she is somehow owed that reprieve. At least she is honest when she confesses that she grew to hate Hae Won for all of it, but she truly never addresses just how deep her betrayal was, and that it truly was all her very own. The real conversation was a step in the right direction, but I would listen to Bo Yeong as she reveals herself to be conniving and vindictive rather than respond like the air had been cleared.

All that said, I enjoyed the pacing of the storytelling, and was pleased with much of the acting. I am scared for viewers who somehow think that this story models what healing looks like, and find the ending heartwarming or upbeat.

Seo Kang Yoon, in love with him, i like him a lot, a great actor. They were sweet together, great chemistry and great acting in their lead role. At times to me a little too slow the drama but i loved it anyways. Highly recommend to watch this drama.

Park Min-young and Seo Kang-joon are so cute here where they brieftly grew up togther and Seo Kang-joon's character had a crush for Park Min-young in the past. The story can be quite beautiful if you don't mind the pacing.

Park Min Young's dramas are always so good. And Seo Kang Joon is a cutie here. Lee Jae Wook is like a breathe of fresh air in this drama. Love all the characters.

It’s a good winter-under-the-cover kind of drama. It’s warm and nice. But again insanely slow. Wait the 14th episode to really catch my attention, I really don’t know how I went that far.

I was mesmarize also with the setting of this drama, now I am dreaming of living or to take a short break in countryside (hoping to find my Eun Seop also).

Honestly I watched this drama because of Lee Jae Wook- and I love how goofy he is here, but damn I fell really hard with Seo Kang Joon. Every time Eun Seop was getting hurt, I wanted to fly to Korea to hug him! I feel like I cried with every scene that hes holding back what in his mind, and that frustrate me even more! He doesnt speak much but his eyes was dang so good in giving emotions (and I always love his eyes and lips). But one thing that I just wanted to point out is the chosen work of Hae Won, I think there would be better option rather than being celloist- just for me to have closure with the ending.

The more you turn on the pages, the more you will love all the characters. One of the best slice of life dramas. This drama deserves a lot of recognition but sadly it is criminally underrated. Park Min Young never disappoints. Her dramas are always so good. People who think she hasn’t done any serious characters after some romcoms should definitely watch it. A slow-burn healing drama who will stay in our mind for a long time. 1000/10 for me. Loved it so much and again rewatching it for the 5th time.

Jilli Feb 27 2023 11:55 am So so so beautiful, the way Kdramas used to be twenty years ago, like Winter Sonata, Summer Scent, Autumn In My Heart, and Spring Waltz. If this was on a free channel in Korea like SBS, instead of a pay cable channel like JTBC, the ratings would have been in the 20% range. I am going to look into what other dramas this writer has penned, see if I can find another gem masterpiece like this one.

It is indeed a hidden gem and I wish I could watch this again for the first time! This is so heartwarming, cozy, and slow burn drama which I really like! I didn’t watch this for some reason when it aired in 2020 but I’m glad I didn’t hesitate to watch it this time! Really worth it and boyyy, Kang Joon and Min Young’s chemistry was top tier!

Park Min Young never ceases to amaze. Just when you think that her chemistry with her last co-star was the best, it just keeps getting better with every new male leads. She and Seo Kang Joon did and amazing job here. Although the ratings did not do any justice to this drama, this is the kind of drama that has a deep impact. It stays in your heart for a long time. 10/10 for me, everything was so perfect.

It might seem a bit slow but it is just showing the ordinary, mundane daily life of people. Sometimes people can get so lost while trying to do the basic every day things and they try to shut themselves up against the world. This drama is so relatable in portraying such emotions. Park Min Young's dramas are never a disappointment. She knows how to live her characters and Seo Kang Joon was equally mesmerizing. All the characters were excellent. Their bonding was everything. Such a heartwarming story. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is definitely a must watch drama. Made me cry a lot. 100000/10 for me. Highly recommended. I have watched it 3 times already and will again rewatch later on.

The tv series has been shot in a fine environment with a nice weather. The cold and warm environment of the drama locations is loving. The acting is superb here. Not only park min young and seo kang joon but other cast members act very naturally. Specially the actress who act as the aunt of Mok hae won is really doing sn amazing acting here. She acts very realistically. Anyway if you want a drama to break your boredom just watch this drama . We all have been stucked for months in this covid pandemic so I think this drama is a good way to break our loneliness. I think you all will love watching the nice captions of nice places with nice places in this drama. I really recommend this for all kdrama lovers who love watching romantic drama and melodrama with a nice plot!!! Saranghae yorabun!!!

vianey Oct 01 2021 10:42 pm I really loved this drama~ but I understand why the ratings for so low. A lot of people prefer more drama or action. If that makes any sense. However, this was very written and well paced even though Hyewons mom and aunt has such a dark past.

Highly recommend for those that want something light (except for what I mentioned) and not too dramatic and fast paced.

However, when the movie is coming to an end, I just don’t want it to keep going on. The scene is so beautiful that makes me want to find another winter movie to watch. The plot is great, also a plot twist for everyone to expect. All other side characters have their own lovely sides.

It’s sad that this movie did not go viral but the two side characters have became popular with their other movies. Wish Jangwoo and Eunsil have more scene, they look cute together. The chemistry between Park Minyoung and Kang Seojun is great, they make me want to find some boyfriend haha.

Park Min-Young always creates some kind of magic with her co-stars in every dramas. Loved the chemistry of the main leads. The bonding between Hae-Won's mom and aunt is also so amazing. All the characters have been beautifully represented. Love it so much.

This drama isn't your typical lovely dovey romcom with full of cliche moments.. plus the village or rural setting outsold.. wish for kdramas to make village setting dramas

The plot twist of the sisterhood is mesmerizing.. I'm hooked and this drama will remain in my memory for such long, long time. Would watch again, definitely.

Try this and dont pass, guys. The first 30mins of episode 1 will be very slow-paced, but watch it patiently, and everything that comes after will be WORTH waiting for!

A HEALING, balanced drama with just nice amount of romance, conflict and humour!!

If you’re looking for a heartwarming, slow-pacing yet satisfying with simple storyline, this is for you. If you loved reading, writing, drinking coffee, countryside or anything aesthetically pleasing then this is for you. I decided to watch it because of the bookstore, coffee, tired of city life background, but ended up enjoying it because of the characters and story!

The characters were all portrayed with good chemistry. It is not cheesy at all. Really like Lee Jaewook acting here, friendly and comfortable. Park Minyoung and Kang Seojun both look genuine. The elderly characters are not annoying, same goes to the youngsters.

Cinematography wise, it is very natural and not exaggerated, just look like how I wish to visit Korea’s countryside one day.

The soundtrack are good, but I especially like the background music by the composer Hanclef.

I felt in love with skj's character, he was a husband material here. I used to watch park min young with her comedyo or feisty character. But here she was cold hearted, shy, awkward and aloof. She is really a versatile actress. Am I the only one who had noticed she obviously looking old here ? Or maybe because of the kind of her outfits she worn here or maybe because seo kang joo obviously looked younger than her.

Nvm, I love this drama. I give it 9/10

From the sceneries, characters, actors, storyline, and most importantly, the whether. The title really suits the drama. I really have to praise Seo Kang Joon for perfectly portraying his character as Eun Seob - an introverted, book-loving, caring, warm, non-greedy man (who’s also extremely hot *ehem*) who is not only careful in his predicaments but also mindful of others (sometimes, too mindful). I’ve watched tons of dramas in 2020 but this drama is my most favourite drama in 2020, without a doubt.

Nevertheless, the sceneries, characters, story development and cinematography are just superb. This series is like a book that is being visualised. It is poetical and sublime.

I personally like the 'quiet moments' in this series in which many characters just let their gazes and facial expressions to do the 'talking'. Not many series or movies nailed such 'quiet moments' because it could be rather suffocating to watch and feel the heaviness of such scenes but this one did them successfully. I would say that the heaviness are very much needed in order to complement the depths and colours of the characters.

I can't believe I would love such a series before and here I am, writing this comment as soon as I finished watching the series.

The establishing plot of each characters are being shown one by one thru flashback scenes that will make u see why the character became like that . It is so relaxing to watch as the plot progresses per episode . The chemistry between Seo kang Joon and Park miyoung is good !! To think that Miyoung isnl oldere than Kangjoon .I love it now I am on ep. 10 as Hae won was able to feel the love she deserves from the guy . Great story and many more coffees to linger here hahaha ! If u want to relinquish " old flame from the past " this one I recommend !!

This drama made me giggle like i'm a teenager again and get butterflies in my stomach.

of course Aug 19 2020 6:22 pm SPOILERS... i had some time on my hands so i decided to watch this (also because of SKJ). it was pretty slow paced and i couldnt really identify a main plot. however, i loved the characters and the scenery and its everything a melodrama is. im not the biggest fan of melodramas and often found myself bored but its a great drama! i didnt like how they broke up at the end and got back together becuase it just destroys the whole past but it left me with the ending i wanted. so would i reccomend? definitely.

just finished this drama and it's literally amazing. I hesitate towatch it at first because of the low rating + some negative comments bbe it has low ratings cuz it's melodrama and this type is not everyone's cup of tea actually, I mean even it had a low rating still the ratings increased continuously from ep.1 to ep.16 maybe it's a very very slow paced drama but I didn't get bored even a single moment.

but what really annoys me and makes me confused is why he called her irene! okay the name is not that big problem it's just a name so people don't know who is the real irene but why "goodnight irene" I didn't get and other thing why his biological mother abandoned him !!! and only tried to find him when she got really sick ! mean while her house where eun seop visited her it seems like she had a good life !!

+ definitely waiting to rewatch it in winter to feel that warm feelings of this adorable drama

L Jun 23 2020 1:56 pm This drama is one of the best and most memorable ones I've watched. It's not what other normal dramas are, energetic or fast. For me, I love slice of life and Melo dramas. This drama conveys feelings and emotions in a so subtle and beautiful way. It takes time to explore each character and has innocent and simple humour. The plot itself isn't splendid or complex but focus on real life, although it does have much originality when it comes to a drama. In short, it touches your heart. I believe it really lives up to the name it's given. When the weather is fine, or I'd rephrase, when the time is right. All the actors and actresses were in point in performing their role. If I'm honest, this is my favourite drama both the lead actor and actress have ever done. I wanted to watch a drama like this for so long, and wasn't able to find one. I am thankful I found it. I think you'll like it if you loved dramas like 'Something in the rain', 'One spring night' or 'When the Camelia blooms'. I hope the writer and director produce more dramas like this. ❤️

L Jun 10 2020 10:45 pm Lim Eun seop is a very frustrating character because he can never get out his real feelings, always being very guarded and never wanting to seem weak by telling others his love; he only expresses it through his actions. On the surface level this show is extremely boring.The only reason I'm still watching this show is because I kind of have the same problem as Eun seop (I don't express my feelings well, always joking around when others get serious to avoid it, and I can't even tell you the last time I told my parents I love them) and I can deeply relate with a lot of his struggles and frustrations. If you are the kind of person that is easy to talk about their inner emotions this show might not really be for you because Eun seop just seems like an annoying character, but if you're like me then it could be a really enjoyable watch.

Lenny May 14 2020 9:28 pm I had some downtime and wanted to check this drama out. As a PMY fan she did amazing here but I really couldn't get myself to like the drama. Don't get me wrong I finished it but it is so slow and at times really boring. The scenery was nice don't get me wrong but they sometimes showed scenes of random farmers or common people talking about something random that had nothing to do with the plot. Speaking of plot, there really wasn't one. The first few episodes/half of the series were just like ok, here's a girl in her vacation in the countryside and that's it. Then like others noted here that it does pick up but more so towards the end but even then when it finishes it doesn't wrap up properly at all. So if I were you.. skip the drama. Actually now I'm kind of upset I wasted time watching this lol

Then I binge watch episode 3-16 LOL because even though I find this drama boring, there is something charming and realistic with the characters.

I don't think this is a healing melodrama. But I really love the vibe of seeing the life in the countryside. Tbh, in the end I still can't explain why I like this drama.

Actually the stars of this drama for me is Hwi and Jangwoo LOL. They are so funny. Sometimes I love watching them more than Eunseop and Haewon LOL. Still love Seo Kangjoon and Park Minyoung though, very different from their usual romcom characters. I still hope they'll get partnered again with something more lively LOL

The last scene when Hae Won stood under the sun and smiled at Eun Sop was a perfect conclusion for the title itself. I never thought I could enjoy such a slow paced drama like this, but I did. This time I especially praise the 2nd lead couple. The last simple kiss by Lee Jang Woo wasery cute and on point. This show also showed PMY's stronger acting skill. It's just nice that she's able to go out from her typical character from the previous dramas. Jacks Apr 16 2020 8:43 pm So far I really like this drama. It is slow paced but I think that is what makes it unique and lovable. The acting is phenomenal as well. If you are looking for a quaint story that can be both funny and sad, this is it. It's beautifully realistic. My one critique is how they are framing the situation around the murder of Hye Won's father.

Warning, SPOILERS and possibly trigger heavy subject next. They are framing it as if the mother and aunt have something to be guilty about, but the fact of the matter is that they shouldn't. The mother shouldn't of had to go to prison, and the aunt should not have had to possibly go either. They accidentally killed the husband while running away from him because he was beating his wife half to death. He came at them with a golf club in their car for gods sake. The only way out was where he was standing if front of them bashing in the windshield. It is obvious that it was self defense in an extreme domestic abuse situation. Yet so far they are framing it as if the women should still have to be and feel accountable. I really hope they address this in the episodes left because it almost feels like they are blaming the women for trying to get out of a life threatening situation. I love this show but I don't like the framing around domestic violence at all. Why did the mother even go to prison when the police probably clearly saw her beaten badly and scared with her husband obviously being the aggressor.

As I watch the story to unfold, I also find myself getting hooked with the place, their book club sessions, the music and the simplicity of life in the countryside. The friendship and sense of community portrayed in drama bring a sense of nostalgia of the bygone days.

This drama is a rarity as it deviates from the typical Korean hysterical and over-the-top portrayals. This one is quiet and insightful and exciting in a more restraint manner.

Jang Wo & Eunsil lovable flirting couple 2 eps left it seems will be sad story but I loved, I'm tired of mainstream drama always happy ending. At least open ending will be great too.

It shows life is supposed to be like that, no rush, yet we still live our life to the fullest. Surrounded by people we love, doing things that we love sincerely. Even there's some conflict happened, we can deal with it because we have a solid support system around. This is the best drama you have to watch to bring some sence of peace when the world now seems fall apart because of the Covid-19. Please give us the happiest ending to complete it! Thank you!

But, I decided to stick to it and boy, how glad I am to do so, as this drama doesn't disappoint me at all. I maybe biased because I am a fan of SKJ, but I find that this is the best of SKJ so far. He portrays Eun Sob's character so well, as someone who is a loner, a socially awkward person but very warm to people around him. A man with few words but wise. Oh I just love him! His chemistry with PMY is so warm and sweet. I will miss them when this drama comes to an end.

Angel Apr 15 2020 10:27 am After watching k-dramas for years and years, I have gotten tired of the cliff-hangers every episode and out of this world dramatic/unrealistic plot-lines. This drama is like taking a breath of fresh air. It is so cute, relaxing, and eases my anxiety. After each episode, I don't feel like my heart is about to burst due to having to wait for next week's episode. There are cliff-hangers, but it's so subtle that I am ok with waiting till next episode?? if that makes sense lol. I happily look forward to Mondays and Tuesdays because of this!! Also, everything is pretty straight-forward. No beating around the bush for the main leads to get together.

This won’t suitable for you. This drama focus on the literature side-looking at the dialogue, it’s so beautiful. I love how they portrayed the life in villages. I just love everything here. Sometimes I’m too tired with big-conflict drama. I just need something that this light, but deep. I also like Hwi character, so cheerful and funny. And now I become big fan of Seo Kang-joon

He’s an innocent, pure and a warm person while Joon Young is a bit of a perfectionist, also tidy and organized, we can say JY is also a warm person but it’s not on the same level as Eun Seob. Love his portrayal on both shows tho, SKJ’s really into detailed acting <3 and I have to say, this is also PMY’s best performance in a drama yet, followed by Healer. Love their chemistry, both doing a splendid job ❤️❤️❤️

Eventually, I binge-watched the first 10 episodes in one sitting and now I can’t wait for the other 6. I found the first episode boring at first, but I got curious about the background of the characters and how the two would develop their relationship so it made me keep on watching. The slow pacing of the drama actually fits everything from the plot, setting, and characters. It would make you feel all sorts of emotions and would keep you warm during the quarantine period. I now have this in my top 10 and if you’re looking for a sign to watch this, this is it. You won’t regret it!

I love it so much. It might come off as slow or uneventful or boring to some, it depends on your own taste. However, I love how slow-paced this drama is, it's utterly perfect. The love between them is so tender and sweet, it touches my heart just by watching it. I love how it's a little bit mysterious, sad and depressing at times but really warm, poetic and comforting at the same time. It fit my current mood so well and I became so immersed in it. I love the main leads a lot, they fit each other perfectly. It makes me want to experience such delicate love story too.

This drama so sweet, heartwarming, and have beautiful story. I love the acting of the cast from elders to the child actor.. The family, friends, dongseng, neighbors and the village it self, I'm falling in love with every thing here ❤️Currently I hook till episode 9 and will continue watch when the drama end. I just can't help waiting new episodes every week. It has been a while I found a beautiful drama like this. Hopefully it got beautiful ending.

Seo Kang joon & Park Min young chemistry, realism in their acting and partnership are amazing, and all the supporting cast is perfectly fitting each character interaction and profile. Everything feels so real: the slow movie filming allows the audience to really get into the characters feelings, emotions, hesitations, memories that compose themselves like a puzzle little by little. It's like being with them in real time, looking them from the other side of the window/streets, like neighboors caring for them and how they move on in life, living the real space and time of each encounters. What may appear slow at first feels just too perfect, right and the only way for it to be considering each one character.

I really love this drama from a professional point of view, even more than the recent Crash landing on you that was more spectacular however less sincere, somehow, too much theatrical despite the great performaces of Hyun Bin, Seo Dan, Gu Seung-joon and the 4 members of Ri Jung Hyuk team. Instead, I didn't really get fully into Seo Ye-jin acting; there were some very good scenes. She tried too much to be "funny" or way too much dramatic. Good drama but "I'll come to you when the weather is fine" is on another level as a whole.

It feels like "home". At least this is a personal opinion of course. OST is deep too. Well chosen.

I hope the cast will be able to read our comments! Great job to all! Waiting for the next episode (rare for me to be this enthousiastic while I loved all the other Park Minyoung and partners, especially Park Seo Joon (another great actor moving forward and growing drama after drama, movie after movie > expecting so much from him, and Seo Kang joon of course in the near future)

I usually prefer action, mystery, and comedy drama but when I was looking for a new drama to watch and randomly clicked this drama, I really didn't had any expectation for this, but it turns out great. You are engrossed by the multilayered protagonists who are haunted by their traumatic childhoods. Events unfold to bring them together and tear them apart. A stella main and support cast. Five stars but you have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy- such a world away from the formulatic Kdramas. Thoughtful director and subtle nuances and inter play of human relationships. A breath of fresh air. Each shot is aesthetically pleasing and beautifully framed.

If you can get past the first episode and understand the meaning of every scene, the pace is just nice. The pace really helps to build up the emotions in the drama, which makes the drama even more interesting. Each episode is just feels so comforting, especially since I can relate to both Hye Won and Eun Seob. So far would totally recommend it!

It made me cry in most of the episode, it is too heavy especially that it have less of conversation. It like the plot, I just want to wait how these characters unfolds. The best about korean dramas is that, you would not want to blink in each of the scenes because you feel every line the character says and the cinematography is always perfect.

It's like a pandora box, you want them to move quickly towards something concrete and at the same time everything is like a glass menagerie where one has to move very carefully. First of all, the actors they’ve cast are the "crème de la crème", the very best. Although I’ve seen just 4 eps., I’ve already engraved in my head several memorable performances, like Moon Jeong-Hee in the role of the aunt, or Kim Hwan-Hee in the role of the little sister, without forgetting, of course, the main couple. The snow white sceneries are gorgeous and worthy of a fairy tale. Now, the only problem I have with this drama is the non-linear story. The slowness, that some people have criticized in the comments below, is just a consequence of it. Constantly, the fairy tale is being interrupted by flashbacks and side stories: this is what I mean by "non-linear". It’s like the creators are taking bizarre pleasure in digressing from whatever they are telling us, and never reaching the end. Even the flashbacks and side stories themselves are being interrupted "ex abrupto", like puzzle pieces that we are supposed to figure out, and put into place on our own...

heids Mar 10 2020 9:38 am as soon as i started this drama i knew i was going to fall in love with every character, they all have their own cute little personality and the main leads are perfect. i'm so happy lee jaewook has a cute character <333 i love slow paced dramas because they can really get you in your feels and goes in depth with how they express their emotions.

The premise seem simple but there's a lot more to it. The lines are well written and the OSTs used aptly. I'm also loving the "private logs" they show at the end. And dear, the chemistry. It's not those explosive type that you usually see on rom-coms but it's strongly there. Looking forward to watching the next episode!

Luna Feb 27 2020 11:56 pm Above everything else that is great in this healing-romance drama I am very curious about Sim Myungyeo character (Hyewon's aunt). On the very appearance she wore sunglasses! Even when Hyewon arrived at Hodu House she had to search the house for her so-called aunt which in other words making me go curious at who is her aunt and it turned out to be Moon Jeonghee which I like since Vagabond (she played the evil, cunning, english speaking Jessica). And then through out the story it showed that she wasn't very fond of Hyewon and the idea of Hyewon living in Hodu House. Her reason wasn't clearly explained too intentionally I bet. And then it turned out Myungyeo was experiencing headaches too every now and then as told by the pharmacist. That made me wonder if she's actually sick and hiding it from people. And then again we were exposed with the fact that she was once a best-selling novelist but now she's staying low inside Hodu House with sunglasses on and her pet dog. What exactly is her story? I am very curious of Sim Myungyeo above all other good things happening in the story so far.

Every scene has a sweet moment and the story is easy to fit in cause this is a slice of life drama. Hopefully this drama will be a hit. Hae Won looks like she has many wounds so watching her feels more melancholic. Eun Seob is sooooooooooooo relatable for an introvert like me so i just have fun watching him.
