Geu-Ru (Tang Joon-Sang) is a young man with Asperger syndrome. He works for his father’s business “Move To Heaven.” Their job is to arrange items left by deceased people. One day, Geu-Ru's own father dies. Gue-Ru is left alone, but his uncle Sang-Gu (Lee Je-Hoon) suddenly appears in front of him. Sang-Gu is a cold man. He was a martial artist who fought in underground matches. He went to prison because of what happened at his fight. Sang-Gu now becomes Geu-Ru’s guardian. They run “Move To Heaven” together.

Story is motivated by nonfiction essay “Ddeonan Hooe Namgyeojin Geotdeul” by Kim Shae-Byeol (published July 20, 2015 by Chungrim). Kim Shae-Byeol is the first person in Korea who worked to arrange articles left by the deceased.

LJH is one of my fav actors since ‘Signal’ & currently enjoying ‘Taxi Driver 2’. LJH and TJS deserved awards for their performances in this drama. A 10/10 must watch!

It's was full of heart and brilliant story telling. Most memorable Mathew Green story was just heartbreaking not that the others weren't. It did not sunk in full drama where it was unbearable to watch. In example, if they would drag the uncle bad character or drag the adoption story it would of been really frustrating. However, they decided to make it simple, with sufficient drama, and they learned from The Move to Heaven cases. The uncle did had his "romantic" moments when he fell in crush with the social worker but it was good that it didn't develop into something super big. Also, having a neighbor like Namu was amazing. A person that cared as a sister and was just concerned for the well being of Geuru. The cast, the writing the whole story was excellent and I just want to commend everyone who worked on it. ???

From the actors, the way of directing and the storyline, it's the best. It was really heartwarming and beautiful. The way they portrayed loss and grief every scene and unfolds different stories of the bereaved made me cry my heart out. I didn't expect that this drama would be this emotionally heavy that every episode, you'll end up crying because it really touches your heart. You'll cry for the first minute until the very last. Move to Heaven centers around "death". It shouldn't be this comforting but for some reason, it is. They dealt with it in such an interesting way and you'll see every episode what makes "death" so significant and deep was how people that's left behind face the loss of someone they loved. Also, I really love and enjoyed the dynamics of the main characters. I'll probably rewatch this every year. Wishing for S2, I will never stop talking about how good this drama is. Kudos to everyone that's part of the production team and the actors! Big respect to them. <3

I cried on every episode, especially the last one, but no regrets. I might going to rewatch it everytime I'm in the mood for tear-jerkers.

As a mom with a son diagnosed too with Asperger's Syndrome , I can't help but totally admire Geu-ru and tear up every time there is a scene which is relatable in real life. This drama touches the core being of humans which is our capability to love. And I would like to see a world someday that does not discriminate against these people, they are special and being special comes also with special abilities. And they got the purest hearts of all. Love this drama so much..hope it has a season 2!

Definitely Not your run of the mill same old same old full of tropes" k drama and much the better for it. . The story develops and unfolds at the right pace and you cannot help but become invested in the main characters and at the same time ponder on life and compassion Ior others. 'm only on episode 6 but had to leave a review. I thoroughly recommend watching and am really keeping my fingers crossed for a season 2. Well done to the actors, writers and directors. Move to Heaven is an ode to the power of compassion and human connection. This drama conveys its messages without being preachy or self-important, which is precisely why it succeeds in making you feel deeply for its characters and their struggles. Watching Move to Heaven during lockdown hits different; more emotional, but also more uplifting and hopeful.

Lenny Aug 14 2021 9:23 pm This was a very different drama than what I'm used to - it's not your regular Korean drama with the same old standard format. Like how someone else here mentioned in the comments it's a unique drama. It's beautiful, different, melancholic, and tragic at the same time. It really makes you question and appreciate life and those around you like some life lessons even though it is not intended. That's what I got from it at least since it's based on a true stories.

Anyways it was such a short drama - every episode is literally 45 minutes to 50/58 minutes tops and I finished it in a day and a half. Definitely give this drama a chance if you have some downtime or want to check out a breathe of fresh air/something new

Episode 7 was my favorite. I get to watch 2 of my favorite actor.

Then came episodes that makes me happy knowing that the uncle of geu-ru is now ready to be more close to geu-ru.

Then episode 10 suddenly came... I was not ready though... Tears flowing my chicks like rain. Emotions like sadness, excited then happy.

I wish that this will not end from here.

I like the way they build the plot of the story, the way they touch the audience's heart with the smallest things. Each episode is a different meaningful story. Each death has different meanings for each person. But we can understand that those stories and people who have died will always be a part of us, to make us stronger, to make us more mature.... Amidst the dramatic dramas of Korea today, I found Move to heaven. This will really be a meaningful movie to heal your soul. Unfortunate things in life will always happen around us, so every day we should always cherish because we are alive and live beautifully and meaningfully next to the people we love the most. I look forward to watching the next seasons of Move to heaven, seeing how this drama will convey good messages and touch the hearts of our audience with the simplest things.

Instead, it feels light-hearted and healing. Well-picked actors!! I love their chemistry tgt, especially Namu and Sanggu. Definitely recommended for those who want a break from the usual kdramas!!

The acting is on point, the plot is just insanely beautiful and consistent and all the characters have a place in your heart by the end. It was so beautifully written and directed and The asperger syndrome was portrayed in a very honest and beautiful way. 10 out of 10 I’ll recommend this one to everyone from now on!

I like how Geu-ru's dad Han Jeong-U pop up then and again in most of the episodes as I start to watch this series because of the actor acting as Geu-ru's dad. Most amazing series and very touching how the scope of Trauma Cleaners plays such an important part in the after-life of the person or people. When I was watching the last episode when Geu-ru enters his dad room and start the process...i was thinking how great if this is real life as in we do just that for those we love. Please "Move to Heaven" Writer, PD Nim...do start a Season 2 with the same Main Cast, Associates, and of course Na-mu Parents.

I never watch a drama straight through end, you can’t stop with this drama. Great actors and chemistry, it just perfect. I don’t say that to often. So get ready to cry and laugh. It’s so worth it, you won’t regret it. I wish there were more episodes but I know if my heart can take it, lol.

Just watch the first episode and I grant you'll watch the remaining 9 the very same day!!! It's sad yet comforting, every story has a meaningful lesson and is connected to our main leads growth!!! The actors were perfect!!! (BTW doesn't the guy who plays sang-gu look exactly like park-jin-young from got7. In the beginning I thought it was him I had to triple check = it's not him)

happy dahyun day May 28 2021 8:00 am yall please watch this masterpiece! move to heaven really just climbed to the top of my kdrama list. it’s rare to find gems like this nowadays, i highly highly recommend this one plus we need season 2. kudos to the actors as well, they did so good and had me emotional every episode.

I cried in every episode but kept bursting out laughing too. Everyone executed their roles perfectly and I was never disappointed. I feel like the ending was left open so hopefully there is a second season.

Just for the sake of showing the faces of the actors, the director of this drama dared to take the essential wear of cleaning workers. Very bad example.

It seems like Lee Min-Ho always plays a person with Asperger syndrome especially when they scold him and look down as time goes by.

VB May 25 2021 6:01 am I just binge watched this magnificent drama. I was hooked from the get-go! What a moving, funny, sad and well written story. Han Geu-ru, Sang-gu the uncle and Nam-mu from next door were terrific. Geu-ru's quirky behaviour was so adorable. Losing both loving parents was tragic. It is nice to know people cared about him. The whole cast gave a great performance. It is definitely worth watching again.

I started the series due to the great rating and reviews and I’m glad to have actually watched it.. i love the character played by Ji Jin hee ( Han jeong hu) .. he looks so handsome and His role was too good .. I just wished to see him in more episodes. However all characters are also equally good- Gaeru , Namu ... Looking forward to Season 2

Best Kdrama of 2021 May 24 2021 7:37 pm So I decided to randomly watch this korea drama on Netflix last night, jeez and here's what happened. I got hooked by just watching the first episode till I continued on each episodes after.. I cried hard on each episode, I remember I was not expecting anything and somewhat hesitant to give it a go. But I'm glad I did, it was so refreshing, sad and very good drama with greathdhdh characters and stories. I remembered, I hardly cried on first episode, 3rd episode, but for sure each episode will actually make cry. It was a very touching drama that will leave a mark on you. How I wish this has a second season. It was really beautiful, touching korean drama that is highly recommended for everyone to watch. If you'll have a chance to watch it. Go give it a try, you'll definitely be hooked to it. Hoping for awards to this drama!!

It is a show filled with heartfelt stories of people from different walks of life who happened to be dead yet they still need to reach their final destination and tell their untold stories. Move to heaven will make you ugly cry and it will make you appreciate how precious life is and show you that death isn’t the end of everything.

Also kudos to this drama and to Tang Joon Sang for doing a wonderful job portraying Han Geu-Ru!

I absolutely didn't know what to expect when I decided to watch it on Netflix and I worried a little that it might be boring and uninteresting but I'm glad I was proven wrong. The characters were so genuine that you can't help but love them. It also contains a very meaningful message, it makes you appreciate the ones around you. The story is kept simple and I really liked it, I could relax when watching it but it also brought me to tears a few times. Especially the last episode. I definitely recommend this drama.

I am from America so I don’t think we have Trauma Cleaners. But I loved the concept and focus of the trauma cleaners. The acting was spot on and I loved the uncle’s character development. I literally stood up and clapped when he was awarded guardianship of his nephew. This is truly worth watching. But get ready this one is a tear jerker. Have a box of Kleenex near by. This is definitely a 10 drama for me. Way to go Netflix with the Korean dramas and movies.

for the love of Lee Jehoon and Tang Joonsang May 19 2021 6:34 am Admittedly, I scrambled my way to listing this in my soonest to watch series (I have about eight lined up) due to pictures of Lee Jehoon widely shared on twitter (my man got meaty) but then the clips on tiktok really did it for me [SPOILER WARNING] nike shoes wtf. My love for Lee Jehoon goes back to “Just Friends?”, I’ll randomly think about him some days and last month I got back to binge watching and saw Signal and I was so glad he got booked and busy, I know he’ll make it big and he did. Then I saw James Tang is playing a son with Asperger syndrome, I wonder where I saw him first but from the trailer he acts wonderfully, I saw his dramas and of course it was CLOY (I have not seen it but the the NK squad is so well known), thank that drama for giving the cast recognition. Plot is episodic, tells the story of their clients and all are tearjerkers (from the spoilers I have seen), so if you want to a good cry I bet you’ll love this. This Is Another Sign For You To Watch Move To Heaven.

Shi May 18 2021 8:30 am Please, please, please give Move To Heaven a chance. It is most definitely my top favorite K-drama of 2021. The cast simply did a fantastic job playing their respective roles and told the overall plot/story so beautifully. Loved how every episode had a different tale of the deceased talked about. I cried a ton so have tissues near and handy. Tang Joon Sang is not on the spectrum and is much younger in real life but embodied Geu Ru so well. As someone who is autistic, he played the role of someone who truly had this disability very realistically. Also, just because someone has a disability does not mean they can't do things. Anyone is capable of anything they want to do when one simply has the goal and motivation to. After this drama, he is going to get bigger roles because of taking the chance with this one. I'm looking forward to his next role. Lee Jee Hoon is so very Talented and I highly recommend you watch his recently aired drama Taxi Driver because that’s where I first discovered him and was swooned by his acting! Anyways, please watch this drama because you will not regret it!!

I was scared since aside from Lee Je Hoon, the other main actors were young and new, but they did an exceptional job portraying their different characters. The entire series was well-paced and didn't feel rushed.

I really hope more people give this drama a chance. This was the first drama that pulled me out of my drama slump in a while. I really hope a season 2 will be confirmed. *fingers crossed*

Everytime, Geuru's dad makes an appearance, the tears just flowed. T_T hahaha. Geuru's dad is like buddha .... his love for everyone & everything .... just tugs at the heartstrings in every scene.The stories were very heartbreaking and touching. I also loved Han Geuru's dedication to his job and his love for his family.

Exceptionally produced, written and cast. Utterly improbable in so many ways, it represents an ideal of how souls are helped from one world to next.

It's something on an extension of 'Departures' but with an intriguing whodunnit element.

My only regret is it will be over too soon.

Each of the side stories was heart-wrenching and yet it always gives you a meaningful and warm closure. Definitely, a must-watch!!!!!! I've finished the whole series and let me tell you that you will need lots of tissues, especially for the last episode!

All the cast even the cameo is the best actors and actresses. The acting the story line the timing was sooo perfect and it is super well written.

We often look at the perspectives of those grieving but never really looking at the life/story of those who passed. Totally new outlook of dramas I've seen. Can't wait to finish it!

I appreciate Tang Joon Sang acting as Han Geuru, he potrayed someone with no expression but warm in a very good way and Lee Jehoon perfectly blend with his character and potrayed Sanggo inner demon very well. I hope Netflix Korea will renew this series. I can’t get enough the trio Geuru-Namoo-Samchon ❤️

It really gives you an idea we are different but also similar and what really has a meaning at the end of the day. 100% recommended. You definitely won't regret it!

If anyone of you have played a game called To The Moon, this drama somehow felt similar as both tried to bring closure related to death.
