Goo Ra-Ra (Go Ara) is a pianist. She has bright personality. Something happened that caused her to become bankrupt. She doesn't have anything now and she is frustrated with her situation.

Sunwoo Joon (Lee Jae-Wook) doesn't care what other people think about him, but he has a warm heart. He is free spirited and doesn't have a specific dream or goal for his life. He makes ends meet by working part-time jobs.

Goo Ra-Ra and Sunwoo Joon meet at the small private piano academy LaLa Land in a country village.

a Aug 07 2023 3:17 pm I wasn't able to finish it when it came out...

Now I have and it was a total trope mash up. That last scene was just the cherry on top of a large layered cake of cliches. It could be a game named "How many tropes can you spot in one drama?"

SPOILER ALERT But seriously, that ending made Absolutely No Sense to the point that if he had come back and said he was James Bond(Feel free to substitute other equally unlikely scenario), that would have been more believable. Hahaha lol. But oh well.

Park Min Jul 01 2023 3:00 pm The story was outright bad in the first place but its execution was even worse. Incoherent disjointed narrative, more often than note there was no clear direction or goal. It's impressive how it managed to continue for 16 episodes. The first 4 episodes were completely empty and could have been cut down to 30 minutes at most. Other slice of life dramas are more eventful than this one. As per usual the trend seems to be to over-saturate everything and turn a blind eye to anything else. This is Go Ah Ra's weakest project and the shallow character itself was tiring to watch.

Ish Jun 17 2023 4:57 pm The first half of the series is a real treat. Go Ara is splendid and you can't help but love it. The second half is too complicated and the ending is absurd. I understand that with the competition from Korean series, it's hard to be original, but there you go!

Pretending to be dead to his fiancée for any reason, good or bad is absurd and monstruous. And coming back at the last moment to make a happy ending is just ridiculous. A more traditional ending would have been welcome.

Just finished watching this drama. It was excellent until literally the very last scene. I feel like they did some tests and realized they shouldn't have a sad ending, so they just added it in. It would have been perfect if he was just an illusion, a sad but happy and fitting ending. Still, Go Ara remains one of the greatest things to ever happen to Korean Drama.

But the 2nd half is just a mess especially 3 eps from the ending. They should have stick to the genre of the first half I feel like the plot towards the end is so forced. All In all the acting of the actors here are great so proud of you all! I'll rate this drama as 6.5/10

This drama rolled every genre into one show. The ending had me feeling so disrespected. I was sitting there watching the ending like, “SERIOUSLY?! how are they gonna just hit me with that outta nowhere?” The writers and directors definitely know how to play with the viewer’s emotions.

The first half of the drama was very cute and light, a little suspense, and I actually enjoyed watching those scenes with Jun and Rara. During the second half, the story line drastically changed and honestly it was really unexpected and I felt like the main characters are just making stupid decisions causing a lot of misunderstandings— but it was still okay. But the last minutes of the drama is where it crosses the line. It was really awful.

I started to hate the male lead because he did nothing but lie, causing trouble all throughout and I can't believe he dare fake his death and came back after 5 years like it's just nothing when everyone around him believed that he died. It's just a ridiculous ending I must say. I mean I could handle the sad ending (I really preferred this, I would be more satisfied if they go with a sad ending) but they pushed the unrealistic "happy" ending that doesn't even make sense and is NOT giving at all. The drama lost its happy vibe and I feel really disappointed when it is already coming to an end.

Anyways, this is pretty good tho. The main leads are really cute, I love their chemistry so much. Wishing for Go Ara's new drama comeback. Highly recommended, but yes watch on your own risk.

The title didn't enticed me but I guess it's a title one will find it difficult to forget. I am glad I did not pass it. Go Ara and Lee JW did so much credits to their characters. SPOILER here: I’m on episode 15 when the main star walks on his parents discussing his incurable cancer / What? You take a light hearted drama like this and make it way too serious Now? Renwa Feb 26 2021 11:44 pm Enjoyed the storyline very much, fine casting & solid acting (Lee Jae Wook & Go Ara), generally a fun lively series to watch. That said, the overall script was choppy & the ending while ultimately “happy” after 10 minutes of sobbing just didn’t do justice to the script. I got the feeling that either the writing was week to week and then the script reflected a “boxed in” ending or the script was completed in advance and nobody properly edited the balance & structure of the storyline. Too much fill in chatter within sub plots & not enough development of the ending for the main characters with such possibilities. The main characters (with such fine actors) got left hanging in an improbable ending. So many loose threads...after investing my time watching & emotionally investing in the series. So sorry for any critical comments but on behalf of the main characters I felt cheated.

Its a lighthearted kdrama with funny, amazing and heartwarming characters, even the 'villains' were so comedic and entertaining to watch lol. But I just had to say the leads were perfect, Go ara was soooo good in portraying Ra ra's character, you could feel her genuineness I can't help but adore her and subconsciously smile while watching her in every scenes, Lee jae wook too, man, this guy is so versatile as a rookie actor, watched him in Extraordinary You as a bad guy and hated him a tad bit hahaha but now, I think I fell in love. His eye is intense and expressive, acting is so on point! I'm a new fan.

the drama was pretty all over the place. imagine every imaginable kdrama trope and mash them all together to get this drama. it didn't flow very smoothly and honestly the ending would have made it understandable but they had to throw the cliche twist at the very last minute. im gonna be honest, i still think rara is imagining jun came back, he is actually passed away. i feel like that ending would have been a lot more meaningful.

I felt like the writers were playing with the viewers' emotions and I even felt offended lol, which is not how I should feel after watching a drama. I did not always like seeing things through the main character (Rara) point of view because it left me confused as a viewer. Many dramas have succeeded in shocking the viewers with 'surprising' elements or showing bits and pieces of the puzzle through a character's narrative but this drama is a poor example of it.

Great acting by Lee Jae Wook. Go Ara was okay too. This drama had some cute elements but again, I'm left disappointed with the overall writing and execution. I wouldn't recommend it.

I like her chemistry with Lee jae wook. The script was amazing too. in this kdrama, I laughed and cried. I like the ending for me it was one of the beautiful endings. In this Korean drama wasn't a character that makes me annoying. I very recommend this kdrama.

Sabine Jan 08 2021 5:06 pm Okay, I take back what I said in my last comment about RaRa being dumb and nothing really happening. This was a really beautiful drama. There weren’t any dragging parts. It had a wonderful pace and moved smoothly between romance, fun, drama and action. Even the big dramatic side story wasn’t dragged out unnecessarily like it’s the case in so many dramas. It’s been a long time since I was able to marathon through a korean drama without getting bored halfway through, so this was a surprise to me. And I really don’t think Ra-Ra was a typical dumb character at all, anymore. She seemed like that in the beginning but after a few episodes I could understand her more and she turned out to be a very 3-dimensional character. She is really perceptive and genuinely nice and just a happy person that wants others to be happy with her. The TWD-club was just hilarious and I loved that all three supporting characters next to Ha-Yeongs mom had their own storys and depth. What I really like in this drama is that it took so many clishee tropes and deconstructed them f.e. by Jun realizing how tacky his message to RaRa was and her cringing like I did infront of the TV and throwing her phone away. That made the whole thing fun. SPOILER: The only thing I didn’t really like was the ending. And I don’t really mean the Jun getting sick-part (even though that was a bit too much. But it was acted out pretty well with all the hints which I only realized after the whole thing. All these nose bleeds and Jun missing his doctor‘s appointment all the time etc. The foreshadowing was pretty subtle but there.) What I didn’t like was how he suddenly came back. It felt too constructed and fake. As if some director suddenly revoked his ‚go‘ for the sad ending at the last minute and ordered the crew to shoot another three scenes after everything has already been finished. To me it felt like they chickened out.

Sabine Jan 06 2021 3:08 pm I didn’t expect to like this. Nothing really happens and Go Rara is a weird dump character which I usually dislike. But she has her moments in which I like her. (As in when she connects the uncomfortable feelings she has with how the doctor treats her with how she acted with Jun) I‘m now at episode 5 and am not bored with it yet. I probably won’t finish it (I tend to get bored with most dramas halfway through) but I‘ll enjoy it while it lasts.

The last 3 were tear factories, with a questionable ending. I didn’t really like the character of Go Ara...it’s overreacted and too much all the time. But I understand that some people kinda like it. I discover Lee Jae Wook in this drama and I must say he was really good. I’m sure we will see him in many more soon.

SPOILER AHEAD! What was with that, the fact that he suddenly out of nowhere gets sick, and dies. And then the last five minutes he's back, and all is well? Who tf would do that, for five years she thought him to be death! You don't embrace that person happily if he ended up lying to you like that. That's just awefull. It's similar to someone lying being terminally ill for attention (and yes that happens).

I was so hopefull and the last five minutes screwed it up. If the series would have finished eith RaRa, who is such a strong woman, sad in memory of Jun but looking into the future with strength. It would have been such a good ending. Sad but happy, you'd know RaRa will be all right in time. And she has the memory and love of Jun with her always, and she'll be successful and find someone again maybe in the long run. But this sudden twist, just angered me. It dropped for from 8.5/10 to a 6/10.

I have to say, the reason I started watching this drama was because of Lee Jae Wook, and the serious second male lead syndrome he had caused me on Extraordinary You. It was really good, except some things were not my type(for example the fact that she constantly counted on LJW) but I just bore with them. In the end though, I didn't really like it. !!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! On episode 15 we learn LJW has Leukemia and on the next episode we only watch him on a bed. He just disappeared for 5 years and then he came back like nothing happened. That was rushed and I think it really blew up the whole series. I would give a 8/10 just for the ending.

I trully recommend this drama to watch.Its a rollwr coaster of emotions.For me its a 10/10.

It made all of the tears I shed at what was supposed to be Jun's passing feel cheapened. Am I happy they get their "happily ever after"? Sure but not how it came to be. If they were going to have him beat the cancer and them walk off into that proverbial sunset together then just do it like all other drama's out there. It feels incredibly vile to have shed all those tears just to have them go "haha gotcha he wasn't dead at all even though his mom told Ra-Ra he was and could never come back"........... I don't know if anyone here has ever seen A Walk to Remember but imagine if Mandy Moore's character was just suddenly alive and well when the husband returns to talk to her father about her and med school. It would have ruined the entire part of the movie where she was sick and died.

The first 13 episodes by themselves I would give a solid 8.5/10. It was exactly what I expected and want out of a kdrama nothing more or less. If I have to include the last 3 episodes then it plummets to a 4/10.

I ve been also playing the piano for many years and the music in this drama just touched my heart, as well as all the characters. I laughed a lot and cried a lot. I need to watch next a rom com in order to get over this. Amazing job. You will find yourself crying both from happiness and sadness. Definitely 9/10, and i don't give 9s easily. The ending was satisfying even though i almost smash the screen before I see the very ending.

If you watch lot of kdrama, you Will know how this kind of ending sometimes happened. This drama is a really warm love. I just like this drama very much, it gives when the camelia blooms feeling but in different ways.Even many people dissapointed with endings, i'm still like the warmth feeling at the last episode. How rara become stronger and people around her that really help her to settle down in eunpo city. Rara and jun is one of my favourite couple even with minimal skinship. The journey of their love is so beautiful. They both healed each other. 9/10

coryb Dec 01 2020 1:25 am i guess, i'm having a hard time moving on from this drama.....i had a hard time getting up this morning because i had jun and rara in my mind.....i think, the 5 years leap was logical.....jun had leukemia....and i could imagine the disease must have left him emaciated...those who have seen a cancer patient may understand why jun did not let rara into his life when he was sick.....he must have been skin-and-bones when he survived the illness and when he said to ara "i waited until i was fully recovered" was truthful.....and it took him 5 years to get his health back...when his mother thanked rara because "the thought of her gave jun the strength" to carry on, was sincere, and it might have been the time that jun was trying to win ove the disease...but just could not tell her jun's real situation... oh, how can i really move on with so many loopholes to patch.....i hope the writer, director, and producer, heed our special request for a sequel...overall, i enjoyed watching the 16 episodes....thanks to this drama, i was a able to add more to my piano pieces..i like the haunting melody of "the pleasure of love" tho it is actually a sad music....i a still trying to find the sheet music for jun's homecoming music....

I see people complaining about the end,but I really understand why they had to make it this way,even though they could have made the gap a bit shorter, like 2 to 3 years instead of 5. They wanted to make the male lead a bit older/mature in order to be with the female lead who is 5 years older. Also,I remember Mr. Kim married his wife after 5 years too. But,it is very unrealistic for someone to stay this long without finding someone new to love,especially while she thought he was dead (she just presumed he was dead,as the mom never said that once).I mean, come on,5 whole years without any dating?! I wonder how many people in real life will wait for a love one 1 year,let alone 5?( I see this a lot in kdrama and I always shake my head)

Overall, this was great and super funny (up to episode 14),and the whole cast did an amazing job. I will definitely rate this 10+ if I could,and most likely a rewatch.

Even 5 years after jun gone and comeback, i did not think rara miserable during that time. Rara become more stronger as her had a good people like family around her. As rara said, times her spend with jun defined herself and that times become unforgetable memories to her. But still, 5 minutes epilogue would be nice.

I never thought his just 22 years old, his look mature for his ages. DDSSLLS become my one my favourite drama this year. Hope can see both of them at KBS drama awards.

Bittersweet Ending Nov 29 2020 9:38 pm Spoilers!! The ending to DDSSLLS was bittersweet but I think it left room for a story line for a second season....which I hope they do!!

I re-watched the entire drama to focus more on the details of the story line. Mr. Kim's love story and Ra-Ra/Jun's love story have some parallels. Both love stories had a point where they broke up and had to be separated and didn't see each other for years. Another similarity was each love story had a letter given to the leading love lady but in Mr. Kim's case his letter to Su-ja was misinterpreted. I was hoping that Jun's letter wasn't the full letter given to Ra-Ra and part of why I think there might be a second season. One of the themes of the the entire drama is if it's meant to be it will find a way back to you. Hence why Jun came back 5 years later.

I also don't think Jun went away to the US. Every time Ra-Ra and Jun talked on the phone Jun's hospital window always showed the same as Ra-Ra's window if it was evening or day time. If Jun had gone to the states, his window would not show the stars when he was talking to Ra-Ra when she's about to go to sleep.

Also, Mr. Kim's son said he would take Mr. Kim to Seoul. If Jun didn't leave, then I think he probably stayed in Seoul to get better and hopefully he was able to visit Mr. Kim before he passed away. Adding this because I refuse to believe Jun and Mr. Kim didn't see each other for 5 years if Jun was alive.

I did think about other people's theories that Jun really passed away and that the ending was Ra-Ra meeting Jun in the afterlife.

Starting in episode 12/13 we hear Jun in third person talking about how he wished their story ended there as a happy ending. I thought of this as him reading out his letter to Ra-Ra and this continues throughout the rest of the episodes up until the very end in episode 16 where he tells Ra-Ra he loves her. This little details is what possibly lead me to think he may have passed away.

But I think Jun's dad got in the way and didn't let Jun contact Ra-Ra because in one of the earlier episodes we know that Jun's mom asked Jun if he wanted his dad to get involved and then his dad would teach Ra-Ra a lesson. Jun also promised his mom that he would do anything she wants if she purchased the building and Jun really wanted to get better and didn't want to let Ra-Ra see him sick. Another theme in the later episodes is: If you endure the tough times, you will reap the fruits of your labor. Jun was going through a difficult time not just with his health but with his parents. I am really hoping that there was more to the letter he meant for Ra-Ra explaining how he needed to focus on his health and his studies before they could be together. Ra-Ra and Jun didn't contact each other for 6 months after Ra-Ra broke up with Jun through a letter.

I see Jun giving back the tea cup to Ra-Ra as a promise that he'll be back to reap the fruits of his labor.

This is just my opinion..I loved the series and even though they were togheter at the end I dislike the end so much, strange, very strange but that is the way I feel. For his mom to come and say that he was dead, to give her his letter, to return the cup and to put everybody on that turmoil, for Mr Kim to đie not knowing that he was alive, for him to appear after 5 years like nothing and for the sadness that she went through thinking that he was gone and that she would never see him again, I hated that, yes it was great to see them togheter but it was cruel that she had to suffer for 5 years thinking that he was gone and him knowing that he was alive and getting better, it is a big NO for me. Just my opinion

Everything in the first half was super light and fluffy and it instantly became my happy pill. I have never watched a Kdrama before unless its completed, but this drama had me waiting and wishing its Wednesday and Thursday already and could not get enough of all the behind the scenes to fill up my yearning for the next episode to air. The end part might be rough for everybody, but I dont mind as long as I know they will live happily every after. I dont think I'm ready to let go and to move on after this show. I cant do what Rara says --- to cry and let it all out today so you can start over tomorrow'. I maybe needing alot of tomorrows before I can move on from this show. Both had a good start but kind of disappointing towards the ending. I expected Dodosolsollalasol to be a healing and light k-drama but it broke my heart with the last episode. I felt that the ending was rushed and had a lot of unanswered questions.

[SPOILER ALERT] I agree with @Rivania's comment of Jun coming back after faking his death after 5 years. I think it was really unnecessary. I mean, the whole Eunpo neighborhood grieved for Jun's death not only Ra-Ra. They accepted it and moved on and suddenly he just appeared like nothing happened and just kiss Ra-Ra? I think writer-nim tried to at least end it with Jun coming back to show that they have a happy ending and to make it less tragic, but no!!! It didn't work for me. They didn't give justice to Jun's character on the latter part of the drama.

This is better that the The King: Ethernal Monarch. Though they have a different genre but the writter for Dodosolsolala put all loss ends together. To be honest there are loop holes in the plot. Still it is a good drama that conveys different kind of relationships. Friendships with different ages (Jun and Mr. Kim). It covers different kinds of loves. That loves comes with no barrier nor age. It is something you feel and you decide. I recommend this drama for people who would like to watch a refreshing, light and hearthwarming drama. If you are looking for something heavy l will not recommend you to watch it.

Script was not bad until the last two episodes and general atmosphere of the drama was heartwarming. Actings and musics were lovely. If you want the watch the drama i reccomend to akil last two episodes.

I was hopeful Jun's character would grow as he grew closer to Rara. He realized it was wrong to lie to her about being a runaway highschooler.... but then in the last epsiodes, if felt like his growth was reversed.

Ironically, the writers systematically dismantled all the character development in the last half of the show for the sake of unpredictable plot twists. (I can understand some twists, but only as long it's following explanation is commensurate with the shock factor.)

Also what I saw was that Jun was the only one making decisions for them not the both of them. I get it that Jun doesn't want Ra-Ra to see him ill but let your girl do the decision too. :'(

I think the writer noticed that her script was not unforgettable or expectional and she decided to be unforgettable with one of the worst finals ever. Really, i feel like an idiot because i watched this garbage. I liked all actors and musics. But because of the last 2 episodes i hated the whole drama. Not recommended. If you want to watch an avarage rom-com kdrama find another one. This is not what you are looking for.

For those that havent seen this drama I wont go into specifics but the tonal shift gave me whiplash and that end, what the actual heck?

Was a quirky sweet story up until episode 15 and had enough other plot threads to keep it interesting but they decided to introduce a very weird one out of left field that had no real reason other than to drag the story out a tiny bit longer.

I might have understood if the show had 10 more episodes to fill but to introduce that at episode 15 of 16? That's nuts. Way to fumble the landing.

To be honest I stopped half way the episode because I was extremely sad and really couldn’t get myself together and watch the episode till the end. The last episode was sad, happy, unexpected and expected at the same time... I had hope that everything will be okay. And I don’t even know if I was sad because I was ending such a good experience or because of the events happening in the episode. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to watch it. For those who don’t know whether to watch the drama or not- Yes. Do. It’s a light, colourful, full of all types of love drama. The actors are just insanely good. I’m I love with all of them. I cried and laughed with them together. I will definitely try to find other movies where I can find the male and female protagonist. They are so cute and talented.

I'm so glad that the villain is not that strong here. Mainly just bunch of good people life together in a good neighbourhood. The twist in every episode also surprise me every time. Hope it will ends happy and Jun & Rara be together.

It was a beautiful drama with lots of plot twist and I enjoyed every seconds of it. Definitely one of my fav drama.

I tried to play few notes on the piano for the first time in my life . I have no talent but still tried to bring myself to a happy place.

My childhood best friend has been diagnosed with Cancer and I am just a mess.

But in a world where life is full of ups and downs , I was to be Jun ( confident ,kind, unselfish) and Ra-Ra (ever smiling, naive, loving) human being.

So thank you to the cast of Do Do Sol La La Sol.

Now he found love and seems to be turning a new leaf they give him cancer. I feel sorry for this guy but really this is closer to reality than we think. However, this is drama. Preview for tomorrow’s episode looks bleak but basing on the history of episodes, I think we might see a twist in the end. I’m hoping it will be the positive kind or I’ll be so sad . Sometimes there’s no sense of justice and fairness in this world.......

How did she, upon finding him, not ask why he ran away, how he was coping with the death of his best friend that he had witnessed himself? I think it's because of 2 things: a) Korean format of 16 episodes b) viewers' rating This series could easily have expanded into to 2 or even 3 seasons. I feel the writer certainly has left options open, ie the grandpa Mr Kim, the sec Mr Moon, Dr Cha and ex, the IVF hair customer the child pianist prodigy, Rara and Yuna, Yuna and his mum, Yuna and his dad (lousy dad and husband in my opinion), Mr Moon and his lady .... To the writer: is that right?

I just hope since it is a comedy that the ending will be happy, ie that both Rara-ya and Jun-aya will marry. It's probably not realistic because which 20 year old man would marry a 25 year old woman unless the series jumps in time 4 years? Then again would the 25 year old woman wait 4-5 years especially since her way of earning a decent income is so poor even with rent free accommodation? Let's also please see the private detective and the hair stylist get together as well as Dr Cha & ex-wife.

Btw, it's clear that Juna had to make a deal, ie break up with Rara for good) with his parents when he asked to buy the two buildings to save Rara and Hayonga. Very predictable, logical!

I respect your opinion about the plot. However, it has serve its purpose for this story. I watched this to be entertain not being critical about the plots.

I like how the writter plotted the story. It is creative and the writter didn't leave any lose end in each episodes.The story is not complicated and it is really pleasing to watch it. The actors are really good and of course the director and crew did a wonderful job as well. I don't find lead actor handsome but he is very charismatic and good in acting. I loved how he portray his character. I hope to see his acting more in the future.

Episode 13 had a slight twist but I was expecting it when the 2 teen friends were planning to miss out on college and set up a business. Episode 14 - this most likely would have mostly sad moments for the lead couple. However, it may also have a happy moment hoping that Mr Kim wakes up ang gets his properties back before they get sold. Dr Cha will remain Ra Ra's anchor during her breakup with Joon-ah. The classical piano playing is one of my favourite parts as each piece is nicely incorporated into the story line. Of course, Mimi, the cutest dog ever, will always make my day.

I had a big expectation for this drama but unofrtunately it just a meh for me. I don't really like the fact that sunwoo jun is still high school. And casting Go Ara when she's clearly in her 30s? I love her in other drama though don't get me wrong she's okay in this drama she pulled it off really well as a young bubbly heroin but I wish they would cast a younger face. But Go ara being a professional she is she managed to look like this characters age and personality.

Second is: what with sunwoo jun is actually a high schooler? Paired with an adult 24y/o Rara? I don't get it why they must potray him a s a highschooler. He can be a runaway college student and the drama plot still won't be affected. It's not about the age gap btw. It just doesnt feel right with me. Idk but if it is me I would find it hard to keep fall in love with a high school student, a runaway at that, when I'm an adult. He would feel like a brother instead for me. I'm in the same age as Rara btw.

I keep continue watching this drama for the sake of lee jae wook only. I like his acting amd him as an actor. He has a big potential.

He is immature and stubborn and ungrateful, which doesn’t seem obvious to people his age, but should seem obvious to Ra ra. She is bubbly and optimistic, but she is grounded and mature. This is the picture of a well adjusted adult. She knows how to give respect. She lost her whole family. She’s resilient and she will always succeed. There should have been more in the plot about the secretary stealing her money.

NGS Nov 05 2020 11:12 am watching tonight episode (ep10)... make me want to say : stop the debate about how Rara and Jun age, they should not dating, Jun is minor blaa blaa blaa . I believe the writer and director still have their common sense when making this drama. I feel like today's episode want to show that. the message of the drama also simple yet good.

Rara know about Jun and let him go. Imo, she let Jun go since He still need parents' assistance until He can really rely on his own decision. Jun still have a future ahead too. So, she let go of him and let him learn about those first. so, stop accusing Rara with bad things. Her knowing Jun identity and let him go, is the wise move IMO.

I feel so sad suddenly. but, I really believe both need to re-arrange their life first and finish what they cant finish first before really end up together. I expect the separation, sad, but understand.

I was watching him act as a father in Start-Up then I started this drama and I feel so uncomfortable seeing him go for the female lead. He’s like a 40+ ahjussi to me while I know he’s playing like a mid-30s guy in this drama cause he’s friends with RaRa’s ex fiancé. But he doesn’t look mid-30s and it’s really creepy that he just shows up around her(doesn’t matter if he lives around the block, just be on your way then) and asked her to dinner?? Anyways, just my opinion lol. The leads are doing great though.

You have to watch the drama on it's own artistic merit and storyline and not to liken it to an actual life scenario. Well done to casts and crew for an enjoyable drama.

Technically there's no law about dating but the age of consent in there is 16, so it's not really breaking the law that they have feelings for each other. Moreover, rara only knows that they are the same age, so from her side the relationship is normal. The drama doesnt promote inappropriate relationship, the age gap thing and the high school senior absent situation are just some of the conflicts to make it interesting.

This will be a hunch, it might be a heartbreaking story in the middle. Rara might not accepts Jun's feeling even she like him since Jun is younger (i hope i am wrong). Or if she accepts Jun's feeling. Rara will have a difficulty due to Jun's mom (i hope there love will see it through). Dr. Cha is better pair with the salon owner.

I just want them to be happy find healing. Each characters have pain and suffering. This story makes my heart flutter. The last time i felt this way watching Rom-com kdrama was with Because This is My First Life and Romance is a Bonus Book.

Was I also get from this story is that we have three characters each dealing with a new grief in their own ways. Joon with his friend, Ara with her dad and overall change of lifestyle, and Dr. Cha with his health.

iC Oct 23 2020 6:50 pm First of all, this is a KBS drama so they'll likely to keep it really PG13 and might rely on a time jump (probably 2-4 years later those sorts of stuff).

Next, some of you seem to only see the ages but dismiss the characters behind them. Jun is 19 and Rara 24 (KR ages). Technically, Jun is underage but is there anything from the drama that suggested the characters are commiting indecent and morally wrong acts? Jun has feelings for Rara and that's not necessarily wrong. Rara isn't aware that Jun is younger than her and there's no romantic feelings for her (or she hasn't realized them yet).

Lastly, there are bad people who do prey on teenagers but it's not the case here. Totally Not OMG!

So I'd like to say, if you're uncomfortable with the age gap, drop it. IMO it's a light and heartwarming drama with adorable characters.

His mother has been paying a guy for a long time to find him. So Jun might be 20-21. To me the doctor looks in his 40"s so bigger age gap between him and Ra Ra than Jun and Ra Ra.

Anyway, loving this drama. Go Ara is my favourite actress and I remember Lee Jae-wook from Memories of the Alhambra as the young Marco.

Also, poor Dr. Cha I thought he was creepy at first but now I believe he’s dying so he’s just trying to live his best life. That’s why he wants to be as honest as possible.

Can’t wait to see what else the writers come up with.

So the second lead is a practicing doctor (probably mid-30s), the female lead is a college grad (so probably mid/late-20s), and the main male lead is a high school (probably late 20s). Look at that! The writer sneaking up on us, showing us the complexities of each characters first and allowing us to appreciate them for just how they are before telling us about this little detail that would, in normal circumstances, prejudice us in how we consider the character.

Honestly, I have grown to love the main characters that I am willing to accept this surprising detail. Jun is so responsible for his age, even for my age. Rara is well Rara. And the doctor I think is misunderstood and wants a companion.

I look forward to the next episodes, writer-nim.

The drama makes me so happy I'm eagerly waiting for each episode. To me, Rara, the FL, isn't weak at all. She's inexperienced and as she's going through the major changes in her life, she's also learning to adjust. The way I see it, she's doing a good job so far. She believes in the goodness of the world and that's an outlook that's a little bit hard when you're in her situation. And Jun is kind and helpful, but as it may seem, he has a lot of secrets. Does he help people because he's inately kind or does he see it as some kind of a comeuppance? Anyway, give it a try and you might love it the way we do!

The love interests are piling up. I thoroughly enjoy the silliness of Ra Ra’s antics, her creative bright flair. Poor Jun seems broken. I’m hoping he heals himself in time to save their relationship before one of her other suitors takes the lead with her. This show makes me long to move to Korea. The beautiful landscapes, the city and small town backdrops, the food! Let’s not forget MiMi! She’s adorable! What a lovely little doggo! Thank you for this wonderful show!

I think Jun’s friend died which was reinforced for me at the end of episode 4. The word “bye” triggered him. So, I’m curious to find out more on that end. Plus, who’s the mysterious body with Jin name? That’s an interesting plot.

I also think Ra Ra dad is still alive but that might just be my wishful thinking.

haha Oct 15 2020 1:41 pm If you're having doubts about watching this, please give it a try! The plot may seem simplistic and light, but I honestly think that's what its charm is. The characters really make this show fun, especially the two leads. If I'm being honest I'm still warming up to the secondary and supporting characters, but I'm sure I'll come to like them eventually. If I had to name one thing I don't like, it would have to be the teenage girl that's 'in love' with the male lead. I know her character is supposed to be there to serve some sort of comic relief but she really gets on my nerves lmao. Other than that this is definitely one of my favourites airing right now!

I’m loving the male and female leads. Usually I have second male lead syndrome. (Nothing wrong with this second male lead btw.) but I’m just loving Jae Wook’s performance. The first episode had me crying my eyes out. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve had a hard time recently and I am just extra sensitive or what. But I’m really attached to this series already and I’m hoping I still have this same view halfway into it, and at the end.

I highly recommend people give this a try!

Jenny Oct 08 2020 10:24 am RaRa (Go ARa) and Jun (Lee Jae Wook) have undeniable chemistry in Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and they portrayed their respective roles amazingly! The first episode made me cry with all the touching moments of RaRa with her father and made me laugh by RaRa's innocent beauty and positive aura while my heart fluttered with how Jun looked at her. I watched it thrice and I know I will keep doing so in each episode because I could not get enough of them. In the second episode tonight, I laughed really hard at RaRa's quirkiness and innocence. I appreciate Jun and Dr. Cha (Kim Joo Hun) concern towards RaRa and I could not wait for the next episode because of the last scene. Wondering what? Watch it! I assure you, this series will make you happy.
