His character in Curtain Call and Tastefully Yours cast him as an intrusive chatterbox, talking too much or too loudly, in scenes intended to be funny, but awkward. I hope he does not get stereotyped in such characters.

Minji Oh Oct 03 2021 8:24 pm I'm a silent fan of Kang Ha Neul for almost 9 years. It started when I've watched him at "To the beautiful you". It is true that you don't need to watch all of his dramas or movies to know how great of an actor he is, but even though he's not the main character of that kdrama, he really do caught my attention because you can really see how passionate he is in terms of acting. He's that good. And believe me when I say that he's the actor that can pull off every character given to him. And it's very hard to do that, to portray a role knowing he have done a lot of roles and he gave justice to all of it. Given that he has the looks, good at singing and can act well, he has a good heart. Maybe the reason why a lot of actors, senior or younger than him respects him so much because of his personality. That's why when he receive the best actor award for " When the Camellia Blooms" I almost cry because, at last..he was recognize for his talent. He deserves more projects, main roles perhaps.

I watched his When the Camellia Blooms and tbh, his wedding proposal was the most genuine I've seen so far. I cried because I was so touched. He is so versatile and I love it so much when he laughs. I think any role will suit him. He's perfect. I even named my car Ha Neul. <3

If he can also play the simple, enthusiastic, lovable hill-billy, he can play as anything. Amazing. I also saw this story about him on a show somewhere. When he was almost discharged from his mandatory military service, a junior from the entertainment industry was joining his section. Knowing this, on this Junior's first day he left notes on his table to help him adjust and fit in easier. Isn't he just the nicest? I'm glad to support such a talented and kind person :) Fighting KHN!

myangel_myhero Dec 23 2020 9:03 pm The meaning of his stage name is pretty impressive - strong sky. He is not into commercial drama or films. The roles he had played were diversed. I want to see him as "rich guy, jerk guy", the typical lead character just to prove that he can be popular if he had done that. Hahaha. Im happy to see him laugh and hear good stories from him "the good story maker". Hope he'll do variety shows coz he is silly and ridiculous which is fun to watch. His singing chops is no joke. He can belt high notes without doing falsetto. I love his version of Snail and I Choose to Love You.

He is inspirational and fun to watch. His laugh and smile are good vibes.

Yang Oct 08 2020 5:31 am Let's be honest. Kang Ha Neul is one of the best actors of his generation. He has not disappointed us in any of his projects and he really deserves to be praised. He's not just a TV actor but he's in musical (theater) as well. He is so good at singing and if I am correct, he really learned how to play the guitar for his role in Monstar. He really does his best in whichever role he plays and he's not someone who chooses a role just for the sake of being 'popular'. I believe that he chooses the projects based on what will make him better as an actor, not for fame but for improvement.

I'm just sad that he's not as popular internationally compared to others when in fact he's much better than them. He deserves to be hyped! I was so happy that he won Best Actor in Baeksang.. it made me sad that some Kdrama fans were against the result just because other nominees were more popular. Kang Ha Neul Is Such A Freaking Good Actor!!! Someday you'll see that as well.

I haven't finished it yet and am only on episode 13-14 but Kang Ha Neul's role and character is AMAZING!!! He is really handsome and can easily play a handsome rich guy or even a cunning/smart hero but this role is so unique and he is executing it beautifully. He deserves so much praise for it.

Then to see them together on June 6 for the Korean Memorial Day ceremony was a bonus.

The two actor/soldiers sang the National Anthem as part of the national ceremony. That is a real honour for them and Joo Won and Im Si Wan.

LKB Oct 23 2017 5:00 am I had a hunch at least one of the Midnight Runners stars was about to enter the military, and he was my first guess as both the baby amongst the sunbaes and the one who got the most drastic haircut (and who truly looks much better with more hair). At least he got some practice in for the rough months ahead. Great work and stellar chemistry with Park Seo Joon in Midnight Runners! I enjoyed it all, from the chipmunk smile to cringe worthy action scenes that were really well-done (painful to watch at times!) and general dorkiness that few could rival (except maybe PSJ himself in Fight for My Way-he keeps being a funny, dumb strong guy but it works! Thankfully She Was Pretty and KMHM were more balanced less jock-like but still funny roles)... He has come a long way from the endearing kid in Angel Eyes (truly beautiful though I wanted more of the young years w/Nam Ji Hyuk-even though she wasn't a big star when I saw it).

At the very least look up "Kang Ha Neul I choose to love you' on YouTube...you will swoon and go weak in the knees! I hear that he has done a lot of musical theatre in his career. I absolutely loved him in Angel Eyes, and I fell so hard for his acting in Scarlet Heart Ryeo (Although he ended up becoming such a hated character, in the beginning, he was simply just perfection). Every time I'm looking around for new (or old) dramas/movies to watch I always find my way back here, hoping to see something new. When I see his face I just remember the perfect acting he displays every in all of his characters. He is very underrated for someone that is just radiating talent. I honestly wished he wouldn't play as "evil" characters anymore though, his smile is a smile that can only be described as angelic. He looks like a kind prince, and I hate seeing him do bad things.

He is now one of my favorite actors and people ever. Not only does he have a sweet voice, he delivers amazing performances in all of his works. He is definitely a versatile actor. A perfectionist student, a mad killer, a lovely innocent boy, a comical dorky college student, a charming prince, an ambitious power hungry burdened character, and so on- he never fails to portray his characters well. I could feel and understand his characters. They are able to touch my heart and that's what makes me admire Haneul's acting so much. His acting in Missing Noir M, Angel Eyes, and Moon Lovers really left me in awe. Definitely, my most favorite thing about him is his personality. He is always so cheerful and happy. He is humble, polite, respectful, kind, caring, friendly, funny, and dorky. That's why many people who have worked with him adore and praise him so much. He is always smiling. I've never seen such an adorable person. Honestly, he deserves better. I hope he gains more popularity and achieves greater success.

Is the writing good, will it appeal to the public, will they accept me in this role? I imagine those were some of the questions rolling around in his head when he selected the Scarlet Ryeo project. His character in that drama is reviled by just about everyone who's viewed this drama, and we are talking millions of a global audience. His skill as an actor, the generosity he gives to his cast members, and his respect for the work is evident in this drama. This character, Prince Wang Wook, is detestable, a coward & murderous individual who covets what isn't his... his jealousy knows no bounds, and the mask he wears hides his hideous inner soul...that all comes across the screen because of his skill as an actor...we love to hate him in this role! He's fantastic in it...

All of my friends asked me to watch Monstar, but I was just listening the osts, I didn't have time. I didn't know, surely. And, in this year, I was thinking, "You must have favorite recent new actor, right?" And, slightly I think about Kang Ha Neul.

I made fan fiction, like last night, and I put his character on my story that loves to do music... that after I finished it, I found that he's actually musical stage actor! I mean, I pairing him with Kim Ji Won, because both of them were in To The Beautiful You and The Heirs. I would love to see both of them as main couple in musical drama, they both really great! ^^
