Yoka Mar 01 2023 12:23 pm Thirty nine. Mr. Yu Young-a, i hate personality cult. I never adored actors, singers or what ever. This is my first reaction ever. You wrote/ made a beautifull movy. My mother died last year of cancer. I was alone with her, my brother worked abroad. I had no Friends or family to help me and to share my sorrow. This movy is the truth about all the love and pain during the period of dying of cancer of your beloved one. It was beautifull to see how it could have been if i had family and friends that would have helped me. I hope your movy will stimulate people to take care of each other in difficult times. Why? Because it develops the breadth and depth of a generosity that can nourish two connecred hearts and all their contacts Also the restraint and emotional pacing in the screenwriting reflects a writer who understands patience, its weight and outcome. And that patience and generosity are supported by a thread running throughout of exertion and discipline with regard to work and art and cooking. I will watch it many more times for sure. These include “Crash Landing on You”, “Something in the Rain”, “One Spring Night”, “Doctors”, “The Queens Gambit”, “Itaewon Class” - the list is quite long. But I must confess that I’ve watched “Encounter” more than any of the others. My only gripe with the script is the high bar set by the character played by Park Bo-Gum. He is anything but “ordinary”, the description given in the Asian Wiki synopsis. He puts most males to shame. As well as being amazingly considerate, he’s obviously very smart and will rapidly work his way up the ladder to the very top to form a formidable team with President Cha. It might be possible to produce a second series in which the relationship between the two leads is taken further. I guess COVID 19 will make it difficult to produce a believable storyline but I don’t think it’s beyond the skills of an experienced scriptwriter like Yoo Young-A. Here’s hoping! Finally, a drama that is realistic, heartwarming and not frustrating was created! Finally the characters think a bit and do not "sacrifice" their love only to learn that they should have stuck together from the beginning or do not stick together too much in an unrealistic and cliché way!! Your drama made my heart race and melt, I can't take it off my head! It is such a good drama !And the actors are the best! They are soooooooooo suited for it! Once again, the plot is amazing! The twist of the story and also the way that you narrate each episode is so capturing. 16 episode are really too short to wrap up the whole family saga and i wish that one day, there will be investor that willing to invest on creating a movie that narrate more on how President Park and Na Hong Ran, get together to conquer MG group by pushing down all her brothers. I watched episode 8 last night and I've read where this show is projected for only 20 episodes...and I am so curious if you have been able to satisfy all the questions the viewers are coming up with in their heads. For me, I have a lot of questions, where the episodes thus far have not completely satisfied, such as, how did Ma Te's parents meet each other, and why didn't Ma Te's father financially support them if he knew of Ma Te's existance...why did he allow them to live like that. He seems so uncaring, even right now as he battles his health problems...he checks up on Ma Te's status but he is leaving him prey to his villanious wife and former daughter-in-law. I also have questions about why Yo Ra is making Ma Te go through all of these different women, while there are lessons to learn from each...it's seems more like she is using Ma Te to fight her old enemies...women that she found fault with....maybe they were so-call friends and turned on her when she was put out of the MG family...not sure....again questions!!!! Yo Ra seems to be hurting Ma Te more that anyone else...because he doesn't seem to be getting any closer to meeting his father, than he was in the beginning. And poor Bo Tong, she doesn't seem to be getting any closer to capturing Ma Te's heart than she was in the beginning...really she seems to be heading in the opposite direction, because the storyline has been unable to separate her from Choi David...it's pushing those two closer together. Anyways, writer I commend you on doing such an entertaining script...but I hope in the remaining 12 episodes that it will all become clearer...or you will get the GREENLIGHT TO ADD ABOUT 10 MORE EPISODES...ANYWAYS, GOODLUCK AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE REST OF THIS DRAMA!!!!!
