I was so intrigued about what is going to happen next that I couldn't wait for another episode. And the story kept moving at a pace which kept me glued to the screen. Also the story reminds me of the author Haruki Murakami. He writes very similar to you. Thankyou for such a wonderful drama I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Puren Sep 16 2021 6:28 am My favorite kdrama director. In whatever she does, casting is amazing and interaction between actors (big or small role) feels very natural. Also she is very well in making realistic dramas. In all her dramas, a lot of cliche kdrama tropes are turned upside down.

crushonyou Sep 14 2016 9:25 pm Mrs. Lee Yoon Jung is my favorite Korean drama female director. She shows warmth and intimacy very well especially in nature and relationships. Plus she has a taste for indie music in her work. However I think she is limited to many genres. Her envision of CITT was poorly done with a poor writer who hasn't written a drama for 10 years. The drama lost direction and ended in a terrible note. She could definitely do better.

I watched CITT because Park Hae Jin and wanna see his physchiology aspect, which is unique and mysterious. i dont even care about Baek in ho and his piano story as SUPPORT CAST. How dare you cut many scenes of lead actor (read: PHJ) after he filmed and made his best effort??? Worst director ever!

Whoever heard of a lead being cut out of his own show. And that ending... I know Kdrama takes the win for bad drama endings, but yours takes the crown for worse, uncertain, non-existent ending ever. You could have done a much better job, that you didn' speaks to your unreliability. The show was supposed to be about Jung an Soel. By ep 14, I wasn't sure what I was watching. By the way, I had similar dissatisfaction with Heart to Heart and Golden Time. The only one of yours I liked was Coffee Prince.

marie Mar 12 2016 4:09 pm I love your dramas. I'm rewatching Coffee Prince, as I speak!!!^^ Still one of my favourite dramas!!! I enjoyed Cheese in the Trap very much too!!! The acting feels very natural and I like how the relationships are dealt with in your dramas! The focus isn't only on the love story between the leads, but also the relationships between Seol and her friends and student classmates or In-Ho! This drama is in that respect very unique because the characters are very realistic and we can relate to them!!! Don't pay attention to all the other bad comments! I look forward to your future projects! ;)

Honestly, I didn't have much expectation for it, but it turned out to be cute so I continued. However, at some point, this director seemed to have decided it was more important to her to give an actor she seems to obviously like more screen time rather than the actor who was supposed to be the leading male. I'm disappointed and irritated. Now I just know better to not watch a drama directed by her again.

I'm one of the viewers who needs reward after patiently watching the 16 episodes of this drama. You should have given us a happy and satisfactory ending. Park Hae Jin is the lead actor in this drama, but you made IN HO exceed his role in the later part of the drama. This made us sad as fans of PJH. Also we are expecting that since this drama is based on the webtoon, it will be portrayed as it is. Coffee Prince is one of the best drama ever for me, so I am disappointed with the Cheese in the Trap that I considered it as "trash" to me.

But I am so disapointed that my favorite couple of all time pretty much diminished. If this show doesnt get a 2nd season ill be so hurt. Should've just extended the show because it seems like the end was very rushed. Your work was amazing up until now. Please think about creating a second season. Pchan Mar 02 2016 1:15 pm Incase you didn't notice (As I supposed you to be seeing how you make CITT drama that way) CITT was originally a story about Jung, the main lead male, who had a psychology problem and how that affect both main lead, Jung and Seol relationship and how they manage/overcome it. The webtoon described the reason why Jung become a person like that, but your drama does not, too many important scenes got cut, so people who only watch the drama won't understand and think Jung is really a psychopath and they will love In Ho more. Urrgghh it's so irritating to see when Jung scene was replaced and gave to In Ho especially when PHJ already filmed it and even got injured from it only to get cut and gave the scene to SKJ. If you want to make a story about In Ho and his piano over the main lead story, why won't you make a drama called Inho Cantabille? Don't use someone hardwork (Soonki) only to ruined it. I felt sorry for Soonki since this drama left us really a bad taste. I'd not consider CITT drama, will only consider the webtoon as the original story, it's so much better. the drama is such a waste. Will watch your drama no more, that's all.

I read an article about a CITT staff scolding fans for negative comments on instagram. This is the translated version :

"How funny. Why do people talk so much? Why won’t they just like it? Why do they wag their fingers at us when they have the choice of not seeing it in the first place? Do you people know how many staff have to work hard to make one production? I wish people would stop talking about things they don’t understand.”

What is wrong with your staffs? You think your staffs have it hard? All staffs for other dramas work hard for their drama too. Why join if you find it tough? And why can't us fans comment on how shitty your drama is? Isnt it a fact? If you can't accept having negative comments for your drama then why film a drama? Totally ridiculous

Please blacklist this PD, she doesnt even deserve to be one.

hera Mar 01 2016 11:25 pm i watched Cheese in the trap from beginning digidently, i rewatch it before the next eps was on air. i like it until eps 10 , and it start bad when you focus to in ho. watching drama CIIT, its like starting with a good date,and in the end you just got betrayed by your BF. and even getting murdered. because my BF turns into serial killer in the end! thats how i feel! feel dyinggg!! beacuse i need more park hye jin, poor him!! he should reject the offer. or CIIT should get a better director! such an epic fall. i wont ever watch your movie or drama direct from now on. i am not korean, i am a foreigner. and we all her to watch PARK HAE JIN, not seo kang jon. if you messed up the story, u should change the drama title. people confused ,is it cheese in the trap or piano in the trap. EVEN IN THE END, you show PIANO MORE than our YO JUNG. If you begged your main actor to do the drama for his popularity, you should have continued in that direction. No matter how good a couple of your previous dramas were you will be remembered by this horrible drama. I made myself continue to watch because of the lead, not your supporting actors. You owe an apology to Park Hae Jin, your network, the fans, and another another to The webtoon writer. I will try my BEST to never watch your work again, or reference it again.

Mirium Feb 27 2016 12:14 am How sad that you were on the way to creating the best ,ever, adaptation of a webtoon with Cheese in a Trap and that you let it slip through your fingers. I don't know what made you made decide to so drastically detour the flawless flow of the story line which brought tremendous disappointment to the audience and so negatively affected the show. Moving the focus of the story from Jung to In-ho, was a bad call from a creative writing perspective. You know that. There was so much to explore with Jung's character. The complexity and the psychological richness of young's character was a blank canvas for creativity. You should have show us why Jung became who he was? why there was so much pain hidden behind his cold smile? and so many others why??? that you failed to answer. We, the audience, wanted to witness Jung transformation. His rebirth to a better, less damage, version of himself. We wanted to see how Seol was going to help him to heal the many wounds that he carried deep within his soul. It did not have to ended this way- with such a tremendous sense of disappointment. Yes, you disappointed us, the faithful fans who anxiously waited every week for a new episode. You also disappointed Park Hae-Jin who was doing a marvelous job expressing Jung's inner turmoil. But most importantly, I know you know you have disappointed yourself for letting this rare opportunity to create something remarkable, slip through your fingers. This drama could had been as successful and unforgettable as Coffee Prince.

Lovable Lindy Feb 19 2016 5:41 pm Cheese in the Trap is the first drama series that I've watched directed by Lee Yoon-Jung. I'm absolutely obsessed with it. I'm intrigued by the complexity of the story line. It's not your typical cheesy/campy plots that you can sum up the ending by watching a few episodes but has more depth to it. I love how each frame is shot. The resolution quality doesn't look like a cheap digital camera was used to film. The sound choices used gives this ominous feel. the dynamics between each character whether it be the lead or supporting actors are great. Every week I anticipate watching this series. It's too bad that the series doesn't run longer =(

Lee Yoon-Jung keep directing great series/movies. I'm now a new fan of yours!!!

Coffee Prince was the first Korean Drama that I've watched that was not tagalized and that started my addiction to Kdramas,,I prefer it in Korean with English subtitles only because I also want to learn the language. I never realized on the first few episodes was like," ahhh,what's this?" but since I've been into it,for the sake of just watching and id manage to go further.But my views take maneuvering it,360 degrees turn! I kept on telling myself,wow this is what I've been looking for..the story don't need antagonist for you to have emotional turmoil..the story itself feels like its so refreshing.. The love they had was priceless..
