Actress formerly known as Kim Min-Sun legally changed her name to Kim Gyu-Ri in November of 2009. The Korea Times reported Kim Min-Sun went by the name of "Gyu-Ri" at home since her childhood days and the name change reflects a fresh new start for her. She was involved in a scandal in 2008 where she posted on her blog that she would not eat imported U.S. Beef. She then became the target of a lawsuit by A-Meat (a U.S. beef importer).[1]
Kim Gyu-Ri will co-host with actor Kim Sang-Kyung the opening ceremony at 2011 (12th) Jeonju International Film Festival.

In "Portrait of a Beaty" she was fantastic. In "Rainbow Eyes" she was pivotal, for me anyway. What an actress! Will definitely be checking out all her other movies and dramas. Saludos desde Puerto Rico.

Just watched Ms. Gyu-ri Kim in " Portrait of a Beauty" here in Australia. Soaring romance, beautiful heroine and touching story. Cannot believe Gyu was 28 years old

when this film was made- she looked about 19 years only on screen.!! She is indeed a rare beauty even when dressed as a supposed male in the film. I was not aware of

Korean films until now- will now find all of Ms. Kim's films- she is above all a fine actress in any language and a credit to Sth . Korea.

I had the opportunity of watching "Portrait of a Beauty". Min-sun Kim is a beautiful woman and a great actress. I am an European and not very familiar with Korea and Asia in general, but I think that thanks to this rare actress I will start learning more about her country, its customs, and history. I also like Korean language, it's quite different from other Asian languages, full of vowels and more easily to pronounce than Chinese and Japanese. The film itself was like a poem, I appreciated the director of photography for his/her sensitivity in shooting scenes of a rare beauty.
Why don't you fill in your own pages at www.imdb.com? People from Europe and America would like to read more and see more pictures of you on that known international movie database.
South Korean movies started being very appreciated here, a ten thousand miles' distance is nothing if compared to the pleasure of watching quality entertainment. Once again, congratulations to Miss Min-sun Kim, and last but not least, her partner Kim Nam-gil, who has already won an army of fans in my country, thanks to Queen Seon Deok. One should see the forums to realise that:-)

omg shes like skin and bones!!! so creepy how all these actresses starve themselves to be thin so they can show off how thin they are...sets bad examples to young girls. i mean, im a 13 year old girl but i realize this stuff...
she was in the immortal lee soon shin too! only for a short time tho. maybe 4 episodes?

Need more info on Min-seon too. Just watched Loveholic, never cried so much in my life. the emorsions were because of her part playing. I want to see more of her, but do not understand Koeran (yet). xxxx
