Regal Otaku Apr 20 2025 7:38 am Here to pay respects. I'm so sad. But I want to tell everyone of you who reads how I came to know of him. In 2016, I watched the anime Ao Haru Ride and loved it. I searched and learnt that it have got a live action too. I immediately downloaded it and watched it next day. I was quite drawn to young actor who played Kou. I searched about him a lot but nothing really came up. The fact that we were of same age also fascinated me. Then I found him. I watched the live action again and watched his drama In-house Marriage Honey on YouTube. I just loved it. I wondered why he is playing a husband's role, he's too young for that. But then I laughed, that we are about 25 now. Time have passed and we've aged.

Something that is going to overwhelm me is that these days I'm watching the drama series of Ao Haru Ride.

Now it's quite sad to learn he's no more here to light our hearts with his acting anymore.

sjaklieno Sep 11 2021 6:00 am Love Japanese actors, they are incredibly handsome and this actor in particular..his smile charms and warms the whole screen <3..just hope this actor will not be a victim too of overproductions due to a killing contract..too many Asian actors are overworked, if you look at all the work they delivered to us fans, they sometimes have 3 jobs at the same time; dancing theater singing acting modelling TVshows interviews charity, it's really impossible..we need to protect them and give them some space/privacy/quality time, to keep our idols happy and alive <3

lkb Jun 25 2019 11:03 pm Wow he is good looking in a glance back thrice way...in the (home page) Hot gimmick poster he reminded me of Korean idol L from the side profile...then this pic from the nose up reminds me of when Seo Kang Joon used to be a cute rapper kid... You can kind of see why these particular idols are quickly cast to model and act (the latter sometimes a painful learning process/done before they have time to really train, some total natural talents aside-Lee Jong Suk one I remember going straight from modeling to acting with no sign he had less training/skill than, say, Yoo Seung Ho). Yes yez I keep mentioning Koreans. Not enough Japanese names known versus 16 years, 8 occasional then 8 practically a second job, watching and eventually subbing KoreN dramas (and too many titles that have generic titles when they do translate, the Japanese titles impossible to remember/spell for me)... I tend to like Japanese films more than other countries' (Korea has TV shows, at least prime time twice a week slots, totally down-others can only scurry to catch up oftentimes though the more dark and sci-fi Japanese stuff is brilliant, the stuff they are wise to adapt and adapt again!)... Anyway, he is just captivating... His eyes are fierce in the best sense, focused and alive...I want to see something of his just seeing stills with him emitting massive charm in a 2-dimensional photo/screencap... That is its own gift. I hope 1) he can keep up which in turn requires my bigger hope, that 2) the writing of the works he is in are truly excellent. I saw the kdrama Solomon's Perjury (which came first? I think Japan's 2-part film deal was earlier but both were 2-4 years ago so my brain is fuzzy)... Not sure that is the best place to start since it won't be fresh material... Maybe hot gimmick -it sounds like he is a childhood pal turned model pretending to like her, dating her, etc to get some revenge on the one actually trying to protect her from being used (probably the stiff looking tall, thin Hiroya guy not the stocky-faced/bigger-jawed one I think playing a brother? Teen stuff is iffy for me but if it is darkish I am game... Not sure what is good from the list here-feel free to tell me why you like what you do of his since I only have so many hours and many are given to kdramas and jdramas once in a while though they are too slow to update w/subs and I know 7.25 words in Japanese so I can't just watch raw or listen in the background peeking up for the good stuff like the less amazing Korean shows still sucking me in.)

Though I wish there would have been more scenes of him with young Futaba, like the scene in the manga and anime where Futaba smelled his back. But anyway it's still awesome.
