    I have watched Mr.Sunshine over. and over. I like the historical aspect and the fact that there was a real life Mr. Sunshine.

I enjoyed Byun Yo-Han's character. He grew from a cheerful playboy to a serious person in the revolt. He has eyes that vividly portray his emotions. Great performance. Thanks.! ? Vicki Pruitt, an old lady in the US

Shoofy20 Feb 11 2025 9:04 pm I just got so curious on Mr. Sunshine as I haven't watched Kdramas for 5 years now. I have only watched, I think, 3 Kdramas. Just when I decided to watch again, I have read a lot of recommendations on Mr Sunshine. I watched it and binge watched it in just a week! It's Literally A Masterpiece! As an artist, I am so impressed with the storyline, the directing of each episodes, the costumes, the settings, cinematography, and the actors are superb! It's a total package of a masterpiece!

Then there's Byun Yo-han. I find him a very attractive man, gentle, so handsome and kind human being. From then on I started to watch all of his films. I never had a Korean actor crush before. So Byun Yo-han is my first! I love his eyes! ^_^

I have watched "Mr. Sunshine", "Misaeng", "On The Line" and "A Day" so far and I find him a multi-talented actor, versatile, genuine and he delivers his character roles in each films he is on very well! Or should I say, a well-rounded actor and as a person.

Although, I'm having a hard time where to watch his other films, I'm very much looking forward to his new projects! All the best to you Byun Yo-han! ^_^

MScott Apr 06 2022 2:20 am Just a quick question. Who, if so, was your stunt double in the fight scenes. They are very fast paced and exhausting to watch. It must have taken a few weeks, if not months to co-ordinate all the moves and film those scenes. The best fight scenes I have seen so far. Well done to all the actors, stunt doubles, staff and behind the scenes crew.

I am so glad to have lived so long (74) to have seen such a complete work of art !!! The backdrop in every scene was perfect, all actors were perfectly cast, the story, the writing could not have been better. The camera "loved" every character and every scene. Do yourself a huge favor....see this film!!

Both of those shows pulled me into wanting to watch more Korean based shows because I felt that the quality and depth of the stories surpassed any I had seen here in the U.S. It was in Six Flying Dragons that I realized how incredible of an actor he is. I cant wait to see more of his body of work and i hope he continues on acting in future projects.

Much like what an earlier comment by Barbara Taylor, his acting and the few shows I have seen so far have created a greater desire in me to research the incredible history of Korea. Which i find to be far different than what I had learned from stories from my father who had served in the Army iver there

Barbara Taylor Sep 16 2018 9:41 pm You in South Korea have been keeping secrets from us. Your movies are excellent, but until Netflix offered a few of them, beginning with Mr. Sunshine, we in America had no idea what you had to offer.

Not only Mr. Yo-Han, but all of the top 5 stars of the show are superb in both acting ability and charisma. For that matter, I think the entire huge cast was exceptional.

So were the screen writers who kept this very lengthy mini-series suspenseful throughout the entire 18 episodes I've seen to date, yet also presented the story with artistry and such charm that I started looking for other South Korean movies.

In fact, I am now researching South Korea itself - people, history, geography, culture and much more.

Mr. Sunshine is the best tv series I have ever seen, and I look forward to much more from Korea - as long as it's subtitled, due to my inability to understand Korean.

At first, I thought I was going to fall for Kang Ha Neul (Jang Baek Ki), but in the middle of the story, I realized it was Suk Yeol whom I like the most out of those 3 boys (sorry Ha Neul and Siwan). Keep up the good work, dude!!

Such great acting. I'll be so disappointed if he doesn't get any award for his acting, he has a way of projecting his emotions which is so captivating.

I watched Misaeng a little later and he always reminds me of Kai (I think it's the CMB hairstyle & when he smiles). I'd like to see him in more dramas :-)

He really brings his character to the full attention of the viewers with his skillful portrayal of Suk Yool, his skills for acting have matched "Misaeng's" brilliantly written screenplay. After his performance in Misaeng directors and author' should be vying for his attention.
