Set in 1592, Admiral Yi Sun-Shin (Park Hae-Il) searches for invading Japanese naval forces. A decisive battle takes place around Hansan Island.

Notes

Filming began on May 18, 2020 and finished on September 30, 2020.
Based on the true "Battle of Hansan Island" naval engagement that took place in 1592.
"Hansan" is the second of three films planned by director Kim Han-Min about Admiral Yi Sun-Shin.

joa Jan 26 2023 11:36 am i agree that for the first 60 minutes it was not that exciting at all, but i also agree that for the rest of the movie it was really tense and packed. I also realized this movie shows that someone as great as yi sun shin can not win the battle alone, his strategy is brilliant but i admire na dae yong brave decision. i give 8.5/10

SG Pup 1722 Nov 30 2022 3:15 am The first 60 minutes was about providing the background and building up towards the battle, so it was lots of talking and slow moving. But the second half of the movie was great action on the sea. Highly recommended. I watched it on Amazon Prime Video.

urukira Aug 28 2022 11:14 pm most ppl waiting because of cast, n here im because of the story lol. admiral roaring currents is one of the best colossal movie ive ever watch, i definitely gonna watch this. this one will be trilogy they said. thats super great. for ppl who wants to watch this, better watch the admiral roaring currents first, even tho this one is prequel, it would make you love the Character more.
