Jillibean May 28 2025 12:44 am Literally one of the very best actresses in South Korea, of any age. She was spectacular in shows like Sandglass, Piano, Will It Snow At Christmas?, and Goddess Of Marriage. Next I will watch her in Mother And Mom. She's outstanding.

I was reminded of another actress and the character she played : in the "The Band's Visit" (2007) (I watched it in French), the Israeli actress, Ronit Elkabetz, gives a performance that reminds me of Jo Min-Soo's rendering of Song Ji-Sun.

The character of Song Ji-Sun is a deliciously funny, real, and complex character.

Both actresses (Korean and Israeli) play their character with genius and show us on screen the actual multi-layered personality we all have as women, well, some of us have. :) A lot of us. :) Complete privilege to watch Jo Min-Soo's performance.

She was Amazing in "Will It Snow for Christmas".... also amazing in "Pieta"....... so different than the role she played in "Piano"....shows her RANGE and VERSATILITY as an actress... She's also a Beautiful woman.... .... ..... one of my favorite Korean actresses... .... ..... ..... ...... ...... and as @coconut said about rating, some people favor the younger actresses.... ....so true..... but they are missing out b/c most of the very beautiful and very talented actresses now in S. Korea (and I made a list) are almost all about 40 years old or above..... ......

coconut Oct 12 2012 8:45 pm I concur with every single thought expressed by @Gasenadi in the previous post! Not only did this actress completely win me over in 'Will it Snow for Christmas?', but she had my heart in the epic 'Sandlass', as well. I swear some of these people rating must have no clue other than they only favor the young actors and actresses and are basing their opinions purely upon their hatred of the characters that these amazing veterans play. You need good "bad guys" in dramas or they fall flat. This actress is amazingly convincing and talented. Don't hate the player, hate the game...

Gasenadi Aug 17 2012 2:11 pm Jo Min-Soo was my sole reason for watching "Will It Snow...?" after Ep 10/11. I cared less for the leads and more for Chun-hee. Jo Min-soo NAILED this role! Her character could've easily been nothing more than a buffoonish caricature. Jo Min-soo made her the most poignant, complex mother I've seen in a long time, in any movie or drama. The things she can do with her face! Broke my heart many times while watching. I notice long breaks between her movies and dramas. Apparently, they don't affect her performance. I'm dying to see her now in other things. May she be continually blessed.
