No matter how much a certain role camouflages a person with mask, costume and even character, it is always gratifying to see a glimpse of the real person. That is by no means a deficiency in acting, but rather a strength. Park Ju Hyun is adorable throughout the whole series, and makes this otherwise at times somewhat banal piece a real treat. So tired of women who act like they constantly need saving by their knight, women who wear thick make-up but have paper-thin personalities, women who think highly of themselves that they're some form of reward that guys gotta work hard for. I never loved a female lead like how i love Bae Gyuri and i think Park Juhyun's amazing performance contributed a lot to this Bae Gyuri effect. I cannot imagine other actress playing the role. She tailor-fitted the character so well and to think she is a rookie! I can see that she's going to be the next real thing. I hated her when needed, but then I would be back to liking her in the next scene. By ep 5, you can't help but really admire her range. I was surprised that this was her first major role and that she's also just new to the industry. Hoping to see more of her. We need more Kdramas with female leads who have rich, but not-OA facial expressions. P.S. I actually never hated Bae Gyuri because. As early as ep 2, her motivations were shown.
