Kim Moo-Young (Choi Jin-Hyuk) has been a zombie for the past 2 years. To survive, he has mimicked the mannerisms of humans in a village. He then leaves for the city. There, Kim Moo-Young opens an office to work as a private detective. He does not remember anything before he became a zombie. He struggles to live with humans and to regain his past memory. Meanwhile, Kong Sun-Ji (Park Joo-Hyun) used to be a writer of a current affairs complaint program. A witness in a case, she was working on, was attacked by an unknown man. Due to that, she quit her job. She becomes involved with Kim Moo-Young and takes a part-time position at his private detective office.

Park Min May 27 2023 8:23 pm Good concept for a comedy but it's such a limited concept that even 12 episodes were too long for it. The first 2-3 episodes were interesting enough to keep you watching but after that it turned stale. Both leads and the sister with her husband were the four prominent characters and all did a decent job.

Undead Bum May 10 2023 1:29 am oooh it's such a shame that there's only 12 episodes, I wanted more of them solving cases tho. but it's a very satisfying series in which all the mysteries we were first introduced to was solved. Great pacing and characters. 10/10 would watch again.

She should be a prosecutor/lawyer or a police officer/social worker. Lol. Rather a light hearted show. Enjoyed the humorous scenes. This show that some human beings are worse and more inhumane than zombies. The make-up for zombie is so well done!! Just like many crime/fantasy kdrama out there, seems like it has potential for Season 2 as well !!

The writing is kind of sloppy at times and the twist reveal is not that hype as well. But it is not too bad I guess. If you down for something a bit comedic, then this one would be great, but if you in for something serious, this is not it. 6/10 from me.

Choi Jin-Hyuk was so good in here, funny, sincere and very convincing. This show should have 2 or 3 seasons at least. Sweetly original.

Choi Jin Hyuk has always been a favorite actor of mine and he and Park Joo Hyun had great chemistry doing their scenes. While I love to watch him in Rom/Coms I did enjoy this light curiosity of their emotions as the leads. Even knowing that he is a zombie she is getting emotionally attached to him as well as all the other people who are aware of his flaws ?. There hasn't been any episode that I'm disappointed in to much so I am eagerly awaiting for the next season ?!

I should praise Choi Jin Hyuk for his acting. I've already knew that he has a great acting skill, but this drama proves it more. I think Choi Jin Hyuk is the hottest Korean male zombie. Looking forward to season 2

Worth to watch Dec 03 2020 7:09 am This drama is light, hilarious, and really worth to watch for me in this pandemic. As we know there are so many good kdrama in this year. But still this one cant be missed. At first, I come to this drama cause of Choi Jin Hyuk and I add this to my watchlist. Then one of this clip show on my feeds, the scene when he was using BB cream for the whole body and this makes me cant hold back my laughter LOL! After watch all eps, I can say that chemistry of both actor is so good, storyline is fresh, sometimes thriller, sad, and in the other time is hilarious. I can conclude this drama is underrated. Choi Jin Hyuk suits so well with this character, detective, mysterious, and funny. If you like him, I really recommend it!!

I love how when the scenes get too scary to the point where I just cover myself up with a blanket,the next moment it's all funny and I feel,well,at ease. Thankyou for creating this drama. Its been quite some time since I laughed so hard.. This movie made my week :) I really recommend everyone to watch this drama!!!

That said, I have never disliked any of Choi Jin Hyuk's dramas. I love that he is doing a variety of different dramas. Some actors you barely get one drama per year (or one every 3 years), so I am glad we got 2 Choi Jin Hyuk dramas in 2020.

The plot is ridiculous but the writers went all out with the absurdity of it and made the show fun and entertaining. Both leads acted their role very well. The ending is just perfect, given the circumstance. The series is only 12 episodes, so I didn't expect everything to be wrapped up neatly. However, this opens the possibility for another season. So please, KBS, give us season 2! There are so many plotlines that can be explored.

I love how they wrap the story fast rather than just catching 1 villian for the whole series like most of other drama. I cant wait to see the ending. Definitely will recommend others to watch.

I think Kang Min ho should investigate Kim Moo young's death earlier, why now after he decided to leave. But still, I will finish this drama. The comedy still cracked me up.

The female lead indeed looks like Kang Sora but more energetic and theatrical. I am now searching for more Choi Jin Hyuk dramas. He looks more mature than his age. But I would like to see more projects apart from his usual bodyguard/special agent role.

I love Zombie genre and comedy so put them together and I got myself a gift. This one is 10x better than that abomination called Rugal and I'm thankful for Jin Hyuk for taking this on. Never imagined he would have a project like this and I'm enjoying every second of it.

I decided to try watching this because of the plot that involves a "zombie." Tbvh, the first 2 episodes got me bored but I tried to give it a go on the 3rd episode..and guess what I am now hooked and loving it! Hehehe.

Episode 7, So Far Gave Me The Most Laugh Haha.

The female lead sister and its husband are way too funny. Hwang Bo Ra & An Se Ha. Hahahaha. Of course, the combination team of Wang Wei & Lee Seung Rok hahahaha. Anyway, to those who is hesitating to watch this, pls give this a go.

Yes...choi jin hyuk looks like he Is totally enjoying his character & he is one hunky funny guy hahaha & park joo hyun too is downright funny...with a scent of Freshness, innocence & natural own style in being hilarious. I like this drama...and yes it gives that healing vibes & sense of humour. Tq PD nim & the group for giving us such a warmth Story of a Zombie lol

Priya Oct 04 2020 10:08 pm I'm really enjoying this drama...Choi Jin hyuk?has done such a great acting.....it's so funny refreshing and with a lot of existing twist...the author has done a great job. Although in between I also got annoyed by the character of the main female lead...but it couldn't stop me from watching it further cause its just so awesome. Waiting for the next episode...so excited!!!!. I really look forward for the love story between the main leads❤❤.

Rai Sep 29 2020 11:31 am I don't understand why some say it's boring, but I think this series is beautiful! It's light and funny, a perfect stress reliever. Admittingly this show is shot simplier compared to other kdramas(?), can't really put it into words but I think it just adds to the beauty. It's simple and as a viewer I could focus more on the expressions and acting of the actors and actresses which is, natural and easy to the eyes. I love all ths cast here they have great chemistry with each other, the comedy. Im a huge fan of choi jin hyuk, he's very funny here and soo cool haha, the lead girl is also cool I like her very much I think they suit each other despite the huge age gap(?) I dunno she looks young. Anyways I so so love this drama! Keep up the great work! Looking forward for the following episodes.

But honestly I already have a different mindset of a zombie. Zombie isn't supposed to have the ability to control itself, let alone to mimick a human and become a detective. Maybe instead of a zombie, it's more suitable to make him a vampire instead.

This drama is definitely not for those under 15 years old. I could think some people might find the preyed animal scene is too gruesome. An intriquing drama indeed. Awesome casts!

The Undead detective sounds cooler and seems more appropriate when reading beneath the lines. "Kim Moo-Young (Choi Jin-Hyuk) has been an Undead for the past 2 years. To survive, he has mimicked the mannerisms of humans in a village."
