When i start watching gap dong i already admire your character as a detective. The determination and positiveness of your character to prove that, not all accused are guilty until proven guilty in which i totally admire your character and you as will so....so...much!!!! ...........how i wish i could see your face and smile one day......?

Mei Jun 12 2019 6:56 pm First saw and fell for YSH in My Fair Lady only a month ago. Since then i've watched Secret Garden, My Wife is a Superwoman and just began I Hear Your Voice. Not to mention you tubing for interviews and music. Beautiful expressive eyes, smile that lights up his face, projects a caring, funny, sweet, down to earth persona. I think he is so handsome, hot and talented. I hope he continues to get roles so i can continue seeing him on the screen, i hope he continues to sing, too. He is so expressive!

Eileen Mar 05 2018 4:09 am Have only just started to watch Gab Dong and am hooked already. Really good acting from Yoon Sang-hyun and the rest of the cast. Going on the Wikipedia site, this series is based on the unsolved Hwaseong serial murders, so that must have been hard for the actors to get into the characters, especially the actor who plays the psychopath, it must take quite a bit of mental effort to get into how a psychopath's mind works. I'm from the UK, and have watched quite a few Korean TV programmes, so glad that Netflix showcase programmes/films internationally as I get tired of some of the American productions as, although they are well made, the format is nearly always the same so it's nice to see that other countries especially in South East Asia are just as good. Looking forward to watching rest of Gab Dong, another actor appearing in this, Sung Dong-il, have seen in other productions and I enjoy watching him, he's very good

Lucy Feb 08 2018 5:01 am Quite a few actors/actresses get stuck in, or accept, the same type roles/characters, possibly thinking them to be 'safe' or not wanting to venture beyond or to expand their acting abilities. Yoon Sang-Hyun has accepted such a varied list of characters and used various degrees of considerable talent for each of them. I have not 'liked' all of the characters he's played, but I've found myself engrossed in watching him play them. I look forward to watching anything when I see his name listed. I did not know he is a singer so I should check Soundcloud, eh!?!

Then, I really excited to watch Gap Dong. And again, he was perfect in that drama. I loved to see his facial expressions, style and body language. It was just too perfect. Maybe one day, he can become a guest in variety show like Running Man. And I am really looking forward for his new/upcoming drama.

I think that is one reason I enjoy actor Kevin Klein, in one silly, short moment of his role in the movie “Dave” (1993). In the first minutes of the movie, he is returning home on his bike, singing at the top of his lungs. A surprise awaits him. It might not seem that funny a scene to someone else, but I never tire of, no matter how many times I see it. Kevin Kline is 67 years old now, and though some of his feverishness (in French, say “fébrilité”) has dimmed, I still am glued to every moment of this actor’s camera time.

I got the same enjoyment from watching your performance in Secret Garden. There is not a moment of your work in this series that is not REALLY entertaining to watch. I at first thought that you were juggling two personas as “Oska”: - the stage persona; - the private persona, cousin of Kim Jo-Woon.

But you also play Oska, the flirt, and Oska, the musician who can sit very still, mesmerized as you are absorbed, observing another musician at work.

I think that audience members get to see four personalities in one when they see you as Oska and it is a complete privilege to witness your performance. When Gil Ra Im leaves the hospital and is talking with Kim Joo-Won, you arrive to speak with him; we see almost all four of your personas inside of mere second: the brother-cousin who argues as the private Oska, the flirt Oska who notices Gil Ra Im; for a moment, you switch into celebrity-Oska with her and back to flirt, then you turn back to Kim Joo-Won, and a smile on your face completely dissolves. …Later, when on the Island of Jeju, you sit, being the calm, observant musician-Osca, listening intently to another musician, only to switch to flirt-Osca when you are joined by a woman at your table.

As a viewer, I feel like I am on a roller-coaster ride, trying to keep up with who you are in one given camera shot. As one who does not understand your language, who must read the subtitles, I admit that even when I was watching Secret Garden for the first time, there were moments I thought “To hell with the subtitles”: I just needed to keep watching your face, and enjoy the visual performance.

What increases the enjoyment factor of watching your performance is that your scenes are often juxtaposed to Mr. Hyun-Bin’s role, because he delivers his outrageous lines with absolutely NO expression on his face, but also with flawless comedic delivery. The contrast between the two of you makes for unbelievable entertainment.

I am reminded of Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Marilyn Munroe in “Some Like It Hot” (1959), where there is also a frenetic pace of interchange between characters that Lemmon could precipitate.

People in my age, after saw Gap Dong they will thought Lee Joon but i just ask my friend, 'I think i really like Sang Hyun in that drama' and they think that i really like older person, i just say they can't find Sang Hyun ahjussi charisma. Anyway, really looking forward for another his project ^^.

I could not also believe it since with my age I'm not suppose to feel infatuated ey but cant help it i feel am going through a Yoon Sang Hyun's lovestruck spell. Keeps my heart young again. Seeing and noticing wonderful flowers along the way, bright skies despite its gloomy since its gonna be winter soon. Can;t keep my cellphone, laptop and ipad just to have any news or glimpse and even killing time to watch his movies and tv dramas. It was truly gratifying to see him doing the lead roles especially when he was with Yoon Eun Hye and secret garden as Oska. But what stood out best in him for me is the Seo Dong Chan role. I find him attractive, funny, naturally sweet and charming. Though I like watchin Korean drama but Yoon Sang Hyun is the only one who makes me curious about the behind the scenes NG takes and looked into his personal character probably wanted to know more about him in person. He is honest, fun to be with, caring for his fans, sweet, playful, serious about acting and has a great voice. He knows how to belt, croons and uses head tones in singing. He is the only Korean Actor who awakens my curiosity even wanted to know how he'd been after that and how he is now. There'll never be a day without looking into the net for latest news on him perhaps lovestruck ey. Truly he aged gracefully but he still has the X factor, his smile and expressive eyes. with good angle in the pictorials he still can magnetize fans from all walks of life. i am just wishing him all the best and hoping he will be wise to invest his finances or money to keep it growing at maximum level while he can still maintain his Stardom Shining beautifully night and day. To you Yoon Sang Hyun goodluck and more shows/movies on your way. Ur4everfan Oct 14 2014 3:07 pm I love him. I understand why he does not have so many fans in web like this. The reason is that when people are in their young age, most are not matured and deep enough to appreciate the true inner beauty but more attracted by the quickly-fading exterior. Unfortunately, young people are much more active in promoting their idols than working people like most of us. They have time and enthusiasm to do it. It does not mean that he only has this many fans, he has many but they are not here to publicly say they are fans of him but they follow, adore and appreciate his true beauty and values. To me, Yoon Sang Hyun is more than an actor, he does not act but he feels and lives the lives of characters in a much touching, sincere and deep way. That is the reason why I can't help thinking about him (as the characters) long long after I finish his dramas. He is the first actor that makes me ask myself: "who is he?" and find all information about him. He is truely handsome when he was young and if he have debuted his career at that age, he would have had such popularity as big as any actors/actresses. Now, he is aging, of course but since he has inner charisma shining from inside, he is even much more attractive than the flower boys in many Kdramas (to tell you the truth I do not like that kind of beauty, I want something more, something precious and eternal, something coming from a beautiful soul and sincere heart. I watch them but I feel nothing. They cant touch my heart. )

She has been studying Chinese since kindergarten and sings in a choir..so she has developed a great ear for music and languages. She has watched MFL several times and is now on "Secret Garden". It seems that she has a crush on Yoon Sang-Hyun. It's the cutest thing to watch.
