Go Ae-Rin (Jung In-Sun) suddenly loses her husband. A mysterious man, Kim Bon (So Ji-Sub), lives next door. Kim Bon is a legendary NIS agent. 3 years ago, he was involved in a failed secret operation and the woman he loved died. He has since become disconnected with the world and lives alone quietly. He helps his neighbor Go Ae-Rin uncover a conspiracy, which her husband became involved with.

Son ho jun, kis team, and the children were the big reasons i continued else the story was predictable and so many things were unnecessarily added or just made no sense. all in all don't watch it thinking it's some big brain drama, just watch it knowing when you are bored enough to go through it

Maia Jan 18 2021 9:26 am Just done watching. I liked the series but not loved it. There were a couple of loopholes here and there almost forgiveable and bearable. Idk but for me SJS felt lacking acting-wise though I know he earned a Daesang in this drama. I was trying to justify that his character is just that - stiff and expressionless because of the past hurt his character had been through however, I try to compare SJS's acting in Be With You and I see same acting. Perhaps, its just me. And about the coronavirus thing in the drama, comments here make me laugh. Coronavirus has been in existence waaaaaay before this drama. Pls do some research.

Hypto Dec 30 2020 7:28 pm Pro's and cons.. Best acting sequenses was without a doubt when Jung In-Sun was just being a mom. The one thing that looked the most natural through out the whole series. Not hating or anything, but the plot was more or less obvious as it went along. NIS ends up looking like noobs compared to KIS, and veteran agents tend to look plain dumb at times.

Alexey Nov 13 2020 4:55 am For me this drama didnt age well. Story is pretty typical, and theres no sense of reality, not much of originality. These kids are annoying as well. I was interested how the story resolve, but overall, this kdrama felt a bit unreal and mediocre. I liked Kim Bon and Jin Young Tae's duet, but So Ji Sub there is still not as great as he was in Phantom (which was amazing drama in a way). Anyway, it's still a good one. But I dont feel like I'd want to rewatch it.

I was interested to see the connection between the lead especially after reading a comment saying they never actually kiss. My heart stopped when Kim Bon did the Eskimo kiss. Somehow that felt more romantic then an actual kiss. Great drama. Great ending. Would watch another season.

It was fun, quirky and a lot of mission impossible type stuff w/c is really entertaining. This series will be enjoyed by anyone IMO. 95/100

b Jun 19 2020 11:47 am i loved this drama so much. this kind of dramas is totally my type—a combination of comedy and thriller. so ji sub is such a great actor, i loved that his cute side was shown in this drama especially while babysiting the two kids. lim se mi looks so different with shortt hair, it suits her very well. this drama made me fall in love with son ho jun!!! his character was so charming and his development was so wholesome.

i was very amazed at the mention of corona virus. who would have thought that it would happen this year!!!

this drama is very worth watching, especially if you like both comedy and action!!! One of the Best Kdramas of 2018.

Yes, Kim Bon shows this album cover very late in the series. I think the song is from the soundtrack from the 2015 Kfilm "Shoot Me in the Heart" (Shoot at My Heart) and might be called "Annapurna" written by Kim Jun Seok. The singer sounds like Savina & Drones. I'm going to try and get this soundtrack because no google search finds this song. Thanks again for your kind assistance.

Now I know why mostly people love ji sub because of his acting. I love bl part of sang ryeol and Kim bon this is funny part and in KIS. Team.. I love the when the kids of ho ae-rin always calls Kim bon ahjussi ..hopefullyy have a part 2.. I am recommend this series.

Good Guys vs Bad Guys Apr 24 2020 2:12 am I loved this show! Everything about it was polished and slick. The script was excellent and the all the characters were so very believable. Watching this show in 2020 with COVID-19 all around the world right now, I couldn't help but feel a little spooked that one of the themes was about corona viruses. If you are after drama mixed with suspense, a bit of romance and some good, old fashioned good guys versus bad guys viewing, watch this. You'll enjoy it for sure.

There are four different groups of viruses: rhinovirus, coronavirus, adenoviruses and parainfluenza. SARS and MERS are two types of Coronavirus outbreaks from the past that share the same characteristics as COVID19, like attacking the lungs. SARS, MERS and COVID are different types of coronavirus that come from animals and the description in this drama describes all three of them. It is not a prediction, viruses mutate all the time which is why we have so many different types of coronavirus. So it's not weird what they said in this drama. It would be crazy if they specifically said COVID19 in the drama, but they didn't. People need to stop being so stupid.

Anyways, the comedy in this show is what makes it for me. The scene where the lady can’t speak English but has to translate was so relatable! For someone who’s lived in Korea I felt like that not knowing Korean. I just loved how perfectly real it was but also perfectly comedic as well. It also made me realize how my Korean colleagues sometimes felt around me!

I’m enjoying this. I hope it has a good ending.

Though I'm not able to finish it, still kudos to Kim Bon to KIS team, to Ra Do Woo & Yoo Ji Yeon, and the others. Good drama to watch when you're bored.

There is pack of action, mystery, thriller, and moreover comedy in it. The ending also unbelievable, I couldn't predict that at all but still can't complain since it's a happy ending. If there is Season 2 of this drama? YES YES YES!!!

It began smoothly and then it's getting more and more implausible. I can tolerate plot holes and flaws to some points and this drama has crossed the line. Sad, because actually I like the cast.

Diane Jan 19 2019 11:26 pm Korean children are the best and most natural actors in the world, but the 2 children in this drama unfortunately met this writer. She created a nightmare of permissive child-rearing, where kids throw screaming tantrums on the floor in the supermarket, order their parents around like Joseon-era slaves, and do the exact opposite of everything they are told to do, including invading and stealing other people's property, putting their hands on the cakes in a bakery, and waltzing off with complete strangers. One wonders what they would do if they were told not to play in the traffic. I don't know why So Ji-Sub took this role, as he looks like a guy that would know how to invest wisely, and not be forced to do this demeaning script.

I mean just ridiculous. Plot holes, characters with contradicting traits, just annoying. I enjoyed the kids and KIS the most everything else was just annoying to watch. Skipped though all of it.

Kristin Dec 08 2018 12:25 am I loveee this drama!! Every episode literally kept me on my toes. All the characters were so endearing from the KIS team, to Ra Do Woo & Yoo Ji Yeon, Kim Bon & Go Ae Rin. I think my favorite character was Jin Yong Tae though, he was hilarious as Ae Rin’s boss and I loved the bromance between him and So Ji Sub. All the characters were so well played and had great chemistry. Definitely worth watching again!

So Ji Sub and Jung In-sun have a good chemistry that made every episode exciting and always has something to look forward into. It could have been better if they fell in love for each other in the end of the drama, although i still love how the writer ended it. It was another superb drama and highly recommended. It was a good thing that Jung In-sun got the lead actress role instead of Lee Yoo Young, because the latter actress has a very limited facial expression, not so charming and boring.

So as i read various comments that this only had slight romance i hesitated to watch it.. But so ji sub is my very first korean actor i fell in love with ( something happened in bali) so i took time to watch this and voila!!!! I absolutely like this drama. Everything was done perfectly... It has romantic side of its own which made this unique coz even though no skinship you could feel the sweetness in their actions towards each other... And the humor of this.. It's really great. And you will fall how terius take good care of the kids.. So adorable... Overall a great action, comedy and yes for me it's romantic drama. Hoping for season 2...

The twist of the real villain also great, however I don't know why but I already knew it since the actor who plays the real villain also potrays that kind of character in another drama. So not really a twist in there. Really need more convincing act in this plotline. However, don't worry the story itself is amazing !

Jeff Horne Nov 18 2018 9:53 am Sad to see it end, this was a great drama. I'm glad the first two Female leads declined the lead role because Jung In-Sun was a perfect fit for this character. So Ji-sub what can you say about him that hasn't already been said one of my favorite actors. The whole cast and crew did a great job on this one, I've watched a lot of Korean dramas and this one is in my top ten. It would be nice to see a season two, but I don't have the same feeling about it as the rest. I truly think the director Kwon Young-Sil (Seo Yi-Sook) is just playing match maker for the two, they both had feelings for each other they just needed a push in the right direction.

Skukian Nov 17 2018 1:13 pm just completed this drama and i must say that this was a really good and entertaining one! so ji sub was amazing as always... jung in sun portrayed her character really well.. joon-joon were the most adorable kids i have ever seen on screen and they acted soo well... the nose-nose thingy was soo cute! especially when so ji sub does it to jung in sun!! for the first time i wasn't bothered by the fact that there was no romance in this drama.. their friendship is a ship that will forever sail! the KIS was amazing too... the storyline kept me hooked from the beginning to the end! son ho jun was another remarkable character... the guy who played ra do woo is so handsome! the OST's were pretty good too... and that was a really good way to end a drama... i really wish we could have got an insight on the mission that was given to them in the end! overall i'd rate this drama a 9/10... Highly recommended! Worth the watch!

It would be nice if Yeon Kyung is actually alive and reunite with Bon, the best revenge the male lead could give to Shim Woo Cheol. Their love story is still better to me. Not to offend Aerin Bon shippers.

As for Aerin she should focus being a mother to her twins, she still havent told her twins what really happened to their father.

It will appear she is easy and didn't really love her deceased husband. Maybe they can time jump to few years in the future if they really want to push them together having a happy ending, that would be more acceptable.

Jung In Sun is also doing an excellent job in portraying a smart and loving mother. I am enjoying every episode- good pacing, great twists and intriguing plot. Hopefully, they will wrap up the ending well. So far so good!

Drawn to this because it’s the Adonis himself -So Ji Sub but I’m eating humble pie because Jung In Sun is the perfect choice as Ae Rin and the storyline has all the elements of a good action/thriller combo. Sorry but Yoo In Na and Lee Yoo Young were right to decline because JIS has the more of a maternal vibe and comedic approach to the role. Those 2 kids though......cute but are absolute terrors! Binge watching now to catch up. Very happy as to how this is going.

(particularly that scene where that lady was about to get shot in the back by a sniper and he just yells "nooooo!" instead of pulling out his gun.You would think with all the precautions they were taking for her safety she would be wearing a bulletproof vest!) and I thought the lead Jung In-Sun was Yoon Se-Ah at first. (especially when she smiles)

Raptor Oct 12 2018 11:32 pm This world is so f up. It’s indubitable that SJS is hot. We all know that he is hunky and good looking. We cannot deny his screen presence. He has star quality, and we enjoy looking at his face, his physique, his charm in the show. Yes, he is a star.

But for us to actually use his stoic presence to belittle the main actress, who actually has to ‘act’ and vary her emotions more than SJS, and now state that she is too plain to fit his hotnesss... it’s all so sad. We can’t even enjoy the drama for what it is without being so superficial? I’m not saying that SJS is not a good actor, but I think his job of looking hot and charming and delivering his lines in the same way for many of his roles, is easier than his co actors. Jung In Sun is a relatively younger actress but she has proven her mettle here. Let’s just appreciate the show for what it is and enjoy it.

It’s like.. netizens just wanna place themselves in fantasies with their fave hot stars and simply bring their co actors down, as if they themselves deserve to be paired up with them instead. LOL

The neighbors are hilarious supporting cast members and the fan service bromance between SJS and the male house husband is so cute.

That said, I do find the NIS woman’s acting a little OTT. Nothing to do with her looks or whatever, but this isn’t the first time I find her growling and snarling to be grating.

I just feel a bit bad that the character of Go Ae Rin has moved on too easily after her husband's death (+_+)(+_+) At first I thought that romcom would not work well with thriller genre. But this drama puts that wrong. I hope they keep doing well to the end. Fighting!

But I still thinks so ji sub is too hot for her or just maybe i'm being judgmental because sjs is on a whole another level when it come to all of his job.

But, still it's too early to judge as the love line doesn't even start to develop yet. I really hope they can build up the chemistry between them as the episode progress.

However, this maybe just me, but I can feel the chemistry between go ae rin and her boss though she's just been bullied so far.

The amount of serious & silly moment is really good too (scene where the neighbors try to stop the kidnapper is really cool). I just hope that this drama didnt lost its focus and dont end up to be milking the romance between the lead, like other drama.
