I don't know whether it's because of superb direction, innate acting abilities, or prior acting experience, but she's someone that audiences just live to watch. You can't help but feel a multitude of emotional responses to her performance. You feel sorrow. You feel empathy. You feel comradery. You feel filial love. You feel protective. You fall in love with her character. Any actor who can accomplish such a vast variety of reactions from the audience is worthy of your attention. I'm mostly impressed by the fact that she possesses the "it factor" which elevates her attractiveness from mere physical beauty to something almost ethereal. Don't misunderstand me! She's quite beautiful, already! It's just that she either possesses that special unknown quality that elevates her, or the production crew was so smitten with her that they couldn't help but translate their infatuation through their work. I watched My Holo Love again, with my 84 year old mother; and she loved it! She also found Sung-Hee's performance as wonderful as I did. Looking ahead, I will absolutely look for more of her performances; and I sincerely hope that she's not dragged down into bland portrayals of predictable characters. I dearly hope that she has enough creative control to protect her professional image; and the sense enough to not stray from her acting strengths. Wonderful!!!!
