His range is phenomenal; it’s hard to believe that characters he played are the same actor. He can play a himbo baseball player (Prison Playbook), a energetic club owner (Quantum Physics), a cold blooded assassin (Time to Hunt), a desperate and complex player who is willing to take chances to achieve his goal to stop his and his mother’s suffering (Squid Game), a down on his attorney (Yaksha), a perfectionist detective (Chimera) and now a psychopathic con artist (Karma). There is something incredibly genuine about him — no pretense, no falseness. And maybe that’s exactly what keeps pulling me back to his roles again and again. Park Hae-soo is my favorite. And probably always will be. I truly hope to see him in more series — he’s such a brilliant actor, and the screen feels more alive when he’s on it.
