Maria Jul 17 2025 1:19 pm I don't usually make a comment but really my first time to watch Jdrama. And the reason why I'm here is because of the Netflix series First love. Congratulations to the staff crew director writers production actors everyone involved..it's the best Japanese drama I've ever watched so far. I love cast special Taisei Kido as young Harumichi. He nailed it. He act so natural. I wish he could get more movie role. He is now my first love ...I wish him to have more mature role like action romance, it really fits his character..and I love his smile, it makes me melts...how I wish I can see him in person..it's been one week since I watch the series but the goosebumps still there...I can't forget every scene.

Summer Aug 05 2023 8:11 am First kudos to everyone; from the writer, director, crew members & of course the whole cast of this drama. I have seen numerous J-dramas and anime but "First Love" just touches and hits you straight in the heart. This drama is a like a time machine that makes you reminisce your youth and that special someone whose name and face will always be engraved in your memory. Hikaru Utada is a genius for composing the song & it doesn't happen all the time that the cast members are so in-sync with each other that their able to act so casually and naturally. I wish everyone good luck & good fortune. Ganbatte kudasai!

Patorisha Jun 25 2023 5:10 am I don’t usually comment but the Japanese Netflix Series First Love really made a significant impact to me—so I will take a moment to leave a comment for Taisei-san. I just finished watching all the 9 series the other night but until now I just can’t get over with it. Until now I’m still thinking about the plot, the tear-jerking parts and the magical moments with Harumichi and Yae (Young and Old ver) I really fell in love with Taisei Kido ? Help! He’s such a good actor (well, all of the cast!) but his smile and the way he acted as a rookie was beyond my expectations! I hope there will be more shows in the future that will both feature Taisei Kido and Rikako Yagi.

You did such an amazing job, I think this series will remain my favorite even if I'm 26, 38 and even 46 years old. I know it's gonna become my comfort show. Looking through the comments, this seems to be your first major role! Congrats, but also I would also like to see you be the main protagonist in many future shows, so I can't wait. Everybody in the cast did so well, I hope First Love receives more attention :)
