It was released by MBC around 9 years ago, therefore not relevant for KBS Drama Awards, let alone the 2022 edition. And I thought "Empress Ki" won a lot in MBC Drama Awards of the year 2014 -- including a Daesang for Ha Ji-Won? Also winning awards in Baeksang Arts Awards and Seoul International Drama Awards, as well as earning a scores of nominations in Korea Drama Awards and APAN Star Awards in that same year? So we cannot say this series is under-appreciated by the film industry. Strange, isn't it? AJ Jan 30 2023 4:04 am @z: I respectfully disagree. While Jeon Hye-Won did indeed give a decent performance in "Silence of the Lambs" (a.k.a. "Silence-d"), it was Kim Sae-Byuk whose acting was more prominent in this drama -- hence deserving her nomination. I would go as far as suggesting that Kim Sae-Byuk should have won the "Best Actress in a Short Drama" award -- but at the end of the day, perhaps the lead actress from "Nineteen Otters" (a.k.a. Also, Sung Dong-Il won best supporting actor for both If you wish upon me and Curtain Call but how come when I look at his asianwiki profile, it only list Curtain Call. Same with the youth actress Yoon Chae-Na, it was only listed for Love Twist but she also won it for The Love in your eyes. I watched the awards night again and that is what was announced. AJ Jan 05 2023 8:06 pm I know there is almost no way to please everybody, when it comes to awards -- be it in cinema, television, music, theatre, et cetera. But in my opinion, the panel of judges in this 2022 KBS Drama Awards -- with a few exceptions -- mostly got it right. Especially compared to the previous year (2021 KBS Drama Awards), when there was a thinly-veiled effort to "big up" a still-running weekend drama by giving it a lot of barely-deserved awards.
