Obviously, as a K-drama fan, I already knew who Kim Jung Hyun was, but I never imagined that in real life he was such a careful, hardworking, diligent man. The episode in which he cut down trees in just 10 seconds—oh my goodness, this man unhesitatingly gives his all, supporting the elderly locals. He's an incredibly helpful and hardworking man. And from now on, Kim Jung Hyun has another fan. Wow, I truly take my hat off to him. I'm pleasantly surprised by his warmth and his ability to help without hesitation. Bravo.

Their outrageous chemistry, their laughter, and how fresh, happy, and jovial they seemed—it's like a treasure in my audiovisual memory. For me, they're one of the few couples who have conveyed so much to me, and they didn't even kiss on screen. You can see why they're a match made in heaven.

Jade Jan 28 2025 12:53 am Kim Jung Hyun did it again, Iron Family established itself as the Most watched program of any type since its premiere date on South Korean television. It is sad that it was not broadcast simultaneously on Netflix, surely there it would have also been a great success and the entire team involved would have benefited by attracting a more international audience, but let's focus on the good: the program has been a resounding success that that ending open gives me signs that there will be a second season. Iron Family is such an endearing drama that every weekend, regardless of my occupations, it had me waiting for the subtitled episode at dawn. I will miss you Oppa Jung Hyun, please come back soon, I will never stop supporting you because you are pure excellence and one of the best actors of your generation, please continue to surprise us. Yuka Dec 01 2024 3:02 am first watch him in school 2017, the story was quite awful but he delivered good acting, then i saw him being casted in waikiki, never expected he could pull comedic role that good, then he changed too much when time press conference, i didn't follow him anymore after the scandal, then he went back to acting in cloy, somehow his popularity rose that high, then he joined mr.queen, his name rose to fame, every news talk about the drama, but i really feel bad about the controversy, wish he could fine someone better, none deserved toxic relationship, glad he still have some works even after the scandals, no doubt to say his acting is really good, he can delivered any character, good luck for your future, btw people say iron family is good, i'll watch it

I haven't seen Jealousy Incarnate, Bingoo, and Overman (the last two are hard to find; I'm in the US), but I will now that I finished watching Rebel. Every character has been done so well. So far since his debut drama (Jealousy Incarnate) as pyo chi yeol until his recent project as leading role Cheoljong, his character are never overlaping each other. Even as highschooler in JI and School 2017 the character is different. His future is bright as an actor and I'm happy how he's gaining more international fans since Mr. Queen.

First watched him in School 2017 and he pulled off the privileged, emotionally tortured student role well. And then again in Welcome to Waikiki and he was absolutely hilarious in that role. His support role in CLOY was tragic yet he portrayed it beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him Mr Queen and I can't wait to see him as a new character soon.

I really admired him especially when I watched Crush Landing on You and that's where I finally fell for him (saranghaeyo!) but even before on other k-dramas, I admired him because he was really good on acting.

Aside from that, the story is great and you will learn a lot about the reality of life. I became more interested in watching this drama because the first episode is just really intense and it will leave many questions in your mind so you really have to wait for the next episode.

The other good thing about is that you will laugh, you will cry, and you will be very thrilled especially when it is the moment of Cheoljong and Bong Hwan that So Yong is in person, I love the very intense chemistry. WAHHHH! I am dying every time I see them together.

I really hope they will stay together in the end if not Bong Hwan in the body of the queen at least the real queen because I don't want Hwa Jin for the king! tskkk (hahaha).

I am looking forward for more projects of you soon because I know that you deserve it! We will always gonna support you especially me! You are always in my dreams idk why but maybe because you are just too cute hahahaha. I love your smile the most. :)

But in School 2017, I think in the 10th episode, he uses his right hand to draw something. I thought he might be using his both hands, which eventually makes him ambidextrous. Anyway, I am in love with him. He is getting much better in terms of both acting and psychological condition, however his flawlessness never changes. He is still a perfection as he always was. I hope he will forever be happy and will be offered roles which can potentially make him peaceful.

In Mr Queen, I see a different side of him, I’m intrigued that I have to watch The Time(finished in 2 days) and now I’m watching Welcome to Waikiki. Waiting for Mr Queen for 5 days feels like forever that’s why I started watching his other dramas. He was intense in The Time. His acting there was incredibly executed. No wonder he had some health and mental issues while filming because I’ve read that in order for him to really feel the role, he’s really living the role even outside filming of someone who doesn’t have much time to live. It’s a melodrama so it’s just never ending heartache and very stressful to watch ?. Waikiki was totally hilarious. I’ve never laughed so much in a drama. It’s like watching the live action Hana Kimi. All characters were there to make you laugh. After Waikiki, I’m watching School 2017. I hope it’s a good one. Anyway, I am totally following Kim Jung Hyun now. He is such a great actor, worthy of recognition. I hope I will be seeing him play unforgettable roles.

It was very hard on my part. I was always anxious. But once I opened up my situation to my family and friends they were very understanding and helped me get back on my feet again. I do love your show Laughter at Waikiki. It's actually my favorite kdrama. When I feel troubled, I just watch that show and I would be calmed down. I want to thank you and the others for that great show.

Sunny Sep 22 2018 5:38 pm I remember the first time I saw him in Jealousy Incarnate. I didn't know why he'd impressed me so much because his character wasn't particularly interesting, but my first thought was "Wow. He has so much screen presence!". Then I forgot who he was until I watched School 2017. I didn't recognize him there but, once again, I was surprised by his screen presence and charisma. Around the second half of the drama, I read a comment mentioning his previous role in JI, and it hit me, it was the same guy! He got my attention once again, and I'm a toughie. My attention is hard to get because my head is in the clouds most of the time. I zone out A LOT when I watch dramas. I have to rewatch scenes in order to understand what happens because I get lost in my thoughts very easily. When he managed to distract me from looking at my phone a few times, I realized what it was. His vocal mastery. The way in which he uses his voice is nothing short of brilliant. Even if you're not looking at his face, you still pay attention to him because he captivates your ears. That's a talent that not many have and I believe will set him apart in the future.

His role in Waikiki was amazing. As the lead, he was the one who had to remain the most 'relatable' out of the trio, which is why his character was the one who was seen as the buzzkill and grump. However, the moment his character was put in the backburner, the show immediately lost direction. This was KJH's first role in slapstick comedy and he gave a more experienced LYK a run for his money. That's natural talent. Comedy is probably one of the hardest genres. His comedic timing was impeccable, and the way in which he made grumpy and whiny DG into an endearing goofball a lot people rooted for, was a testament to his outstanding character analysis.

He managed to completely strip off of Dong Goo's characteristics and make the viewers see him as someone completely different within a little more than a month. This speaks volumes about his acting ability. I don't think he needs to use method acting because he'll most likely be equally good without resorting to it. The guy is gifted. He reads his characters and sees the scenes in his head. He has the sensitivity to truly understand the emotions he's supposed to evoque. He pays attention to his body language and focuses on every detail. He knows how to use his voice to captivate the audience.

If he chooses to come back, I see nothing but success in his future. There aren't many actors who can play whatever role they are given with such brilliant character analysis and range.

I'll be waiting for his comeback (praying he's back as Dong Gu in Waikiki 2 because I want to cry tears of laughter this time), but his health is first, and my number one wish for him is that he gets a full recovery, and has a happy life surrounded by the people he loves. Get Well Soon, Jung Hyun!

Now I understand what did happen in prescon. I was a little upset about that. But,,,, You did really well in your character in TIME. I think it is understandable, because your previous project was really different from. We all know that there are some actors who got immersed with their characters which made them have to rehab for a month or more for recovering. Maybe it shocked your mentally. I could imagine how I could to handle such a death pinalty within months. It'so miserable.

I saw the press conference and I could register the coldness of the character. He is portraying a very dark character and if he is not like his character in real life it would be difficult to attempt such a performance. From what I have seen Kim Jung-Hyun is not a cold person he is quite likable. His current role is an opportunity for him to stretch as an actor. I applaud him and I hope that others will do the same. I look forward to watching more of him in the future.

The reason why i watched school 2017 was because of this guy. I see so much Mori in Hyun Tae Woon! Fighting Jung Hyun!

And ever since that scene where he took off his school outfit in front of the reception area, I instantly fell in love with him. After that, the following line from his noona (Gong Hyo Jin <3) was just hilarious and true. You'll get the girls drooling over that. XD

I DON'T MIND what the haters say about School 2017 tho. I'll still watch it and hope for the best cuz rookie actors like JH oppa as well as Se Jeong deserves some love too.

I see so much in potential in growth as an actor in Junghyun in future productions too and think he will become a leading man one day in K-industry. I look forward to his next production. Eunra Mar 17 2017 12:38 pm This guys is pretty amazing. He had less that 10 minutes in episode 13 of Rebel to portray an abandoned, lonely, furious servant and he killed it! He really shined for that small amount of time. Hope to see him in more dramas/movies!
