Cheon Seo-Jin (Kim So-Yeon) & Joo Dan-Tae (Uhm Ki-Joon) prepare for their marriage and merger of their companies, but they both feel unease at possible betrayal by the other person. Their teenage children are unhappy to become part of their new family. Joo Seok-Kyung (Han Ji-Hyun) is still distraught over the fate of her mother Shim Su-Ryeon (Lee Ji-Ah). Ha Eun-Byeol (Choi Ye-Bin) wants nothing to do with her new stepfather, but she still holds unrequited love for Joo Seok-Hoon (Kim Young-Dae). Meanwhile, Oh Yoon-Hee (Eugene) takes the first steps in her plan for revenge, by turning herself in to the police. The police determine that Oh Yoon-Hee is innocent in her murder case.

On the day of Cheon Seo-Jin & Joo Dan-Tae's marriage, they receive a surprise visit from Ha Yoon-Cheol (Yoon Jong-Hoon) and Oh Yoon-Hee. Meanwhile, Logan plots his next moves from the United States and Bae Ro-Na (Kim Hyun-Soo) decides to return to South Korea.

When they killed Logan I said not watching anymore nothing good happens In this drama and the one that pushed the girl over the ledge never caught a break. No one was ever happy in the story. Thought the actors etc.did a great job wonder if they all had sore throats from all the yelling.

anyway miss kim so yeon queen of acting well deserved award for best actress. I was really SHOOKETH especially 2 scenes which was seriously unforgettable and solidified her title as best actress 1. the scene in the hospital where she was going to visit her dying father and walked along the hallway with her emotions changing 180deg. 2. the one where she calls the other board directors(??) in her office with her crying/laughing state after everything went downhill and she needed support or smth like that like how does one act like that she's absolutely insane

Season 2.... May 12 2021 6:44 pm So I binge-watched S1-S2 and here are my thoughts for the second season after writing for S1,

1. Writing: In terms of screenplay, S1 was way better. There are plot holes that need to be discussed I hope in S3 like how Yoonchul survived. Also, I think the writer wanted to add more screentime to some characters but it made some parts of the story not very logical. Also, like in S1, I feel like the writer really dislikes our protagonists like Logan, Suryeon, and Rona by barely giving them a break and nice character development. But, thank you for writing this addictive story.

2.Repetition: I could predict a lot of plot twists since they are very similar to S1. The bullying narrative was not necessary at all this time but maybe it was to elongate the story to S3.

3.Acting: This season the chemistry between the actresses of Bae Rona and Yoonhee really shined so props to them. The actress playing Suryeon really did a good job at doing her double role!! I also really like the scenes of Joo Dantae and Seojin together this season

In terms of story content, Penthouse season 1 is still more interesting to watch. Season two is just too forced..... Sorry. I hope season three can be more interesting in terms of logical story ideas. Fighting!!!

Serena Apr 21 2021 3:05 pm I just started this drama but I'm confused as to why we're supposed to be sympathetic to Yoon-Hee. She contemplated and actually killed a girl just so her child could join a school. In the end she and her daughter simply could have chose to go to another school. Especially since the school in question was literally being ran by her sworn enemy.

Even if by some magic it turns out Yoon-Hee didn't kill the girl she still was willing to kill her mother to cover up what she believes to be her crime. Her greed to be among the elite and settle a childhood rivalry is why she's in the mess she's in.

Jules Apr 12 2021 9:25 am One of my favourite dramas of all time!! The suspense and plot twists are all top notch!! Can’t wait for Season 3. I really hope Logan is somehow alive but it wouldn’t make sense for them to add another “rise from the dead” plot as they’ve been doing. I just hope somehow someone dragged Logan out before the fire exploded or he somehow managed to pull himself out before the explosion. Anyways looking forward to more plot twists in season 3. This movie is not for the faint hearted. If you love twists and daring movies, then I’d recommend this movie. Don’t mind comments and just go ahead to watch, you’d be hooked.

Su ryeon really doesn’t deserve all this trauma; it’s too rude for her especially that it keeps happening to the only wisest human being in this whole series so that’s not fair. His death just won’t make sense. Pure people can’t keep dying just like that while the evil ones are laidback. @dora .. you’re right, she might’ve been having a nightmare about Logan, her guts says that they’re in danger by JDT

i hope before the bombs get blow, logan is running away and he escaped!! OR...

maybe before suryeon meet logan, she still in penthouse and dreaming about logan is gonna die and someone's gonna hurt him.. i think so, because in the last scene on ep13 when suryeon crying and screaming towards logan when logan get blowed up by the bombs... suryeon voices is echoed!! its like the scene of dreaming or fantasizing, The Sound Bro!! Everything that happens in this drama could have already happened in the previous life, or happen right now or even will happen in the future. And it's not only in Korea, but also in some other countries. I don't really agree with the way of people, which think about the condition or character of the country based on the drama or movie, because no matter where you are coming from, every individual has his or her own way of thinking, has their own character.

In response, Eugene, who plays Oh Yoon Hee, said, “No one knows. Logan himself doesn’t know yet.”

Park Eun Seok teased the hosts, saying that he heard a rumor that Logan Lee would not return, but at this point, it’s still a mystery!

Just for info, Eugene and Park Eun Seok became close friends during the drama due to their speaking English as well as having lived abroad.

When asked which of the 3 women (Cheon Seo-Jin, Oh Yoon-Hee, Shim Su-Ryeon) was closest to his ideal type, he chose Oh Yoon-Hee due to her being "tough and knows how to scrape by in life" and that "I'm really attracted to girls whose eyes shine when they talk about their dream. Those kind of girls make my heart throb."

Prior to being offered the role of Logan Lee, both the producing director and writer offered him another character role in Penthouse but found him not suitable after his reading 6 scripts. However on the following day, the writer offered him a role which she was not sure if he would like as it involved speaking English and riding a bike to which he replied why they did not offer him that role in the 1st place.

He was also acting in stage play Amadeus whilst filming Penthouse and has received an offer to act in another drama though it's not certain if the timing of drama would clash with Penthouse S3 if his character Logan Lee is still alive.

Anyway, glad that he's being recognised and offered drama roles. :-)

Kenny Apr 05 2021 5:27 pm I have to admit, as an American watching this drama for the first time, I can easily compare this to Dallas. Except South Fork Ranch is Hera Palace and everyone (including the children) got a little bit of J.R. Ewing in them. Even Cheon Seo-Jin is like J.R. and Sue Ellen combined into one character.

Coz both are negative comments..though, the acting skills of all the actors are splendid, one cannot help to think that the script is an overkill..in the sense that the writers prefer to glorify the bad/evil against good..whenever good is gaining an upperhand, it is crushed down easily by the evil people..is Korea really like that?where the rich and powerful can just have their own way? Bullying people, dismissing the good and the truth is always swept under the rug? Totally disgusting!

I think this drama will be nominated in many categories in the Baeksang Art Award this year. I think the best Drama nomination for this year: Penthouse, Flower of evil, Its okay to not to be okay, Alice, Kairos/Mr.Queen best actor nomination: Lee joon gi, Joo won, kim soo hyun, uhm ki joon, shin sung rok best actress nomination: kim so yeon, seo ye ji, shin hye sun, moon chae won, kim hee sun Best supporting actor: kim seon ho, park eun seok, oh jung-se, choi jin hyuk, kim bum I hope Penthouse season 3 as good as season 1 & 2.

Poor SSR is still suffering while seeing her close ones leave her. And JDT the real evil is still not defeated? He can leave prison so easily like it’s his second home lol. So we have to wait for the jerks in Hera Palace to be released from jail and get back at SSR in S3? Really hoped the writers could give SSR a break and happy ending. Also if Logan really rise up from the dead again it would be way too predictable and imo this card had been overused...Also if OYH really killed MSA 3 years sentence is really too little and unrealistic.

And also, Je Ni’s father may have it in for Su Ryeon for putting his wife in jail but why would he team with Joon Tae who recently fixed it so that he had to serve more prison time than his original sentence?

please note that SSR had originally confirmed to play the character Joo Dan Tae which would be his 2nd collaboration with producing director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok - his 1st collaboration being The Last Empress.

Within a month of accepting role, SSR had to step down due to scheduling conflicts.

SSR has definitely been PD Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok's 1st choice for the role. :-)

Lily Apr 04 2021 1:04 pm The death of Min Seol-A is still a mystery to me, I believe that the real killer was not arrested. It is not the first time that Yoon-hee is imprisoned innocently, the writer already hates her. For me, Seo-Jin's reaction was strange and she thought Yoon-hee would accuse her after saying that she remembered everything that night. It doesn't get out of my head that Eun-Byeol is the killer, and Seo-jin said he didn't care if it was suicide or murder (meaning what mattered was just Seol-a's death and Eun-Byeol's innocence)

Gift Willy Apr 04 2021 4:02 am SPOILERS!!! Wow ep13 is one hell of an episode!!!! I laughed alot and tears. Why Logan, why kill him? Joo Dan-Tae is worst than the devil. Is there any other word to describe evil? That would be the word for him. Life imprisonment is the right punishment for Joo Dan-Tae if he didn't have to skim his way out to do evil. Cheon Seo-Jin, Joo Dan-Tae, Kang Ma-Ri, Lee Kyu-Jin, Go Sang A will never change their ways. Even after all the drama they didn't see the errors of their ways. Including the kids. That is a shame. This is a step for Ha Yoon-Cheol to seek redemption. I want to see oh Yoon-Hee happy and with a man she deserves and who deserves her. Bottom line joo Dan-Tae and Cheon Seo-Jin deserves each other. The perfect couple. Hahaha. To think Cheon Seo-Jin still believes she did all her evil for her daughter still baffles me when clearly she was just feeding her greed, selfishness and pride.

He has a knack for making people think they did stuff. They would not be tied up on their way there. It was very much like last episode of Seinfeld. Would have liked to see all the woman and all the men in a 8x12 room together. Are there extra charges for politician guy for admitting in open court he paid money to prosecutor.. That woman is giving Eun Byeol pills to make her hallucinate. The judge should have added none of the kids of those people to be admitted into SKY schools or really any university. Academic dishonesty, lying, unfair practice is a bigger deal in Korea. Their former president in prison all started with her friends daughter scandal over how she passed high school and got into college not going to class. Dan Tae child abuse. So many more charges for the lot of them. It’s too much. Many episodes too over top. So much of the evidence would not be admissible for real.

The show spent two seasons building up and making you hate Joo Dante and throws a hail merry at the end. It’s crap writing. This is where Korean dramas go to die, by extending what is clearly a logical finishing point. It happens in the majority of the Korean shows. The story wraps up and the main antagonist got his or her comeuppance... only for the story to inject a stupid plot to make it an episode or two longer. It’s why I never recommend kdramas because they end so poorly.

I survived watching 2 seasons because of Logan Lee....now you kill him? T-T I don't think I need to watch season 3 anymore. huhu I think the show could have just ended with the ending tbh. That was the great drama anyone could have hoped for. The last tragic complementary scene I was expecting was that she was going to reject his marriage proposal (eventho I ultimately ship them) just because I see that Shim Su Ryeon as a woman that's too busy with trying to live on with her kids and life. Sooo....totally was not expecting that. T-T now I really don't have anymore reason to continue watching.

But Lee Ji ah, Best Actress Ever. Could really not have any other better actress for this than her. Thank you for giving me a thrilling ride, Penthouse. It was a worthwhile experience. haha! It really tested my anger but I lived thru it so to those that did the same, kudos to us!

I have never experienced this much anxiety, not even in this unprecedented time. This drama will be the reason I start getting therapy from my local therapist. Lyr Apr 02 2021 11:33 pm Why are some people saying that Na Aegyo is still alive? She was killed in the penthouse by Joo Dan Tae. The police came to investigate and there was even a corpse. Don’t forgot Oh Yoon Hee got charged with murder in S1 and in S2 the police “supposedly” did a DNA test on the ashes in JDT’s secret room to confirm that NAG is dead. Also it’s almost impossible for Logan Lee to survive that huge explosion. Even if he does survive, he will probably suffer major burn injuries and his face would be destroyed in the fire.

loved seok kyung’s character development. minyuk and jeni disappoint me. they and their parents still refuse to hold themselves accountable. they just keep blaming others. ha yoon chul and oh yoon hee are the only ones who even felt remorse.

also i am happy that oh yoon hee only got 3 years. she is very lucky. that seems like such a light sentence. up until this episode i was still in denial that she was the real murderer :( ughhh

The writer appears not to know or understand stuff like technology and its security (which I have mentioned in an earlier comment) as well as healthcare.

It is so "convenient" that the policemen accepted that the 2 persons - Shim Su-Ryeon and Ro-Na - were imprisoned and then whisked them off into a medical centre with inpatient facilities.

In most cases, the policemen would get the healthcare specialists to check on their physical condition in full detail - for example, blood tests, MRI scans, sonar scans, urine tests, X-Rays, et al.

These test results would then reveal if the 2 women have been truly subjected to such abhorred conditions (for 2 years in the case of Shim Su-Ryeon) or it's all a setup. The policemen would also have checked with medical centres and hospitals with photos of Ro-Na to ascertain if she has been a recent inpatient.

Based on story, no investigations were carried out and policemen happily accepted circumstantial evidence found by them.

I dread to think that this is South Korea's law enforcement's modus operandi but prefer to believe that the writer's storyline is handicapped by the vast advances in healthcare and technology or she is ignorant on such matters. This storyline would be accepted if the setting has been in the Seventies or Eighties.

However, if she really committed suicide, I say she deserves it not because she killed Seol Ah but because she failed to recognise that her daughter wasn't truly dead. Did she not checked on her daughter's body when the hospital declared her dead? Did she not conduct a funeral for her daughter? Are you telling me she did not have one final look at her daughter in the casket before burying or cremating her? I have theorised before that the only logical person who could have faked Ro Na's death was Yoon Hee herself but I guess the writer was too obsessed with the plot twist and threw all logic out of the window. but i think the next plot twist coming is about who Ms Jin really is ??.

Very careless in the direction and logic of the script and following the “explanations” was a terrible procedure. I enjoyed watching Dan Tae get screwed, he is a tough guy to beat, but he fell into a trap that could have been perfect if there were no technical problems with the creators of the drama.

He's better guy in the Penthouse drama scene and although his pain is fun for me, there were times when I thought his torture went too far, not because he doesn't deserve it, but because he's a villain and the villain's role is to go until the last resources he would have one last card to play as the communication with James Lee which was a resource that failed.

Well, that can even be shown in detail in episode 13, but if there is such an event it will not be interesting because the right moment would have to be put in episode 12 today because there is only one episode left to end. No more complicating and hiding things from the public. And this episode had a lot of ridiculous holes and almost no history to show. I like the drama, but I have to be honest. Today it looked like an amateur job. A job done in half. Both in minutes and in quality, literally, and worst of all, Penthouse is a famous SBS drama with an investment of 31 billion won, so they can do an incredible job, but they prefer to do shit.

I was actually disappointed that Yun hui felt the need to go after Seo jin after all of the development Seo jin had in order to garner sympathy. It felt like it was tacked on needlessly. Seeing Ju Dan te get his come uppance was pretty underwhelming. Spending an entire episode recapping the plot was extra. They could have used that time to push the plot forward.

I really hate it when Kdramas feel like they need to handhold you through flashbacks because they don't think people are smart enough to figure things out. It's a shame

On season 1 she threw her scarf and let insecurities go about her scar and past after that school committee scene and running through the school corridor happily with Rona. The police will then have to figure out who was murdered in the penthouse with her alive in the basement. I feel bad for the cops in this drama. Seriously.

yoonhee has to survive. i still don’t believe that she was the one who killed min seol a. im nervous because there have been so many people rising from the dead and she was saved from her first suicide attempt that this time she may not be lucky.

the maid is so creepy just like the joo family’s pervious maid who died. maybe she is somehow related to eunbyeol or she is coping with the loss of her own child through eunbyeol.

it was so funny to see joo dantae finally lose. the way this man kept threatening people even in custody like you just look even more guilty now.

also wow logan is a very righteous person. he is even going to punish himself for the bone marrow transplant. honestly i think min seol a would have happily helped him had logan’s parents not disposed of her right after in such a terrible way.

I don’t even know how logan set her up to be their housemaid. Most importantly, eun byeol’s actions is too much like Cheon seo jin’s, she’s too greedy, she’s a perfectionist, she even tried to kill rona just like CSJ did to OYH. Like mother like daughter.

Coco Mar 27 2021 8:58 pm I still don’t have the feeling that yoonhee killed min seol ah. It was probably joo dan tae, and yoonhee might have missed something since she was completely drunk back then. Here’s the plot, joo dan tae was suffocating her then he heard a sound it was yoonhee, so he left or hid behind the same place, yoonhee also suffocated her but she couldn’t do it so she stepped back and fell because she was drunk, then dantae returned and killed seol ah having her necklace, he put her necklace in yoonhee’s hands and some of seol ah’s blood in the necklace. He rolled it up as if she was the murderer. Yoonhee by the other hand blames herself, she just imagines killing her which makes her trying to rewind again what exactly happened with dantae. But su ryeon witnessed that whoever killed seol ah was wearing a long black sleeve, so the only onewearing wearing it was yoonhee, dantae was wearing nobles clothes and it was light. I also remember when dantae and seo jin back in season 1 were goofing each other by questioning did you kill seol ah and they were laughing, ofcourse dantae wouldn’t say anything over his dead body. But this kind of wrapping up is so dantae. I have this feeling that right before yoonhee commits suicide she’ll remember everything because this will remind her of the death of seol ah.

I do not feel like Teacher Jin is the actually mother, I think she is insane. Or maybe she is and eunbyeol's parents are not actually her parents I don't know. However, I do think that yooncheol will try to make up to rona after he finds out that she is still alive. Ep. 12: Maybe the reason they do not actually show yunhee in the the river (which would have been a cool scene to shoot) is because someone saved her. But again I may be wrong, I have no confidence in my guesses lol. Also Ju Dante working out in the cell...we all know what happens when they do that so im scared.

Just think about it, Seol A died not knowing who her mother is or the fact that her mother is right there in front of her. The same goes for Su Ryeon. She literally just found out that Seol A is her daughter a few hours ago and right there, she witnessed her own daughter dead right in front of her eyes without being able to do anything to prevent or even save. Like the poor girl was falling from above and crashed straight through the glasses and into the statue. Very brutal and no way of survival..

I remember a comment on this forum (in Season 1) stating that there are "potholes" in the story and he gave examples.

Let's be honest with ourselves that there are flaws within the story.

Like for example,

1. when attacked by Eun-Byeol, why would anyone run out of the building instead of running towards the safety of the backstage where there were many people around?

2. how Joo Dan-Tae's right-hand man Secretary Jo could so simply enter the CCTV control room to access the CCTV server to delete the video recordings of what Joo Dan-Tae had done? To be able to do so, he must know the server user-id and password as well as know where the server log is sitting to delete the video recordings. Is there no real-time backup onto tape of the video recordings which Secretary Jo would definitely be ignorant as he's not a technical person?

3. how could Joo Dan-Tae easily entered an ICU without anyone noticing (unless hospital ICUs in South Korea are very lax) as well as that when he removed the life support system of patient Ro-Na, there should be an emergency warning alarm both on the monitor screen next to patient as well as an alarm being sounded off in nearby nursing station (within ICU ward) which should have a nurse on duty at all times.

4. how could Oh Yoon-Hee within a matter of 30 seconds or less download a software (to secretly listen in on conversations) onto Shim Su-Ryeon's cellphone?

There are many more examples but suffice to say that this drama is not about logic and common sense but for viewer to watch and enjoy without delving too much into the flaws of storyline.

Re "choi yebin!Kim seoyon should win the daesang shes soooo good in this drama perfect for the role!", I feel that she did well but fell short of daesang worthy as she has that perpetual wide-eye look (that is, open eyes big big) and scowling face as well as hissing loudly when upset - does not come across as playing a complex, multi-dimensional character.

Let's just say we all have different perspectives on the drama and the actors. :-)

I find all the characters returning from the dead a bit unbelievable especially Ro Na because I believe any loving mother would double or triple check that her daughter is really dead before burying her. The only possibility is if it was Oh Yoon Hee who rescued Ro Na herself and safely hid her by faking her death.

Soo Ryeon's return from the dead also does not make sense because there needs to be a body in order for Oh Yoon Hee to be charged with murder. There is no way Dan Tae wouldn't notice Soo Ryeon survived unless he didn't bother to hold a funeral for her. The only explanation I can think of is if the person who died at the end of season 1 is Na Ae Gyo. Meaning that Soo Ryeon managed to locate Ae Gyo during the last few episodes of season 1 and were already working together. Naturally as the biological mother of the twins she rushed home after Soo Ryeon told her that the maid contacted her about the twins being abused by Dan Tae and got stabbed/murdered in the process.

As you see on the last eps of S1 I think the maid whose deeply in love to dan tae call the real na ae gyo and she still copying the looks hair, speak just like suryeon and when she founds out that her twins are getting abused she don't hesitate which we always know that suryeon is not that dumb. I do also think baerona is still alive and suryeon will said it to yeonhee when times come. I think what really takes these drama slow is dantaes past let's reveal it Sbs!!!

G Mar 20 2021 12:38 am Totally agree with Icenote. Apart from Min Hyuk, this season has been great for the character development of the kids. Well, Ro Na’s time was short-lived, but I still have some hope of her returning, knowing how the producers like to troll us or keep us in the dark.

I loved Jenny’s moment with her mother. The latter has been checking all the right boxes this season, once she realised how badly bullied her daughter was. Their acting is convincing and not exaggerated, and that adds on to the tenderness of the scene.

It’s evident that Seo Jin’s character arc is a major plot point this season, but I hope the producers know that whatever sympathy they try to build for her now doesn’t erase the nasty things she did back in Season 1.

Icenote Mar 20 2021 12:06 am Season 2 up to episode 9 has been Really good at fleshing out the characters. There are a lot of really important moments that redeem characters(somewhat).

I think an angle that really worked out well was how Jenny and her mother matured. They were so onoxious in season 1 but seeing how Jenny accepted her mother and the work she does was a Fantastic moment of maturity and growth. I thought the Shim Suryeon angle might have been the best part of the story but it's the small storylines like Jenny and her mom that won me over for this season.

There's something really wonderful about seeing a child understand the depth of a parents love and Jenny nailed the scene.

I feel like the only character who isn't delivering so far is Ju Dante. He's just so typical as a villain and no depth. They keep teasing it but always hide it later.

F course it was the man in the penthouse. Why would the guy run into the audience hall and not call 119 himself. Why would the police not secure the scene with blood all over the stairs? Feel bad for the detective dealing with these people over and over again. Why does Logan have RoNa’s mom with Eun Byeol’s dad?

But then he’ll find out that he’s Ro Na’s real father too, the show has seriously dropped hints about that previously. He’d go insane with guilt.

This is makjang to a whole new level that makes it almost unbearable to watch with the amount of sounds and ambient noises along with soundtrack. It's soundtrack is actually amazing if it weren't blaring so loudly scene after scene.. this is definitely a drama that I would recommend to those who find kdramas only aegyosal and boring. It will definitely keep your attention for sure

So in my own perspective idk but Bae Rona's character development is still the same (always the victim and kinda immature) tho I was expecting a new side of her you know like the level up factor (understanding the situation, getting stronger, mature, etc.) Yoon Hee (but nah when it comes to Rona) Jenny seems a bit different on s2 cuz' Jenny is getting understandable towards Rona but became the victim afterwards... M Feb 27 2021 11:44 pm I personally think the weakness of the show isn't that "evil always wins", it's the impossibility of victims coincidentally and favourably misunderstanding each other, the lack of their continuous unity - meanwhile few misunderstanding between the bullies/oppressors and more unity among them. It's reality where the powerful 'get away unpunished' for their crimes, but it's less believable that coincidences favour oppressors over their victims. To make the coincidences more plausible requires more effort in crafting the plot, with fewer plot holes. I look forward to improvement.

Ater seeing last night episode and the heat to get throphy, i believe it will be Bae Ro Na who fell on first episode. The necklace she wore resemble the one Dr. Ha gave her. Then the long black hair and white dress she wears (as shown on preview and her instagram).

Eun Byeol or Seok Kyung might kill her. Eun Byeol is saved by her mom, seok kyung by his dad. Actually no one saves Ro Na, she has nobody to back her up (speaking of previlege)

As much as i hate Ro Na, i dont want her to die in vain.

I do agree she was unfair towards her mom in the first season and sometime annoying. But she was envious and frustrated as she had talent but couldn't pursue singing because of corrupted adults. As a young hopeful teen, it is just understandable that she felt that way. She then discovered the horror of the penthouse and suffered like hell. Always bullied, living alone, harassed by journalists... She came back to Korea for quite the selfless reason : she wants to redeem herself. She wants to take responsibility for what her mom did. She left behind the happiness she always wanted because she doesn't feel worthy of it. And yet, you are still hating horribly on her...? She is not sabotaging her mom's revenge for Suryeon, she is avenging SeolA, and that's character development. I sincerely hope she won't die and finally find peace when the time comes...

ailasrpd Feb 27 2021 7:47 am i seriously dislike rona's character. she's like the very root of agonies of her mom. i find almost all of the characters toxic but rona is on another level of toxic. she has never improved since penthouse 1. she's so quick to judge her mom and doesn't know how to listen to the entire story first. if there's a reason i'd drop penthouse, it'll probably because of her. she's just so annoying, honestly.

also, i personally think she's the one who got killed next. her character have always been seol ah's shadow so in my opinion, it makes sense that she'll die next.

but i'm also considering eun byeol since she's getting a lot of exposure or scenes this season. like how seol ah have the spotlight at first and then su ryeon.

Su-Ryeon escaped from the Penthouse (and Ms. Yang know that but she didn't let Dan-Tae know) and her sister is there. I think later Ms. Yang helped the twin to escape. There is a high chance because i'm sure on the Hera Palace Lobby she is still alive. Probably the twin will open her disguise on the 5th, 6th, or 7th episode since rumors said Lee Ji-Ah will appear starting on the second half of the series. And I think the real Su-Ryeon will come back on the end of this season or sometime when the third season start.

This season is only 12 episodes so it's like a 32 episode drama. So after the good guys hit beat up in the first 20, I hope the last 12 is non stop bad guys getting dirt thrown on them.

Can't wait for secretary jo to get his punishment or finally betray Ju Dan Tae. Every time he gets punished is more comical.

And Kim So Yeon is awesome as the villain. She really shows her acting range going from serious to comedy to serious at the flip of a switch. She usually plays the candy girl but now she's on her way to being the new "nation's evil woman".

I kept repeating watch that funny kissing scene and the part when she walk off to the door while zapping her lip. Haha..i hope she will bring more comedic funny scene in more episodes. Seo-Jin is most beautiful and her acting is top notch especially the part of her shouting and holding her throat and the s1 scene of where she played the piano/organ after she ran off from pushing her father down stair-case...

ANDDD penthouse definetely deserves all the high ratings and big success!!!

For Ro-na's accident, I think it really is Ro-na and Eun-byeol pushed her. Although I'm very sad of Ro-na but we will have a chance to see Eun-byeol sent to jail, as Ro-na and Yoon-hee's power and confidence on season 2 will be almost as big as Seo-jin. I'm really hoping that it isn't Eun-byeol or Seok-kyung. I really smell 100% Bae Ro-na will be framed. And maybe if Eun-byeol is the culprit, Seok-hoon will come back with Ro-na and maybe Seok-kyung will FINALLY split ways with him.

Vi Feb 20 2021 1:58 am There are two possibilities: - Either it's Ro Na who was stabbed and pushed down the stairs, because I don't think they will kill eun byeol, they need the coucou- psycho effect in the scenario (P.s: Back in an interview on SBS after season 1,the two actors Kim Hyun-Soo as Bae Ro-na and Kim Young-Dae as Joo Seok-Hoon said that they wanted to act together in a Rom-com if there's an opportunity for them. They continued, because they didn't have a chance to show their relationship and the good love scenario as viewers wanted, and all what they had is just a date at school and holding hands. Hence, their statement indicates that it will be even difficult to show this story in the second part as well. - Or the second possibility is: maybe there is a new character that will appear in the upcoming episodes other then the women with the butterfly tattoo, and she is the one who is gonna die. ( crossed fingers for this possibility to be true)

Her being “dead” would keep her safe as a number of entitled people where rules do not apply to them wanted her dead. More proof brought to life. It may be worth watching. My limit was when an adult hit a student in the teachers lounge. Watched end of series in bursts to see if justice prevailed. Only to find 2 seasons. Saw a few real life parallels like the college admission scandal in the series.

thfff Jan 17 2021 8:18 am hope in season 2 the kids will be a tiny bit more on focus and in particular the twins from dan tae and the daughter from seo jin ... of course the characters of the hera kids (but seems like they sort of learned their lesson from being hold hostage that one time but tbh could change so quickly in p2) are no better than their parents' but i still hope they will give their parents a big lesson .... karma will pay back. also loved the character development from jenny at the end of p1!!!
