"Power Office Girls" (Shomuni) debuted in 1998, enjoyed overwhelming popularity among both sexes and in all age groups. There was no end to requests for a continuation of the series even while it was playing, and just three months after the final installment, it made a revival as a special. This also had a high viewing rate of 24.6%, and in January 2000 another special was aired, which also had a high viewing rate of 20.1%.And then, in April 2000, the Power Girls returned with a mighty shout to the chronically anemic Japan. -- Fuji TV
