Gumiho (a nine tailed fox played by Han Da-Gam) leaves her husband after he breaks his promise to marry her in their tenth year together. Gumiho then has a young daughter who is also half-human and half-fox like her mother. Gumiho then decides to take revenge against a human.

Notes

"Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho" will takeover the KBS2 Mondays & Tuesdays 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Secret Agent Miss Oh" and will be replaced by "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" on August 30, 2010.
Early working title was "Gumihoui Boksoo" (구미호의 복수), literal translation "The Gumiho's Revenge".
"Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho" is set sometime after the conclusion of the traditional Korean fairy tale of "Gumiho" (9 tale fox).
Filming begins June, 2010.

aina May 04 2020 9:04 am i remember watching this drama when i was in high school. i cried so hard until my eyes swollen ??. All because of kim yoo jung and her mom in this drama

pretty Mar 05 2020 10:40 pm Kim Yoo Jung may be popular in dramas like Moon Embraces Sun and Love in the Moonlight, but for me this drama is where she really showed how great of an actress she is. In fact, if people saw this drama with her before Moon Embraces Sun, people should be 100% sure that she'll do good in that drama. Here, she played a beautiful young girl, who loves her family, falls in love, but must be able to make the audiences cry and pity her with her unjustifiable death. She was able to really do it here, so no question that she would be able to do it in the other drama. But it is only here where she can show how scary she can be or how evil she can act as well (when Yeonyi brought Cho-ok to the well). Kudos, this drama is her best performance for me among the three dramas I've mentioned.

kaya Jul 14 2015 1:41 pm so sad to see young kids playing in such horrific drama. it's one of the worst korean dramas, starting with the plot and finished with the crew. how could the parents let their young kids to play in such horror drama? for glory? for money? for what on this earth??? deeply disappointed :((((((

John May 08 2013 6:55 pm OK...a counter review. Sorry ...mianhamnida I mean. The viuals, makeup, and acting are all excellent, but the story...while it starts out good....falls apart in the last half. The moral is that good people suffer and bad people suffer more. Everyone is flawed and must pay for their sins... and not in direct proportion. Shakespear would have been proud. I really was very disappointed in the writers. They could have turned this into one of the best Korean dramas, but instead it was one of the most disappointing.

FableCat Jul 16 2011 1:28 am The story is about how parents will do whatever they can to protect and save their children. Its really a touching and emotional when parents do whatever they can even though as ghost.

Every actors in this drama really play their roles well especially Cho-Ok and Gumiho mom. I was anxious when waiting for the next episode, wondering what will happen. You can feel anger, sad and pity to the characters even though some of them are bad. After all they are doing it for their loves to their child...
