- Actor Manabu Oshio was arrested on August 3rd, 2009 for using the synthetic drug MDMA, also known as Ecstasy. At the time of his arrest, he was being questioned by the police concerning a woman who was found dead in his apartment the day before (August 2nd, 2009). During questioning, the police became suspicious that Manabu Oshio was on drugs and administered a urine test which came up positive for the drug Ecstacy. Police quoted Manabu Oshio as saying "It is true that a friend gave me a pill and I took it yesterday, but I didn't know it was an illegal substance." [1]
- Due to Manabu Oshio's arrest, the release of "Yuukai Rhapsody" was delayed from December, 2009 to April, 2009. Manabu Oshio's appearance in that movie will be removed.
