Plot

Two sisters, 22 year old Shin Se-kyeong (played by Shin Se-Kyeong) & 9 year old Seo Shin-Ae (played by Seo Shin-Ae), move from their remote country village home to the big city of Seoul. They are amazed with all the trappings of modern city life. The sisters then move into the home of 72 year old Lee Sun-Jae (played by Lee Sun-Jae) and work as maids for his family.

Lee Sun-Jae runs a small food company. He has one son Lee Ji-Hoon (played by Daniel Choi), who is a medical intern, and one daughter Lee Hyeong-Kyeong (played by Oh Hyeon-Kyeong), who works as a high school teacher. Lee Hyeong-Kyeong's husband, Jeong Bo-seok (played by Jung Bo-Suk), works as the vice president for his in-law's food company. Meanwhile, Lee Sun-Jae is smitten with Kim Ja-Ok (played by Kim Ja-Ok), the vice principal of a high school. At Kim Ja-Ok's home, she lives with Hwang Jeong-Eum (played by Hwang Jeong-Eum) who works as a private English tutor and Julian (played by Julian Kang) who works as an English teacher.

The lives of all these characters make up the fun family drama "High Kick! 2" ...

Who wants to watch a kid screaming through 100 episodes, let alone beat up another child, while the parents do nothing! Then we have the drunk and screaming tutor. Add on top of that toilet/poop/fart "humor" all the way through. Not my idea of entertainment.

Park Min Dec 09 2022 1:35 pm Keeping Lee Soon Jae from season 1 is a plus. Jin Ji Hee was a little shit lol. There was some recycled jokes from season 1. Like the investigation/detective work scenes or the son who doesn't study have a sudden awakening of smartness and many more. Fart jokes were better in season 1. The comedy is a bit stale. Season 1 was significantly better, I gave S1 7.5 but this one I'm giving it 5 reluctantly.

As we were approaching the last 15 minutes I was starring at my screen waiting for the laughter track to play but it never did. What kind of hard core drugs was the director snorting as he was making the last episode? Absolute mockery! The director was truly determined to ruin the drama in any shape or form before it ends. The last few episodes were a big telling for the director losing his sanity. Don't watch it, go watch season 1.

Scarlet May 27 2020 3:27 pm Try watching High Kick 3 Episode 75 wherein Sae Kyung did a Cameo. It would have been nice if it was the ending of High Kick 2. Sae Kyung finally reunited with her family abroad, and she wrote a letter to Dr. Yoon telling they were ok, and would like to take her exams when she got back to Korea.

Except for the Tragic Ending, i really like High Kick 2, most especially the 2 kids on the show, always making me laugh. All characters did a good job.

JstaR Dec 14 2019 11:04 am Just finished this Sitcom. Overall, it's really a best drama. I laugh a lot and cry a lot. I watch it because of a page in fb post the cut for every episode. Before i watch the whole episode, i know that the ending are disappointed. But, i still watch it because i start shipping Jung eum and Jihoon couple. I wanna know when they start dating and the progress of it.

I really like Jung Eum's character. She's a lovely and cheerful person. If I'm a man, i will falling in love with her too. Like Jihoon, I'll enjoy to tease her to look at her reaction. And that's why Jihoon falling in love with Jung Eum.

And during their dating, i like how Jihoon still makes effort to meet Jung Eum after his surgery. I ship this kind of relationship. They always tease each other. And the moment Jihoon thought Jung Eum may be did a prank to make him jealous is the best episode ever. It shows Jihoon love Jung Eum too much.

But, PD nim, why you change the storyline?? After Jihoon and Jung Eum break up, you focus more to se kyung and jihoon. And you just show a little scene when Jihoon flashback the moment with Jung Eum!! It looks like Jihoon didn't love Jung Eum that much while he the first make the move in their relationship. That time Jung Eum didn't have any feeling towards Jihoon.

I really can't accept it. And sorry to tell this. But after Jung Eum and Jihoon break up, i skip a lot at Sekyung part. I don't know why i hate her (as i said, i already know the ending when Jihoon and Sekyung die together, and i think if she didn't talk about stop the time, maybe both of them will safe. Yes i know it's just a drama).

I feel pity a lot to Jung Eum. I can't stop crying. After Jihoon give his love to Jung Eum, how can he easily falling in love with Sekyung? I think it will takes time as Jihoon get more moment with Jung Eum than Sekyung. But he throw back the moment with Sekyung, but not with Jung Eum?? Please be rational. What happen to all the moment between Jihoon and Jung Eum? I still can't accept it when you end it like this. I hate you pd-nim!! You make me cry like crazy!!

But why, the ending has to be like that. Personally I disliked shin sae Kyung character. I also love Lee Jun hyuk and hye ri. I just love everything about this drama except the ending.

Very interesting person which i think i m not getting sick to study about him more beside yoon shi yoon. I was enjoy throughout the episodes. However the ending really make me sad and pain especially for ji hoon hwang jung eum..

Angelica May 06 2018 2:20 pm I really love this sitcom, I tried finding similar shows but none of them made me laugh as much as this show did. THE BEST! I just hope that they didnt end it that way. I wasn't expecting such a tragic ending from a sitcom. Its just that, why is the last episode had to be a depressing one!! Why cant the writer just made hwang jung eum and lee ji hoon end up happily and se kyung finally live with her family. I hope the writers had given them a chance to do that and the viewers a chance to watch a happy ending. ? But all in all this show made me happy with every episode of it. I love every single character who made this sitcom successful and worthwhile. Hye ri unexpectedly made me cry so much in the last episodes when she used to be annoying yet charming during the first part of the show HAHAHA. Hwang jung eum who made me laugh so hard during this show was able to made me sad when she cant even have the confidence to face ji hoon anymore. I felt the emotions that the actors were trying to deliver. I didnt actually feel that they are acting LOL the feelings and emotions they show were real to me, even the ending felt so real that i wished it was a happy one.I hope there will be a sitcom to match this one ???? *with a happy ending this time. And since these actors are most likely not to be on the same show anymore I'll just watch you on your different k drama shows HAHAHAHAHAHA I will also miss you ja ok shiiiiiii!!!! ???????

hwang jung eum n choi daniel Jan 27 2018 11:17 pm I completed this drama after giving it a break for like 2 years. The suspense as to who is gona have a heart break almost killed me. By now it should be clear whom I cheered on right from the beginning... Everyone played their roles to perfection. Well after watching chilbong and jung Hwan's endings... I was like whatever. But this ending reminds me that of fashion king ... such a ridiculous ending ... it actually broke me in laughter... well director ... ppl are definitely going to remember the ending but in an annoying way.

The only lapse I could not understand through the whole plot was, ji hoon is only going towards hwang but why is he determined to pay attention to se kyung...such a sorry excuse for a love triangle.

It was so funny...Though it is nice to portray some really of life, why did it end like that? feel like cursing that maid character (go away, go away!) ...and give the "bbangkku ddongkku!" to the staff TT_TT oh, the actors were amezebole. First time I felt so connected to persona, precisely to Hwang Jeong Eum, despite the fact that our personalities and situation differ so much. Also, I loved Daniel Choi acting and ji-hoon' jokes. They (HwangChoi) were the best with a great chemistry. (*^3^*)... Hye Ri, what a brat, but she was somewhat adorable,on her own way,...Sorry, not a fan of the "poor, angel-heart guirl(s)" thing; give us some change, please.

Saleem Bukhari Aug 06 2016 8:33 pm I love this show, and I didn't think it was possible to enjoy this more the Unstoppable High Kick, but I did. It has improved on a lot of aspects that I personally found somewhat weak in the first season (the Kang Yumi drama.)

As for the ending, I certainly wasn't expecting it. I literally got so depressed I couldn't sleep, the images of that last scene kept playing in my head. I don't think it was bad though, but I don't think it was great either. I personally would've gone to a happier ending.

I loved every single character High Kick Through the Roof has offered - I kinda disliked Hyeon Kyeong - with my favorite character being Se Kyung. I was one of the very few people who wanted her to end up with Julien, but both Ji Hoon and Jun Hyeok were great as well.

And unlike most people, I don't regret watching a single episode of this brilliant show -even if the ending was really heartbreaking- nothing can take away the amount of joy and laughter - even tears - this show has brought to me.

If it was possible to marry a TV show, I would have married it in an instant. That's how much I love this show. :D

edward Apr 07 2016 7:16 am I just recently finish this show, the characters and events are funny until the very end it became drama, the ending was predictable the sisters and the family will get separated and i dont know why the director and the writer made it tragic instead of a happy ending. Please dont blame shin se kyung.

Davia Nov 29 2015 10:37 pm Was laughing so hard through most of the episodes. This drama is for once really well written and does not rely on just the talent of it's actors. I actually thought the ending made sense. They were fated to meet over and over again and obviously had a destiny to be together one way or another even if they did not realize it. Or maybe they both did at the very last moment.

I only wish that Shin Se Kyung's part had been allowed to develop more and that she was given more lines and scenes! It didn't make sense as the story starts and ends with her. I thought her acting was amazing. She has such a subtle sensibility which for those who enjoy that kind of acting is a delight to watch.

Instead the story centers more around Hawg Jung Eum whom I find grating in most of her work due to her need to over act so that she can dominate every scene that she is in. That she and Yoo In Na are not embarrassed with the baby talk says a lot in itself.

I thought Jung Bo Suk was brilliant as the son-in-law! Lee Kwang Soo also! I am so glad that I finally watched this!!!

But, some actor's weren't very well at acting. It looked a bit fake. The most disappointing thing was the ending!

Why did you made such a ending for a comedy drama? It doesn't mean comedy movie's ending shouldn't be happy. I hope that it will end happy, like everyone meet again and live happily ever after. Godhunters Aug 11 2015 6:19 am enjoyed the series except for shin se kyung, character and actress wise. Man, her character is so irritating that i feel like slapping her and as actress wise, she is just that bad in acting. It is so bad that i feel sorry for the rest of the cast. I couldn't see nor sense any emotion and expression on her face in any situation.Even the 2 kids are doing better than her. As for the rest of the cast, they are doing great especially Hwang jung eum.

the ending is a disappointment though.

anti Se Kyung Dec 16 2013 2:15 am Finished it in just 4 night sessions. I thought of watching it because of Seo Shin Ae. I just love everything in this show! But except Shin Se Kyung. I don't like her and the ending, why it has to be so sad! Wae yo~!? And what?! The ending is Se Kyung's concept!? Heol~! I hate her more!! Daebak from Episode 1-125 except Se Kyung's acting. Didn't know that Se Kyung got the main role here. Though I don't like the way she act, I got addicted in this show. I didn't felt being frustated unlike other kdramas, of course, except the ending. It makes me wonder why they made the ending tragic to Lee Ji Hoon. Yes, I'm only worried about LJH oppa. Hohoho. I hope that LJH ended with Hwang Jung Eum, Se Kyung died and Jun Hyuk found another love interest. Or maybe, if that is not Shin Se Kyung to act as Shin Ae's unni, if they cast other Korean actress, I will fully accept the ending. Yes, I take it personally because Se Kyung's acting is so bad! A very cold face, no emotion at all, no genre fits to her unemotional face! Heol~!

High Kick2 is Daebak Dec 11 2013 10:01 am I'm currently watching it. Upon my 2 nights session, I'm on Ep85 already. This is just soooo addicting! I so love the atmosphere in this sitcom! A great refresher from kdramas that I previously watched. Daebak!!! I got nothing but laughing all the way! Even my mom noticed me laughing so hard while watching it alone (in the ep where Hye Ri acting like a cowgirl and make Julienne oppa her horse). Hahahaha! This sitcom so far got me all the worth to watch!

But the ending is just that? How come? Im not excited to the ending tho~ T~T

Oh yes, anyone can suggest other korean sitcom? From now on, I love ksitcom rather than kdrama :D
