KAW Apr 20 2022 5:01 pm Lee Tae-Kon is an amazing actor, I loved his portrayal of Dr. Shin Yu-Shin. He brought gravitas, sexiness, and a delicious arrogant charm to the character. You know he was bad, he should pay for his betrayal of Pi-young, but you want him to be forgiven. Now that’s skill. I could not wait for the 3rd season so I could spend more time with him, only to find this gorgeous strapping man had been replaced by a small inadequate caricature of Dr. Shin. It is very disappointing, I almost stopped watching. But I love this show and am already invested in many of the characters. They should have gone above and beyond to keep Lee Tae-Kon. His loss ruined the character.

I watch chapter 12 series 2 everyday just to see this gorgeous man and whoever takes his part in series 3 will never get me hooked like he did. This is the first time i have seen this actor in "A Well Raised Daughter" and i have to say .. he is magnificent (please forgive me sounding like a teenager) but i am in awe. I would love to see him in action more often. I will definitely check out all his other shows.

One of a kind. The best. There is no word word, he simply put the bar up so high that no one will make such a positive and powerful effect as Lee Taw-Kon did as a king in a drama.

Frank Aug 08 2014 11:05 pm It seems like he did not do too many series or even any movies at all, but It's surprising because he put a magnificent performance being king Gwanggeaeto. He did an AMAZING job. I would have mistook him for one of the top actors in South Korea. He definitely belongs there. It's surprising he did not do more work. Again, I think he did such an amazing job that it is unforgettable. He pulled off his role and he did such a great job that I wouldn't want to see anyone else doing it. He was simply the best.

Lee Tae Gon, you have taken this epic and personalized it in such a remarkable way, that viewers not only gain knowledge of Korean history, we fall in love with you. I watched this drama, and vicariously I was totally involved in every scene. I cried with you, I was jubilant when King Gwanggaeto was victorious in battle, I was sad when he lost his wife, I hated KoUn, and I desperately wanted to kill Fengba. Lee Tae Gon, I can only say this: you are the GREATEST.

It was an interesting historical series which made me and many of my friends in Nigeria understand the struggles and successes of the Korean people in the days of old. You acted your role with passion and character. I thought you were going to spare Gae Yeon Su's life after he plotted treason, knowing how many culprits you left off the hook: Murong Bao, Seol Doan, Seol Ji etc. But you shouldn't have allowed Sagal Hyeon to die in Gwammiseong. I love that guy so much. He was so committed to serving you. Anyway, you are so good and I love all your theatrics during the series. I look forward to watching more of your collections. Lest I forget, you Koreans are so good at making sensible movies. Do you guys have a school for such captivating shows. The film Ju-mong was also a great series. Keep it up. One love.

Hopefully to watch more of your drama like this one... I love watching historical very much, more meaningful and the history whether it is 100% without any improvise, both are still great .... just a thought ..... thinking you will marry the general's daughter instead the PM's....

All of the actors in the series should be used in the made for movie. I rate you and Oh Jueng 100% in this series. If this ever becomes a movie.
