Three marriages are brought to the brink and some even destroyed, due to lies and infidelity. Pan Sa-Hyun (Sung Hoon) cherishes his child that is carried by Song Won (Lee Min-Young), but his wife Boo Hye-Ryung (Lee Ga-Ryeong) refuses to give up on their marriage. His parents begin to view Song Won in a more favorable light. Shin Yu-Shin (Lee Tae-Kon) continues his affair with A-Mi (Song Ji-In), while he pretends to be the devoted husband to Sa Pi-Young (Park Joo-Mi). His stepmother Kim Dong-Mi (Kim Bo-Yeon) lurks in the background and his charade soon begins to crack. Park Hae-Ryun (Jeon No-Min) has left his wife Lee Si-Eun (Jeon Soo-Kyeong) and his children for Nam Ga-Bin. What will Lee Si-Eun do? What is sound engineer Seo Ban's (Moon Sung-Ho) end game? Will any of their marriages survive?

minaah Feb 28 2023 12:14 pm for 2 season they didn't really touch on Mr see purpose, what's his story. for season 1, they wasted like 12 episodes before we finally got the girlfriend storylines. this show is ridiculously slow which is why they have bad ratings despite having so much potential. like what was the purpose of mr seo younger brother, what was the purpose of chairman's ghost if he couldn't do anything not even scare her. again wasteful scene time

nabi Feb 28 2023 10:47 am the show is ridiculous, they dedicated the entire episode 12 of yu shin and pi young repeating the same thing over and over.

the only thing I enjoy is the contrast of all 3 wives, it shows no matter how perfect you are as a wife in mannerism and maintaining your looks (pi young) men will still cheat, no matter how timid and devoted you are in bettering your husband's career and family lives (Si eun) men will still cheat and no matter how early on into the marriage you are that the same characteristics of yours they knew you had and begged you to accept their hand in marriage but later used it to condemn you and justify why they can and want to cheat on you (hye ryung) men will still cheat.

At the end of the day a cheating person is character flaw and has nothing to do with their partner lack there of. it is greed, lack of self respect and self esteem, lack of integrity and self control. never try to work thing out with cheaters with its man or woman, if they were so unhappy they are leave the relationship and start a new one but their greed makes them want more

Atolycus Nov 27 2022 2:45 pm This series continues to haunt me. In spots it was a hot mess, and other parts captured the essence of being dumped by a long term spouse. Long term relationships are really hard, even without ghosts and truly evil mother-in-laws. I wish there were more episodes to wrap up loose ends (who was that child-ghost sitting on the vouch? Was he another Grim Reaper?). I really appreciate all of the creative hard work the writers, cast and crew put into this series. Being an ex-wife/ childrens mom (lots of similarities to the show) myself, I think they brought a lot of painful topics ot into the daylight. I will watch it several times I suspect.

Steffanie Apr 16 2022 7:27 pm For Sa Pi Young to hate her mother even on the brink of death is unbelievable and kind of unrealistic. It's not like her mom neglected her. She was just not allowed to see her dad.

Even young children would understand how their parent feels when the other betrays them. Lee Si Eun's kids' reactions are more realistic.

Dong MI and A MI are both nut cases. They're a danger to themselves and others.

Boo Hye Ryung has serious self esteem issues. She needed constant approval and adoration from everyone around her. It would be great to show her background story how she ended up becoming that way.

I really would love all the main couples to just split up and get divorces. Pan Sa Hyun, Sa Pi Young, and Lee Si Eun do not deserve what they've been getting from their spouses.

original casts Nov 06 2021 10:41 pm Please do not change the original cast for season 3. Sung Hoon and Lee Tae Gon must continue otherwise it would seem odd and strange for new actors to take their place! Script writer and PD to make a dra ma interesting isn't about changing new faces! I enjoyed this drama because of the original casts but if you change it, the story would be changed as though it is a completely different drama. Please keep the original cast. If casts are changed please rename the drama with a new name and if so, I won't be watching the drama anymore! Thank you

I think Dongmi was better acting than all actors here even though all the actors acted well but Dongmi acted more better because maybe her personality acting suited to this role.

Thank you for giving the time to Lee Tae gon and Park Joo-mi to take Yoo-shin and Pi-Young though the passages that needed to be said. The verbal exchange was so beautifully written putting on display Yoo-shin sociopathic thinking of self-righteous behavior. Joo-mi's response to his projection of blame and minimization of his affair, lying I think every woman who watched her responses breathed a sigh of relief as she dismantled his ridiculous self-centered view. Lee Tae-gon played the narcissus perfectly projecting blame with manipulated thought patterns. I was so afraid that Joo-mi's need to be the perfect wife was going to draw her back in when Yoo-shin accused her of being unforgiving using the unresolved issues between her mother and she. that was a masterful move so like a true narcissus to take the most tender part of ones psychicological make up and use it against them. Thank you for such a great episode

Maybe the writer's intention is to say that a cheater always find its way to justify his actions. But how come they are talking for one hour? I think it is not necessary to express it like that. Overall the story is not very interesting. There are many story about marriage that is way more better than this.

Penthouse III(3) actors and actresses beat the cast in so many aspects in 1,2, 3 series. Why? The writer and director did not drive their viewers psychologically in an abyss of nonsense and adultery circus where the husbands/sluts were the winners.

Season 3: Unknown and really don't care what the story will be?

It’s so interesting, some going for the wives just because they are married, some going for this couple and some for that one. Really gripping drama. Remember it is about marriage and divorce so all the dirty bits have to be explored. It was done so well and so realistically. Some amazing acting, Pi Young, Dong Mi, the daughter, Dr Shin, parents in law and more. Young lawyer acted the naive dummy so how did he end up with Ah Mi? That’s why the ending is so fascinating, it has you wondering and guessing - the writers must be having a ball! I hope there is a season 3 to keep us disputing marriage and divorce and if there is such a thing as Love. We haven’t had any incest yet, unless Dr Shin with his step Mum - but it’s all in there. Best fun of 2021.

"Makjang" in Korean, this typically involves adultery, revenge, rape, birth secrets, fatal illnesses and incest. The writer is excellent in writing about these type of stories that are painful to experience in life. The characters not the actors/actresses are pathetic in particular the mistresses and Husbands. It's a Dark Drama like the Devil Judge (the antagonists will get their Karma in the end, except characters such as Yu-Shi step mom/girlfriend and Kid lawyer girlfriend have not received their Karma). Fighting for the three wives!!!!!

Season 3 is yet to be confirmed and most viewers are upset because of the psychological mess within the Trauma/ Drama.

Unfortunately, Love, M, & D have a few good actors keeping viewers interested in their performance. Please remove Ami, Lawyer kid, and Seo B brother from the show. Fighting!!!!!!!

I often complained about the lame (or lack of) cliffhangers that the writers ended most episodes with from season 1 til this season but this was one heck of a way to shut me up. Yu-sin and Dong-Mi are attracted to each other because they both have twin evil spirits. Yes, Hye-rung is a piece of work but geez—how horrible is it to cheat on your wife and make a baby with the mistress? Again: gross. Si-eun is who I feel worst for. When I think about it, Hyang-gi and and Ga-bin are the worst of them all because they were the most backhanded about it. I can’t stand Ga-bin’s whiny voice or looking at her big, alien eyes. These are gross, gross, people!

I may be biased because I watch Korean dramas because they aren’t like US tv shows. They’re sweet and the actors barely kiss (until the last episode). But this is grimy! It’s like a train wreck. It’s terrible but you can’t turn your eyes away.

She was angry and disappointed with her father but yet she managed to maintain her calm and composure to state all the truth and facts without using a swear word or throwing tantrum. In the drama she is only 20 years old and she acted like an adult talking to another adult.

Feel sorry for the people who are just giving this a bad review , this show was a masterpiece it had elements that I’ve never seen in other shows, the old couple and their funny and cute and healing moments , a woman who after breaking a house feels guilt and how’s she’s Not shown as evil like most cheating ladies, the super fun rollercoaster ride between the evil stepmother and ami , pi young’s acting damn so so good Big Applause in that scene when her mom dies oh man I was just staring at the screen

Overall so damn interesting it started fabulous in the first season, dropped the later half and picked up so good in the 2nd season, the old guy who dies and comes back as a ghost was creepy but holy shit the end of the 2nd season blew me away Watch this guys, it’s filled with thrill and warm fuzzy moments at the same time Don’t let these comments or rating convince you not to watch it It has none of that annoying useless character shit we see in so many kdramas, tired of watching corruption and greed and desire of power dramas , same useless police officers but it’s sad that those dramas warn the highest rating and not realistic shows like this

@greatdrama the kids are painful to watch? Literally si-eun’s daughter acted so damn good she tells off her dad when it’s the mom who should’ve told off her husband for cheating as much as the daughter does but it’s the daughter that does that , her acting in the scene when she tells her dad how wrong he is was so good , the little brother was also not annoying he acted his age, we are judging child actors too now? They stand by their mom throughout the show

However, it is a mistake because Seo Dong ma is a young version of the Dr Yu-Shin. He told Gabin that he likes women, so it is best she let is slide. Oh well POOR Sa Pi-Young will get hunt again.

Don't know why she change and turn 360, Ji-a will need a lot of help.

There was not real surprise to the writer intension to anger viewers about husbands/Mistresses and how they destroy the values of family.

Nevertheless, It triggers the nerves of many viewers including myself because of society perception of what a family should be and/how it is destroyed by greed and infidelities' by all parties involved.

Who really made an outstand contribution and performance to the Drama was Park Joo-Mi and Jeon Soo-Kyeong & their children actor/ actresses. Bravo, Bravo, and Thank you so much for a great show.

Interesting question. Of course Ahmi with the cute lawyer made no sense and where was his baby? How did they arrive at that point? She should have been the biggest loser. Maybe Dong mi had a brain snap and it was her imagination after the scare by the ghost and strangling by Ji Ah. The ghost would prevent her getting it together with Dr Shin. Where were the Prof and Se Eun and the delightful daughter?She might figure in a season 3. Ji Ah became possessed - all in all a fantasy bizarre dream sequence, so fleeting that it was over after a fleeting glimpse of the absurd, making one ask if to see is to believe. Was that the plan? You blink and wonder if you imagined it? Song Won looked good with Seo Ban, she was a winner. Our heroine Pi Young ending up with the inconstant younger son was doomed, but did she look the regal part. She could teach him to mind his manners for sure. A Season 3 might unravel the Geordian knot.

Giving viewers what they want is always smart. Plus dream sequences why? More than one is too much. Flashbacks can be ok to help propel or add to the story in moderation is fine. People love the show. The season 2 finale didn’t have to be absurd in order for viewers to return.

Ana Aug 10 2021 12:10 am I love this drama! Keeps you on your toes, guessing what will happen next. My favorite character is Pi-Young! She carries herself so well. Just when you think she'll let Yu-sin have his way, ruin her, and dictate what happens, she flips it on him in the most clever way! All while being so sophisticated and elegant. Yu-sin has no choice, he's even more mesmerized by her. Si-eun is a saint but her ability to stay composed in the most ridiculous of times probably has a lot to do with her maturity, inner strength (her children), and personality. I love how Hye-Ryung handled her situation, too. I totally thought she'd let her husband have his fairytale life with Song-Won. But she twisted it on not just him but his whole family, haha! I admit she can be hard to read when she's crying in front of her ex-in-laws but we'll see what she has planned this time around in Season 3. Sure the ending might be a bit unexpected for some, but to be honest it's not too far off from the style of the drama in general. This drama is known to have a lot of "alternative scenes" in disguise of a character's inner thoughts. I quite enjoy seeing how it would alternatively turn out if they each actually did what they were thinking, only to be relieved that they did the opposite. Also, at this point I'm ready to see what the deceased Dr. will do to Dongmi after spending time being a wandering ghost doing things he couldn't do when he was alive. Can't wait for Season 3!! Summer 2022 can't come any sooner haha.

If that was intended as a prelude to season 3, then they should have wrapped up season 2 nicely instead of throwing curveballs within the last 2 minutes. It’s probably one of the worst endings I’ve ever seen, and one with no connection to the whole story line whatsoever. Looks more to me like a writer’s fantasy gone haywire. Either that or writer wanted it to end with a big bang hoping to get viewers attention and pine for season 3. Well, It’s a counter-productive move, since it certainly pissed off a lot of viewers.

Why the actress went to the ex-wife after her self reflection, regret and remorse did not make any sense. Where were her mistress friends that she was so happy to meet with and plot with about the husbands they were so proud to be with and wanting to get to leave theirs wives to marry them. (The husbands suck too, I just talking about the mistresses right now) It is amazing that once one sees their true selves those that you sometimes treat as friends you realize they are really a group of enablers of your wrong doings so you don't have to feel guilty. Wonder how the mistresses friendship will turn out if there is a season three.

Professor also had time to reflect on how he treated his wife and family due to their break up. He recalled his words to his ex-wife and what his daughter told him. He did everything for the actor for a year as his wife did for him for several years and the actor never loved him. Wow, what a blow to the ego.

As you can see I love their regret and acknowledgement of thier wrong doing. Even though the professor was remembering alone, he still felt it. This self awareness allows a person reflect on what they have done, admit it so they can grow and move forward. We all make mistakes but, sometimes the consequences are greater. There is no time machine to go back in time. There are no do overs. Those seeds you sow do come up and sometimes more than you planted.

So, have your pity party and then do better. I am so ok with recovery after admitting you are wrong this is a part of life. We don't always get to see all the parts of the mistake, the fall, and the recovery but they do happen.

Well, this is one cheater couple down. Will the others follow? I hope so or they will be stuck in their selfish, self gratifying, self righteous lives thinking their poop don't stink.

What was with the ending? Was it imagined or real? The writer loves to confuse us with those imagined scenes.

And why was the daughter possessed by her grandfather? What was that?

What a tragedy to destroy a marriage for a mother in law who practice grooming and Kid of twenty something practicing immoral acts with a married man.

Nevertheless, the other two couples seemed to experience different types of heart breaks. The theory that the three radio co-workers were targeted because how in the world could the three men commit infidelity at the same time. What a coincidence. Bad Luck!

Seems like utter gibberish for this finale without sense of humen. Without closure for any of our characters, every single player has a chop by the end and the character resolutions are non-existent and no connection.

What happened to Hye-Ryung? What is going on with the Ki-Rim ghost? What happened between A-Mi and Dong-Mi? Did Hae-Ryun end up alone or did he patch things up with Si-Eun? Did Song Won give birth outside a Sa-Hyun vision? Suddenly he married A-Mi Is Sa-Hyun really okay at work? Did the scandal just blow over in the end? And what’s going on with Pi-Young and Seo-Ban and how come she end up with Seo-Ma?

Alot of questions left unanswered for this one. In fact, I’d actually can say this is the most unsatisfying finales ever for me.

This ending sucked though especially if the show doesn’t get a green light for a 3rd season. There are so many unanswered questions and no real resolutions for any of the characters. The cliffhanger is either another dream or part of a sequence of events to keep ppl talking and watching. Instead of wasting time on those weddings, I’d rather have seen Ami’s father or even Pi-Young’s aunt.

Pi-Young and Yu-Shin getting along was unexpectedly nice. The actors have so much chemistry that I had to remind myself that the Dr. Shin had a mistress waiting at home. And with ghost dad invading his granddaughter’s body, this will likely be the catalyst for their reconciliation in S3.

The Professor got exactly what he deserved! He wrecked his entire family for someone who asked if it was okay to use him. Pathetically being kicked out while asking her to call if she changed her mind, Karma. Ga-bi was selfish to the end, but I did feel bad for her loss until she showed up at his family’s house. Seriously, call your new finance, he’s trying to be supportive.

I’m baffled why the writer won’t allow BHR let go and move on. I guess she’ll continue being scarified to justify the lawyer’s selfishness. The cheaters are now the victims who believe they’re somehow righteous! Like, how?? Luckily, there’s not much left to the lawyer’s story arc unless there are problems with SW or the baby.

The way the Engineer was staring at the Writer and asked her to text him the name of the poem was intriguing. I want them together.. Dr. Shin and his live-in loves are boring and overplayed. There’s not much left to explore with these couples and since I like the Writer best, I’ll check out now Before she’s reunited with the Professor.

Boo hye ryung was a crap wife. She made her husband sleep on the sofa when he was sick and threw out food made by her mother in law. She never cooked for him and didnt want a child (which is fine) but now shes envious of song yuan. She pretends to be sad in front of Mr seo to get his attention, and she really wants him now that she knows he is from a rich family. She doesn't deserve him.

As for Sa hyun, hes spineless. He annoys me and i fast forward his scenes. Im not keen in season 3 but I'm already invested and will see this to the end. I hope they do away with this ghost nonsense. I hope Si eun doesn't reunite with her husband. He got his karma when nam ga bin dumped him ha!

Nothing is as it should, and are the final wedding couplings “imaginary” and never happened like it’s happened increasingly all season long? First of all, there better be a season 3 since the writers have a whole lot of explaining to do. Too much time spent on the episode on the Nam Ga-Bin drama. This played out terrible, she used Park Hae-Ryun and his family. Even with her parent’s passing, I am no longer a fan. She and Seo Dog-Ma deserved each other. What happened? We are left wondering about the Park Hae-Ryun family and if he and Ms. Lee reconciled? What happened to baby Bada? Did the baby die and it triggered Pan Sa-Hyun and Song Won’s relationship ending? How did Pan Sa-Hyun and A-Mi meet? I can see them together. They are both very young and fresh. Song Won was too mature and too much of a woman for him. Seo Ban and Song Won - Not too surprised. Since he was adamant about her being his interpreter even after the birth of the baby and there was an attraction there. However, I thought all along that he had feelings for Ms. Lee? The pairing of Pi-Young and Seo Dog-ma is a total surprise! I would have never seen these two together. They’ve been in scenes together and no spark, they hardly even noticed each other? However, I would be happy for Pi-Young IF she manages to reform him. He’s young, good looking and very rich. Eat your heart out Shin Yu-Shin.

Again, are these real scenes or more “imaginary” ones that never happened?  I hope that there’s a season 3 and it returns soon since the audience is addicted now! This relationship series is messy and convoluted, but, isn’t that what real life is?

Final thoughts, I want Ms. Lee to have a happy romantic ending, but, she’s so turned off to a romantic relationship that I doubt it will happen. Too many questions remain unresolved. Is Dog Mi finally exposed as a murderer? Is Shin Yu-Shin left alone with no one? I find that unrealistic since he’s a good looking man. What about Boo Hye-Ryung’s plan, does she end up with no one? What about A Mi’s biological father falling off the horse? There are too many lose ends. However, my friends and I will be watching. We’re addicted to this show. Finally a Korean romantic drama for ALL ages and not just about young couples.

So glad I dropped this hodgepodge of deceit and deception. But it’s not the characters who have been deceived….it’s the viewers… they knew they had the viewers when It was clear that you would continue watching no matter what they threw at the viewer. Infidelity, murder, a baby( by the way did anyone see the baby), a ghost, sexual fantasies, psychotic stepmom, etc. It won’t matter. People will still watch because they desperately need to find the logic in something that is clearly illogical. And do we believe Season 3 is going to make sense of this mess. Well that’s why the viewers came back for Season 2. I can even see a Season 4 or even 5. They will milk this cow as long as they can. Have a great day and stay well.

Let's see, we have the dog whom the dad likes better than his family, Sung hoon trying on his wife's clothes, and a random ghost for no particular reason that I can see - all scenes lifted from New Tales. Instead of rehashing these same scenes, time could've been better spent showing how each couple ended up rather than just randomly shuffle the deck and then pulling cards and matching them up - again - randomly. I can't believe they hired and paid her to write this mess.

He is just going through the motions and really doesn’t want to bother with her. He was in the bathtub with her and he was miserable. You see him rip her arm off him as soon as he sees Pi-Young.

Hopefully A-Mi gets slapped hard into reality and loses Yu-Shin. Maybe his stepmother (his first love ?) will poison him (doesn’t die but she is caught)! Also hopefully Pi-Young doesn’t get back with him and marries Seo-Ban!

I don’t understand how they can complain that the husbands and mistresses are completely happy or unscathed by their disgusting shameful cheating. I am anxious about the wives not getting enough revenge. But I see it coming. If it ends without it for the wives then I can see complaining.

This show in no way condones or glamorizes cheating and whoring with married men. However no one is completely without faults in real life. Just some actions are unforgivable while others are understandable. Only things I would change is to do away with dream scenes and have more wife revenge scenes:) also possibly introduce another man for one of the wives to end up with. It would be cool if Dong Ma told Ga Bin he wants her back and then she dumps Hae Ryun but then gets thrown aside and Dong Ma goes with Hye Ryung!!!! Pi Young shouldn’t have competitors for Seo Ban and another man should be introduced for Si Eun. Si Eun is the sweetest and most down to earth woman that deserves so much more than she has received in life from that selfish loser husband. Fingers crossed for happy endings for all the wives.

The show is irritating because your expecting good for the supposed main characters which was advertised as the wives but 2 seasons and they are still being kicked around. Annoying. Fix the way they present the ads and the intro so people can decide if it is worth watching like fans of gold diggers and mistresses will enjoy married women maybe not so much.

K-DramaAddict Aug 05 2021 12:07 am I really want Seo Ban to be with Pi Young. Yet after obsessing I think the writer has thrown us off track and he really likes Si Eun! I think this might be very cool cause her X-husband is the most narcissistic selfish despicable husband that has zero remorse and has discarded his children. This is what has led me to believe that her Si Eun’s son Woo Ram has not been meeting his father but instead Mr. Seo!! That’s probably where he’s been getting money, finding out about engineering, and giving Seo Ban who cares for Si Eun information about her. Maybe I’m over thinking. In any case if Mr. Seo winds up with Pi Young it would be a good match. I just hope that Pi Young and Si Eun get revenge and their X husbands suffer big time. The wives need to live happily too cause that’s the best revenge.

Great acting in this drama! The daughter’s performance (Jeon Hye Won) was superb telling off her father. Would love to see more of ALL the actors and actresses main and supporting cast is phenomenal. Season 3 would be awesome! So many characters and storylines to pursue.

I’ve wondered if he’s truly in love with his mistress or her kind disposition. He’s immature so it’ll be interesting seeing how he handles the backlash from his infidelity. Let’s hope in the future when the excitement of his new family wanes, there isn’t another sweet and kind woman around to “counsel” him.

Pi-Young’s treatment of her mother was horrible! I understood her anger, but the venom she spewed at her mother made me cringe. When she blamed Yu-Shin for depriving her of the chance to apologize I smh.. Ugh, I’m annoyed that I agree with Dr. Shin on that point.

Totally agree with your take on BHR! I felt her tears were genuine considering what she’s dealing with. She’s scheming, but it doesn’t mean that she’s not hurting. I’m not sure why ppl think she should be the ONLY person taking the high road. Her husband nor in-laws are being discreet so I have no problem with her telling HER story! She lied and so did her husband, to her for months.

I also want the Engineer and Writer together. They seem more compatible. If it’s not the Writer, I’m hoping for a newcomer. I’d hate to see the wives competing for a guy after walking away from cheating spouses.

He learned it from his father who hated the *old* mistress until he saw her beauty. Writernim also allows the older couple to grow & shine.

BHR is a narcissist. She is also wonderful at her job. She cried because she is an entertainer *&* she recently learned she may not be able to have children. She's been publicly humiliated, which also motivated her tears. I love that she stood up for herself against people who wronged her!

Pi-young is amazing *&* treated her mother like Dirt! *&* she thought she was *perfect.* What a fall. BUT, she moved to a small apartment & kept her head up. The actress is superb!

I want the engineer to end up with Si-Eun. She is a cautionary tale for any woman who loses her sense of self for any man. She lost her birth family. But like Pi-Young she maintained her dignity (after a weak start) ?

Dong-Mi is bananas. I love her crazy self as much as I hate her.

Hyang-Ki & Woo-Ram are an awesome brother & sister duo. Hyang-Ki speech is one for the ages.

Not all wives are good or deserving. Cheating is bad but sometimes people are driven to it. Deception, selfish manipulation and lies are always bad and should be punished if there is no redemption. Can some cheaters be redeemed, we shall see. If your love is honest and good, why should you suffer for it? Let’s see if the writer has the nerve to let the right ones end up happy.

At first everyone was mad when they found out the three female leads were getting cheated on, then it completely switched and what you all are saying Essentially is that it’s ok to get cheated on if you’re a bad wife. No it’s not. Cheating is not okay so please stop making excuses for it. I’ve never claimed that BHR was a good person, she reacted differently than the other two, but she as well was cheated on.

You can admit that BHR is the victim in this mess while still hating her personality. That’s all I’m saying.

Altho shes no angel, but she doesnt deserve to get cheated on even, no one ever deserve to be treated like that, her in laws betrayed her too. From what we've learned from her characters back to sea 1, is no suprise if she at least would do something about it, in her part she is clever. Even when bhr didnt do press conference the rumor will come up anyway, and even if bhr didnt paint the situation, the lawyer and his parents has disadvantge cause the one who cheats is the husband. So eventually it will a win for bhr anyway. Tbh i would do that too if i were in her situation, shes a celebrity too, so its make sense to make that move. For pi young i wish she'll end up with the director, they are great together intead of bhr. But please she needs to be honest with her daugther and just get divorce already!

Anyway i think it will have sea 3, so annoying they cannot sum it up this season. The writter has to be carrful here. If they drag the story again, it will ended up like sea 1.

Husbands in this Drama were Greedy for Love/Mistresses were lonely and Greedy for a family connection...each wanted what the other woman had the status of wife. It can be anyone's story... except maybe you, who is flawless...but of course the disclaimers for these creative works always say they are not based on any real stories and purely fictional... but you and I know they often hit home because in actual life, people do go through these kinds of stuff everyday... what if you were related to any of these characters? you wouldn't feel a smidgen of compassion for what they are going through for their sins? It's not like i'm saying they don't deserve what they get, they do... just have some empathy or sympathy for the human situation... anyway enjoy your hurrahs if it makes your day.

She has lied and played people, plotted and was a nasty nagging wife and finally has never admitted that she has a damaged uterus and can’t get pregnant. She has got a massive pay out in alimony in the hopes of scoring a better husband for number 2. How can you just support her because she is a wife. She even lied on air. She’s vindictive. It is wrong to support wickedness. I want the bad, lying deceivers to lose out. There can be redemption, as in the part of the old 60’s couple, but some people are irredeemable. I’m hoping and hoping the writers don’t destroy the good couple who are pregnant just to make shocking TV. There are some fireworks brewing for sure, what will happen in the 40’s household, can Dr Shin repent and have the guts to dump the mistress and step mum- hilarious. I hope a calm ending can be found for Si Eun, how to make her happy? I think a gorgeous, kind, educated 55 year old from her rich past needs to appear! It’s true that he had an affair, he loved her and he got her pregnant. Why are the parents getting mad at BHR for the truth? ilee Aug 01 2021 6:02 pm Psychopath Doctor/A Mi/Step Mom story is really something. Saw step mom eyeing cup in kitchen. She may have poisoning plans for A Mi. Psychopath doctor openly living with and going out in public with A Mi when he clearly wants to reunite with Pi-Young. He is still drinking and in distress. He is now threatening Pi-Young with taking custody of the daughter because he is jealous and accusing Pil-Young of a relationship with engineer prior to divorce. This is truly a narcissistic sick man. Ji-a should never live in an environment with these 3 sick individuals. When the engineer was seen playing with Pil-Young and Ji-a in the pool I knew that would be a trigger for Yu Shin. Yu Shin truly has a water fetish and hates that his loved ones are sharing water activities with another man- some deep seated mental issues from unhealthy childhood experiences with step mom. Pil-Young should never reunite with Yu -Shin and that whole nutbag household of A-Mi, Step Mom and Yu Shin need help. I don't want to see A-Mi get what she wants by marrying the doctor because she is a manipulative immature she devil but on the other hand what is she getting. She is getting a lying scumbag of a man pretending to be perfect, attentive and chivalrous. I say good riddance. Pil-Young will relentlessly fight for her daughter. She is strong and determined and smart. Whether she is with the engineer or someone else or happy on her own, she will chart her own path without Yu-Shin.

The way they seem to be rewarded for their transgressions is appalling. As for crazy Ami, she should be admitted to a psychiatric hospital as soon as. I’m counting on the step mother to handle this situation. Does anyone else wonder why they have this ghost hanging around? Is he going to do something? I’m invested in the awful show now so I will keep going, but it’s upsetting straight through.

I don't like the Seo Ban, Hye-Ryung and Pi-Young triangle idea. And worst of all: Yu-Shin will use the situation to fight for Jia!

The teacher and Ga Bin have the most boring narrative! It's almost certain that Ga Bin will return with Seo Dong, and I also agree that the son has the right to see his father and doesn't need to keep visiting him secretly so as not to upset his mother and sister. Lee Si is still a mystery... but it seemed to me that Seo Ban was upset that she wasn't in the theater with Pi-Young. Maybe the two still become an item...

Hye-Ryung washing her dirty laundry at the press conference was the best thing about the episode! The lawyer and the pregnant mistress are getting what they deserve! And the in-laws are paying for being so petty too!

The writer tends to focus heavily on one couple per episode and with two episodes left, the stories won’t end. This week’s focus was on the lawyer and his family’s love affair with Song Won and it was frustrating to watch.

These mistresses are shameless! They have no reservations about sleeping in another woman’s bed within 48 hours of her departure. At least buy a new mattress…

I don’t like BHR’s scheming to marry the Director for the sole purpose of one upping her ex. She’s more compatible with his brother and since the Director doesn’t appear to be into her, it’s uncomfortable to watch. On another note, her press conference was well played. I was pleased with the fallout for her ex and his trifling parents. Song Won should be taking notes since her newly acquired family was also against her and her pregnancy. The dad called her old and said she trapped his son. The parents are just terrible people! Now THEY'RE the victims and the mom outright lied when her friend called her out on her cheating son. A red flag for me was the lawyer being doxed. I suspect they writer might pull the Song Won being harassed and baby being in danger trope.

Ami, Dr. Shin and his first love seem to be equally matched in their vileness, may the strongest survive! Pi-Young needs to be honest with her daughter regarding the divorce before she hears it from someone else.

The Professor is in for a rude awakening. His mistress will continue stringing him alone until she’s 100% certain of her relationship with the other guy. I also want the son to have unlimited access to his dad. The daughter has made her decision, but the son clearly loves and misses his dad. You know when the lawyer first went to the gym and met Song Won, he already checked out her ass or her body before anything. And as far as the lawyer he has been a wimp from beginning to end. Trying to rationalize bad behavior just doesn’t work in this case. Writers write trash all the time and get paid big bucks for doing it. The writer did her job. The actors did their jobs . To depict it as anything else than what it is is a waste of time. This is fiction loosely based on reality. The reality part is yes people cheat. Nothing new here. No earth shaking revelation.

Song Won Jul 30 2021 8:16 am @Sonya. I'm glad I did not offend you. We live in this whole 'cancel' culture right now. I'm cool that we can respectfully agree to disagree on certain aspects. I also think the acting on the show is fab. I'm definitely enjoying the mature stellar cast. I like the writing. I'm watching the show mostly non-judgmentally and going with the writer's flow. I keep coming back week after week and re-watching some scenes to analyze words and body language.

on a few points, on the contrary, I don't think Won knew lawyer found her physically attractive to that extent, she's 10 years older and less attractive than his wife, tbh. If you watch closely, she never caught him staring at her or a** in the gym at any point. If anything, i'd say she was the one definitely attracted to him physically since she kept complimenting his physical looks as they crossed paths and talked. And it was clear that the compliments were ones he liked having but was rarely paid by his wife, BHR. Maybe, that's where an elaborate plan to seduce him was borne out of.

Saying she maybe 'being naive', let me clarify... I don't mean, 'age-wise'. Although to be fair, in S.1 ep 12 or 13 there was a scene of her berating herself for not acting her age and being obnoxious around the lawyer... so there's still a point of some childishness which se is self-aware of and actually matches that of the lawyer who can't seem to cut his parents out of his every move. Tbh, i actually used 'naive' to denote 'guileless' as in 'doing things without thinking about the impact they can have on random (morally upright) people. Another word might be 'clueless'...that's the same vibe i get for the professor's mistress Ga-Bin too. But I think Won nails 'guileless' more...

Aren't the 'good v. bad' lines sufficiently blurred for the characters on the show? You think they're too clear-cut? So BHR is the angel because she met the dude first and married him and Won is the devil because she slept with him while he was married? I think the lawyer was otherwise a good husband until he wanted more affection and respect and a baby and then he cheated because an opportunity to do so became available. And unfortunately, he cheated on a gorgeous accomplished wife who has everything going for her on paper except she is quite superficial and proud. And he did it with a physically and emotionally strong and respectful of others, much older woman who should have known better than that but in actual fact, is somewhat childish too and usually doesn't frankly think about the impacts her actions and inactions can make on others. Who's good or bad?

So just so I'm clear: i don't agree with or justify the cheating, I just think it wasn't planned, and that BHR was too self-centered in the marriage and paybacks will come to those who deserve them.

What a performance by Park Joo-Mi and Kim Bo-Yeon, and Lee Tae-Kon & Moon Sung-Ho who are great actors.

Drama storylines were interesting, but lets move on to the light.

People even cheat on partners who treat them well... Even much more, if a partner perceives bad treatment from their S/O, it is almost certain that rather than leave abruptly or immediately, they begin checking out of the relationship and opening up to other people slowly...

No one deserves to be cheated on. And a cheater will certainly get their own judgment. But that said, if you are selfish/inconsiderate to your partner in a relationship, don't be surprised later when they also check out of the relationship mentally and eventually, physically... and that's also one of the morals of the story.

She should have had the sense to step aside as soon as she found out he was married. There is no romance in this... both are inexcusable in their actions. The lawyer's parents are even more absurd for imposing closeness to the pregnant mistress and putting the daughter-in-law in an extremely delicate situation. They shouldn't even get involved in the mess to begin with! The worst is the demonization of Hye-Ryung, as a cruel and inconsiderate wife, and now, with the divorce, as a freeloader for wanting alimony and accepting an apartment from her in-laws.

But what intrigues me the most right now is what's going on with the professor and Ga-bin. They barely appeared in the last episode, there was the daughter's comments about the wedding not having taken place yet, and then Ga-Bin was reunited with her ex-boyfriend. Maybe justice will be done and the cheater will be cheated!

As for A-Min, I hope she ends up in a mental institution along with Dong-Mi and that Yu-Shin has his medical license revoked for taking advantage of a vulnerable patient!

@Sonya, maybe you're right, and Seo Ban at the end shows up with a girlfriend... and maybe a woman who hasn't even appeared on the show yet!

Oops you get pregnant. It must have been meant to be. Isn’t this just wonderful. Forget that the husband is still married. Forget that the 42 year old woman knew he was married and slept with him anyway. The only thing that matters is we are in love and having a baby. Isn’t life grand. We will even invite the ex wife over to see the baby. Maybe we can all join hands and sing Kumbaya. What a bunch of crap. Wrong is wrong is wrong. Cheating is cheating is cheating. You can’t use a baby to dress it up and make it right. Yes these things happen but to try to romanticize it is just not right. The best news is that there are only three episodes left and then this dead horse will finally be put out of its misery.

I should have elaborated, but my response was getting too long so I ended up deleting some parts. I mentioned her not being a Counselor or Social Worker because it’s been said that she was “Counseling” the lawyer when what I saw was two people bonding. The couple needed REAL counseling, not advice from someone hearing biased information from one party.

I do think the sex was planned. If we’re going with presence of mind, I believe when Song Won became aware of her feelings for the lawyer, she devised this ridiculous sex plan thinking he’d reject her. Her “old body” comment has me thinking that she knew he found her physically attractive since the lawyer was shown staring at her as* on his first visit to the gym.

Given her lifestyle and history, she likely didn’t consider pregnancy. And yes she confessed, but it was probably two-fold. I’m certain she also asked for a safe and healthy delivery in exchange for a quiet pregnancy and severing ties with the lawyer. She’s not tempting fate, hence her frustration when he asked her birth time for the taro reading! She mentioned something about it being bad for the baby.

The ring IS a problem for me. She’s wearing a ring from her married lover! Yes, women are more likely to be ostracized than men and not only for cheating, but that’s a discussion for another day. However, it wasn’t mentioned nor implied that the ring was given to prevent her from being ostracized. The lawyer specifically said he was going to divorce his wife and marry her. Then a day or two later he gave her the ring. And unlike the other mistresses, Song Won doesn’t need to get close to the wife. She’s carrying her lover’s beloved child. I’m not saying she trapped him, but she’s definitely not letting him go.

I get it, she’s kind, considerate and doesn’t have parents. But, your description of her as naive and saying how people are just giving her things and taking her shopping reads like she’s 15, and not a nearly 50 y.o. who can’t say NO without being rude. She’s manipulating by acting like a damsel who needs taking care of; instead of the physically and emotionally stronger person she started out being. I liked her character and was rooting for her due to her backstory, but the writer has taken the “good v bad” theme too far. Plus, I didn’t see BHR lord her age.. Her colleagues are also her friends so I took it as her venting with girlfriends.

It’s interesting how we’re watching the same drama with different takeaways.. The writing is okay, but the cast is nailing it! S1 was terrible, but the acting brought me back!

All the Husbands were married that was a fact. Yu-shi who cared for his reputation & status ate his cake that is a symbol (cheating and affair). Professor have no wealth, but status because of wife devotion to her family. Character A-mi is a cunning twenty something who found a daddy with wealth (manipulative and not remorseful at all that is she is the same as the Step mom). Psychologically the Dr is with his optimal match of lust Step mom/twenty something sister Ami. To be observant Yu-shi is psychological sick as well.

The Lawyer Kid, he is normal. However, needs to grow up

They kept admitting that they might be wrong but they just like her easygoing attitude better than BHR's. even BHR insisted on seeing a secret pic of her... and asked her husband how well his mistress had been treating him for him to fall for her. Plus, I Actually like BHR overall and don't think her a villain but her dynamic with her husband was suspicious cos she seemed to lord it that he was younger than her and she found unattractive stuff to say about him a lot...even to her colleagues.

I saw Won wanted to move after the confrontation with BHR, but the guy's parents asked her not to. In S II Ep 8. From S I Ep 12 onwards, the guy stole a forehead kiss when she was drunk and then came to see her a lot at her complex and could even lie to his wife and parents that he didn't under the guise of problems with his wife ...maybe she was being too naive...

...but why is she the manipulative one now when she is just being polite because both her parents are dead and her only brother and his family live far away? If all this is just an act by her, i guess she is really nailing it.

I agree, I don’t think Song Won intentionally got pregnant; however, she Intentionally had sex with another woman’s husband. And if we’re being honest, she’s old enough and wise enough to understand how babies are made, so why not protect herself from an unplanned pregnancy OR possible disease. I’m not trying to be rude or harsh, but Song Won is not an inexperienced teenager. IMO, the sex wasn’t spontaneous, it was the eventual physical act of the emotional affair they’d been having for months. I’m not doing mental gymnastics to condone what they did when we clearly saw them BONDING. She’s not a Counselor or Social Worker! She was lonely and he wasn’t “happy” and just like his own mommy, he didn’t ask for a divorce. Ijs…

I liked Song Won and felt sorry for her, but as her story progresses I do think she’s being manipulative. For example, she has family members to support her throughout her pregnancy so why continue leaning on the lawyer’s family knowing how his wife will feel. I’m not opposed to some contact, but these people are shameless!

What bothers me the most is how BHR is being portrayed as this villain who deserves to have been cheated on, but the mistress is somehow not so bad since she “accidentally” got pregnant and because she’s really really sweet, she deserves this miracle baby that she conceived with another woman’s husband. I’m actually surprised that more people aren’t beginning to see her as a gold digger. Seriously, has she actually turned down Anything that’s been offered, including cash? TDS Jul 27 2021 9:05 am Drama Character A-mi is immature, but it happens all the time where an vulnerable 28,29, and/ or twenty something have intimate relations with a middle age grow married man. The character A-mi knew what she wanted and got over her head. This is why Pi- Young feel sorry for her because the immature girl fell in love one sided. Being almost thirty does not mean she is fully healthy psychologically, spiritually, and mature. The others character mistresses knew what they were doing as well with the married men. It is unfortunate that women/men go into relationships because they lack wholeness in their lives and destroy marriages without a conscious. They are trying to fulfill a need physically which is unfortunate. Clearly some of the characters are sick and unhealthy.

But she is divisive, becoming a target of criticism from viewers and the media for her excessive use of provocative storylines (called "makjang" in Korean, this typically involves adultery, revenge, rape, birth secrets, fatal illnesses and incest). Apparent the writer has done an excellent job to upset the viewers. It is intentional!. Enjoy the drama there is only three more esp.

Song Won Jul 27 2021 3:55 am @Sonya... you're speaking like Song Won Intentionally got pregnant to trap the guy. Some people are on this 'gold digger' trajectory with her and it's surprising. I don't approve (and never will) of the 'sleeping with a married man' mistake she made but she just doesn't read 'fake' to me so far... I read someone say she intentionally slept with the lawyer which i won't fight because i think she was attracted to him and figured he was attracted to her too and would get it out of his system after sleeping with her 'old body' or whatever....I think that was dumb of her because the lawyer never told her he was just into her physically...

As I followed the story from the beginning, she had difficulty getting pregnant and lost her previous marriage because of it. she might actually have thought there was no way in Narnia, she would get pregnant. maybe they would've used protection. i think the intimacy was pretty spontaneous as well. then she found out she was pregnant and the first thing she told him when she met him again was "don't leave your wife, don't cause any trouble, i want to deliver this baby quietly..." A real mistress would've said the TOTAL opposite.

I'd say if the guy and his parents weren't such eager beavers for her, constantly connecting to her, she might have left everything well alone... I mean, they repeat about a million times in the show how this pregnancy, is like a miracle, a gift from God and such...And don't downplay how much some people desire babies. it IS actually a miracle some people pay all kinds of prices for. Plus, isn't it obvious that out of all the other mistresses...she's held back the most? She never looked for any connection with the wife... she just has feelings she's figuring out what to do with, moving on with someone else was actually still a prospect though she was pregnant. the ring? yes, she could've returned it but what if she accepted it to prevent the ostracization single pregnant women go through in traditional societies. Plus, it was clearly a gift. And before you come at me, I'm not a mistress. I'm happily married in my late 30s living in a traditional society where i actually encounter situations like this sometimes as a social worker. I look at circumstances as a whole and don't fixate on just one event.

I liked the marriage between the guy and his gorgeous wife wanted them to work it out but in some cultures, you just can't get away with being a self-absorbed, materialistic wife and an inattentive, wishy-washy daughter-in-law...like she was. It comes back to bite you ... Filian Children are more cherished.

Rumor has it Korean actor Song Joong Ki divorced his 18 month married wife Song Hye Kyo also a popular actress for being rude and inattentive to his family members. Bottomline, the marriage can still fail whether there's cheating or not. An outsider doesn't get to choose. For some of these things, you maybe have to consider the cultural origin.

The first in season one were the daughter tells her father respectfully what type of person he is and season two when Sa Pi Young confronts husband and mistress. I watched the conversation they had but it was a bit much for me because I am not that patient. The other episodes especially season one. I mostly fastforwared through. Did want to see the mistress stories.

I am watching to see if there is happiness for the wives with or without a man.

Whatever you do always comes back to you and it does not have to be the exact same thing you do. Keep planting seeds and eventually something is going to grow. I would like to see this with the husbands and mistresses. Although, I don't have to see it to know this is a natural part of life. But it would still be more interesting to watch.

There are famous people who cheat and we don't really know how they live afterwards as people hide things due to pride.

This is just a story line some things are true some I cannot visualize, but so what. I am thankful this is not my life. I don't comprehend some of the comments due to my own beliefs. Everyone can have their own opinion whether it is in good judgment or not. LOL

I agree, the initial confrontations were necessary, but the follow-ups are problematic since the wives were being mind-fuc*ked! @TDS, the YouTube recommendation is great, the guy is spot on.

ALL of the mistresses are unstable and manipulative, including the sweet demure Song Won. You sleep with the man you’re supposedly counseling to discourage his growing feelings?!?! You get pregnant with the man/child’s baby knowing how much you BOTH wanted kids and expect him to walk away. You threaten to move if he continues visiting, yet you stay while bonding with his parents, wearing his promise ring and staring longingly at your family photo. Manipulation!

Ami IS mental, but everyone is rewarding her by not saying NO. She’s out manipulating the psychiatrist! I don’t like her, but I’m no longer upset. I’ve actually turned my frustration on Pi-Young for sitting through that foolishness and not blocking her calls afterwards. I wish she’d let those ppl kill each other and stop responding unless it’s about her child.

I don’t understand why the writer has the mistresses asking the wives to be friends. She did this with the Professor’s mistress and now BHR is asking to be invited over when the baby is born. It seems cruel! Idk, someone said it’s because she’s a former mistress so maybe she’s writing from her own perspective. I’d hoped this would be the final season, but the show is gaining momentum so I’m certain they’ll be S3.

Ga bin and Song Wons situations as mistresses May wrap up nicely but there is still room for plenty regret and I was happy Sa Hyun stated that he had been a lousy husband and a terrible son. I’m still looking for that kind of epiphany for Yu shin ?.

I’m happy all the wives are moving on or in the process of moving on overall. It’s good self-care. And it’s an opportunity to maybe meet someone way better than their exes. All these stories are tough but they really do happen a lot in real life so I’m not surprised…. I wish all marriages would remain Faithful till everyone is 80!

Seeing Dr Shin stuck between his mistress and lusting step mum is hilarious while he just regrets everything and wants Pi Young back. Good punishment and fat chance, but you never know. SEO Ban in the background. The good and loving people look like they might get a happy ending, which would be heart warming. The cheating Prof is really going to regret everything when his cheating mistress cheats on the cheater with her old boyfriend! Ah Mi’s Dad has fallen off his horse, so that’s a brilliant twist.

I’m really liking the fact the relationships are staying so true to life. A successful Psychiatrist with a perfect wife gets lured into cheating for some extra excitement. His step mother lusts after him and killed his Dad. His girlfriend is a child fiend and he is stuck at home between the 2 of them bitterly regretting his actions - perfect punishment. Ah mi’s Dad has fallen from a horse which may put a further spanned in those works - great! The 30’s couple look set to divorce, which would be perfect as she gets a million dollar apartment, money and the chance to aim higher for her next catch. She is a calculating hard case. This would give the cute young lawyer a chance to be with his older love and baby and make the 60’s couple happy and all form the perfect family. Some satisfying good to come out of all the deception. The Prof gave up a lovely older wife, Ye Jung so well acted, to go with a younger woman who doesn’t love him, is just using him. He is going to be shattered when she goes back to the younger Seo, which he deserves. So many sub plots to this drama, which I love. It is obviously super easy to get a divorce in Korea, but at least the wife has to be supported. I respect the fact that the show is realistic, sometimes there is redemption and forgiveness in real life and second marriages can be successful. What is not successful is lies, greed and deception, it will come back and bite you in the end. Karma. I can’t wait for the next episodes to see if the right people get their just desserts, some love turns out to be real and the children don’t suffer. All 3 children are really good little actors, and Sung Hoon, Pi Young, naughty Dr Shin, bad step Mum even cool Seo Ban is well portrayed. Congratulations everyone.

But I think the last three episodes will be about ex-wives moving on with their lives... I hope so! Enough of suffering!! I also want all cheaters and mistresses to have an unhappy ending!! A Mi in a mental institution would be great to start with!!! And I have my doubts about Seo Ban really liking women...

Wonder how long Psychotic Ami will depend on her middle age daddy? Why is she calling his ex wife? Drama confused to the point of letting the viewers understand why the wives need to be abused by their ex-girlfriends.

Please clean up the story and make sense of people living whole lives again!

Not give a homewrecker a chance to destroy a happy family because of their evil scheme. What I am concern about this infidelity drama is it will set an example to those people who do things inappropriately regardless of the consequences of their action. It is not okay. It is not appropriate, more so, it is not acceptable.

Value of characters and how they foreshadow consequences of behavior: The ghost dad symbolizes established belief of masculinity that all men are the same - a dying way of looking at men as sex-focused animals. The engineer represents the growing thinking that healthy men seek deeper connections just like healthy women. The stepmother represents the emptiness of women using sexiness as a way to validate womanhood/ Song uses pregnancy the same way. Both are unstable, unhealthy women. The lawyers parents are interesting in that they are proving that it’s never too late to evolve into people with more substance. I do have my thoughts on how the writers will make characters arc and which ones will change. Excited to see if I’ve guessed right.

But there are lots of married men and women that think it’s okay to date married people, be a home wrecker and still feel entitled to happiness. Sometimes I forget that some of these comments come from mistresses or people that have no qualms about breaking up a family so it makes sense that they would support the cheaters.

Father Dr. Shin was praised as a devoted husband and not cheating once though his second wife is the wicked one. But when he died and becomes ghost and invisible to others, he keep looking and touching women in pool or everywhere. He become a pervert ghost showing his ture colors. I interpreted the ghost scenes like that. Professor and Dr. Shin are equally bad. For the mistress, Nam Gabin and Ami same level wickedness, home wreckers.

Despite the pain of the past, I truly enjoy this show.

I hate A Mi Jul 25 2021 3:13 am The recent episode was just so infuriating because of A Mi ah. Is she 12? I seriously hated her conversation with Sa Pi Young. It’s definitely clear that she has no remorse and what? A Mi said that she doesn’t hate Sa Pi young?? Why would you hate on the girl whose life and marriage you ruined?? She’s whack and she needs to go to a mental hospital. Shin Yu Shin the worst!

I’m also seriously hoping that Seo Dong Ma doesn’t go back to Nam Ga Bin. A Mi is the worst in terms of character but Nam Ga Bin’s reasoning of helping someone break up a family just cause she wanted her ex boyfriend to see her be happy with a baby and a man is not it. She doesn’t deserved happiness and the other two mistress dont deserve happiness either. (It should be obvious that the husbands shouldn’t deserve happiness either way)

As for the preview aHH I wanted Boo Hye Ryung to end up with Seo Dong Ma and for Seo Ban to end up with Sa Pi Young. Shin Yu Shin will go crazy if he sees her with another man.

Also good on Boo Hye Ryung for asking for alimony. Her husband cheated on her and got his mistress pregnant and not to mention she’s a celebrity where everyone has eyes on her, it’s the least they could do. She’s divorcing him and ruining her reputation but for her in laws even the alimony itself is ridiculous wtf? You can clearly see where the lawyer got his bad personality from lol

I loved seeing Hye-Ryung move on. I especially liked the fact -- as some of you also said -- that she will not leave the scene empty-handed! And I hope Sa-Hyun still pays the price of infidelity! He definitely doesn't deserve to be happy. I don't care that he's all in love and happy to be a father. The series is overly glamorizing his relationship with Song Won. They don't deserve a happy ending!

A Mi is even worse than I imagined. It's a nutscase of the worst kind. She reminds me a lot of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Yu-Shin is in hell living with two crazy women... and it's well deserved! I agree with some comments I read about his lack of respect for allowing his mistress to move so quickly, especially when his daughter doesn't even know what's going on! Pi-Young and Ji-A are definitely better off without him.

I also don't want the writer to accept the professor back, considering the possibility of Ga Bim reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend. But I think Si-Eun already hinted that there's no going back when her daughter asked about the possibility. He doesn't deserve the family he had. Do you remember when he dragged his daughter from Ga Bim's apartment? I totally thought the girl would fall from stairs that day!

Does anyone know who fell off the horse at the beginning of the episode? Was it a flashforward of Yu-Shin fainting from weakness? Does he die or become invalid?? Wow, that would be a twist!

Disapointed Jul 24 2021 2:16 pm I'd hope the wives don't get back together with the husbands. They're all bad but the worst of all is the psychiatrist.

The grandpa scenes don't add anything to the drama (although must of the scenes are so long and boring and the good ones don't last long) he needs to go.

The professor's wife and the mistress should end up with the brothers and he alone, as for the other two wives as much as I dislike it I thing the will get back together with their husbands.

I have a feeling this drama will drag to a third season unless they wrap it up in the few episodes left; seeing how long the dialogues are and how many of the scenes are useless, I doubt it will happen (too many scenes about the mistresses and to many details of their relationship with the husbands).

I don't like the drama but I am very curious to see how the wives move on. Looking forward to see the development of the drama.

The professor he doesn’t deserve to have his family back; it was shameful how he forced his wife to sign divorce papers and treated his kids like strangers. The lawyer wife she will be fine because the parents hated her and it was a toxic relationship. Instead of the probability of getting back with their wives, they should show how the wives are stronger and moved on to a better life.

Ami was very disrespectful and selfish throughout the entire conversation, but Pi-Young sat there listening like a fool. Dr. Shin is actually worse than I thought! He has no respect for his family or their home. Your wife and daughter has moved into an apartment as a result of your cheating and you allow the mistress to move into their home. He should not allowed her to stay, but I guess he’s not sleeping in a empty bed ?

I’ve read viewers mentioning foreshadowing.. I really hope the writer is not going to reunite the Writer with the Professor once he’s dumped by his mistress.

Children want to be with their biological parents if feasible. The lawyer loves Song Won, she cares for hm but is just trying to do the right thing. The parents love Song Won and she is demur and respectful. Why can’t we end with one successful family at least?The lawyer’s marriage is incompatible, ditch it. Perhaps Pi young’s marriage will survive and the step mum will have a heart attack. What about Pi young’s ghastly Aunt? Some outstanding performances. Pi Young, evil step mum, Dr Shin, young lawyer, older parents in law. Writer amazing. Can’t wait for next episodes.

He is a despicable scum because he's using his knowledge as a psychologist (or is he supposed to be a psychiatrist -- because if he is, he's crazier than all of his patients combined) to undermine her, belittle her, insult her, and manipulate her.

Ep. 12 is super dragging, but like one of the commenters here said, this is what usually happens between couples -- there is a long drawn out argument like this, unraveling each and every thread of what happened between them and the affair.

I can't honestly tell if he's sincere in all that he's saying to her (his face doesn't look sincere hahahaha), especially since he keeps justifying his wrongdoing. He's still kind of an a$$#073 though. When Pi-Young said, "We could have had a good life together," I wanted to throw stuff at Yu-Shin! Hahahahaha.

Really good acting from both of them, and really sticking to their characters' qualities.

Why? They are the lead couple in the Drama and were outstanding in their performance this year. The other couples story was unrealistic. Nevertheless, the cast and crew were convincing to tell the heart & soul of adultery is sexual intercourse by a married person with someone other than their spouse while infidelity is unfaithfulness in marriage: practice or instance of having a sexual or romantic affair with someone other than one's spouse, without the consent of the spouse. We all know the stories well. Fighting!

Kim Jul 21 2021 5:13 am To me, this show is far more realistic about the complications of male-female love than most k-dramas have ever been. Great storytelling. Ngl I am surrounded with real-life situations right now like this drama more than I would like to admit... It’s almost a forgone conclusion for the wealthy married high-octane professional men in my part of the world to have a wife And a mistress to boot… It is such a grimy open secret. Men cheat and women cheat too. But let’s thank the men of this show for throwing more light on the Whys of cheating…cos everybody Hates a cheater…but what if there is actually a real reason why they cheat… So the bottomline, don’t follow ‘love’ all the time cos it can be very messy. I have to give the writers much props here because they have managed to make a subject as bad as 'cheating' not super gross and non-cringe-y to an extent. There is always so much more water under the bridge than we sometimes realize.... The way the subject has been tackled to me, brings up so much sincerity and human weakness... the morality lines are blurred over and over and the men are seen being selfish for just a short bit with a lot of long-term heartbreak and consequences unfortunately. I say, let's defend ALL the women here but call a Spade a Spade. The way the mistresses have been written is a bit too favorable. But it’s nice to tell the story like they are humans too. No one in a steady relationship (or in their right mind) condones adultery or cheating but sometimes there are reasons, (whether stupid, illogical or not) that these things happen. People say Feelings are a beast BUT try not to cheat especially when vows are involved. If the relationship is that Bad, get out of it First then pursue other interests. Thanks to the show though, I now have some Classfications for some cheaters. SPOILER ALERT…. In the completely senseless cheat category, we have Hae-Ryun and Yu-sin. For Yu-sin, think about it, he has a Successful wife so secure and overly confident in him...Sa Pi-Young. That situation tends to make men want to eat their cake and have it. She said he was the perfect husband. She refuses to have another kid for him so she could have a figure that pleases her husband. She was always defending him with her colleagues and beefing with her mother because she couldn't forgive her for leaving her father for cheating and broke his ties with his daughter. Yu-sin was in the relationship with Ami for a bit of fun. Yu-sin cheated for The Thrill reason of it. The Extra Fun. It's just so obvious... Ami was just a 'pretty young thing, a plaything' to him. he never wanted to be caught by Pi-Young and went to great lengths to cover up the affair. including trying to actually end everything. He loves his wife but he wanted some more excitement clearly. Pi-Young was just too cocky about him while despising her mother... Talk about what goes around comes around... Now, its a 'how do you like them apples' moment for Pi-Young. But I do hope she takes Yu-sin to the cleaners and makes him pay for what he did. Hae-Ryun is such an oblivious cheat...it's obvious he cheated for Egocentric reasons…he felt his wife was making her kids and job her no.1 priority and neglecting her looks...and him, of course, he felt like an afterthought.... not to mention, them being together for so long,... he just had to remain faithful though because he just threw his family away for his love which i find far selfish and that makes him my least favorite of the male leads... which also make Ga-bin, my least favorite mistress because you took a married family man and made him your 'rebound' from a heartbreak. Part of me feels she's just doing all this just to show Dong-ma. I had a client who married someone to avenge an ex and the marriage lasted under four years There will be payback for such acts. i really feel like Sa-hyeon cheated By Accident I mean, He didn't set out to cheat, but he needed someone to cherish and respect him and it 'happened'. Lest i forget, he met Song Won at the gym... the gym Hye-ryeong Kept nagging him to attend even though he didn't really have to. Hye-ryeong just had to let her materialistic tendencies and obsession with outward looks, blind her to the fact that men have roving eyes and women can act senseless when it come to their emotions. Hye-ryeong kept saying her husband was ‘mediocre’ to her colleagues. No respect for your rich and handsome lawyer hubby but suddenly, someone else is a gold digger for liking him. Make it make sense. And WHY has Hye-ryeong developed a radar for the Seo brothers all of sudden? Obviously, because they are rich and attractive, the same things that probably attracted her to Sa-Hyeon. Of course, Sa-Hyeon seems spoiled and pampered because he is. Everyone is saying Sa-Hyyun is a man-child but being the youngest child of a rich family or being raised by traditional moms (the ones who just love to pamper their sons) can do that to a person. He likes to be taken care of like his mom did to him and Hye-ryeong couldn't seem to bring herself to do that. Being a 'good wife' and a 'career woman' are not mutually exclusive. And why does she have to resort to violence so much? Why does she hit her husband?

And This makes me inclined Not to blame Song Won a whole lot for what happened between her and Sa-hyeon cos she was lonely and has a genuinely good outward character. Plus she went to church to repent and actually apologized during the wife’s confrontation. I mean i don't hate her. i didn't appreciate her sleeping with Sa-Hyeon To Make Him Forget her (that never works...sigh) and getting pregnant as a result (though I'm sure she must've though she was infertile going in, hence the fact they used 'no protection'). per their tradition, I just feel like parents would gravitate towards a more respectful person, not to mention, wanting a male grandchild. Sa-hyeon's parents reaction to Song Won is actually very likely in the part of the world where I’m from where people have very traditional values about marriage. Some actually end due to basic disrespect, sexual incompatibilty and lack of children. The children of a marriage or non-marriage are more treasured than wives in our laws here. Ay, I hope by the end of the show, all the mistresses all learn a lesson or two from their experiences. Ami should focus on her career since she's young, Ga-bin should stick to Hae-ryun even when he gets old and weak without becoming like another Dong-mi and regretting Dong-Ma’s betrayal and Song Won ends up with her baby and Sa-Hyeon’s parents or someone who loves her. I appreciate how adamant she's been about ending things with Sa-hyeon and not wanting to be the cause of him divorcing Hye-ryeong. Out of all the mistresses, she has the most justification to be with the man she cheated with, being of a better character and pregnant with his child and all. But she doesn’t seem poised to take that route. Hye-ryeong can also change for the better and make the marriage work. I give this show 5 stars for not being afraid to dip into adultery and for also depicting a lot of realism.

Kim Jul 21 2021 3:33 am A funny thing I'm learning from this drama is how talking a lot/opening up can lead to all sorts of things. Professor ended up with two women who both talk a lot. Si-Eun told her co-workers all about her marital problems and subsequent divorce. Look at how Hye-Ryung and Pi-Young are shutting up about their problems... now I'm wondering if that's a good thing or not. His mistress Ga-Bin was also the first person spilling the mistresses's secrets. i noticed Yu-Shin actually shaded him on that in Ep. 11 when he met him to ask him why he exposed a fellow cheater. He said ''I'm actually with someone who doesn't have a big mouth'' or something along those lines. I actually laughed out loud.

Why did they make the professor a whistleblower when we already dislike him so much ah :D:D?!

I do believe Song Won will be generous with the baby. She's just so giving. Minus the whole misstep with the cheating with a person she was actually counseling about marriage (very well, I might add), I really like her modest/demure character. It's like she has this air of solemn elegance/regalness. i know this is an unpopular opinion, btw, ha!

We’ve already been given two non-dating, Non-flirting scenes between them where Seo Ban seeks to gain Song Won as a Chinese Language teacher.

They are Beautiful together and they are Independent, thoughtful, stable, single And have similar interests or at least two: Chinese language and Babies! Is it A Match?

Postscript: If their situation evolves into marriage I Believe it will be a Splendid and Faithful one. Also what we know of their characters fore- Shadows that they will Allow/ Encourage Generous Parent/ Grandparent rights and Opportunities for Sa- Hyun and his parents.

Many people here speak about karma and punishment for the cheating husbands and their girlfriends, but in real life there are plenty of examples that many cheaters live happy life after divorce, of course I don´t mean all the cheaters, there are also many that have payed for cheating (both men and women). I will not mention the names, but many celebrities (even very popular and beloved) around the world were caughted in cheating scandals, divorced, married their mistresses, gave birth to children and live happy life. This is the reality, and I think this drama is close to reality, that´s why it became so popular among korean and international viewers.

Sue Jul 20 2021 4:30 am Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. The writer deserves an Oscar for the script writing and the dialogue was clever, smart and hard hitting. There was one sizzling rejoinder after another. It was great dramatic TV. It was clever the way the writer gradually led Dr Shin to betray his real self and Pi Young her inner strength but some weaknesses, that she admitted, like how she treated her mother, which he played to his advantage. However, direction wise, a whole episode devoted to one argument, however brilliantly acted by both, especially Park Joo Mi, however full of home truths, is not good directing. There are 3 stories going on here (at least, + several sub plots) and to leave all of these hanging to concentrate on one was not balanced. The audience start to forget the whole picture. Luckily, the drama is such a revelation of the truth behind the facade of modern life, that it can’t help but be a blockbuster in the end. I hope it ends with the stories being truthful to everyday life and satisfying in that good triumphs over evil, a good heart and strength and loyalty to those you love, is more important than a marriage contract which is not a good one. Everyone should get their just deserts. But let’s hope that there is a place in the future for true love to exist.

It takes two to tangle: Yu- Shin said he wanted another child (he had an affair with a 28 year old/child). Professor said he wanted a change; therefore, his change for to leave all responsibility for his family. Kid Lawyer like older women; therefore, he found one.

Wives in the Drama all can do much better without their cheating husbands. End of story! Children will suffer for their parents behavior (fathers).

The last thing he needs is to be in a relationship similar to the Professor (being used as a rebound). I want the Writer and Director together for the same reasons as others want him for Pi-Young, I want her to stick it to her ex. and be with someone who appreciates her. Plus I’d like to see the nice older woman come out on top..

First, there is no way I would trust him to determine how our assets would be handled. Any good divorce lawyer would advise against this. I would let him know that my lawyet would be contacting his and a full disclosure of assets would be needed. That’s where a lot of women get screwed. They were married over ten years. I don’t know about Korea but in some parts of the USA she would be entitled to at least half. Forget that she has a job. I would make sure the same lifestyle I had with you will remain the same. I definitely would not be moving out of that luxurious mansion so his mistress could move in. The writer again made it seem as if we wives are so overcome by our emotions we just cave in and sign on the dotted line. The next point I take issue with is her allowing him to use her mother and daughter to somehow place the blame for their situation on her. I would have shut that down right away. He was the one who cheated. No way would I have allowed that to occur. Again I wish the writers would have portrayed her handling that differently. It almost seemed as if the writers were giving him some justification for his infidelity. There are only four episodes left. I still have not seen any true remorse or regret on the part of the cheaters other than theiir being sorry for getting caught.

I thought this latest episode was great. Kudos to the writer. It will be interesting to see how he treats A-Mi. From the preview it looks like he is indeed a weak, lying scumbag.

Sonya Jul 18 2021 4:45 pm @Roberta, I agree.. The thing is, Yu-Shin clearly has more assets that Pi-Young is aware of considering how he bought his mistress a Benz as a parting gift. Pi-Young is devastated and wants out, but she’s being too emotional. She needs a forensic accountant instead of trusting him to financially support their daughter. In the US you can’t simply walk into court and divorce with minor kids. There has to be a custody and child support order in place, I’m not sure how it’s done in Korea.

Pi-Young should give her share of the assets to her daughter. Especially since, like you pointed out, most women earn less than men AND men tend to have it easier post divorce.

Pi-Young needed to end the conversation when Dr. Shin tried manipulating her into staying by implying that everyone cheats and when their future son-in-law cheats, their daughter will have her mother to help her get pass it. Ugh.. I think that part of the conversation was the most disgusting!!

Roberta Jul 18 2021 3:43 pm Spot-on @sonya. Yu-Shin was trying to undermine Pi-Young, playing on her vulnerability. I thought it was an asshole thing to do, and it betrayed the writer's biases against the wives.

If my husband had betrayed me, there is no way I would sit there allowing him to abuse me and becoming his victim.

As for not taking his money, it is ridiculous because women typically earn less than men. Pi-Young's display of pride does not hurt Yu-Shin. I would want to be fairly compensated for the pain and suffering inflicted by his betrayal. Even if I don't need to, I would take it and donate it to a worthwhile organization.

Sonya Jul 18 2021 2:22 pm The writer is frustrating! The episode is good and the acting is phenomenal, but why dedicate an entire episode to one couple? I was looking forward to BHR and her whining husband’s morning after conversation.

Some things that stood out for me: (1) When Yu-Shin stated that without his stepmother assistance, his father wouldn’t have accepted Pi-Young, I suspected he’s always played on her insecurities. Him asking what made her better than the average woman and proceeding to tell her why she wasn’t, confirmed it. (2) When Yu-Shin questioned how he was responsible for the “issues” Pi-Young had with her mother. He’s done a lot of sh*t, but not this. (3) Yu-Shin FINALLY admitting to using his daughter to prevent the divorce.

Pi-Young is determined to divorce on her terms. She did everything she could to keep her husband faithful, but now realizes that there’s NOTHING she could have done. She doesn’t even want his money! You know it’s over when your partner wants nothing except your signature on the divorce decree..

Roberta Jul 18 2021 2:18 pm The latest episode wore me out. Yu-Shin is a manipulative liar, and I am not sure why it was necessary to devote a whole show about it. Pi-Young was forced to defend herself and listen to his crap. Seriously? Her reactions were out of character. Granted, she was very vulnerable because of her mother's passing but allowing him to waste her time was still out of character.

I would have said: 1) I am feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed by everything so let's reconnect later 2) See my lawyer ASAP and draw up the divorce paper with most of the assets going to me and my daughter 3) I would be honest with Jia-A about her father and assure her that I would not interfere with her relationship with him.

Of course, I am not a Korean woman, and I don't live in South Korea so I don't know the laws.

He asked her to wait for him 3 to 5 years and tell lies to his wife that they are only like siblings. Also, to all cheating men of this show, he’s the worst From S1, he showed good actions to his wife and his family but it was all fake(too good to be true) Furthermore, No matter his reasons are, cheating is still cheating I wouldn’t tolerate it either

On the other hand, I appreciate their performance especially Pi-young who is portrayed by Park Joo Mi. She really captured the emotions of a woman betrayed by her husband and the loss of her mother.

They tend to dwell on unnecessary stuff (the ghost, the inlaws) which makes the show uninteresting like the first seqson. I hope from episode 13-16 they will be able to depict the outcome of the lives of the cheaters and the give justice to the wives. They already put too much emphasis in justifying the reason for cheating. Let’s move on and end this

Many people are saying the wife should always win out. This is ridiculous. The righteous one should win out. If the wife is a selfish, straying, nagging bitch, she should lose, if the husband is a cruel, lying, cheating bastard, he should lose. There are better choices out there, as for the lawyer.
The interesting part will be to see if there are any lessons learnt and any redemption. Looks like Dr Shin already has regrets - may be too late?
Some excellent acting, Park Joo-mi so good, Dong Mi step mother, Sung Joon naive but good, Seo Ban the sleeper. Ah mi has acted the bitch, hated girlfriend to a tee. Joon Soo Kyong seems to be able to act anything from chaebol to downtrodden frumpy wife. The Prof always acts a professor, as in Law School.

Sa Pi Yoiung reflects a very strong and dignified Classy woman held composure amidst of painful betrayal of the husbamd. Congratulations to the writer and director is was very well done.

I hope this drama will not end up giving tribute to mistresses, home wreckers and cheaters or justifying cheating.. instead looking forward to see the consequences of wrong action done and how strong women will overcome pain of betrayal

Well, the last episode was without a doubt the best one ever! Pi-Young's discovery of her husband's betrayal was the last to be shown. It was perfect... and I lovedf Yu-Shin's stepmother's reaction! (although the next episode is goingo to be very bizarre according to the previews).

In my opinion, all lovers are disgusting! Husbands are also trash and none of them deserves to be happy. I read some comments defending the lawyer and cracking down on Hye-Ryung. One mistake doesn't justify the other, but the mistress is disgusting, especially by getting involved with a married man and even asking him to defend her dignity before having sex with him... ??? Hye-Ryung is not a saint, but Sa-Hyun knew exactly who he was marrying and should have been man enough to ask for a divorce before cheating his wife!

The writer's family storyline is the best!! She is the one who gave the most for her husband and family and truly deserves a happy ending! I wonder if Ga-Bin will rejoint with Seo Ban's younger brother and leave the professor... that would be an interesting turning out, and if that is the case, I hope Hae-Ryun end up all alone!!

And what about Dr Shin's ghost?? I though it was so out of place his scene in pool. I think they are trying to justify Yu-Shin's behaviour by showing that he may be like his father??

It doesn’t matter if it is an affair, a work relationship, a marriage or a family. In the end it is truth and good that triumph over evil, greed and deception. There is no point in being in a marriage based on lies, deception, cruelty or desertion. Better to be free, protect the children and find a true love elsewhere in a relationship where everyone can grow, trust and flourish.

Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems. To be honest Ami fit and match him well in a relationship because she lacks self-confidence (father). Yu Shin 1st Love is his Stepmom and he has mommie issues; therefore, it makes a lot of sense for a middle age man to go with a twenty some and control her.

Ellie Jul 12 2021 7:46 am Like I said in season 1, this is a brilliant drama about love marriage and divorce, so it’s following out the pathway mapped out by the title perfectly. We’ve got real love and fake love and it’s really well done that the actors can portray this to a tee. Then we’ve got a worn out marriage with a great selfless wife and a bored husband, then a romantic ‘perfect marriage’ with Pi Young being genuine and Dr Shin play acting at romance while cheating. The 30’s marriage is a disaster with the nagging, egocentric bitch wife and the gullible big hearted lawyer who genuinely loves his older girlfriend who is pregnant. This is a clever twist by the writer who is full of ideas. Here’s hoping goodness wins out and they can end up happy with their baby which will make his parents happy. Is life ever this straight forward, I hope for one good ending.

Ah mi has been written a terrible part, she is a scheming monster after what she can get, but would she really fall for waiting up to 5 years for a guy 16 years older. I don’t think so - the step Mum is showing her true colours and great TV when she attacks the mistress. The drunken Aunt is ghastly, can’t see where she comes in with love or marriage or divorce unless she was the one Pi Young’s Dad went off with. Poor Pi Young, what a great actress.

Looking forward to more pieces of the puzzle clicking into place as the Engineer Seo Ban and his brother play their parts, and Dr Cho.

A top class drama that gets better every week and is true to the theme of love, marriage and divorce, but I still have a small hope for goodness winning out against cruelty, deception and evil and there being some hope and humanity left in the world.

This was the most interesting episode yet! First, I have to say that A No is a very gullible woman believing that line "I'll come to you in 3 or 4 years". Who does Yu sin think he is?? And convincing A Mi to lie to his wife for the sake of Ji A? He wants his cake and eat it too. And the the enteritis situation? That's stress from guilt and juggling his grieving, non talking wife and his girlfriend's alcohol poisoning. No wonder she's an actress. What a drama queen! What an egomaniac! Was his marriage so terrible that he Had to cheat? From all outward appearances, he seemed content and even spoiled, if you ask me. Once a cheater, always a cheater. And don't get me started on Pi-Young's. great aunt. A drunk, fake and bitter woman who hates her sister. And the nerve of her saying all that deal to Pi-Young. Now Dong Mi who is in love with her stepson. First she marries the grieving husband and now she wants the son. She probably murdered the wife to begin with like she did the husband and was trying to do with Pi -Young!!! The only reason she went after A No was because she was jealous. I have to hand it to Pi-Young for keeping her cool. Can't wait to see what happens with this triangle.

And while the Dr protected side chick the wife was seeing the protective side on display. Was epic. Cant wait for the next few eps. Hyori and the gutless lawyer are both so immature they are just painful to watch. The in-laws frustrate me since they coddle him so much. Initially she was so hurt this woman picked out blood from stress. She’s not a push over, why we see her being petty now. She’s made up her mind to have a fling to get back at him. They should divorce. The brother of the pd would. E a good match with her.

Now “the Good mom” and the kids- she’s a good person. Kids are beautiful and so thoughtful. Professor and actress are Selfish pos. I totally ship the PD and this wife. Kids deserve a good role model. And her a good man that will live her.

Elle Jul 11 2021 7:36 pm Finally the episodes that show the wives with some sort of justice. What I haven't liked is how horrible they make Hye-Ryung seem. Yes, she's selfish but her husband also married her knowing as much. Even the parents, even before they met SY, was bending towards the son divorcing Hye-Ryung -- moreso the mom.

The fact that it seems like Sahyun is getting a "pass" on his affair and impending fatherhood because his wife is mean doesn't sit well with me. Regardless of why he fell out of love with his wife, he should've divorced her before sleeping with another person.

What I liked about Hye-Ryung is that she's honest with who she is. It's unfortunate but her and her husband just aren't compatible. But the way the show is depicting their relationship irks me. Hye-Ryung has every right to be angry and hurt because ultimately her husband cheated on her but she's being made to seem like she's unreasonable.

Pi-Young handled her situation way better than I could have predicted. There is nothing wrong with fully believing and having faith in your spouse which is what she had. That's why the pain she felt was 1000 times worse but she came through very strong. I'm glad she and her mom reconciled at the end.

Overall, I'm hoping for the best for the wives and kids in this drama. While it is realistic that people cheat, get divorced, and tell lies...in real life none of us have the choice to manipulate the outcomes in those situations.

However, in a drama, the way the story is told is fully up to production (meaning everyone involved with the story). I really don't want to watch a drama where women who KNOW the men are married and still go after them, win in the end.

So yeah, shameless A Mi deserved that beating she got. Hopefully, the drama will continue to show more of the wives and their stories as opposed to seemingly celebrating people who knowingly interfere with marriages.

Hands down best episode and now I’m impatiently waiting for the next episode. first of all Yu-sin Dad that died totally forgot about him but that was weird when he had a Pervy moment but seriously what his purpose because i thought maybe the stepmom will get what she deserve or something. Then the stepmom …whew!!! she was something else but she cracks me up she definitely seem like you know who she hanging with before she married yu-sin father, and she think she all classy and bag of chips i knew she had some gangster in her. I believe she’s a bit much i know you raised him but she acting like Yu-sin is her man i mean really doesn’t seem like a secret to them anymore. i hope pi-young put it together and confirm the feelings the stepmom has for him. Pi-young acting from epi 10 when she collapse and mom passing was great!!!. Those mistresses out of all of them song yuan is the best she has class and flawless with great acting and definitely full of remorse but i wish just once she fights for what she wants but i understand because her baby dad act’s like a child so what’s the point fighting for him. Love ft marriage Jul 11 2021 3:10 pm I enjoy this drama, but I hope there will not be season 3, like penthouse. Surprisingly, no character annoys me, maybe because I know that this is a drama (though I understand that these situations happen in real life). I want to say that the cast does very good job, everyone's acting is superb and Sa Pi Young has stolen the last two episodes. While interaction with the mistresses Sa Pi Young and Lee Si Eun were classy, just the queens, whereas during the interaction of Bo Hye Ryung and Song Won, Sung Won was the one who was classy despite the shameful circumstances. It looks like Nam Ga Bin is just using the professor to arrange her personal life, A Mi is crazy in love with the doctor and Song Won was more like a friend who was giving advise. Out of the 3 mistresses Song Won looks more thoughtful, she admits that she has committed a sin and wants to stop it and move forward, whereas Nam Ga Bin as well as A Mi didn't stop, even knowing that the men they are dating have children. As of wifes, Lee Si Eun is the perfect mother and caring wife, but she refused sex when he wanted and sexual intimacy is also an important aspect in a marriage that helps you feel closer to your partner. Of course the marriage is based not only on good looks and sex, as we see it on the marriage of Sa Hyun and Hye Ryung. She is young, cares about herself and dresses with class, yet her husband fall for other woman in whom he found warmth and care that he didn't experience in his marriage (of course it's not the reason to cheat). The marriage of Yu Shin and Pi Young looks ideal, I don't know what was his reason to cheat and it looks like it's totally ok for him. He thinks I do it, but I am a perfect husband and father. The doctor is the most dangerous, he plays a double game. The professor asked for divorce and later admitted that he was cheating, the lawyer confessed that he has fallen for other woman and she is pregnant and that there is no point to keep this marriage, but Hye Ryung deliberately decided not to get divorced, because she didn't want to be divorced woman and also this was her way to punish him. So, not only the lawyer's parents were against divorce, but Hye Ryung herself in season 1 convinced his parents that she can handle everything and that she doesn't want to divorce. I am sure Nam Ga Bin and professor will break up, same goes for Yu Shin and A Mi (probably his stepmother will try to kill A Mi) and I think Song Won will get a happy end, but will not stay with the lawyer. I am also wondering what is with the aunt of Sa Pi Young, she hated her late sister?

Although his mistress has asked him several times to not stress her out during her pregnancy, he refuses. The whining and manipulating situations to see her is pathetic. I hope the fortune teller says they’re not fated! His parents started out likable, but not anymore. And BHR needs to stop because she looks desperate. Either fight for your miserable marriage or leave.

The doctor and Ami are terrible people, period! I was pleasantly surprised with the wife not allowing him the space to lie, minimized or wiggle out of his affair.

For me, the highlight was the crazy as* stepmother. I knew she was going to lose it and did she ever. I expected her to slowly target the mistress like she did her husband and DIL, not go full on crazy!

The ladies delivered and definitely deserve recognition. Idk about the writer because it’s season 2 and it took 9 episodes for her focus on other characters and their strengths.

If anyone should be divorce it’s this couple; plus his stepmother is dangerous she was already on the path to get rid of the wife and now a mistress. Anyone who has been cheated on by a spouse knows how the wife feels. The actress did an excellent job presenting all phases of what a woman goes through when she discovers her husband is cheating. He is a dirty dog and already plotting against his wife; he really thinks his wife and stepmother are stupid because they love him. Ami is a damn fool for submitting herself to this humiliation.

He saw it and immediately wanted to talk to her and be with her. sure he may have fallen more in love with her due to her personality but he approached her because he saw a woman's butt at the gym. Even if it wasn't song won, he still would've fallen in love with someone else, maybe this time if he saw someone else's thighs or smth. Hye ryung's mean but he knew what he was getting into while marrying her and she doesn't deserve to be cheated on for that either. She's afraid of being cheated on so she dresses nicely, is attentive to him, keeps his underwear in the fridge and makes him tasty food. once he divorces her he'll understand that no one can be as perfect as his own wife lmao can't wait to see the look on his face. There will be more trouble for the cheaters and their gfs. I gather the writer is now showing us in Season 2 the downside of illicit romance. Trading a good wife for a new toy never ends well. The professor at least was honest from the start, yet he can never return to the family he knowingly destroyed once he learns the truth about his mistress. Sa Hyun is beyond stupid. He doesn't even deserve to be a father. Yu Shin is the worst of them all. He's conniving and manipulative. He got himself the mistress he deserves. A brat. ? AND THEN there's the disgusting Kim Dong Mi. Hopefully the ghost will get his revenge. I don't want a Season 3 so this better get a satisfying resolution in the next 8 episodes.

I thought season 2 was going to focus on the wives, but it’s actually worse because now it’s the mistresses living their best lives with other women’s husbands. When not with their new loves, the men are whining, crying, thinking about and in the professor’s case, begging his family to understand and accept his mistress. The drama focuses 70% of the screen time on the mistresses.

If the writer is telling HER story then I have little hope the wives will get their comeuppance.. At this point I’m hoping the doctor ends up with his mistress so that she can be the stepmother’s rival.

Lastly, the radio show host could be the most spoiled character, but her husband KNEW from the start who she was, how she acted and what she wanted. She has always been direct and doesn't sugarcoat anyone or anything; he just decided like also the spoiled BRAT that he is he wanted a baby and change her essence. YOU CAN'T change anyone it's up to them (this also applies to her).

The only reason I think the mistresses could win is that the person that wrote this drama was also a mistress/cheater and wants to make it that they are not the wrong ones.

I would think it’s better to cut one’s losses sooner rather than later. There’s no more love/respect between them. Pan Sa Hyun is such a wuss. The mother-in-law (Kim Dong-Mi) is despicable and her thoughts and actions make me sick to my stomach. In that sense, I guess her and Shin Yu Shin deserve each other. Ah Mi is so annoying. I mean she is old enough to know what’s right from wrong. Song Won despite her demure self still cheated. I hope Lee Si-Eun end up with Seo Ban. Her husband is going to experience downfall like no other.

There are those who are so passionate about hating all the mistresses, completely disregarding the reasons why the husbands cheated, who had shortcomings in their relationships, whether or not the marriages were already deteriorating in the first place even before the men met the other women.

Then there are those who are sympathetic towards Song Won.

On the other hand, there are also those who feel that Hye-Ryung, Pi-Young, and Si-Eun should put their marriages above everything else, and play the part of the rightful wife (Hye-Ryung), perfect wife (Pi-Young, and the martyr wife (Si-Eun). Nevermind that their husbands are: (1) unhappy and have no guts and self-respect to stand up for himself (Sa-Hyun); (2) a selfish and a pathological liar (Yu-Sin); and (3) a pathetic and desperate loser (Hae-Ryun) in a pitiful mid-life crisis who can't even recognize he's a rebound of some heartbroken so-called actress rejected by a chaebol.

But most importantly, why isn't Anyone bothered by the fact that Pi-Young's MIL Dong-Mi murdered her husband by not attending to him when he needed first aid as he was having a heart attack in that cinema--when she herself was a nurse before getting married to the kind doctor?! Add to that the fact that she's been lusting after her stepson whom she raised as a little boy?! And to think she knew Yu-Sin's father when he was still married to Yu-Sin's mom and she was an employee at their hospital. Doesn't it reek of Dong-Mi's moral corruptness which is hidden by her seemingly loving and attentive nature towards the father and son? It boggles the mind why people are not saying anything about this or are not even bothered by this?! GEEZ.

Samiam Jul 04 2021 2:54 pm Apart from her appearance Hye-Rung is a terrible character, she treated her husband badly even before the affair. Told him what to do and not to do. Shitting on everything what was important for him. And flirting and eyeing other men and don’t want children. To the mistress defense, he told her he would get a divorce for sure and she fell for that. Sung Hoon‘s character is sometimes hard to watch. So contrary to his other characters. It just shows how good he is as an actor. Sometimes I would just like to punch his character for not taking responsibility. The doctor and the professor are just horrible. Still the series is intriguing about that keeps us watching, so it is def doing a great job, too! It shows a lot of Asian culture. From an European perspective there is no way that the couple stay together and even trying to get a child. It is insane! I love the parents though, his dad fought for his mother in big style.

CB Jul 04 2021 2:20 pm I don't see how anyone feels sorry for Hye-Ryung. She is the worst! I don't excuse her husband's cheating but lets be honest...she has been eyeing Seo Ban from the beginning. The only difference is she didn't go through with it. Beside Seo Ban didn't give her an opening either, but if he did whose to say she wouldn't have cheated? She barely spends any time at home or does anything with her husband. Its all at her convenience. She clubs and goes out with friends while he has to sit at home like a puppy and wait for her return. She talks to him like he is less than human. Sa Pi-Young is just naive. There is no way she should have let Yusin roam free the way she does and not question him. I am so disgusted at how she has treated her mom, but now she will see the pain her mother felt. You only get one mother and there is no reason for her behavior. I just can't do anything but shake my head at the professor. He is ridiculous. He is allowing himself to be used (even after she told him). He gave up everything to be a rebound. Si Eun is so gracious and is handling the situation in a mature manner BUT....sometimes I feel like she is letting her daughter fight the battle for her. The professor is wrong as two left shoes but there is no way I would let my child disrespect her father and go as far as she has gone. You would think she runs the household! As a mother that is a big no no for me. Overall I love watching this show. It shows what and what not to do in a marriage. It takes two to tango. She’s talking about a “reel” baby and I’m assuming it’s because she doesn’t want the mistress to be happy. I felt sorry for the mistress until she accepted his ring with pleasure and pride. That was the turning point for me! That’s when I realized that in Song Won’s mind, after she safely delivers her baby, she’s hoping for a future with another woman’s husband. That’s probably why she’s okay building a bond with his family. She knows his parents love their unborn grandchild. To me, the mother-in-law is worse than the father and I’d feel betrayed by my husband and in-laws. The way easily support their son’s continued betrayal and coddle him is pathetic.

The doctor and mistress are both terrible people! They’re manipulating each other. Let them be together in their own toxic, distrustful messy relationship so they can cause each other misery!

I’m hoping the singer is lured away from the professor and she gets to see his REAL side. I want him to realize that she was using him to get back at her ex. The child is not guilty and not responsible for the mistakes of his parents. I don't know korean mentality, I have an impression that in korean society divorce is considered as something very terrible that will destroy your reputation for ever. Otherwise I cannot get why on earth a beautiful, young, successful and self-sufficient woman as BHR sticks on the marriage that doesn't have future. It's obvious that both parties have no more feelings for each other and I think she understands that already. She herself admitted that her husband irritates her, her husband asked for divorce, even told that the other woman is expecting baby from him, yet she is determined to continue this marriage and even to conceive the baby that she doesn't want. I think this is the case where divorce is for good, especially they don't have children together. Doesn't matter what your parents and parents-in-law say, you are an adult, you have your head, this is your life and you don't need to follow somebody's opinion. I understand BHR was out of her mind when she saw her husband, his parents and Song Won, but trying to stab somebody really? I really hope the writer will divorce these two and give a happy ending to both parties, they will only suffer if decide to continue this marriage. Cheating is a bad thing, but unfortunately common in real life. I think this drama doesn't excuse cheating nor glorifies it, it rather shows the reasons that may lead to it, the consequences for- and the feelings of- all the people involved including children. I don't know if SPY will allow her daughter to see SYS, but I think now she will understand the feelings of her mother. I will not be surprised if at the end she will start dating Seo Ban. I had an impression that BHR had her eye on Seo Ban and thought the writer will bring them together, but i think Seo Ban is not interested in BHR, moreover the writer added new character, Seo Ban's brother, who seems like the type of BHR. I think Kim Dong Mi will end up in a psychiatric clinic. SYS will be alone. PHR and NGB will separate. LSE will hopefully meet a good man and find her happiness.

Hopeful Jul 04 2021 10:04 am I was talking about this drama with my aunt. We were wondering if there will be revenge in the drama. I hope for Hye Ryung, after her divorce...the mistress has a miscarriage and can't have children anymore due to her age. And I hope Hye Ryung can move on from the divorce and focus more on her career with Pi Young and Si Eun because that one guy Seo Dong-Ma doesn't have good intentions. For Pi Young it seems obvious, but I hope her future ex-husband knows that the step mom is crazy by having the mistress be successfully killed by her and Pi Young finding peace and getting the help she needs from the poison she has been unknowingly taking. As for Si Eun since she is already divorced...my aunt hopes the ex-husband and his future wife gets bad publicity and he loses his career that Si Eun helped support. Regarding Seo Ban... I don't know who he is aiming for, but if it is Si Eun... I approve!

She is the only character I dislike the most, even more than A Mi.

I’m from Europe so maybe the culture here is different, I don’t know ??‍♀️ Out of 3 mistresses A-Mi is my favourite, maybe because he is naive and young. I feel for her, she fell in love in married man and it’s him who should stop the romance but he didn’t … Lawyer parents are so funny. To be fair I only started watching this series Sung Hoon is in it. Watched his other shows and I really like his acting ☺️ Can’t wait for episode 8, episode 7 was brutal (in a good way lol)

In today's preview Song said Lawyer got attracted to her because of Hye rang's attitude. I mean seriously!! Hye-rang is rough-tough girl but Lawyer fell for her in the first place and got married. Someone can't justify their extra affair just because partner's personality & behaviour. Lawyer could get divorced first and then go for another women but he went for cheating his wife and the In-laws are also justifying it!! Sa-piyong is just so naive. She can't see through her husband. I just want happiness for the wives. They had enough of all the lies. Please, makers should concentrate on wives stories rather than mistresses.

Other than that I enjoy seeing hye-ryung and seo dong-ma together. lowkey wish she divorced the lawyer and got together with him cause I really like their chemistry a lot. I also wish she'd fix her personality as well lol. I also hope nam ga bin's gets to see it too. Honestly I found A-Mi the most annoying (and she still is) but Nam Ga-Bin is so shameless asking to be friends with the woman whose marriage and life she ruined. It also seems like she's not over Seo Dong-Ma properly yet. As for Sa Pi Young, I'm the most worried about her cause she seems like the type to just push her husband's infidelity under the rug cause she looks like she's obsessed with the image of a perfect family. I salute with Lee Si Eun, she is so strong. That is the best solution for them. There is no point for them to maintain their relationship because in the end both will feel miserable. Is it totally okay to cheat, leave your family and still maintain a balance with your real families? Those old lady who got impregnated by the younger man, she should have left him to find her own will since she said she only wants the child. However she is being portrayed as a kind, loving gf while the wife seems cunning, selfless. How do the scriptwriters not show that she is hurting for being cheated on? The Doctor who has the actress gf on the side. I hope the wife finally realizes that she is being cheated on by her conniving rich husband. Money won’t make you happy. And the married professor who was blinded by his so called love for the actress who herself has been jolted by her ex boyfriend because she’s getting old. I pity the family who was left by the husband. I hope the show shows the family overcoming this hardship. With the writer wife able to find her own happiness with the children. That pathetic husband/father falling into grace and embarrassed by his affair. That the university he works for gets wind of it and kicks him out. I’m still hoping for a happy ending with these three couples, that they realize their mistakes, end everything amicably and or tell a moral ending to this drama.

For example; Sa Hyun character, he needs someone who can manage his daily needs such as food. He also wants children. However his wife is failed  to carry out the responsibility. She also does not want a child. Here, we can say that, a beautiful wife is not always perfect.

As for the professor, he wants a to have some intimate relationship with his wife. But was often rejected by his wife.

I am looking forward for more episodes!

Yusin's character is the most dangerous in this drama. He is very sweet to his wife, but actually he is a liar!!!
Beware of this kind of man!

Please , do check ur marriage life. If there is any wrong, discuss with your partner. And let say, there is no other way to settle your marriage issue, than divorce might be the last choice. If your partner have weaknesses, tell him/her honestly. A partner's weaknesses is not a ticket for you to cheat.

They have to put a good fight with those home wreckers and protect their marriage no matter what. The drummer wife needs reflect on why her husband cheated? I think she needs some self assessment what went wrong with the relationship. Wives should be always on the guard to protect their marriage which includes the welfare of the children. My heart goes to the children of Si Eun. I can feel the agony of going tru their situation. I hope this series will end on a happy note so as to appease myself . Ha ha ha.

The Drama Queen Jun 19 2021 1:12 pm I think S1 really served as an introduction of husbands' different relationships with both wives and mistresses. The first 8 episodes were dedicated to the wives and therefore very good in my opinion, but I was really disappointed with the last 8 episodes, focusing on the mistresses and trying to make us feel empathy for them. What they did, no matter the circumstances, was wrong and the writer seems to try to justify their actions.

Despite that, I believe that S2 will focus a bit more on the rising tension that we had up to S1E8, before the flashback. Not to mention that Boo Hye Ryeong's revenge may have already started. Indeed, she was humiliated by her cheating husband. He disrespected her in the worst possible, meaning by crashing her pride. And if there is one thing BHR cares about that is her pride. That's why I believe she decided not to get a divorce. Not because she loves her husband, but rather because she wants to make him suffer as much as he made her suffer. How? By preventing him from being with the woman he loves (the hypocritical mistress). Hye Ryeong simply crushes their feelings, their hearts and in a way, makes them pay for what they did. Yet, it is very certain that, at some point, BHR will direct her focus and energy on another "toy", if I may say so (Nam Ga Bin's ex-boyfriend). Once she has another occupation, she will get rid of Pan Sa Hyeon like a used tissue. My question is more whether or not she will destroy his reputation, life, career, while going away?

As for the 2 others, I think these are tricky characters. Lee Si Eun seems kind and forgiving, but as soon as she meets Nam Ga Bin, she might be willing to retaliate. She carries a lot of resentment towards her husband (that ungrateful bastard!) and hence towards the mistress. So she may not be as nice as she appears to be.

Sa Pi Hyeong is another problematic person. I don't believe she will actually divorce her husband, but there is a high probability she destroys the emotionally-dependent Ah Mi (who is by the way really pathetic). SPH is not someone you play with or you defy. Dong Mi (her mother-in-law) will also realize it soon I think. As for her husband, once again he will surely get away with this.

Anyway, I really hope the writer is going to provide us with more confrontational scenes. I literally want to see the wives rip their husbands and the mistresses apart! Please give us some fights!!!

MYSTERY Jun 13 2021 7:45 pm So I have seen season 1 and in have to be honest, many parts had me annoyed and then some parts had me super bored. It definitely portrays everyday occurrences in relationships, unfortunately but some storylines are dragged on for too long. The last episode in season one was a complete bore and not entirely necessary. I find myself skipping parts with the mother and her two kids because their lines are just top boring for me. Same goes for Sung Hoon and his mistress. I dont find him interesting in the least. And he does this thing with his mouth ever so often that's super childish and annoying. For a grown man character, they really made him a childlike and cowardly. As for the one with his step mother, it's super cringe. Not sure why they would write a story like that in but it is what it is. And his mistress is getting very demanding so I believe eventually she will approach his wife and tell all. Overall, I really dont think this drama is as interesting as some make it out to be. Some parts could be entirely omitted. Most of it is super boring to me.

At some points while watching this drama you will get high blood pressure, but guys this is a fictional story with fictional characters. So, take it easy! If you are annoyed, just drop it. There is no sense to watch something that annoys you. Judging people for their sins is as bad as cheating.

I like a lot Sa Pi Young's character, only sometimes I didn't understand her attitude towards her mother. I understand the reason, but personally not agree with the attitude. It is still a parent. But in any case this is their own business. I found quite funny the moment when Sa Pi Young had a dream with Seo Ban, it is so realistic. It happened to me and my friends as well, I saw in my dream that I am about to kiss my coworker, whom I don't even think about. When I woke up I was like faugh, what a nonsense! I don't know if Sa Pi Young's dream will be the beginning of some story. In my case it was an absolute nonsense :) Although Shin Yu Shin cares for all the 3 women, I still think that he truly loves only his wife. I think he had a childhood crush on his stepmother because she was attentive and cared about him, also she is pretty woman. But I am convinced these are only sentiments for the first childhood crush and gratitude for the care. As of A Mi, I think she has serious crush, but from his side it is just infatuation, I didn't see any serious feelings from his side to her. If he separates with SPY, for sure he will regret and suffer a lot. I don't know if SYS and SPY will reconcile at the end, there is still a chance because love doesn't have logic. What I am sure that SYS will not stay with A Mi. I also like Lee Si Yeun. Here is a similar scenario, Park Hae Ryun will likely regret. It also looks like just infatuation from his side to Nam Ga Bin. I also didn't see any strong feelings from NGB's side. I will be very very very much surprised if PHR and NGB will stay together at the end. I don't know if LSY will forgive PHR, but I hope for a happy ending for her. As of Pan Sa Hyun, I think he and his wife BHR have very different personalities. My personal opinion, they no longer have feelings for each other. BHR just has to move on. I don't know if PSH really loves Song Won, but among the 3 men he looks like the most passionate, maybe because he is younger. My personal opinion, Song Won spent the night with PSH in order to get over him. I also think she thought after spending night with her he will get over her. Psychologically, people tend to do it in order to get over each other. But in his case it didn't work. I am also sure she did it not for the sake to get pregnant. Among the 3 mistresses, she is the most likeable for me. I hope she finds her happiness, if not with PSH then with another man. Have fun!

The trio homewrecker seems to be fine talk about their socalled ‘love’ without anything to be ashamed of. This three people knew those men are married but still didn’t have any guilty. Imagine if they got into the wives’ shoes. Is the writer want to normalise it is okay to be homewrecker or it is psychological aim to give awareness to the wives out there, beware of your husband even he is the sweetest guy?
