Kim Do-Gi (Lee Je-Hoon) graduated from the Naval Academy and became an UDT (underwater demolition team) Official. His mother was murdered by a serial killer and his life changed afterwards.

Kim Do-Gi is now a deluxe taxi driver and works for Rainbow Taxi Company. The company is not just an ordinary taxi company. The company offers a special "revenge-call" service. If clients ask them to take revenge, Kim Do-Gi and his co-workers will perform the service.

Somehow I was not interested in watching this drama at that time and just accomplished now. After I watched this drama it turned out to be very exciting. Kim Doki is like Hold pain and have a strong determination to help people affected by disaster. I also like all the characters in this drama, especially Mr. Jang, wow it turns out he plays well here. But I prefer EPS where Doki Meet gamblers. Which he plays the role of Wang Daoji. This is very epic haha.But I also like all the characters in this drama. Everything is very cool. And now I'm watching season 2

Nik Dec 14 2024 5:53 pm Right after finishing this drama I come to write down my thoughts. I don't think much right now, only: WOW I love it :) That was refreshing! (well, revenge dramas always are)

I love the actors, even the bad ones, because they played their roles either that I wanted to do bad stuff with them or be part of the revenge team.

I noticed a few unimportant plot errors but nothing that bothered me for too long. The end is great, I so much want to watch S2 but nothing on the 2 VoDs I use. :/

And unfortunately, Sung Chul really trusted Baek Sung Mi. Also really disappointed how the Kang Ha Na character is not as strong as should be. Like the strong and savage Kang Hana just show at the end of drama.

Georgina Innak May 29 2023 1:56 pm Okay hear me out! I discovered the drama 'Taxi Driver' and was immediately drawn to it. While watching it, I noticed that the writer might try to develop a romantic relationship between Esom and the male lead, as is common in many Korean dramas to create “hate to love” relationship. However, I didn't pay much attention to that and continued watching. What really caught my attention was the character Ahn Goeun, played by Pyo Yejin. After the dinner scene, I realized that they are about to become my most favorite couple, even after watching many Korean dramas, Hollywood series, and movies. The fake couple part was perfect because it was supposed to be awkward, cheesy, and funny, all at the same time. I even re-watched those scenes multiple times. I was thrilled to see Ahn Goeun have an action scene in episode 8 of season 2, and I can't wait for more. Although the drama is a work of fiction, it surprises me when people criticize it for not being realistic because it was never meant to be. The stories are based on real-life incidents, but the drama itself is of a fantasy genre. I am looking forward to season 3, which will only feature 5 members of the Rainbow Taxi team.

I must also express my admiration for Pyo Yejin. I am in love with her and can't wait to see her take on different, stronger characters in the future.

Mix of fun and seriousness, guess he had a hard time acting Kim Do Ki as he's a fun person in nature~~ This is where Wang Dao Zi is born :)

Ep8 is the most annoying episode I've seen in a show for a while. That whole lame subplot for Go Eun? "Feeling like it was her in the video" was so freaking lame, I can't even. Bleeding of fingers bc of excessive typing??? Have they never met an actual gamer or programmer before? Even Do Gi who's supposed to be strong was so easily bent by a plank hit. Everyone started acting stupid since ep7. The first 2 cases were handled amazingly well. They just completely ignored character arcs, it seems.

Jinna Mar 12 2023 10:48 pm I agree that the prosecutor is there to balance the whole revenge plot, so that one would not forget that no one can go above the law. However, as each depicts, even the law enforcers, sometimes cannot be trusted, hence the need to have the so called Bluebird Foundation team. They did what others cannot do according to law. What annoys me was the fact that the character Kang Ha Na was so adamant to make the foundation looked like a criminal org and treat the criminals as victims. It really boils me to the core when she questioned KDG and looked at the others as if they are some heartless murdered when she knew the so-called "victims" were the ones who were ruthless and heartless.. She could have investigate thorougly, do a lot, and i mean a lot of background checks and not making any presumptions first. I've watched many shows that has the authority used their common sense before acussing but not this one. It is a plausible plot. If i were Esom, a seasoned actress, i would suggested the writer to change the premise of the character even at the early stage of the drama, to gave the character a mote positive vibe. Up to the ep 11, i dont blame anyone who hates her character. She is of no help. The only mistake the foundation made was to trust Ms Baek with the criminals, though i lowkey thought that it was ok..at the end, the criminal will be killed by another crimina. Like virus killed by another virus. But the assocation between the foundation and her org bothers me too.They could have just indirectly provide these criminals to the org via a premise that these criminals had/ would also caused harm to the baek's organization. Hence the r/ship between mr jang and ms baek is seriously unnecessary too..anyway, i will continue watching because i love the revenge plot + the bluebird group. They are the star of the show throughout..

They should've worked together with her to put the criminals in prison, and not making deal with another criminal. The boss was stupid to trust Chairman Baek, and they almost died because of it.

Erigom Jan 03 2022 5:10 am I had always wanted to watch this drama since the time of its release..I was happy that it was added on netflix and now I could watch it..I loved everything about the drama except the female lead who played Kang hana's character...she lacked emotions while playing her character..she had same expressions throughout the drama..I hated whenever her part came Nevertheless Lee Je hoon was amazing as always..I love all of his works..he is a great actor ❤

Usually, I don't make time to write a review on the movies or series that I watched but I was so amazed and impressed overall especially to the male lead. I fell in love with his acting and also the character that he is portraying. I am now his fan. What I also really like in this is that the story doesn't have any unnecessary love shit stories. All characters are amazing, strong and cool, even the female characters!

If you're looking for an all action and drama with cool characters, amazing plot and without unnecessary romance, I definitely recommended you to watch this.

Amy Jan 01 2022 6:11 am Enjoyed for the most part but was a little put off from episode 10 onwards when Lee Je Hoon for some reason continued the husky voice he used in episode 10, sounded like the disappointing batman voice and was not enjoyable to keep hearing

Its always disappointing to see the strong female characters turned into weak helpless histerical women frozen with fear.

It was drefinitely entertaining though and glad for fast forward so i could skip those annoying scenes. Has a few familiar enjoyable actors i like watching which was great like Tae Hang-Ho and Jang Hyuk Jin

Eva Aug 15 2021 1:31 pm Watching Taxi driver after having bingewatched Signal and Move to Heaven in four days, practically I'm having a Lee Je Hoon marathon, lol. I am in Love with this actor, his looks, his voice, his acting and micro-acting, the way he uses his eyes, his muscles in acting is phenomenal.

I haven't watched that much of this drama and I can't say I'm hooked to it from the beginning the way I was to Signal. The plot so far has nothing new to offer, it's a combination of Knight rider and Charlie's angels, but I'll continue watching because I can see the outstanding job done by the entire cast. Not to mention the eye candy LJH is dressed in total black!!! ?

For Kang Ha Na prosecutor, i dont like this character not because of “she is doing the law and this drama shows us no matter how good you are at handling the revenge, but it is still wrong according to law” - okay, i pharaphrased it but this sentence is undeniably true. its so true. One thing I hate about prosecutors in every dramas especially female, they always act against their boss’s words but doing thing stupidly. trying to act strong and tough whatnot but 100% risking their lives and one sidekick,no proper backup, no protection. fighting against a group of guys with weapons. only Do Bongsoon is allowed to walk alone without protection. so, you are not Do Bong Soon, even Bongbong has Minmin to protect her.

I know his Signal drama but never get to watch it before, i thought he's one of the A+ korean actor par as Song Joongki. Let me believe it so cuz he deserves so much, he's indeed a versatile actor!

At first, i thought Kim Doki is his real personality like woahh he's damn cool?? But when he portrays other characters in this drama, i'm shook cuz he's totally different?? So i get to learn he's that versatile, and that funny cheerful character is his real life personality. He's that cute. I watched all his projects, interviews videos, i fell in love with him even more~

I really hope he'll win the award this year for this drama and Move to Heaven!! Lee Jehoon is the best!! Can't wait for his next project~

Fast & compact storyline, more powerful action scenes, no unnecessary drama and brilliant ending. And Kang Ha Na appeared with diff hairstyle. I only realized that the writer had changed from ep 11 onwards, after i finished watching the whole series. No wonder it became better!

Kirk Jun 01 2021 7:35 am Great Korean drama! Glad I discovered one that isn't a cheezy romcom. I like the dynamics of law and vigilantism presented in the drama. While I think it is ideal that we punish criminals according to the law, it is also undeniable that there are times when the system and the process don't work fairly, especially when the people who run them are incompetent or corrupt. It often happens irl that the rich get acquitted, or they serve only a minimum sentence, or they get special treatment in jails, etc.

I liked the part of the story where the prosecutor was so adamant that the law and the process work and must always be followed, but when someone she cared about was killed and the system she trusted isn't going to bring her friend justice, she finally seek help from vigilantes. It was kind of a reality check that people can become hypocrites once someone they love becomes the victim. It's so easy to say "let the law work" or "trust in the justice system" because they're just bystanders and observers in the current moment. but if it's someone they love who is tortured and killed by powerful monsters and the the system will let them get away and continue living happily to torture and bully more people, I doubt if that "lawful" hypocrite won't resort to private justice. Honestly, if someone I care about becomes a victim of a brutal crime, I wouldn't want the killer to be put in a clean prison where my taxes will feed, clothe and shelter that monster. I'd rather see that killer suffer in Chairman Baek's jail where it smells like sewer, the criminals cannot stand or stretch their legs, they are fed with bland food, and they constantly live in fear of getting their organs harvested. Violence may beget violence and vigilantism may become a cycle of revenge but i personally would rather be living a hellish existence as long as the killers are living a hellish existence too, than living an average life while the killers are living comfortably in prison unremorseful of their crimes and who would most likely kill again once they get out--like Jo Do-chul, who planned to kill the people who were involved in his arrest. He was released from a proper correctional facility and yet he is unreformed. It might be fiction but similar incidents happen in real life too..or is anyone too naive or ignorant to think that correctional facilities turn all rapists, murderers, child molesters into model upstanding humble citizens?

She brought great acting skills and a maturity to the part that a younger actress could not, and this maturity was essential to Go Eun's relationships. hihihello May 31 2021 10:28 am I personally disagree with the nature of revenge. I am glad that the characters realized about the impact of the revenge and managed to find closure and peace at the end.

Really like episodes 15 and 16. The relationship of the Rainbow Transport workers, Jang Sung Chul's quote about finding peace, Go Eun's quote about don't being hurt alone, Kang Han Na's being savage at the end, and also the justice for the criminals.

And I gotta say that Lee Je Hoon's acting is top notch! In those last 2 episodes his expressions are beyond amazing, well done!

Love the messages at the end of the episodes. The true story at the end of episode 15 really broke my heart.

Overall, it's a good drama with packed action scenes.

SPOILER: jo dochul died. baek sung mi and her gang sold her eyes & other organ then killed him. he is the first baek's victim from the rainbow taxi's criminals. baek wanted to killed another criminals by selling their organ too. but she failed.

if i'm not mistaken, Chairman Jang So so pressed about oh chulyong because he is also the murderer of his parents. i remember his name being mentioned a few times in earlier episodes without him having any screen time yet. he is a serial killer who got caught after he killed a woman in 2001, and been in jail since then. then one day when he went out for a day he choose to kill Kim Do Ki's mother.

hihihello May 26 2021 8:04 am There were some frustrating moments in episodes 13-14. It reminds me when I watched Uncanny Counter and the evil spirits were a few steps ahead of the counters. It might seem cliche, but at the end the good will win over the evil.

2 more episodes left and I hope it will not dissapoint. I think it will focus more on Kim Do Ki's past in episode 15 and hopefully a good closure in episode 16.

Her character is critical in the plot because it showed how powerless they can be with the law, and because of that there are Kim Do Kis who take justice into their own hands. You all hating on Kang Hana because she was condemning the crimes? That she goes after Kim Do Ki? Well, she's doing a good job then because a crime is a crime and in the end the Rainbow Taxi team should realize that their good deed is not good at all and there is a law to uphold. I think that's the lesson we may all learn in the end.

It's simply because her character as a prosecutor is way too weak, too stupid and has no sense at all. She is no match for them. That's why her scenes are always boring and such a waste of the ime screen. She didn't even seem enthusiastic about his work, just grumbled here and there. No strategies, nothing.

She's a prosecutor that supposed to "catch" the criminals or what? That's her job fr. After EP 11, she starts to understand the pain that all of Rainbow Taxi members go through. She did try all her best to catch the culprit but since there is no evidence, she had to give up even though the culprit is right in front of her. That leads to her contacting Rainbow Taxi and use their "revenge" method. Someone needs to take on the law sides, not Jin-Woo cuz remember U-Data? He said to Hana to brush it off just because the prosecutor is his senior so the problems won't get more complicated.

Also, this is the first time that I was not angry at Pyo Ye Jin's character. She used to portray the mistress (both in Fight for My Way and VIP) so I was really annoyed at her before but I think her character now is better. I can actually sympathize with her because I also have only one sibling/sister and I feel like I would also want to kill if ever that happens to her. I like that the show did not portray the leads as people who are super righteous. It's a bit like Vincenzo in that sense, although I haven't finished Vincenzo yet. But this drama is good and it's new to me. How I wish there are real life people who would want to take revenge for those who experienced abuse and injustice. Just a question, did Mr. Jang die in Episode 8? Because he was bleeding from the stab wound at the end of the episode but he was in the preview as well (sort of in a hospital, I think, or that could just be my hope that he's not dead). Also, I ship Go Eun and Do Ki. It's Episode 8 and there's no development in Hana-Doki relationship and I hope it stays that way. Contrary to what they say about there being no chemistry between EunKi, I actually feel that they care a lot for each other. I really like Lee Je Hoon since Signal days and is it just me or Jang Dong Yoon resembles him, right?

People who are victim are thinks thats happens in real life. Everybody needs thats kind of taxi driver. I dont find chemistry between Go Eun I hope there is no romance between them. Esom is great actress but she needs to appear more in screen and more lines .

I get it how they think like that, but as someone who works in the field surrounded by victims with trauma and listen to their suffer everyday, I come to conclusion that death is not the most satisfying revenge.

Most victims don't want their source of suffering just... dead, but suffer as well. Not just less than an hour suffering, but a lifetime. I agree, for Go Eun it must be the best. But thinking that the chairman only have to suffer not even one day before his dead, while the victims suffer for years, somehow doesn't sit right for me. The chairman is mad sick and insufferable, with the revenge plot and relatable stories, Taxi Driver could make him suffer for life instead killing him off.

But yeah maybe I still hold my moral compass while watching this drama. It's still a great concept though.

Cool show May 02 2021 12:57 am This is such a good show. I have been looking for a drama that would make moving on from Vincenzo a bit easier, and this is it. Though the flow of events could be a bit confusing, it's ok. The car scene is superb I'm at the edge of my seat. I hope prosecutor Kang will have her time to shine later on because the team always beat her to it.

I think they will team up later though, I can't wait!!!

PS: When Do Ki hit Jung eun's ex with the helmet on you know what part, that's so satisfying! hahaha

Go Eun is a young woman grow up with trauma of her sister's death. The cheerfulness is her basic character but it's perfectly reasonable why she breaks down at some moment. And of her adores Do Ki, maybe have romantic feeling for him, is also understandable, bcs there was no hope for her 'revenge' until she met Do Ki.

And I don't think Kang Ha Na is a bland character, if yes, it's the writer that makes her as she is. Imo, Kang Ha Na is that one people who has integrity and believe that justice should be done. But she's relatable to us who doesn't have that power or specialty to hurt people who hurt others. She's the perfect representation of ordinary prosecutor we would meet in real life and I really hope the writer doesn't waste her character.

I really love the crews acting but I absolutely dislike the female lead. Esom isn't a really lovable actress and playing this role makes it worse. It seems like the prosecutor has no skills and good tactics in catching culprits. Plus, the prosecutor loves to expose her identity and real objective. On the other hand, I think that Go Eun is very cute and lively but not sure why a lot of people are against her.

I feel like Prosecutor Kang is just another filler. The problem is not the actor but the character the writer's wrote.

Only 9 episodes left I hope the female lead got the screentime she deserves.

The drama tackled a sensitive, dark and heavy society problems with such a cool and refreshing revenge plans. That's must be why it is getting a hot responses from local audiences since most of the events were based on real life stories so it reached to the viewers' hearts. I haven't read the webtoon yet so I did not know whether there would be a romance involved or not but one thing for sure was Goeun obviously had a crush on Doki and it seems like Doki was aware of her feelings towards him. I mean he was always smiling for no reason because of Goeun's talkativeness. Maybe he just saw her as his little sister since Goeun was supposed to be the youngest in their Rainbow Taxi's team but if you follow SBS's official twitter acc, they tweeted about Goeun and Doki's late night dinner date scene with a hashtag 'DokixGoeun'. I personally think that romance is unnecessary for this kind of drama. I don't want to see Goeun to be heartbroken if Doki rejected her. Logically it'll be awkward then because among all the characters in this drama, Goeun and Doki especially had a really strong bond with each other. Goeun is Doki's ears and eyes. Doki couldn't do anything without her. On the other hand, we need more scenes of Prosecutor Kang Hana!! It's been six episodes already but we barely got to see her. Her character was stuck to being a tough and persistent prosecutor only without any major character developments and backstory. Even the godmother got more memorable and impactful screentimes than Kang Hana, the female lead.

Why and how ?

But hey.. This is first episode, im sure the second episode will more interest. im fall in love with the whole cast and also the comedy and that presecutor women.. I think she will good if act on vincenzo v^^

Naria Apr 10 2021 1:30 am Surprised that this is not an OCN drama because it definitely has those vibes. First ep was really good, I mean it made me cry so that must mean something. So far my fave character is Maria but I know she isn't one of the main characters so I have to let her go haha.

This drama isn't for soft hearts, it deal with some dark and potentially triggering things right from the get go like p*dophilia and r*pe.

Kim Eui Sung usually portrays a cold man with no humor and Jang Hyuk Jin played detective, bereaved father, or executive many times; but in this drama, they took a completely different character and I like it!!!
