Lee Young-Joon's family runs a large company and he works as the vice-president of the company. He is smart, rich and handsome, but he is arrogant. His secretary is Kim Mi-So. She has worked for him for years and she is perfect for him, but Kim Mi-So decides to quit her job.

There is no point in watching when you know how the scenes are gonna be. Very tasteless series. He is very handsome and he acts very well but the plot is soooo tiresome.

Last 6 were the most boring episodes and honestly, thinking now, it's the most boring kdrama I've seen. It kinda reminds me of She Was Pretty, but hell, SWP was great. It was much greater, much funnier, warmer and interesting. But oh boy, this one is just... I feel like its testing the limit of boringness. It's just pure boring romance. I dont usually watch something like this, but this is THE boringest. Cinematography us good, but theres nothing to save it. Probably some girls would like it more tho, but idk.

Let's compare to some others. I honestly started to think I'm getting tired of kdramas, but no. I remember reading that Secret Garden kdrama was boring, and hell I loved that one a lot! I remember watching Romance is a Bonus Book, and man it was very interesting, entertaining and warm! Plus it had amazing story. But this... is just boring. No dynamics at all. This drama didn't do anything new. They even used same house main lead had in Secret Garden oh bky. Perhaps It's just for some people who like watching different male and female korean icons dating and kissing or whatever.

Now, I dont say it was completely boring. Somehow, I got to episode 11, lol. There were a story, mystery. And there were some interesting, funny, entertaining moments. But no, it wasnt even close to other kdramas I mentioned. I tried to give it a chance. Oh right, you know what's more boring than this one? It's her Private Life. Poor Park Min Young, choosing such bad projects. Healer is top and will remain her best. But this one is totally not for my taste. Mention me a romcom and I'd say yes it's good, but this one is just too boring. I dont even want to rate it... trust me.

I like the way it’s done to represent a webtoon, Park SEO Joon is at his best in this, much better than Itaewon Class, not an easy role to play and Park Min Young is always great with that amazing hair. They look good together. I love the cameo appearance of Lee Min Ki and Jung so Min as the parents of little Mi So, wonderful casting, they were amazing together in Because this is my first Life and acted loving young parents perfectly.

Altogether a great drama, except for the company picnic that Korean Dramas often have, they’re awful. But five stars, I love this.

The "romance" is painful to watch and an utter abuse of power over a subordinate. I loved the comedy scenes, but could not shake the desire to punch the lead man in the face. The side stories are great. I kept watching to see more Kang Ki-Young <3

I’m a shipper too I ship pmy with jcw but when I see a good chemistry and a good drama I say the truth. Psj chemistry with the actress in ffmw was good but with pmy it was freakin awesome I will not lie I love pmy and jcw together but pmy and psj’s chemistry is blazing hot, it’s out of this world.when I watch the bts of this show and saw how cozy they are and the bed scene bts I was shocked to the teeth. I mean the bts of ffmw was cool and also healer but this show it was something else it was as if I was watching another of their drama together, I mean the bts of this show has a separate fan base I tell you. I read a comment where someone said it looked like pmy had a problem with psj lol very funny if you watch the directors cut you will come back and delete your comments because in the bts they seems as though they were a couple, they way they played around, they even kissed while rehearsing a kissing scene, psj added little extra kisses like kiss on the forehead, nose before the lips. They were French kissing it was so intense and passionate not to talk about how psj was grinding on pmy during the bed scene and she was touching his abs and the one time spanked his ass lol. Okay too much detail let me stop here.

About the drama entirely it was amazing, it’s very refreshing the entire cast were awesome and they all complete each other none is better than the other. If this drama were to be a snack or food I’ll eat it everyday. Ps: the story line is not boring, if you want to watch a drama watch it with an open mind and don’t be bias because you don’t like the female or male lead. Someone said without psj the drama would have been a big fail but that’s a big fat lie all the actors played their part so well and that’s why the show is a hit and even in 2020 people still talk about it and it’s still trending till now.

Un modeste admirateur Nov 02 2019 4:15 pm "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" could be used to teach how romantic comedy should be done. The story is lightheaded, but with smart characters and really deep development. The humour is silly at times, but always refreshing and never vulgar. This is a very difficult balance to find and even more difficult to keep over 16 episodes, but this drama manages it flawlessly. Not many male partners of Park Min-Young can equal her talent and her beauty, but Park Seo-Joon can, and the two of them succeed in creating a couple that you'll never forget.

But what makes up for boring story are the superb acting skills of the two main cast. Specially Park Min-Young. This is the main reason why there are still so many fans enjoy watching this.

If you looking for straight forward love story than this is for you, not too much annoying families and jealous nasty rivals. Plot is straight forward and directly concentrated on mail leads. Personally I think Park Seo-Joon played brilliantly and looked sooooo damn cool every time! How it is even possible to look like that?! :) Definitely a pulse raiser :D Well made drama, easy and enjoyable watching.

But after a few more episodes, it became too cringy and the romantic scenes are too cliche and cheesy. The plot doesn't even need 16 episodes to resolve, but they were dragged to fit in 16 episodes anyway. And very predictable. Just a typical k-drama. Or maybe it's because I've watched too many good ones. This is one of the very few k-dramas that I stopped watching halfway because I don't really need to watch it until the end to know how it will end. But if you enjoy cliche rom-com k-drama with a predictable plot, or if you're new to k-drama, you may enjoy this.

marieclaire Jan 29 2019 5:54 am i was entertained during the first few episodes of the drama until it just gets too cliche, cheesy for me. i love park min young's acting (very consistent) and as for seojoon, i personally think not much change from his previous characters? i'm a fan of minyoung but i kinda hate some shippers she won from this drama. some just went too wild and over the top. i'm happy minyoung is strong and smart enough to overcome those bashing and misinformation though. she just doesn't deserve to be hated just because of some people's obsessive tendency.

Wswk Dec 12 2018 1:24 am For me 1 time to watch was enough, rewatch value 0. I found this drama really nothing special, the story is cliche and predictable. I skipped some episodes, especially at the end. Female lead is overusing widely open eye expression, I watched some of her dramas and she is a kind of the same, same facial expressions, just different heroines. Male lead had challenging role in this drama, but with his talent he could take stronger project. Supporting cast did great job, at the end I was more interested in Bong Sera and Yang Cheol and Go Gwi Nam and Ji A. Kang Ki Young is really great actor.

The main couple had been working together for nine years, him overworking her like crazy and treating her like shit, and then one day she snaps, decides to quit and tells him and what? only then he realizes her worth? that he likes her? starts treating her better in fear of losing her? doesn't seem right to me. Also the main male lead is narcissistic from the beginning to the end, and I was rolling my eyes every time he said anything narcissistic.

Cunha Nov 25 2018 1:50 pm ok I just finished this and my opinion of it is: it started well, the episodes were good up until the childhood story plot was completed. The next few episodes, 4 episodes or so, were so boring that I just wanted them to end fast and to get the show over with. As for the characters, at first I liked the leads but then the show got draggy and over the top cheesy scenes between the leads started happening more often, most of them making me cringe to the point that I felt like skipping their scenes (which would be impossible it's almost the whole show). Also at times the lead couple acted like teenagers when they are like 30 or something on the show (I'm talking about the characters nothing against the actors). I felt like I was more interested in the side characters than the lead couple, I'm happy the side ships got together at least.

I cried my heart when Mr. Lee told to his parents why he lied on having memory loss. Child actor of mr. Lee is very good. I now want Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon to be officially dating in real life lol.

solverdee Nov 10 2018 11:39 am Strange to see people commenting on it’s being boring in some episodes, when most of the time k-drama watchers whine and complain about wanting to see couples being just couples. And here we have it. They have some conflicts, they solve it as adults with talking, they have history and some mistery, but they act like couple and do stuff, that couples usually do. And drama is so good damn great in delivering on this part. WWWSK one of the best and most sophisticated (rom-com), yet it never takes itself too serious or think of itself as the best thing after sliced bread (a lot “serious” and popular kdramas fall into that trap). It has everything. From cute, to funny moments, great and versatile actors (comment about PSJ not being versatile made me laugh out loud. Sun Woo, Dong Man, Sung Joon, Ri On, Dong Ha, Young Joon couldn’t be more appart from each other. If he is not versatile, then no one is), to great cinematography and OST. Most importantly it has heart. People trend to watch cringer and cheesier korean dramas, so I hope more would watch and enjoy WWWSK for what it was, without trying to mold to become something, that would suck everything that made that drama good and so much enjoyable in the first place. WWWSK simply makes me happy, when I watch it.

EG Nov 04 2018 6:18 pm I’ve been watching K-dramas for a lot of years and I must say that I stopped for almost 2 years because they were repeating themselves.

Usually, when I start watching some program the first thing that catches my attention is the photography of it, I mean the image. How clear and sparkly it is. This drama has an excellent photography so it cached my attention in the few first seconds.

Then, I love or hate a show based in the actors. Lets be real: If I see no chemistry or if I don’t feel identified with the characters, I lose interested.

First: Mi So. I’m really tired of k-dramas with dumb females leads who stay beside the male lead even when they treat them like trash at some point or when the female lead starts really strong and them becomes insecure and clingy when they fall in love (for example that’s why I didn’t like Park Min Youn’s part in City Hunter even when I love her so much. Kim Na Na starts as a strong woman who can kick your a** if you mess with her but becomes kind of dumb and allows him to treat her like trash when she falls in love with him) Mi So in another hand is a hardworking and independent woman since the beginning to the very end. She knows when to say ‘no’ to the man (not talking about saying ‘no’ the boss because let’s be real she could be a little bit stronger saying ‘no’ at work) She rejected him 5 times before saying yes! Maybe someone can say she was to hard to get but we women should learn from her our value. When he was really jealous in the last episodes she got really mad and left just like that instead of stay and beg.

Young Joon. He fits into the cliche chaebol and smart male lead, that’s true but at least he has some interested past despite others male leads dramas. His behavior has a reason to be. He doesn’t madly fall in love with Mi So for some dumb reason (like the way she moves her feets in My ID is gangman beauty) There is a special and spiritual connection with her. She is REALLY special for him because of what they lived together! About the way he fell in love with her even when it looks rush you have to know that he was in love with her since they were kids but he didn't know it. Even his friend knew about his feeling before he did.

The plot. You could say is predictable...well I must say it got asking me why the brother had all those memories even when I knew, somehow, that Young Joon was the oppa Mi So was looking for (if somebody here was able to figure it out sooner about the brother I must say you are the best)

About the sweetness and cheesiness of the drama. What are you waiting from a romantic comedy? In a action movie, you want to see action so in a romantic drama you will find...romance and cheesiness maybe?

Myself, I fell in love with this beautiful drama. It has all the elements: great photography, even greater chemistry with the leads actors, the story is funny and easy to watch because it goes right to the heart. The OST is on point, I like each and every one of the songs played. The romantic scenes were perfectly made, very sensual, with deep emotions and realistic (sometimes I fell like I was intruding) but not vulgar. For me, in its category, is the best of the year!!!

On point was the chemistry of the lead they have really performed well we can see their hard work in the drama. From first to end he kept his promise to be with Mi so to protect her. Though nine years he kept his feelings with him but he continue protect her being rude or being good. Awww.. really appreciate everyone works in this drama❤

D Oct 03 2018 3:14 pm I don’t know why, but I just didn’t think they looked right together. There was something unnatural looking about the pairing. Their features didn’t go well together and it just bothered me a little. Plus, how is it he’s all of a sudden after 9 years interested in her? It was kind of awkward and weird. I think the male actor seems like same character no matter who he plays. He doesn’t seem very versatile. It’s the same guy different girl. Maybe they should change his hair style around to make it feel like someone different.

I was smiling the entire time I was watching. The plot is simple and predictable, some episodes became boring yet this doesn't stop from giving me satisfaction. Everything is worth my time. I can relate to it, easily watch it, no dragging scenes, so much fun and the actors are amazing. They've mastered the art of romantic comedy. Hope to see more Kdramas like this!

It don't have confusing plot and have a solid scriptwriting. The main actress is beautiful and have good job at acting. These main and supporting characters are doing well at acting. The mystery part is so predictable. It's my fault anyway for watching this. I like PSJ but not enough to make me watch the whole drama with a boring plot. If you're looking for a drama without deep conflicts and with so much romance then I highly recommend to watch this. I'll be using the term "SOBRANG KILIG" (Filipino term for romantic thrill) because that's what I was feeling the entire time watching this.

By the way I was really laughing so hard every time the lewd devil appears (the cartoon devil thing) specially when Young-Joon finds out that it was a female.

All the actors and actress they really portrayed their roles so well regardless of what others say such as this drama is so boring or the scenes are repetitive etc... for me this is THE MOST REALISTIC drama. The first drama that I can finally relate too am working so hard like Mi-So not having enough time for my self and my family this drama touch me in such a way that even Go Gwi-Nam (yes he was annoying) but when I found out why he is leaving in a frugal I can actually relate to their situation because I am just like them.

Its a drama where you can just watch at ease without being curious what will happen next or even anticipating a plot twist etc. I think when they showed the flashbacks of them as kids I already knew seo joon was the oppa she’d been finding everywhere. Why they gotta make it so obvious!!!!! Writernim :( I’d expected better from you. YAS despite the boring plot, the actors and actress did a great job, I’m glad it receive high ratings, they deserved it for their acting. I really wanna see seo joon in dramas other than rom coms, i just wanna see a different side to him though he’s good at these rom coms i just hope for his next project he’d choose a different character than the typical rich guy (he already played this kind of character twice. this and she was pretty)

Generally I like anything Park Seo Joon does because he's such a chameleon, but this drama did not have the usual elements that would normally piss me off and make me stop watching a drama (throwing major shade at Are You Human Too right now); namely jealous second female leads, conspiring chaebol families, overbearing and demanding parents and the most irritating, weak and childish female leads.

I quite enjoyed this drama, from beginning to end. Not a dull moment and all satisfying storylines. Kang Ki-Young is such a gem and a joy to watch by the way.

It was so cheesy and repetitive, I thought I would love for everything to be solved so easily, but nah, it wasn't nice. I admit it was funny, but it could be better. Anyways, my only problem was after watching Park Seo‑joon in "She was pretty" (which is one of my favorite dramas), its was really hard to see him in such a cheesy performance.

Sukwah Lin Aug 01 2018 5:29 pm “What is Wrong with Secretary Kim?” is one of the two Korean Drama that I watched for the first time in my life. This drama series sure left a deep impression on me. I love theater and good acting. I am the type that in the case that I found myself watching a stupid movie, I would walk right out of the theater and not waste my time. Not only did I want to find out what happened next, I was surprised that after watching this show, I kept thinking about the lines and expressions of the actors.

It is a beautifully done piece of work.

First of all, I appreciate the writer, Jung Kyung Yoon. Many times, I thought, “ How did she come up with lines like this?” Everything makes sense. The way the writer crafted each character was very vivid! For example, Young Joon, being smart and with great memory, memorized which days Mi So wears which shirt! Mi So obviously has her great reason. She was trying to save money!

Secondly, I love the way the director handled each scene, along with the music.

Thirdly, I love the actors. They all do so well together. Park Min Young’s Mi So is so beautiful, elegant, natural, strong and gentle at the same time. I am especially impressed with Park Seo Joon. Not only that he has good look and unique charm, he shows himself to be a very hard worker. I was surprised by how detail, spontaneous, and subtle his facial expressions are. They speak volumes! I was especially impressed by how he pairs so well with different actresses, and that he was so convincing in totally different roles. (My sister showed them to me :)) Not a lot of actors are willing to train himself to look and fight like a champion. Not a lot of actors can learn Spanish in such a short time, so to work in a restaurant in a foreign country. The way he is going, sky is the limit to how he can impact the entertainment industry…worldwide!

Overall, I love the way “What is Wrong with Secretary Kim?” is giving the audience gems of good advices, in how to relate to each other, in very amusing and entertaining ways. Not only the drama talked about it, it shows the audience how to do it. Kang Ki Young’s role as the relationship coach of Ying Joon, helps spell out the moral of each incidence so the audience would not be confused. Those people that complained about Episodes 15 and 16, probably missed the precious gems, without understanding how valuable they are. According to my observation, movies these days, especially in the United States, are lacking in good role models. It is so critical to the point that a lot of people don’t know how to relate to their loved ones any more. There are alot of broken families with a lot of abuse. If people can become better husbands, wives, parents etc after they watch your movies, you have not wasted your time in this life as writers, directors, actors and actresses.

Lastly, I love the way “What is Wrong with Secretary Kim?” helps bringing romance back. In these days and age, people tend to meet and have sex. Everything seems to be instant these days. A lot of people are missing out. They may not even know what romance is.

Anyway, thank you. Thank you for a job well done! Congratulations to the whole team of “What is Wrong with Secretary Kim?”! Way to go!

The lead was confused and wanted her to stay.... thats how the mess started. She got attracted to him too fast, what a waste of time. The plot is so simple, so idk why they attempted to add a mystery to it xD but it was just a failed attempt at making it a nice drama.

Both roles have good manifestations, not perfect, slightly distorted especially to the sound, but not here, there is no problem in sound both articulation and intonation of sound. I like the color of her voice, sounds firm. It has not been fantastic in terms of role or acting, but it certainly worthy of attention. The show itself was very well executed technically, not a bit of visual beauty that is exhibited into good points for other cliché dramas.

The supporting characters were great too, for a change there wasn't a single one who annoyed me. The female lead was so so but it was still enough to carry the story that was just right. A bit of past angst but overall no love triangle, good communication between the couple and no crazy unrealistic parents. Great stuff, give it a try!

THE KISS SCENES MADE MY STOMACH FLIP! plastic surgery or not, park min young is beautiful! and she looked so cute whenever she did that angry or annoyed face! i loved all the characters in this drama.. and i'm soo glad that all the couples i was rooting for ended up together...and the thing i liked the most was that there were no problems created by the parents... overall i had a pleasant time watching this... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 9.5/10

Park Seo-Joon calmly soldiered through, and has my respect for that...otherwise, a completely deadly, groaner of a drama. If you want a really well-done love story, watch "The Man of the Vineyard," done before the current crop of directors and writers, who think sexual titillation makes a story.

The side love stories of the supporting characters are also cute! This drama isn't dramatic or super intense but the cuteness in it makes me keep on watching. There are little humors here and there, I like it! 10/10 for me

Carl Jul 28 2018 9:25 am As a korean drama watcher for almost 8 years, I don't usually pick rom-com, since fantasy and supernatural genres are my preference. But then this drama made me love rom com. And I'm planning to indulge myself with consecutive rom-com dramas. This drama really take me into another level by its kissing scenes, cute side stories and so much humor. All the casts are lit and superb. But who I love the most is Ms. Bong. LOL. Everytime I see her face I can't stop smiling and laughing. Even my 10-year-old brother love her.

But the best couple for me is Mr. Ko and Ms. Kim. Yeah. I want to see more of this couple. Their love is just so true. And you can see the development of their chemistry. Haha. I really miss this two.

Another thing is the mystery sub plot. So darn amazing. Storytelling is on point and somehow very realistic and heartwarming.

I wish to see more drama like this. Drama who weave life lessons through simple and light stories.

I think it was just unfortunate that it had to go for 16 episodes... ep13-16 was just boring.... and filled with “filler plot”. If you're looking for a pinkish drama, light hearted rom com with a bit of suspense - Then This Is For You.

This drama gave me absolutely every single thing I could ever ask for in a perfect drama - great chemistry between the two main leads ( who are incredibly attractive btw ) , lots of comedy and lots & lots of kissing scenes - which were adorable to watch *squeals* PSJ is an extremely talented actor & so is PMY, I was so impressed with this drama, the director did an amazing job and so did all the actors. Each week I was looking forward for each and every single episode & I was never disappointed or ever bored. Did I mention the chemistry was fantastic?

If you're wondering whether or not to give this a shot - I am begging you please do. I wasn't disappointed & I hope you won't be. PSJ is quite the eye candy.

Anyways, I only watch this drama because of PSJ. Truthfully speaking, It's a little bit boring on initial episodes. Kim Mi So is too hard to get and there are so many almost-kissed moments that it got me sick every time. But as it goes, the story becomes interesting for me. And I am liking it now. I like Kim Ji Ah and Chansung too. I'm shipping them! :) And as for the back story when they were young, is a good one too. Another factor why I'm waiting for the final episodes. WWWSK fighting!!!

But I think it’s the writing that bogs this drama down; it drags with side plots that I found boring and some ridiculous overacting that is so awful I skipped their scenes. The plot moves aimlessly at this point (ep 14), and almost at the end, I’ve lost interest and will only check in to see how they wrap it up, but without much investment. And I get so tired of the relentless fake chaste scenes in romcoms: these characters are healthy young people in their 30s. Of course they have sex, and without grown women behaving like little girls until they do. The brother subplot is so badly handled, it dissolves in unbelievable sloppiness. Yeah, this is not the best effort in KDrama, and PSJ is wasted because even his character is just not very interesting, despite the background we discover. I’m disappointed because it should have been so much better.

As a comedy about the challenges of flirting, dating and maintaining relationships among young people today it is pretty good! It is light-hearted and well-acted. As usual in Kdramas, the coming final episode will tell us how good and creative the screenwriter and the director really are...

We are in good hands with the two Parks as lead actors. Park Seo-Joon as a brilliant chaebol executive vice-president Lee Yong-Joon is suitably obnoxious and narcissistic at the start of the comedy. He is forced to improve over time as he struggles to relate with secretary Kim Min-So, who is also well acted by talented and versatile Park Min-Young. In "Queen for seven days" Park's role was totally different and quite deep. She acted beautifully. This fluffy drama seems to be fun for her - and for Park Seo-Joon.

Vice-president Lee's friend, subsidiary president Park Yoo-Shik (Kang Ki-Young) who is not at all a success in his own relationships tries to help and is fun. The entire cast does not take itself too seriously and acts well in the other relationships. They are enjoyable.. This easy going series works!

The only uncomfortable thing I found was the constant mentions of being demoted to India. It's sad to realise that a culture I admire so much low-key looks down on us. Paris, America, Spain, everywhere is good but India is a turn off. Breaks my heart. It's not even their fault as the knowledge and curiosity regarding India is not there and we are hugely misrepresented.

I mean everyone is free to express personal opinion about drama and acting of actors, unless comments are dirty. Different people, different opinions. It would be nice to write review about drama instead of creating fight. Synergy effect of PSJ and PMY, great teamwork of the whole cast, special appearances of amazing actors, like Jung Yu Mi, Jung So Min and many others resulted in a beautiful product. I was a bit disappointed by slowness of the past week's episodes, but still It's enjoyable to watch. I am exciting for the coming last two episodes, hope the writers will not disappoint!

She is not rude, she has her own special sense of humor, she makes jokes that probably some people don't understand and sometimes laughs hysterically about things that some will find not funny, including me. It seems that she and PSJ don't get jokes of each other. But at the end of the day it is their business how they get along with each other offcam. WSK is very good rom-com, cast and crew did great job. I love smiling eyes of PSJ and his adorable genuine smile. He is very charismatic actor, humble and witty. I am glad many people discovered him and other good actors through this drama.

I think It is unfair to bash PMY for her so call indifference or perceived rude behaviour on PSJ on BTS. She seems to have serious character and a very professional actress. Would one expect woman in 30s to act like a teenager? PSJ is a good actor but he seems to have 20s guy mentality than a mature man. All in all, definately one of the better light hearted drama in 2018 and i enjoy watching it

California gurl Jul 21 2018 7:13 pm This is a light hearted rom com. I find PMY very pretty and her acting is spot on. I like this onscreen couple a lot. Their visuals matches well. The BTS scenes we have scene are too short to make harsh judgements. I don’t think this show won’t be this successful if the actors and actresses didn’t work well together. I think PMY is a pleasant actress to work with. Fans will always have their bias but there’s really no need to bash somebody just because they don’t like a particular artist. I didn’t hate a single character in this drama. It was a sweet drama with gorgeous onscreen couple. I will miss this drama a lot. Wishing all the actors the best. PSJ and PMY look good together:) I love this drama a lot❤️

People who expect something deep and without cliche, this drama is not for you. As every romantic comedy this drama has cliche parts. I am astonished how they managed to make from simple ordinary plot a trendy and successful drama. Storyline is simple, yet has meaningful messages. I think one of the reasons many people were hooked on this drama is the chemistry between main leads, I personally find it really explosive. I like the way they showed how gradually their feelings to each other developed, it's neither fast, nor slow. What I like that despite hot kiss scenes they deliver real feelings, as a viewer I see that it's not only physical attraction between LYJ and KMS, but true feelings. Supporting cast did also great contribution to the success of this drama. This drama is simple, but somehow is very enjoyable. PSJ and PMY pairing was really great, both are professionals. I am probably wrong, but I have a feeling that despite great onscreen chemistry, PMY has some problems with PSJ. In bts of later episodes it's very obvious. My respect to PSJ, I see that he does his best to make the atmosphere on the set less tense, funny and enjoyable, but PMY is the one who makes it tense, the problem seems to come from her side. I think PMY is not an easy person to work with, I saw several times (not only in this drama) lack of manners from her side. Though I like very much their onscreen tandem, I don't think they want to work together again in the future. Anyway, I find this drama is worthy to watch. Episode 14 was heart-touching for me, there were moments I cried. Indeed, great teamwork!

Psj n pmy have such an undeniable chemistry. This drama may not be perfect if it is not for them as the main couple. Hope to see #parkparkcouple in another great tvn drama as lead also perhaps. This drama gonna be one of my all-time favourite dramas. Recommended for rom-com lovers!

This childhood story touched me, actually in real life it happens often, that parents lavish more attention to younger children. The older child becomes jealous and start to mock younger sibling, sometimes it can lead to a tragedy, as it was shown in this drama. I have seen similar situations in real life. I have learned something from this story. What I also like in this drama that the main leads, trow away their pride, find compromises, resolve misunderstandings immediately, without losing the time. I mean if you truly love somebody, anyway you will forgive him, why to lose precious time. I really liked it. Through this drama I discovered great actors, my favorites are Park Seo Joon and Kang Ki Young, the way they are acting is so natural. Chansung also surprised me. In my opinion Park Min Young's acting is believable, but I wish she acts more naturally, also her smiles sometimes seem not sincere. PMY told in an interview that Kim Mi So is a character, whom you want to be friends with, but I don't feel that. I see chemistry between Kim Mi So and Lee Young Joon, but I don't see chemistry between Kim Mi So and her sisters or colleagues, sometimes I find Kim Mi So is reserved. I noticed that close-ups are focused only on the left side of Kim Mi So, I find it strange, why always left side for close-ups? Even if she looks better from her left side, actress cannot always be filmed only from one side, it's exaggerating. And PMY told already that she doesn't care about angles and appearance while filming. I also like kiss scenes, but mainly thanks to Park Seo Joon, because he was leading the kisses and he did it good. I like that PMY showed response to kisses, because frequently in k-dramas girls during kiss scenes look like if somebody has scared them, without even moving the lips. I would not say that this is a must watch drama, but I found it worthy to watch.

SalveMaria Jul 13 2018 7:24 pm At the first few episodes, I suddenly felt like dropping this drama because it felt like I wouldn't contain the next episodes because of Young-Joon, Miso, and Sung-Yeon's past and such. But after few thinking, I watched again this drama and I don't regret it. I can say that one can contain this because the sad scenes and the happy scenes are balanced, which I can clearly say as a perfect drama. Also, Park Seo-Joon and Park Min-Young really achieved my expectations. Their acting skills, also the other casts, are so real that I can feel the writers' message in the story. I'll patiently wait for the next few episodes of this drama and I'm hoping for the happy ending of all the characters.

I've been attracted to Kang Ki Young since 'Oh My Ghost'. And wow, he looks good in suits here. Chansung & Kim Ji A (Pyo Ye Jin) is gold. After a few episode their chemistry is just overflowing! They made me laughed a lot too. Here comes the power couple, Bong Se Ra & Yang Cheol! This couple came out of nowhere and boom, chemistry flying everywhere. I didn't just laughed, I was howling! Bong Se Ra (Hwang Bo Ra) seems exaggerating but she grew on me since 'Borg Mom' and afterwards 'Miracle We Met'. To me it's her trademark.

Seo Joon is my Top 3 actors, so I was instantly bias to like this drama. But still I realised that the chemistry between the leads doesn't work as well as I anticipated.

Which is weird because Seo Joon is my fav & I love Min Young in her works. I love her in 'Healer' & 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal'. 'Queen for Seven Days' was cliche but I ended up loving it because I could feel the intense chemistry.

I still have not figured out why the chemistry was slightly lacking. I mean both are good actor/actress & there's nothing wrong with their acting.

The plot is very intriguing. Especially about their childhood & traumas. But the other casts are catching my attention more.

Currently 'Are You Human?' & 'Life on Mars' are also airing. I'm more excited & glued to the screen when watching these.

I really do hope the continuing storyline & ending will be awesome!

I like very much both leads and the supporting cast, I find it's a really great teamwork! I am nobody's fan, but I got to know great actors through this drama and will try to watch their other projects. I have watched many k-dramas, sometimes I find that the male lead is the one who expresses more chemistry, compared to the female lead and vice versa. But in this drama the chemistry is reciprocal and very beautiful, really not in every drama I have seen the chemistry between leads so great as in this drama. Hope main leads will have the opportunity to collaborate again in the future

The storyline is average and predictable. I like PMY but her “surprised “ facial expression to the sudden embrace leading to kissing situations look the same EVERYTIME. I don’t really blame her, the script has too many of those scenes and it’s overdose in my opinion and too cliché. The reason why this drama is popular is because of the eye candy. Personally I enjoy watching the actors who play the characters Park Yoosik and Bong Sera the most. They are the saving grace of this drama lol.

I’d say Fight for my way (for example) was so much better in terms of chemistry, storyline, plot. When you’ve been a true kdrama fan over a long span of time, this won’t be in your top 15 list even. But more like a feel-good drama to watch after a long day. It’s not so bad if you can accept cliches haha. And it’s aesthetically pleasing as well ?

And the up-point is the humor is really funny. Definitely my favorite drama of this year. Hope this drama will get many appreciations they really worthy deserved!

Sometimes, comedy can be hard to translate - literally. As in, the jokes don't work when its translated. But, on the site I'm watching it, its all coming through quite clearly, which is delightful.

While it has a predictability, in terms of likely outcome, the scenes are captivating.

The only character who throws me off a bit is Bong Se Ra because she feels so way overdone, while everyone else is the "quietly exaggerated for comedic effect" zone. Still, even she is growing on me.

The delivery of lines, with wonderful facial expressions and the entertaining sound effects is so much fun. I find the lead couple adorable. A fabulous mix of awkward and, yet, so familiar that they can recover. Also, their ability to go from seemingly stiff and formally detached to warm and connected is lovely.

The unfolding story of what really happened way back when leaves just enough mystery to keep you waiting for more details, even as we're pretty sure we get the general picture.

Its good, fun, easy watch for light entertainment.

The story is actually just ordinary one but they made it become so good. Park seo joon and Park Min Young are so into their characters as if they were really exist in real life. There is no scarry parents against the relationship, the heroine is not the one suffering poor economic condition ot terminal ill and also there is no unnecessary misunderstanding that make them part so long just to reunite at the end of the episodes. Love it and will stay tune till the end ...

Formula for storyline is cliche (sorry for saying this i.e. lousy script) and I don't find chemistry between the leads. plus, the pacing is slow and I could not engage with the drama despite watching a couple of episodes. good thing is I could save time from not watching this drama

I mean the only thing that's stereotypical in this drama that follows other dramas is that the leading male is a chaebol, CEO from a wealthy family and that's it. The leading lady Miso, is not an annoying, can't do anything to save her life, and come from a super sob sad poor family. I don't know if it's Minyoung the actress' doing but that's how she makes her character. Miso is actually very strong-willed, independent, and speaks her mind doing so eloquently with elegance and grace unlike other dramas where the main female is rude, obnoxious and complains about problems. OH did I mention that the main guy/CEO's wealthy family doesn't and I repeat, DOESN'T hate the female lead and actually like her a lot? What Romcom drama has that???

Anyways this drama is really fun, none of the characters I find that are too annoying and overbearing - aside from the one character that writers put in here that's made to purposely piss the audience off (Sungyeon). The writers did an awesome job for the casting of all the actors and actresses that's for sure, even the side characters are fun and enjoyable to watch. The pacing of character development is just right neither too slow or too fast, and the story plot line and back plot is really interesting so far. Can't wait to see where it leads. Definitely watch this and make this your summer drama!

The story is indeed not something extraordinary but the acting, direction, and the hidden messages are quite perfect in my opinion. I have read the Webtoon and it was also sugary, fluffy, full of romance... but there were also subtle hints of serious issues. Apart from the facts of childhood trauma and sibling rivalry, realistic suitability of the leads has also been highlighted well. Despite working like a robot each day for YJ, MS does not lose herself that much, she often tries to take care of her own wishes, strongly voices her opinions when necessary, naturally expresses her emotions at times and these aspects do compell narcissistic YJ to honor Mi So's hardwork, to want her more each moment. MS is indeed a strong, happy and independent woman and PMY plays her the best. For YJ, it is seen how vulnerable he can get at times even though he mostly brags of himself being the best, and he is quite the best actually (competent, handsome, rich etc) and PSJ is obviously the right pick for this role. Besides these leads, the secondary characters are also full of life who add fun, happiness and laughter among audiences. After "Because this is my 1st life", I was actually waiting for something like this: simple but gorgeous at the same time. Transforming something ordinary, something predictable into something joyous, funny and eyecatching is definitely not an easy task, I salute the director for this. Hope the drama will keep doing this well till the end.

PP Jun 24 2018 2:26 pm I am glad that PMY and PSJ play leads in this rom com. They perfectly fit their roles. PMY was emotionally exhausted after QFSD, where her character suffered and cried a lot. PSJ wanted to take break after action projects, his characters in his last projects Hwarang, Midnight Runners, FFMW required him to shoot many action scenes, which is very hard to do and physically exhausting. So, both wanted to chose as next project something light that will deliver refreshing entertainment. Since I like both actors, I was so glad that they came back in one rom-com :)

And if you follow the korean-english entertainment website, they always mention that this drama is very popular in korea right now. Spoiler: I think miso got the wrong person. I think the "oppa" she is looking for was actually Young-joon and not his brother Sung-yeon. Below are things that might prove it. 1. When Young-joon said to Miso that there are two persons who should not call him selfish/inconsiderate, one is Miso and the other one is his brother Sung-yeon. I was wondering why before but here's my guess Young-joon must have sacrifice himself or more like he baited the kidnapper away from Miso and his brother because among the nightmare of the three only Young-joon has a person in it, a girl in red if I remember it correctly. He was then caught and was tied with cable tires which explain his trauma towards it. 2.The reason why Young-joon hired Miso as his secretary. Despite there a lot more high profiled applicants, he hired her because she is Miso which suggests that he already know her. Also Miso once narrated that in their 1st meeting, Young-joon ask her who he was and Miso took it as him saying he is perfect and that he is the CEO's son but Young-joon must have been trying to say if she remember him.

There you have it guys my guess might also be wrong but what certain is that the three of them are equally involve in the kidnapping incident. Anyways I'm enjoying the drama so far.

It is a no brainer that is for sure. This is not a deep story. But the characters are beautiful and good actors despite the unbelievable plot line, and it really is amusing. Loved Chairman Lee agonizing over that grab and pickup stuff doll game. This show may not go down in the history books but it is charming.

Young Jun 23 2018 3:13 am This is a very good summer rom-com. Compared to previous works of leading actors there is not much skin ship as in FFMW or in Healer, but there are many long stares.

What I noticed from off-screen scenes PMY is in general touchy-feely person, she really likes to touch and stay close while talking to her costars. I hope it doesn't bother her costars, as some people feel uncomfortable or awkward being touched.

WSK Jun 22 2018 4:18 am I agree with some comments about the scenes, where the main leads stare at each other for a long moment, such scenes become quite frequent (especially necktie tying) and no wonder some people start to find them boring. Also I find female lead stands way too close than it is necessary to the male lead at some moments during necktie tying or wound treatment. I find it a bit exaggerating. As I have heard the scriptwriter was changed, so I hope new writers will improve it.

Overall, I find this tv series very refreshing. Both leads and supporting cast are professionals. During the press conference for WSK Park Min Young said that Park Seo Joon is a natural born actor. This is truth, whatever role he is playing, his acting is so natural, he really knows how to use his body and voice, he is not afraid to show emotional nakedness and he keeps to surprise. He is indeed great actor and I think this is only beginning for him, he will be even greater. Park Min Young is getting better and better with each new role. Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon are both known for the great chemistry with their costars. It doesn't matter with whom Park Min Young is paired the chemistry is always on fire. The same for Park Seo Joon, he creates sparks with all his costars. That's why people ship them with every new film partner.

I also like the personalities of both leads. Park Seo Joon seems to be considerate, caring and modest and hi has such a genuine smile. I watched behind the scenes of some projects of Park Min Young and one reality and one variety show with her. She is always so playful, likes to tease her costars, and at the same time very considerate and hardworking. She is a real energizer and seems to have cool personality.

For those, who love romantic comedies, I highly recommend this series. It's pity that there are only two episodes per week. If you want to watch something good in between, I would suggest you to watch other projects of the main leads. Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon are known to pick good projects. Their past projects were all successful or got positive reviews. The names of these actress and actor for me are associated with the projects of a good quality! Enjoy guys WSK!

And if you see peoppe saying anything about chemistry and stuff, its a lie. The chemistry and plot of this drama are totally binge worthy. Ao go ahead and watch it.

And to people commenting on how the story is not deep or something, I think you need to understand that the story is yet to unfold. There are two episodes so far and the main characters are still establishing their backstories. If you've watched episode 2, you should understand that PSJ's character isn't just about being an arrogant and proud boss. And that PMY's character mentioned a lot of things that we should look forward too.

Watching Park Min Young's acting in WWWSK I see Kim Mi So that I imagined while reading this webtoon. I discovered Park Min Young through "Queen for Seven Days", which is very beautiful but heartbreaking drama. At that time I was impressed with her acting but now I like her even more. The way Park Seo Joon portrayed Lee Young Joon is a bit different from Lee Young Joon that I have imagined while reading the webtoon. He created his own unique Lee Young Joon and I like his Lee Young Joon even more than the one from the webtoon. The chemistry between leads is great. Supporting cast is awesome, especially I like Kang Ki Young as Park Yoo Sik. I think production staff did great job. It was worth to wait. So far there is only one thing that I didn't like about this drama: it is aired only 2 days a week. I enjoyed both episodes, the most memorable scene for me is the neck-tie tying scene with sunrise in the background. I like such kind of intimate scenes more than kiss scenes.

Park Min Young and Park Seo Joon show a great acting.
