Geum-Bok (Shin Da-Eun) is ashamed of her mother (Jeon Mi-Sun) who works as a street cleaner. Her mother, as a single mother, has worked hard to support Geum-Bok. Geum-Bok's feelings for for her mother begin to change. On their first trip, Geum-Bok's mother disappears and Geum-Bok is now all alone.

anna Feb 06 2018 2:40 pm I don't even watch this drama in full, just here and there and the ending, I already feel pissed off for Moon-Hyeok, even though I don't know his character in full depth lol I have never seen a main female character going back and forth with 2 male characters before. They totally screwed MH over in the end. Poor guy. Glad I didn't watch it in full or else I would be even more angry.

Hahaha, look at that ahjuma with stiletto heels chasing after car. She's a super pro at running with toothpick under her feet.

Lynn Ong Mar 16 2017 5:20 am This is one Korean show, I do not look forward too. I stopped in between episodes and it still repeat the usual scenes. Looking for evidence for revenge. If they get the clue, can duplicate or send by whatsapp to the rest. Why need to keep one tiny device and make repeated scenes. It is so obvious the bad people will steal them. Then another evidence will pop up and this will drag the show again. Very tiring watching this drama. Also, all the male characters, old and young go after the less pretty women. I continue to watch the last episode to see how silly this show is.

Jack Mar 16 2017 3:52 am Hahaha I gotta agree with the reviews below (who else are Singaporean viewers who watch this on Channel U, raise your hands!). This is one of the most ridiculous, draggy and dumb Korean family drama I have watched to date. Every episode is about the characters rushing from one point to the other trying to grab hold of the evidences or to eavesdrop what their enemies are talking about. I lost count of the number of scenes where the characters chased after the enemies' car. I mean, cmon (Geum Bok I'm talking about you) you have been chasing cars almost every day surely your running would improve but why on earth would you still lose the car?!?! And I believe car camera has only been a thing in recent years, don't fool the viewers with all the car camera shit from ten years back!!!!!!!!!!!!

N.L Mar 14 2017 1:17 pm This drama is so ridiculous. It seem that everyone can attacked an accused as and when they like. And kidnapping a woman in their home is legal? Doesn't make sense at all.

The female lead was emotionless right from the beginning of the show. I don't know if it was because of her lack of acting skills or director wanted her to be stoned face, even when the scene itself need some emotion. That was why i just wasn't able to relate to her. After she found her mother, she became high and mighty, pesky and unreasonable-like.

The way she bounced between the two guys was a huge turn off too. The show tried to make her out to be a highly independent person. But from the way i see it, it seem like she might die without a man 24/7, or she only cling onto the guy who could be useful to her at the moment in finding her mum/fighting against the accused. Yet at the same time, she has the usual stone-face when interacting with both guys while dating. And it's not even a usual dating situation. She barely talk about her day, anything that comes out of her mouth is about her mum. Otherwise, she's quiet and look confused. Maybe South Korea guys prefer their women that way?

I have been skipping some episodes because of the way the actress acted in the show. Would have dump this series for good if it wasn't for the fact that the rest of the cast were more or less on point with their acting.

For revenge drama, this is a very lousy show, no thanks to the female lead. If not for the fact of the great job by the rest of the cast, i would place it as the worst. I expected something like the drama "Cheongdamdong Scandal" quality. Where the cast were awesome and the female lead was likeable from beginning to end.

Lynn Mar 12 2017 3:49 am I strongly agree with Mike, CNM and Lee Re Yeoung. This is the worst Korea drama. Not only dragging, no logic, and many times a character can just pops up out of nowhere. Things can be heard so far away and repeating threats, it is boring.

Mike Jun 06 2016 7:01 pm I thought I had finished commenting on this drama but seeing that CNM is in agreement, I just could not resist the temptation to submit (hopefully!) this last one. I am not familiar with Korean customs but it appears to me that this particular drama has gone a long way past fiction! Again, I am bewildered by some of the things that went on in ep. 117, where the character Park Ye-Ryeong presumably twists her ankle while the three of them (Baek Ri-Hyang, Cha Mi Yeon) are fleeing from authorities in the parking structure. As Park Ye-Ryeong falls and is unable to continue, ALL the authorities converge on her as the other two make their escape. I mean, weren't THEY the main culprits that authorities should have been chasing? Again, instead of taking Park Ye-Ryeong to the police station (remember, she's already out on bail for a prior crime!), she is brought to the Kang house. While there, she decides to make a run for it, but suddenly her ankle injury is non-existent - so much so that she is not only able to outrun Hwang Geum Bok, but she's also able to outrun Kang Moon Hyeok, who has irritated me thoroughly playing the dumbfounded mute. Park Ye-Ryeong runs into a fruit wagon along the way but is still able to get up and continue outrunning these two until (Lo' and Behold!) another character (Kim In Soo) pops up out of the blue to catch her. I am unable to let my common sense take a back seat while watching all of this - again, I'm watching this drama just to torture myself - so I feel like strangling my TV set while these things continually happen. I only have this one last week left to watch as the drama comes to an end, but I do hope that, as CNM stated, the writer of this half-baked drama come up with a better script the next time around.

CNM Jun 03 2016 4:50 pm Totally agree with Mike! This is not a drama but a comedy of baffoons, or a better comparison would be a rat running in one of those wheels with no end! The characters come across as totally clueless, lame with a lot of overacting! How can they not get to the point and figure out anything but just run around in circles! Each episode has been so annoying and unbelievable! Every one goes off on their own with no police assistance! These types of dramas only support the fact that the rich greedy Koreans can get away with everything! But a drama of 125 episodes is just plain ridiculous! I hope the writer Ma Joo-Hee reads these comments and polishes up his future drama scripts!

I cannot believe that this would ever be considered a top Korean drama - I liken it to a comedy show parody of the old black and white dramas, complete with close-ups of melodramatic facial expressions, the injection of dramatic music, the sudden appearance of a character or characters out of the blue to refute or question (AGAIN!) another character, the refusal to include the police in any of the obvious crimes being committed, continued trespassing (especially when the character or characters are enemies of the patrons') and the increasingly annoying open-ended questions being asked by one character to another, in regards to all of the obvious crimes that have been committed. I don't blame the actors at all - they are doing as they're being directed. I just hope that they don't have to add this to their resume because it could very well end up being a career-killer.

I agree that it is repetitive and consistently dragging a short story into lenghty 300 page essay per episode. The actors are doing their job if you hate, root, love or feel any type of empathy for them. Starting to get disinterested since it is taking too long, and justice replaced revenge-revenge is there but continuing to be held over your head like a carrot. Keep this up and the statue of limitations will kick in. Also, to the people that are seriously ignorant; I'm referring to the comments stating my the the main actress is short and plump? Are you serious?do you only have 1 eye? I'm hoping thats the case and your not as vain as your comment. I personally think the actresses are too skinny. But regardless you shouldn't talk about others looks. Stop with this preschool name calling crap, and get a life outside of dramas. You should be ashamed of yourself. Tsk tsk Tsk.

It appeared that the script writer tried to drag it way too much...I only started watching from episode 60 ish in channel "ONE" in Indonesia, and I already thought that there were too much scene where the people dragging other people's hands from inside out or outside in room or some other events...or spying from outside of the room...or following one person from one place to another place....that was not necessary at all.....

Only if this was made in 40 episodes not more, it would have been better. The story line was there...but too much garbage put in the story.....

I don't mind Geum Bok married with In Woo, since In Woo was very patient and a good man too....He and his family loved Geum Bok and her Mum patiently...

christina Feb 01 2016 10:16 pm The reason I continue watching this drama is mainly due to the casts. The story basically is not too bad but like many long dramas, many episodes are not necessary...one latest example is when Geum-Bok's phone rang when she saw Ye-Ryeong burning the flyers...she was not revealed then but why then did she had to bring those half burnt flyers to the office to confront Yi-Ryeong? If she had wanted to confront her, she can do so at the burning site. I think Shin Da-Eun is pretty and sweet...look at those almond shaped eyes. She's petite while Lee Elijah should be considered short because by her shoulders and overall size, she should be taller than 166. Anyway, she's on heels most of the shots so viewers tend to think she's taller. From celebrities point of view, Lee Elijah is quite stereotyped....to be villain. Both male leads are very tall, so it didn't give the female leads any credits when heights are concerned. Lee Hye-Sook is really good at her character as Mi-Yeon...she can be both good and bad and did every character well. I first saw her in City of glass and when I saw her here, I almost can't believe myself that she can be that bad.... :0

She looks like a minion, so short, and not pretty at all. It looks like they grabbed a random girl on street and made her an actress. Besides, she already has boyfriend, but keeps on clinging to other guy, and wants to have both guys. What the....

Meanwhile, l really like Yi-ryeong. Her eyes and dark long hair make her look seductive yet innocent. She's more eye candy to watch. l could understand why she became like this. She's a victim, and survivor. But l was hoping she wouldn't fall in love with either guys.

I really like this drama though yes they tend to drag the storyline when it doesn't need to be dragged on and on. I still like it very much though, Shin Da-Eun and Jeon Mi-Sun, their chemistry as mother (Eun-Sil) and daughter (Geum-Bok) is very real. It made me cry a lot!
