He brought gravitas, sexiness, and a delicious arrogant charm to the character. You know he was bad, he should pay for his betrayal of Pi-young, but you want him to be forgiven. Now that’s skill. I could not wait for the 3rd season so I could spend more time with him, only to find this gorgeous strapping man had been replaced by a small inadequate caricature of Dr. Shin. It is very disappointing, I almost stopped watching. But I love this show and am already invested in many of the characters. They should have gone above and beyond to keep Lee Tae-Kon. This is the first time i have seen this actor in "A Well Raised Daughter" and i have to say .. he is magnificent (please forgive me sounding like a teenager) but i am in awe. He did an AMAZING job. I would have mistook him for one of the top actors in South Korea. He definitely belongs there. It's surprising he did not do more work. Again, I think he did such an amazing job that it is unforgettable. He pulled off his role and he did such a great job that I wouldn't want to see anyone else doing it. He was simply the best. I watched this drama, and vicariously I was totally involved in every scene. I cried with you, I was jubilant when King Gwanggaeto was victorious in battle, I was sad when he lost his wife, I hated KoUn, and I desperately wanted to kill Fengba. It was an interesting historical series which made me and many of my friends in Nigeria understand the struggles and successes of the Korean people in the days of old. You acted your role with passion and character. I thought you were going to spare Gae Yeon Su's life after he plotted treason, knowing how many culprits you left off the hook: Murong Bao, Seol Doan, Seol Ji etc. But you shouldn't have allowed Sagal Hyeon to die in Gwammiseong. I love that guy so much. He was so committed to serving you. Anyway, you are so good and I love all your theatrics during the series. I look forward to watching more of your collections.
