Forensic doctor Baek Beom (Jung Jae-Young) has doubts about Oh Man-Sang's death. Baek Beom tries to uncover the truth on whether Oh Man-Sang really died or not. Meanwhile, Eun Sol (Jung Yoo-Mi) has grown from a rookie prosecutor and still works with Baek Beom. Do Ji-Han (Oh Man-Seok) is a prosecutor who cooperates with Baek Beom and Eun Sol .

Prosecutor Do Ji-Han are my fav character too in this drama. So glad he have more screen-time & even winning awards for his brilliant acting in here along with No Min-Woo.

I know this is a crime-thriller drama & romance is not the main focus in here (although side characters have more lovey-dovey scene than main characters ?) but I really like the chemistry between Prosecutor Do Ji-Han & Prosecutor Eun-Sol. At first, I was shipping Dr Baek with Eun-Sol but after watching two seasons of this drama, I can say I like Ji-Han & Eun-Sol chemistry more than Dr Baek & Eun-Sol.

And, yes. Just like others, I also can't wait for Season 3. Idk if there are season 3 or not but it is really be a bad idea to leave the story hanging like that. I can accept if it is 'open ending' but it's not. There are many unsolved cases & even the bad guys didn't get caught so I hope the director & writer-nim can make Season 3 to do a proper closure for all of the characters involved.

Cons: 1. They need to differentiate the main job between prosecutors and detectives 2. Beom isn't some kind of God who will know who's the prepetrator so there's no need to wait for his autopsies for hours or rush him to end his autopsies 3. Eun Sol, just please do something

This series captivate my attention this two-weeks in row. And I can see the lead character shifting from Prosecutor Eun to Prosecutor Do and I don't mind it. I think the relationship between dr. Baek and Prosecutor Do more dynamic than with Prosecutor Eun. All dr. Baek said to Prosecutor Eun just : Naga! Out! Or Don't write a novel ... hahahhaha. And I wondered with Prosecutor Eun's team. Why these three love spent their time in NFS and always grouping? They barely works. Instead they sigh a lot and keep protesting NFS performance . They're so noisy and annoyed me the whole series..

Anne Aug 25 2022 8:11 pm Yas! Still not perfect, but S2 characters have gotten a lot lot better. There was character development for the FL, and the ML has become more humane! Professor Ma is also becoming likeable. I love the character of No Min-woo, he's such a beautiful, albeit complicated person in the story. And with his acting, he deserves more shows. It has kept me guessing, and I still had takeaways lessons in Science. It also offers a different kind of humor. Waiting for season 3 and No Min-woo, Stephanie Lee, and Lee Yi-Kyung's come back :)

chwe Apr 07 2022 8:07 pm I always have the urge to give up on this drama same as with S1. I get that dramas are sometimes exagerrated realities but oh my god this is too much. Either the actors are so bad at acting out their roles or their direction was just not right. The scriptwriters and the rest of the staff probably did not research well because in ep 3, they used a defilbrator on someone with their clothes still on. It's so bad I want to stop watching. Although there are some rewarding moments on the drama when the production team gets it right.

With her attitude, I don’t think she’s fit to be a prosecutor. Also, I don’t think she is the ace in this series. Everyone is praising her but the fact is she did nothing. She just waited in the autopsy room. Lol. The one who did the job done like finding the evidence are NFS and Mr.Do. All she did is to be at the scenes and look around, presenting and watching autopsy being done. But, she’s got the name and praises, every singles solved crime.

Mara Aug 15 2021 2:02 am I liked Season one more, with the fleshing out of the different characters, particularly the two leads. I also liked the team-up of Stella and Lt. Cha, so I was disappointed they were let go on the second season, where we see the addition of a Goth princess masquerading as a knowledgeable lab tech, and a band drummer flexing his acting chops as an angsty doctor doing nasty stuff. As mentioned by another reviewer, the prosecutors in the second season are playing detectives and constantly running around to catch the culprits. I miss seeing them in the courtroom, such as in the first season. The lead character is being his usual annoying self that it gets to be a bore at times, and the stories seem to drag on unnecessarily. Hopefully if the writers and producers stretch it to a third season it will be more exciting and fast-paced.

Eggy Jun 21 2021 12:47 pm Why r the prosecutor acting like detectives? Where's the detectives that were supposed to investigate the cases? It looked like they r more like a bunch of detectives, rather than prosecutors. I'm in ep 6 now and there's hardly any court scenes.

Also, the prosecutors are running everywhere catching criminals & always present in every autopsy. It's so weird. The writer need to distinguish the roles better.

The Dr. Sally lady's English. Can't they just make her a native Korean? Why make her an English speaking character when she couldn't speak English well? I had to constantly rewind several times, whenever she spoke in lengthy English, because her pronunciation is just not accurate. I hope that they would bring Dr. Stella back. She's more pleasant and speaks well. Dr. Sally acts like a bully, its frustrating to watch.

Baek still needs a bit of character development and we need to see that Gal guy get shitted on.. and the Lawyer team with that inspector, Do and Jang like it doesn't make any sense to have such an open ending to not have a s3.

All the casts in the two seasons were just great and very talented. The storylines in Season Two was equally great like in Season One. Very dramatic and twisted storylines and yet very enjoyable to watch. I was so excited when there was Season Two after I finished watching the Season One. I hope there will be Season Three with all the actors and actresses in Season One and Two combined. Truly amazing and inspiring films. Please be a Season Three because this film is a worth to watch.

For me it's probably the main characters are already well-acquainted so I don't have to watch the first few draggy episodes where they try to get to know each other. The cases are also interesting. I hope they will have the 3rd season with the same casts and more interesting cases. And make sure they catch the bad guys.

JJY is cold as ice as Dr Baek, but total ace in his job! The only time I want to smack him is when he didn't care about Deputy Chief Do haha.. since I like Oh Man Suk alot (this guy has the most soothing voice!!) Making No Minwoo as Dr K is a good choice, it's always nice to have cute guy as the baddie. Thumbs up drama.

Sun Feb 05 2020 11:07 pm One of the bear crime/law/medical drama that I've ever watched. I really love Baek Beom's character. He didn't go around throwing groundless accusations. He only stated fact after he confirmed it by himself. This is a good attitude for someone who worked in his field. (Though he actually could share his intelligence with his colleagues so that they could find the conclusion together). With the ending, perhaps season3 is in the making. I like that the writer gave us a scene where Prosecutor Gal tripped on his feet and felt down the stair after receiving his award. That actually gave the viewers some satisfaction even tho hus crimes were still couldn't be revealed to the world yet. Make sure to catch him in s3!!! And now that we knew Jang Cheol/Dr.K didn't commit murder (but he was an accomplice), his character nature will change in s3. Maybe he will join hands with Baek Beom and Eun Seol.

The only thing that I'm dissapointed with is that there's almost none interaction between Baek Beom and Eun Seol. Both of them were the core characters of this drama and this drama originally was about their cooperation in solving the crimes. Eun Seol only appeared in non-major scenes.

Daamnn!! Eun sol is so ready to take revenge for Do Ji han. I really hope MBC can hire a new director so that this series could continue. I want to see Eun sol crushing Prosecutor Pig feet and I'm really curious of what Do Jihan and Dr K is up to by teaming up together. I'm also looking forward for more scenes with Eun sol and Baek Beom. They have great chemistry but there are so little interactions between them this season. Thank you for another great season to all the people involved in making this drama!! Praying that we can meet again next year :))

This corruption goes to the top and needs to be taken down. Someone in the comments asked why the cops have to do everything the Prosecutors say. I learned that in Korea Prosecutors are a highly esteemed profession and not taken lightly.

I loved that ending. Hopefully now that Jang Cheol is on the right side of the law he can get his proper medicines to control the multiple personalities. I love how they set up that trio.

She never disobey order, she never being emotional, and she believe that finding solution is the main key in solving matter. What makes it cooler is the fact that she didn't do anything but the evil side just seems to be digging their own grave and face the consequences.

I also compare it to real world, this is how the real world works, people like Eun Sol, whos working dilligently sooner or later finding the solution, while the evil one, all the evil things will come back to them sooner or later. Greed will never enough and they ended up destroying themselves.

Anyway, still Eun Sol are lucky to have Baek Bom.

P/s: I don't know why, I keep shipping Eun Sol with Do Ji Han. I know most people disagree, but I like their chemistry with Eun Sol seems to always understand and believe in Do Ji Han and also Do Ji Han always depend on Eun Sol on everything. As for Eun Sol and Baek Bom, they are more like another different kind of chemistry.

I really liked his relationship with Seohyun and her mother. And his past child abuse case isn't helping me hate him either.... all in all I honestly want to hug him when he's changing personalities. It makes me so curious as to what the court rulings are for patients with DID. Baek Beom is extraordinary as usual. Love to see him do his thing.

It is nice how they present forensic science, however, other circumstances are not realistic enough like how the police are just like slave dogs for the prosecution - the police just do whatever the prosecutor said (Hey! They're not their boss) Another thing, I don't know how it's done in S. Korea but I don't it's the job of the prosecution to do the manual & labor in apprehending the suspect.

The character Song Ji-soo is played by Kim Ji-sung and according to her filmography on this site she was in The Banker and Voice 3 recently.

Season 2 has been so much better than season 1. Not exactly brilliant, but a mostly solid police procedural with good teamwork between the NFS and the prosecutors, and much fewer plot holes and much less nutty melodrama than season 1. Couldn't stand Eun Sol last season, but the character has improved immensely this season. It would be great to have at least another season. Or maybe 2 more seasons. Even better, a crossover with Special Labour Inspector Jo Jang-poong, MBC's other big Mon-Tues success. Baek Beom and Jo Jin-gab would get along like a house on fire!

I’m glad part 2 came out and even better suspenseful storyline and evil villain. I’ve enjoyed watching the handsome No Min Woo who plays Dr. Jang as his character is a bit like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I’ve seen No Min Woo from other drama but he has evolved himself into a very dashing man.

However, I am just confuse if why are the doctors are getting involve in solving cases ? I know that they are part of the forensic team but it is so unusual that prosecutors and doctors are having a bigger part in solving cases than police officers and detectives.

But overall, this drama is so good and satisfying. If you also love crime dramas, you should also watch:

The moment he told Dr Han about seo hyun being abused, I know he is a good person but have multiple personality disorder. He is not a bad person and please don't make him into a true villain. I haven't finished watching the episodes yet, but I hope Dr. Baek Beom trust him.

ranny francisco Jun 19 2019 3:40 am Very exciting drama since episode 1, and is getting more exciting by the day. Superb casting except Eun Sol who is lagging behind. All she does is just to open her mouth. She has no expression at all. Dr. Baek is so good in his role since day 1. Do Ji Han has depth. Sally Kim is cute though the characterization is inconsistent. Jang Sung joo is very funny. Seems everyone works really hard to put up this very nice drama.

yes,hes name is No Min Woo.He is an actor and musician. He played at drums in a rock band named TRAX (SM ) ( he even composed songs for the band my favorite is "Over the Rainbow " (the lyrics are so beautiful) in 2004, and left the band two years later.He can play at drums,guitar(and bass guitar),piano and even at saxophone ? I've also heard he played violin , but I'm not sure of that, maybe it's true(he is musically talented if he can play all this instruments).? He played in a lot of dramas : "My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox", "Midas","Full House Take 2","The Greatest Marriage" and "My Unfortunate Boyfriend" ? He has an account on instagram icon_stagram ( you can find him with this name ? ) and he is super adorable and hot.?

jess Jun 06 2019 2:24 am The opening episodes are much better than the first few episodes of season 1. I don't miss Lee Yi-kyung or Stephanie Lee that much. Couldn't stand Jung Yu-mi's Eun Sol last season, but was very impressed by how she handled the sexual harassment case in season 2 ep1-4. Jung Jae-young is as brilliant as before as Baek Beom.

BTW, I think it's possible to watch this season without having seen the last one. You don't need to know much about the characters to understand how they go about solving each crime. And all you need to understand about the Oh Man-sang case from last season is that his death might have been faked by his chaebol family just before they arrested him.

Season 1 was quite open ended and I was hoping Baekbeom and Eunsol relationship slightly more than that. I hope it will be in Season 2, plus all cast are my favorite, cant wait for Oh ManSeok premium acting and I wonder what kind of character No Minwoo will play. Yeay!!
