Eun-Jung (Lee Min-Young) was raised by a mother who shined shoes for a living. She marries Sung-Jae (Song Jae-Hee), but Eun-Jung falls into trouble from her husband and mother-in-law. Eun-Jung loses everything, but she works her way from the way bottom to become a success.

utami Mar 18 2016 2:49 am I just watched episode 50, but only watched it from 30 ish not from the beginning...I am not keen into watching a long drama ever...so when I knew that it had 121 episodes, I looked at the drama review in Asiawiki...

Based on your reviews....well...not far from my first assumption then...that this drama had too many trivia to make it a long drama, little things that should not be included...I don't understand why they needed to do that for? Just make a it short but good....and worth watching......

I thought Eun Jung is the angel....but I was surprised that most of reviewers said she is not one at all....but most of you liked Yoo Ra and Sung Jae.....? Why....??? until 50 episodes, they were the baddies.........was it turned somewhere?

angry Feb 01 2015 1:45 am phew...this drama is finally over in my country. Not sure what is Kim Tae-Soo crime actually except that we keep seeing him moving around in the prison. If it is for giving false information, many other characters also did that.

But one person who played a big part in the crime got away completely. It is Sung Jae university friend, prosecutor of the trial.

Anyway glad it is over....i am afraid if it drag a little longer, i may end up smashing my TV. :-(

She seems to have the gene of her mother. EUN JUNG. She so busy to meet with SUNG-JAE and cried to make sure that as human cannot afford to make mistake to judge another human being. The director has shown us how exactly LEE JOON-HYEOK was actually accidentally lost his balance. A ‘law’ or ‘truth ‘should not be replaced by ‘money’. This show is trying to tell us that “money work for us and not we work for money.”

After sun Jae was given the verdict, why is Eun Jung so busy to meet with sun Jae and cried. She also met Kim Tae Su. Why is Eun Jung so busy with unnecessary thing when she has to work as though she has a lot of time being a busybody. Sun Jae is not her husband. The person should be seeing sun Jae is Yura not Eun Jung. If she still has feelings for sun Jae, she should not married joon Ha. Joon Ha, your wife is not behaving well. Director should punish Kim Tae Su as he changes his statements so many times. How can he be let off the hook? I stop watching the whole episode but keep switching channel as this drama can be meaningless.

angry Jan 28 2015 8:34 am This drama don't make sense at all. Only one thing make sense. In this world, there is no clear cut good or bad people. Each of us have a devil and angel inside us. So, what Sung Jae did were just to protect himself. Eun Jung too is not all angel. Her hatred and intent on taking revenge is very human.

If need to choose a man of the match, i would think it should go to Sung Jae. He alone, with nothing, is fighting everyone and have gone so far is really remarkable. Even though he finally succumb to overwhelming odd. I would think he has won.

running man2 Jan 26 2015 2:54 am So much admiration of Yoo-Ra (Han Da-Min) & Eun-Byul(Oh Cho-Hee) but less of Hee-Jin (Jung Si-Yeon) the poor widow. Not meant to be spoiler, the ending is good. However as in many Korean dramas, the final episode good tidings are normally brief and fast. Would like to also mention Kang So Ra of Ugly Alert (drama finished months ago) and Misaeng showing in TV8 now. Kang So Ra is striking I think. Ossie Ahim Jan 24 2015 9:13 am Though this drama is now still dragging , some how it is still worthwhile watching because in my country, the Korean drama is not a plentiful. Duly agreed with some commentators herein that one of the lead characters Eun Jung is indeed a let down. Her feeling towards Sun Jea is still intact despite being cheated ill-treated by him and his evil family for some time. Other wise why there was a need to bring large amount of money to be handed over to an evil like sun jea and to be utilized and therfeafter used by him in other place in order to lead a normal life. This is a sickening part going here and there without informing her husband.. It is also unbelievable to think that Sun Jae was given a lee way trying to dislodge the course of justice before being charged and put to trial in court. As commented earlier it is inherently incredible to believe, when Sun Jae was in the midst of investigation and/or still under police remand, his family members and other enemy were to free to meet in such a situation. From this drama, it shows the standard of Korean Police which I did not believe.

running man2 Jan 23 2015 2:14 am Well said, totally agreeable Eun Jung was a let down - taking huge amount of cash quietly to Sun Jae despite the latter obnoxious past of crime or evil deeds. What was she trying to do, taking cell phone calls in the middle of the nite hiding from Joon Ha? Yu Ra is the star & deserving empathy, so is Hee Jin. Hope Soon Shim & Han Shim get married eventually. Now here comes the biggest Korean drama joke (happened in other dramas) : If the accused falls sick while in remand, he is allowed full medical attention as well as a MRI on the next day in a 5-star hospital amid lax security. What a blatant joke! Hope this is not happening in Korea! Any response Kim Jung Min? Episode 109 was most stupid among the stupid episodes - Despite 3 detectives assigned, Sung Jae could hoodwink them & escape while handcuffed, assisted by Gwang Ja haha. There should be a scene where the 3 moron detectives are screwed by their boss left right & center explosively!!!

Kdrama Jan 22 2015 9:42 am This is the worst drama. Even towards the end of the drama, Eun Jung's character does not show her intelligence. Although Angel Revenge is also a dragging drama, the lead character, lady nun is very pretty, attractive and mature. She acted extremely well in the show. Yura is pretty and I like her accessories. Yura is childish and not remorseful but at least she loves Sun Jae very much. You can see her sadness when Sun Jae is taken to prison. Her tears and facial expressions show she tries to hide her feelings although she feels cheated. Eun Jung does not portray as a good wife to Joon Ha. How can she quietly meet Sun Jae without telling Yura who is Sun Jae's wife and Joon Ha her husband. She is not truthful to her husband and hide things from him as though she is so innocent. Eun Jung you need to quit acting like that. Be natural and practical. I really do not like Eun Jung 's character. I hope the director made Yura wake up and admit her mistakes. Eun Jung is really stupid in helping Sun Jae without others knowledge by taking the cash to him. Eun Jung you are not an angel. Be real.

I may tend to believe that some of the characters are useless and predictably stale or damn stupid. The drama also shows eventually evil people shall be punished whilst still alive in this earthly world and God need not to wait after your demise. The drama also shows a typical unscrupulous mother will breed evil children. The drama is yet to conclude and now I find it getting better. Congratulation to the directors and TV crew. .

angry Jan 19 2015 9:44 am hahaha....i just like to see all the losers chasing ghosts in this drama. Those fools can just fainted over small things and stayed unconscious for day. Compared to Kang, he was hit on the head with a big stick and was up and walking the next day and can even arranged a board meeting all in one night which all the fools failed to do when Kang was in jail for a few days.

Kang is naturally the chosen one.

Yes, agree Yu Ra looks good but the close up shot show some flaw in her complexion.

I guess so too, that korea should be like most developed countries, where it won't be easy to get police to leak evidence of a crime under investigation, prosecutor to drop charges or to charge the innocent or a judge to make a bias judgement. Very often too from drama, doctor can manipulate DNA result etc which i find most unbelieveable.

So when writing a drama and in order for the story to flow along the plot, the scriptwriter may need created these false situations. In so doing, not doing justice to the Korean's society.

In so doing, it is not doing the society a service.

To pass U entrance exam is a matter of life & death. Drama-wise - more dramatic than Hollywood I think e.g. Ugly alert, That winter when d wind blows, Giant, King of ambition, Temptation, Roomate, My love from another star etc. Surely u hv 1) divorce 2) accidents 10 years ago, retrial hero wrongly charged 3) one little girl or boy to attach to d divorced (man usually) 4) oxygen tank in emergency room surrounded by squabbling family members 5) A Chairman decides fate of his son/daughter but son/daughter goes ahead with his/her love, supported by mum. 6) Girl falls on the road and caught by handsome boy (lead character) etc.etc. Enjoy 피노키오 Pinocchio starring Lee Jong Suk as Choi Dal Po, Park Shin Hye as Choi In-Ha haha.....

Soon-Shim despite her age still warm & charming. Eun Byul the youngest though with a lot plastic surgery is the prettiest. An upcoming actress. Sung-Jae (Jae Hee) is a jerk & sucks in character. I won't play this role if asked to.

angry Jan 13 2015 10:01 am This drama can be completed in 50 episodes. But they somehow managed to drag it to 120 episodes by adding lots of near misses, chasing around for evidences and other irrelevant things etc.... as a result the characters, particularly the 'good guy' look weak and stupid.

Actually there is no contest if not for some sheer luck, it is long drawn conclusion.

Yu Ra character is pretty admirable. She will love all her might but will also fight all her might for things she don't see injustice about. Well sadly she does fight all her might for things that she wanted selfishly for herself too.

I agree with some comments here .. That Eun Jung isn't as kind hearted as portrayed. She had too much vengeance in her..that sometimes I do ask... Is she or can she still love others sincerely? For the photos on Eun Bul accident, she has no qualms to put Yu Ra to shame in front of a board meeting though they could have privately talk about it. Would a kind hearted person do that?

When Yura turned herself in for causing the accident, how can Eun Jung went to police station and caused a mess. She is the sister-in-law. She should act like a good daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Vengeance is all over her. She does not have a big heart. It looks like a wicked person hiding behind a veil. Cinderella on the outward but a wicked person inside with ulterior motive. Secondly, this drama portrays badly on korean culture. Sung Jae went into Eun Jung room, close the room door to speak to her. This is outrageous. It can be construed wrongly and very disrespectful especially in a family home. Even western culture, an open minded culture does not practice this. This drama really lost its viewers as the plot is really out. Third, anyone can speak freely or enter the ICU. Anyone can quarrel and argue in a hospital where patients are fighting for their lives. This is so ridiculous. I hope directors produce good storyline and a realistic one. Otherwise, korean drama will lose its viewers.

She is so stupid to keep quiet even though the truth is out. When she went to see her mother in law,why can't Joon Ha joins her. Husband and wife should be handling this together. Secondly, in a working environment how can an employee just leave the office spent time resolving family matters. This is totally unacceptable. Joon ha's dad can be so blind and does not know what is going on. Every time, he made a stand, he will go to his room immediately. Sung Jae, a person married before can married again in the same place. I am sure his friends knew about his second marriage as the wedding poster was used as an advertisement campaign. I just feel that this is a very unrealistic story.

The fighting in office, putting company in losses do not make sense. Keep plotting to get back at each other shows the senior management has nothing better to do. These do not look good on korean culture. Please be realistic in the story line. I watched quite a number of korean drama and use to like them. Now, I do not as it does not make sense, very dragging and not realistic.

Joon Hyuk's case revealed and Eun Jung just knew that her ex-husband lied to the detective and told her to lied too.Frankly,I hate the character of Kang SungJae,Kwang Ja and Sungah.Why?SungJae,I admitted his character really crazy and faker.Kwang Ja,an annoying and greed for money woman.Sungah?She's cute but somehow her action made me annoyed..

EunJung plays a dumb housewife and with her equally dumb mother, are like doormats to be walked all over and bullied by the unscrupulous in-laws and immoral husband. The story seemed to support loose morals and bullying as evil reigns and losers take a beating, literally! It is like a story of how the baddies have their ways while the stupid continues to be losers and idiots. Very trying to watch and listen to the conversations between the idiotic characters. Script writer must be quite stupid and director just as dumb! No moments of intelligent conversation or events, sigh! Twists and turns are constructed by witholding important information that would have made the drama worth watching! Thinks the audience is stupid and cannot analyse? No where close to the HongKongers in storytelling! They are so good at it! But there are some good and smart dramas like Golden Cross, Lady Ki, The Incarnation of Money, Ruby Ring, Three Days, with interesting plots, challenging twists and turns and much intrigue! (Just to be fair)

He seems to care so much about his past husband, She keeps on seeing him, while he disregard completely his present husband. As if he was just using Joonha.to satisfy her own selfish motive. She is far from being a model wife to Joonha. in this drama. I don't know in the end if she will make up for her careless characterization.
