Geum-Bi (Heo Jung-Eun) is only 8-years-old, but she suffers from dementia. She is slowly losing her memory. Her father Hwi-Chul (Oh Ji-Ho) is a swindler. While taking care of Geum-Bi, he learns about the preciousness of life. Go Gang-Hee (Park Jin-Hee) becomes involved with Geum-Bi and Hwi-Chul.

MariusZ. Nov 03 2018 7:49 am A wonderful drama which shows just how much a little kid like Geum Bi can change the lives of so many people through her story, dignity and way of life. It's the kind of drama that makes you think about what's important in life and cherish it and the people that you love. Geum Bi plays the role of a little girl who suffers from premature dementis, which is a very rare disease and an awful situation for he and the people around her. There are many cases of children suffering from horrible diseases - one of the most covered cases in the media in the last few years is Bradley Lowery's, a young Sunderland fan whose idol was Jermain Defoe, a football player with whom he tied a connection somehow similar to the one between Geum Bi and Hwi Chul. I also appreciate this drama because it raises awareness around the Niemann-Pick disease (and probably around any kind of health problems that may affect children). Although the cases are rare, there are children who suffer from it. The ratings were so low not because the drama was bad in any way. On the contrary, it's one of the best dramas or series from around the world, that I ever seen. Great cast, acting, story and directing. It's obvious that the story is unconfortable to watch - I find it more like a true horror movie - because this things can happen for real. Although many K-Dramas are tearjerkers, this one is especially unconfortable to watch for many people, because it shows things that nearly everybody is afraid of, myself included. It's hard for most people to get out of their confort zone and watch or read such stories. But they exist, no matter how much we try to hide ourselves from them.

I love how Geum Bi became a part of everyone's life. Saranghae, Geum Bi-yah! I wish, this drama got what it's worth. I am so happy that I came across this drama. MUST WATCH!!!!!! Mar 01 2018 10:20 am This is an AMAZING DRAMA!! This drama made me cry, it made me laugh, it made realize how a disease can affect a family...truly a MASTERPIECE.

Towards the end, it gets a bit draggy but the feels overshadows any and every flaw this drama has...and I'm so happy that they received awards for their stellar acting..CONGRATULATIONS!!

But when I watched it esp. when Geum Bi actually knows she has that disease but pretending nothing happen, it breaks my heart. What makes this drama outstanding is Geum Bi character. All the actors did such a great job. The little girl that played Geum Bi is such a great actress. She gave life to Geum Bi, even at the saddest and funniest moments. This show is a must.

Mike Jan 21 2017 4:29 pm I just watched the final episode last night and I could not help but become emotional during the last scene. Heo Jung-Eun is an absolute cutie and was magnificent in the role as Yoo Geum-Bi. Her relationship with Mo Hwi-Chul (also played magnificently by Oh Ji-Ho) couldn't have been any more loveable - "you're so ugly." "No, you're so ugly." Between them, there was no better way to express the love they had for each other than that. This is why I watch Korean Dramas - sometimes there are plots that do have a real meaning and lack all of the gumball love relationships that have made me sometimes cynical of the writers who come up with the cheesy plots. This one, though, made me laugh and sometimes made me cry, and it is one of the best I've seen since I began watching Korean dramas. I just want to add that I watched another of my favorites last night - "Late Night Restaurant/Midnight Diner". It, too, is wonderfully scripted and touches your emotion with its different heartfelt tales. Both also have some very moving soundtracks that fit perfectly with the dramas.

In this drama she portrayed to be a ten year old girl, but in real she is I think only 8 y.o. if I am not mistaken. I cried so much in this drama, but there are light moments too, highly recommended!

The story line is so touching and leaves a positive feeling in everyone who touches Geum bi's heart. She has a natural talent that leaves the viewers in " awe". I would also like to give a lot of credit to the person who wrote the story. Just knowing how this one person was able to touch everyone around her and change their lives is a blessing in itself. This drama was very inspirational and we don't see many dramas/ movies like this too much!

Sometimes, the ratings didn't represent on how good the storyline and the acting of the casts but more to the popularity of actor/actress. If the ratings are so important, I think this will gives negative impacts on the drama, the PD, the screenwriter and the casts. It is really cruel and mean when the broadcast station cut the episodes of some dramas just because of no rank(NR). It really kills the creativity and reputation.

Nocturnal Dec 15 2016 5:08 pm I suspect the reason why this drama is not doing all that well with ratings in Korea is that the premise of child dementia is simply too much to swallow for most viewers. In general, the audience seems to prefer fluff and romance with a bit of angst thrown in but all with the assured happy ending. Historial drama break the mould in this respect, on occasion, but contemporary stories in which a little girl is slowly losing her mind is very dark territory for most. It is the kind of thing that you are much more likely to see in movies than in drama series. For the most part, viewers seem to care more for the actors' and their personal lives than in the ploy proper which often shows, too. With that said, I applaud the production team for daring to do something this risky. At the end of the day there are hundreds of lovey dovey K-drama out there but this kind of story does not come by every day.

I think her real father is lee jee hoon (high school friend's of hwi chul) because geum bi' mother was dating with cha chi soo (lee jee hoon) too. So it's possible his a real father of geum bi. Beside hwi chul didn't open the result of test dna, he burned the letter

Noriko Dec 10 2016 4:04 am I am a huge "oh my geumbi" fan and i love Heo Jung Eun (very talented),I don't get why the ratings are low compared to Legends of the Blue Sea,not that I dislike Lee Min Ho:) but the drama just doesn't seem real."Oh my Geumbi" captivates me so much that it is hard not to cry for an episode. Keep up the great work cast of oh my geumbi! :)

It's just hurts to see that it takes a special someone close to your heart to become sick for you to realize how much their worth really is. I definitely love the cast. The child actress Jung Eun and actor Ji ho definitely make a cute father and daughter pair. Their chemistry is adorable especially the way they call each other ugly. Lol And not to mention Them two and Jin hee being a cute little family is perfect! This drama brings tears, laughter, smiles, and pretty much all the feels! I can't believe it's NR yet!! As much as I like Romance/Comedy dramas this Melodrama/Family drama has definitely won my heart. I will continue to watch it to the end. I hope for a happy ending.

I fully understand why this drama is NR. The allure of "Legend....Blue Sea" is different for my attraction in watching and liking this drama. To watch this child actress, and its only been six episodes, is truly amazing.

I apologize for using "amazing" so many times.

We just so love her and Jin-Hee here in Manila... You guys may want to try watching it and you'll understand why we love this drama.... I'm sure this will be a big hit if this gets to be shown here in our country via a local channel
