jane Jul 29 2014 2:35 am I simply love this Shinya Shokudo 2. The storyline is simple yet touching. I have yet to watch season 1 but season 2 already won my heart. This is one of the best J-Drama that I have ever watched. Kudos to the team production. I will give 9 out of 10 although this drama is in 2009. I was late in watching though. :)

The rating I give is 90%.

Even if you didn’t watch the first season, you will like this drama- guaranteed. Because of it’s simplicity, food and splendid characters,you’ll be satisfied watching the customers and the chef of the late night diner, even if the episode is only 30 minutes long. Out of every episode, there is a moral taught, food cooking, customers gossiping, and customers eating. What I love most about this drama is the portrayal of how characters deal with what life hits them with. For an example, a stripper meets with an old classmate she hasn’t seen since graduation. All that goes through her mind is that she doesn’t want to tell people what she does for a living. She shuns herself because others shunned her. But, in the end, she learns that it doesn’t matter what others think; if she could lift her chin up and take pride in what she does, then no one can bring her down again.

But, I suggest you to start watching any episode. ^^ This or the last season.
