Ko Hye-Rim (Han Ye-Seul) is a famous fortune-teller. She is known as "Madame Antoine" and insists that she is spiritually connected to Marie Antoinette, but that part is a lie. She is able to see through people's stories due to her intelligence and keen sense. She dreams of having love in a romantic film.

Ko Hye-Rim then takes part in a psychological test project conducted by psychotherapist Choi Soo-Hyun (Sung Joon). His goal is to prove that true love does not exist. Coincidentally, the name for his psychological treatment center is Madame Antoine.

"Madame Antoine" takes over the JTBC's Friday & Saturday 20:30 time slot previously occupied by "D-Day" and followed by "My Horrible Boss" March 18, 2016.
First script reading took place October 27, 2015 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul, South Korea.

Brian Aug 29 2021 2:06 pm Loved this show... Watched it 3x. Han Ye Seul was terrific. Many of the other actors were also quite excellent. In five years of watching kdramas this was one of my favorites... I have watched maybe 150 shows in that time after nearly 60 years of watching American TV.

Drama worm Nov 27 2020 5:47 pm Sooo first of all The Dram Was Good. I Liked It A Lot. I was hesitant at first because people were saying stuff like this drama is 'waste of time' or 'dropped after few episode'. But I watched it it was funny and represhing. Loved it. If you are hesitant like me just give it a try. If its your taste then its good. After all human preferences are different. I hope you wont decide by others opinion. Also for the people who were saying Soohyun is jerk. Stfu, you do not know how scary childhood trauma is. I loved their character and personalities, they were logical given to the situation. Although there are certain points where I wished there were more. Still overall it was good for me.

It was well written and insightful with the last two episodes being the most powerful. Sung Joon rocked it and left me in tears. WoW. He is really good you guys.

RA Nov 27 2016 11:11 am This drama started good and really had a huge potential as it progressed, it started to fall all over the place. The leads pretty much did a good job. I do think that the script was written haphazardly and the editing was done poorly. One thing that bothered me a lot is the psychologist's office. Why would you have sharp objects lying on a consultation office when more or less, the patients are unstable and could be harmful to themselves or others? The thing about the CCTVs and alarms are too hard to ignore as well. It really isn't consistent and I think the acting is wasted when they did really good and the chemistry is just right.

TLDR: I'd rate this 6.5/10. For my love for Sung Joon, that's a considerate rating. I'm disappointed about the plot, writing and progression of the story.

cotton Mar 28 2016 9:54 am This is the most fun experience I had with a psychology-themed Kdrama! :) Kill Me, Heal Me is up there as well but this one is just really light-hearted. I can feel the show's effort to make it easy and entertaining for the viewers.

It did feel dragging in the middle there when the experiment conflict kept being tossed around between the two main characters... I was like, "enough of this already". Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it just as much :)

Props to Sung Joon for playing a role 10-years more than his real age and very believably at that! This is the best I have seen him so far in a Kdrama. I'm also glad to see Han Ye-Seul really doing great with her Kdramas after her disaster of a project from 2011.

laian Mar 17 2016 6:41 am i feel the only good thing in this drama is sung joon although his acting also is very much the same as in other dramas but its not boring..the female lead Han ye sul is not that great an actress and she is comletely unable to express any emotions on face..spepcially her crying scenes are badly done and one cant see any movements on her face..n the other two leads are not at all impressive and not much noticeable at all..n story very very lame..especially the medical cases have been treated like a piece of joke..one case per episode n no follow up.. @az90 ..i gave it up at ep 12..so better not to start at all coz kdramaland offers bunch of dramas ton times better

christina Mar 10 2016 1:16 am Just finished ep 13. As I watched, I don't find the story so exceptional...but I think Sung Joon sparkled here. I am dead sure he enjoyed so much working as Dr Choi,as much as I enjoyed watching him...I kept rewinding the part when he was giving a hypothesis on Chairman Kim to Hye-Rim. I love that aura of his...look at his ways, the expressions, as he seems thinking out loud. When one loves what he does, the best surfaces. Sung-Joon needed not to keep kissing women to attract attention. Sung-Joon sshi, I hope you will be in the top 10 and favourite of 2016.

It's a fluffy drama, specked with drama and humor, good actress and actor leads, a fun twist to the theme. Basically a spicy cocktail of all those fun elements you could want a drama to have, plus some small twists.

It's ridiculous to point out an actress's age or if she is paired with younger men when their is many dramas and movies with unattractive or average older men with much younger girls and no one seems to point that out and just enjoy the show for what it is.

Many dramas people root for the average man to win the girl who is quite younger or attractive then himself. It's funny some people can't when it's a woman instead. And especially a beautiful woman like Han Ye Seul. I don't see her age just a lovely character wanting what every human being wants- to be loved.

This drama is progressing really well so far, i hope it continues to do good. And the background music is awesome. It fits every scene. She probably didn't mention that she was stood up from a musical but he immediately knew about it. It could've been just a movie. That's why she was smiling broadly when he asked that, and she figured it all out right then. Im loving this so far. The experiment will have reverse effect. He's gonna be the one who falls for her.

I loved Jin Woon from the time I watched Dream High 2 [though that drama sucked from the 7th episode onwards] But because of him I even landed up watching 'Marriage Not Dating' and I loved that drama!!

I can't say anything about Han Ye-Seul. She has a very fake smile. Even in 'Birth of a Beauty' her smile always irked me. But I took it as a plastic surgery problem [in the drama] and ignored it.

I'm gonna watch this just because of Jin Woon and Sung Joon! Love you guys!
