Kasane Fuchi (Kyoko Yoshine) is the daughter of a beautiful, legendary actress. Kasane has excellent acting skills as well, but she is not attractive. She has a hard time due to her unattractiveness. Kasane has a lipstick left behind by her late mother. The lipstick holds a strange power. Whenever Kasane applies the lipstick and kisses someone, she takes that person's face.

Meanwhile, Nina Tanzawa (Tao Tsuchiya) is a beautiful actress with poor acting skills. She meets Kasane Fuchi and their fates change.

Notes

Based on manga series "Kasane" by Daruma Matsuura (first published 2013 in Japanese seinen manga magazine Evening).
Filming began August 4, 2017 and finishes mid-September, 2017.

Susan Oct 07 2018 8:45 am I just took the opportunity to watch the movie when I'm in Japan. Although it didn't have any English subtitles the movie held me intrigued the whole time. Tao and Kyoko were really good in it, especially Tao. You could tell from the way she moves, the look in her eyes and of course the way she talks when she is Nina and when she is Kasane. I really recommend this movie to everyone who wants to see a different side of Tao.

Japanese audience attend the stage during shooting and said she did great and gives a different aura this make me hope to watch the movie faster. And Kyoko Yoshine I hope she can prove herself too regardless her looks though

It is not that Yoshine's acting is bad, but she is definitely a miscast this time around (well, she is miscast 80% of the time tho, i.e. second half of Beppin-san and Chiisana no Kyojin). She is way too cute and good looking to play this role. On the other hand, Anna tends to perform her bests in darker and 'raw' role like this.
