Sofian May 13 2020 7:12 am I have been doing a yearly JU-ON marathon since 2016, sometime before SADAKO VS KAYAKO was released, so imagine my excitement when I discovered through this very website that there's going to be a television show now. At first I thought it was probably a mistake, but I eventually ended upon on Netflix with a trailer included. I watched the first 15 seconds or so before I decided to tap out and just save it for when all the episodes get released in one go. Those 15 seconds were enough to conclude that there's going to be a heavy reliance on atmosphere which is pretty much the only thing that could possibly creep out a seasoned horror veteran like myself. Western horror movies don't do it for me, although there will be a rare gem once in a while that could creep me out (LAKE MUNGO, LAST SHIFT and THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES) whereas Japanese horror does it consistently for me. I can't wait for this to come out. Needless to say, 3/7 seems so far away considering it's 13/5 as of today.
