Song Yun-Ah married actor Sol Kyung-Gu on May 28th, 2009. They previously worked together in the 2002 film "Jail Breakers" and the 2006 film "Lost in Love".

I can't even see and give into thoughts that Yoo Jin's characters was something wicked. Phenomenal acting! Just perfect! I can't resist myself from rewinding each and every Choi Yoo Jin's scenes and I've already lost count about how many times I have watched it. Song Yoon Ah had shown such a versatility in K2 that made a lot people go crazy about her. The way her face flickers with emotions! Just rocking!

I've honestly reflected on your role and i realized how important it really is to never ever judged a person solely on what our two ears have heard and two eyes have seen. Rather, we are to look beyond. What's behind the fierce looking face, what's behind the greediness, what's behind the tears, what's behind the smile, cause definitely the reality lies more in what we cannot see. It is the only key to understand and accept the people around us. LKB Nov 18 2016 2:33 pm I'd only seen a couple of minor roles of hers before K2, but her amazing performance made me look her up on here--especially when she and Ji Chang Wook lock eyes several times (from the first gun-to-her-head one to the middle ones of mixed pity, loathing, and oddly bonded trust to the final few)... and when she cried or her lip/chin shook naturally in the rare times her character totally lost her composure, yikes I felt like I shouldn't be looking at her. She delivered more raw emotion than all the other actors on the show combined (Yoona's character didn't have enough depth/dimension, JCW's had too much action and while definitely enough dimension/depth not enough time delving into it compared to fighting like that's all that ever happens)... her character was the only one that was raw, gritty, and fully realized by the writers and moreso Song Yoon A. She made Choi Yoo Jin into a fully human being, scarred, angry, hurt, lonely, defensive, aggressive but with a weakness that developed brilliantly... I wasn't interested in Assembly when it aired and somehow missed Mama altogether despite its awards (PaekSang awards are usually quite stringent with criteria and don't just go for numbers by a long shot, so I pay them a lot of attention while the network ones are just popularity contests mixed with "what the actors/staff respected" sorts of awards)... In any case, Mama is next up in my marathon list. She is a total rockstar and holy moly what a wonderfully non-traditional beauty she possesses.

Long Story Short=amazing work, Yoon A-ssi who's barely-an-eonni to me! I hope it gets you more great roles (it's also nice to see people who don't just take a hundred thousand roles from all directions or who take the same sort of role over and over)! Congrats on the ~5% rating, which is great for cable shows (tvN/JTBC the equivalents of Showtime&HBO).

aerin Nov 15 2016 11:09 am Watched this drama for JCW and unexpectedly hooked by her. She played the villain role extremely well. In one moment I hated her to death, but in the next second she managed to make me pity her. Her acting was superfine. Definitely one of the villain character that I enjoyed watching. She delivered the emotion exceptionally well. I was very impressed. She deserves some kind of award for this role.

I love how she projects her emotions so clearly and it really shows how good of an actress she is because she can divert your feelings towards her character flexibly---one minute you hate her and then the next, you adore her. She's able to make you empathize with her character's situation. Props to everyone on The K2 because everyone did swell. I hope that Song Yoon Ah gets an award and more good dramas with amazing plots because she deserves to showcase herself more. Daebak!! Song Yoon Ah hwaiting!!

PS I am still not over Jang Se Joon and Choi Yoo Jin's ending scene/dialogue :(

simmi Nov 12 2016 4:32 pm WOW!!....well let me first. thank the drama K2 which get me, acquainted to this Beautiful...Incredibly talented...Elegant...Sophisticated.....Brilliant Korean actor!!...WAAH!!...her performance was a complete 10 on 10 and has made me her fan!forever.....now i will look for her in future drama/movie watching......her talent is, in my opinion of world class acting kind of the calibre of Judy Dench or Meryl Streep of Hollywood fame...:) The Drama K2!... she completely carried on her shoulders and mesmerised all fanz with her brilliant portrayal of both a vindictive yet strong,negative character!!....Me too completely blown by her performance and just believe that she would not miss a much deserving award for this...:)

Markus_13 Nov 01 2016 4:48 am There are 2 people who pull off the K2 series: Choi Yoo-Jin and Song Yoon-A. And they both carry really hard. I'm not trying to say that other actors are bad, but Song Yoon-A plays so good that her character draws more attention than anybody else in this drama, even main characters arouse less interest than Choi Yoo-Jin. I watch K-dramas for a long time, but i just can't imagine actress who could play this character better than Song Yoon-A. Actually i've started to watch Assembly and Mama series only because of her great acting. I don't know what awards there are for actors in South Korea, but Song Yoon-A definitely deserves one (or more =).

Tom A Dec 18 2011 4:32 am It was a total melt down for me to see Sung Yua ah as a judge in the performance of the wonder boy Choi Sung Boi ( notice the have same name Sung !) . There was two angels in the room, and she has the most adorable cute voice , like a trip to paradise. Every time I am over worked I go to you Tube and hear her voice, then I can continue again for hours. What a cutie....
