Plot

The man of the vineyard” is a comic story about a girl from a big city who moves to a village to make money for starting her own business and meets there a person working in a grape field. Dreaming of setting up her own apparel firm, Ji-hyun one day receives an alluring offer from her relative who promises her to leave a big grape field when he dies if she works in the field for a year. At first, Ji-hyun insists she will never in her life work on a farm, but eventually ends up becoming a farmer because of her ever-complaining mother. Ji-hyun decides to try her best to achieve her dream of becoming an entrepreneur by inheriting the grape field, but being a farmer turns out a challenging task. To make things worse, the person she meets in the village, Taek-ki, keeps driving her crazy. However, after many twists and turns Ji-hyun adapts to rustic life and opens up to the warmhearted residents of the village as well as ends up falling in love with Taek-ki. Lee Ji-hyun is a girl from a big city who moves to a rural village to earn money to start her own business. She adores money as the standard of everything in life and the sole purpose of living. However, that doesn’t mean that she recklessly pursues windfall profits. This upbeat, a bit indiscreet yet talented girl has a good sense of style and dreams of creating her own apparel brand someday. Loved that it was before shameless product placement and was so respectful of rural life, the value of hands-on skilled work, the preference for using organic agricultural methods, the ML's wanting his love to be like good soil for FL, who used a treadle sewing machine, which I remember from my childhood on my grandparents' farm in Minnesota. Very gentle and very romantic story of a spoiled and quite immature city girl falling in love with a shy, inexperienced in love, but very smart farmer who didn't coddle her to win her. The music was sweet, and I finally looked up the song about Genghis Khan they sang without remembering the words LOL. It turns out to be a song from Germany that was an entry for EuroVision 1989: Dschinghis Khan (English translation: "Genghis Khan") was the West German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1979, performed in German by Dschinghis Khan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeXG9-wyzw0

Jilli Dec 07 2022 3:27 pm A sweet, funny, pastorale Korean drama love story, the kind they sadly don't make as much anymore in Korea. The leading man is an Everyman type of fellow instead of a knock out good looking sophisticated city guy. He loves working in the beautiful vineyard farm, and when he meets the granddaughter of the farm's owner, a rather flighty city girl, it's not exactly love at first sight. But that's the charm of it: watching them fall in love against all odds. Gorgeous OST, cinematography, spot on acting by everyone in the cast, make this a total gem to enjoy. In my case, over and over and over again.

dramalover Nov 20 2021 4:39 am whenever I watched this, it reminded me of "Flower Shop Without A Rose - Bara No Nai Hanaya" , the japanese drama which the main character was also sweet or plain somehow..both are underwatched by asian drama enthusiastics.

Even though it it's a bit long for it's plot, I wouldn't really mind since the atmosphere of the story is just really nice, simple and relaxing. Love Jang Taek Go so much!!!!!!! ????? He's a very good guy, forget a flower man picked a man with a good heart instead ♥️♥️♥️

Moriaelini Sep 25 2018 2:27 am I honestly do not get why people like this so much. Had the characters not been so annoying...and this includes both leads and second leads...it would been okay. But how many times does the second female lead need to be told that the lead no longer likes her? She is one I found most annoying. She knew the two leads were in love with each other and yet she continually pushes herself between them and fosters misunderstandings betwwen them. Disgusting. The second male lead is just meh. When the two second leads took off into the mountains at night just so they could stop the two leads from getting close, I was done.

They got her out, away from the comforts of home, and she took to it like a duck does to water. Co-star Oh Man-seok is both believable and admirable in his role as a gifted mind with his heart in the right place, and his "city girl" antagonist learns to release her inner beauty in this hilarious "fish out of water" romance. It always pays to trace these marvelous talents backwards to find their roots. When one traces the path of Yoon Eun Hye's popularity, the reasons for it's existance become clear from the immediate onset of her marvelous career. Don't miss out!
