AD May 31 2026 12:14 pm Choo Young Woo is such a great actor. It took me a while to watch this series since it came out because I was afraid of how heavy it would be. I wasn’t wrong! It was so beautiful, my heart ached so much. It’s been a while since a drama has left me so speechless! The writing, the acting, everything was so good.

But honestly this made me a much bigger fan of Choo Young Woo especially after watching Trauma Code and Head Over Heels.

Last time I this amazed was The Red Sleeve and The Alchemy of Souls. It keeps you at the edge of your seat but at the same time crying because of how great all the actors are as well. I just did not expect so many deaths in the series so it really leaves you with a slight ache.

Of course, I have to give it to Lim Ji Yeon as well. Her acting is exceptional. I love how she gave life to this character.

Regardless of critics, this was a great drama worthy of praise. It’s difficult to find a drama that I can say was beautifully written and entertaining albeit sad at times. Most dramas are usually predictable especially with the conflict but I did not expect that things would unfold the way it did.

His acting skills are impressive in both the drama about the young woman with anterograde amnesia and where he’s a vet in the countryside. However, his serious, intense face suddenly completely transformed in the vet drama when he smiles, going from OK to blindingly handsome. Keep smiling! There are several Kdrama actors I can think of who have exceedingly handsome serious faces that transform into a bit goofy when they smile, so it’s better this way, I think

maki Aug 07 2025 9:48 am I first noticed him in Police University (2021). Even then, I could already see his potential—his tall stature, captivating aura, and impressive acting skills. He has a presence that draws you in more and more as you watch him.

Since then, I’ve followed his work in Once Upon a Small Town, The Tale of Lady Ok, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, Mercy for None, and Head Over Heels. I’m currently watching Oasis, and I’m excited to see him take on the role of a villain—even though historical fiction and sageuk aren’t usually my go-to genres.

He’s such a versatile actor. With six roles in 2025, I’m looking forward to his next project—whether it’s a Korean drama or a film.

In “Trauma Code: Heroes On Call”, he plays Dr. Yang Jae-won/“Anus” on a different level even though the personality of each the characters he plays are totally different from each other! This is what I call a professional actor. And perhaps, this is how he got to star with Cha Tae-hyun, Ju Ji-hoon, So Ji-sub and many more!

But after watching Head Over Heels, I was amazed to see him playing two characters as Gyeonu + Bongsu. Then I continued to watch The Tale of Lady Ok while HOH was still ongoing and was hooked on him! (No wonder he won Best New Actor @ Baeksang Award!) His talent is amazing! Sorry for being late to notice his presence ㅠ_ㅠ I will continue to support Choo Youngwoo from now on! Fighting cuyoung ??

Hopefully, he would get more excellent projects in the next few months or years so we could watch him again. This guy can act and i'm telling you, his facial expressions are so natural even in the trauma code drama. He doesn't look cringe and oa when doing subtle comedy rather i find it actually funny even if he's not saying anything just his face acting alone is enough to make his scenes hilarious.

I think he has been typecast-ed as a "Tall lanky slightly awkward capable/logical person with heart of gold", but goddamn he was perfect for that role. I wish him all the success and gets to do variety different character as he wish to do in the future.

He captured my heart while I was watching Once Upon a Small Town, what a lovely and heart fluttering drama! The tale of Lady Ok tho, his acting is on another level there. Wow, just wow. Mesmerising. I hope to see him in more roles, from different kind of genres, I will support his talent either way. Still I have a soft spot for him as a romantic lead.

And the more I look at him the more he reminds me of both Ahn Hyo Seop and Rowoon, he has kinda similar face features. And he smiles like Kim Seo Ha, very beautiful smile. While also having his own charm. Wishing him success in life and career!
