A worldwide pandemic causes the medical system to collapse across the world, including Japan. Under this very difficult situation, the best university hospital in Japan, Totei University Hospital, makes the decision to focus on infectious disease and internal treatments, while postponing any noncritical scheduled surgeries. The hospital also faces a power struggle, while dealing with the infectious disease crisis. No matter what, Michiko Daimon (Ryoko Yonekura) goes her way as a surgeon.

Jane Mar 30 2023 11:43 am I do really hope in the next season 8, Michiko Daimon will be entering a romancing surgery with Ryutaro Hachisuka. They both are compatible Hachisuka is very patient with Michiko,

who is sloppy and eccentric. They held the same outlook, saving human lives and disregarding status and fame.

In few episodes I thought this is carrier end of Michiko and she will come back but any how she managed the situation and I have to believe her A doctor should not leave her patient, even she got lassa fever for that,.... Tune Nix Feb 13 2022 9:41 am I'm watching season 7 when I read in the news that a member of the Japanese royal family came down with COVID and was hospitalized at Tokyo University hospital. I can't help but imagine the parade of doctors led by "Hachisuka" bowing and falling all over themselves welcoming the very important patient. It's like episode 7 when a gov't minister checked into the VIP suite.

Speaking of episode 7, I think this is where this series finally jumped the shark. I'm aware that a lot of the stuff going on in this show is farce or exaggerated or completely implausible but there is always a grain of truth that keeps it attached to reality somehow. However, whatever came down in episode 7 is illegal on so many levels that there is not one grain of believability that it could ever, ever happen.

End of season 6, i just search for season 7(actually dont know just release)and shocked.In one day i finished season 7.I dont know, but i feel different watching this drama.Feel more confident to do something and happy (before this my life so stress).Honestly, this drama can built character someone to be more indipendent, confident and firm.Please continue to next season..I am begging..please...

I just watched the last episode, and maybe it's only me, because I'm a little bit disappointed with the ending. I mean, I want Doctor Hachisuka and Michiko go to Safiristan (or Sarifistan?) together - I mean Doctor Hachisuka is actually nice and kind, and he deserves his happiness to be with Michiko. But yeah, I think if Michiko really go to Safiristan with Doctor Hachisuka, it'd be unlike Michiko herself, because she looks either clueless or not interested in romantic things.

My opinion aside, I love this season. And also, Ben Casey has a son named Gannon. The cats are really cute, I want to pet them. I love this 7th season of Doctor-X.

Ashura Dec 26 2021 5:54 am @Madara Uchiha True, this season is the best. Actually Hachisuka more similar to Tange than Uchikanda. The last season very possible I heard rumor Ryoko separated with her previous agency badly but her agency pursuade her for take role in this season because they can be sued by TV Asahi since both party already make contract.

Madara Uchiha Dec 20 2021 4:06 am Great season so far, I was hopeful there will be more Covid-19-related thing but eventually it only shown in first episode. I like this season that bring some past characters like Mori the influencer, ex-Chief of Nurse, as well as Hara "Kin" Mamoru from mid season. I also like the potrayal of Hachisuka by Mansai Nomura, he play rivalry for Hiruma Incho similar to Uchikanda in season 5. Doctor Eggs will be a good company to watch after the last episode, and let's hope there will be more of Doctor-Y (and possibly Nurse-X hinted in the 4th episode) produced in the future. Hopefully this won't be the last season for Doctor-X.
