Plot

Yeong-min (Kim Min-Jun), a high school dropout, attempts to raise money to pay for his grandmother's surgery. He ends up losing at a round of "hwatu" - an Asian card game - and crosses over to the dark side, learning the tricks of the trade from top cardshark Ah Gwi (Kim Kap-Soo). Yeong-min's friend Go-ni, (Jang Hyuk), also partakes in card playing. They then cross paths with Madame Jeong and her apprentice Mi-na (Han Ye-Seul). Mi-na was Goni's childhood sweetheart and Yeong-min's first love ...

Based on the successful 2006 movie "Tazza: The High Rollers", the TV drama series "Tazza" features a revamped storyline, an infusion of humor and brand-new characters (while retaining central characters Go-ni, Ah-gwi, and Madame Jeong).

Taja Dec 21 2016 11:54 pm If you liked Tazza, check out All In 2003 starring Lee Byung Hun and Song Hye Kyo, one of the dramas hailed for making the K Drama king internationally, also has one of the best soundtracks. Another fav of is Swallow the Sun 2009 with Ji Sung and Sung Yu Ri.

kupukupumu Aug 27 2015 9:28 am Just wondering, is this drama really produced and released in 2008? The background looks so old, i.e., cars, TV, no handphone, etc. In 2008, (South) Korea for sure already have flat screens and mobile phone everywhere. Just curious.

Excellent romance set in the world of card gamblers... ... Well written... ...Great acting.... Jang Hyuk and Han Ye-Seul had great chemistry....Although it is a traditional k-drama, it is very well executed !!!

Gasenadi Feb 21 2012 9:31 pm Although it seems like a clone of All In, this is one good drama. I'm a sucker for dramas in which medical expenses wreak havoc in people's lives. And also for big-hearted friends wanting to help, but getting in trouble for doing so. This is one roller-coaster ride. Then, the ending is so sweet with it's "moral" of the story and Jang Hyuk making the rounds among the ajummas. Loved it!
